Great views of the city and the water. Food is great (we tried the burger, tuna poke, and wings). The drinks are pretty good too. Amazing views of the Giants game if you happen to be there for a home game. Spots available upstairs and downstairs with views of the water. Only downside is that they didn’t have heaters upstairs.

We tried this place because it was advertised as the brunch spot during the Metallica 40th anniversary celebration. What was advertised as the brunch was a bit misleading. We expected a brunch menu with specialty drinks and good array of food. They had a few drinks listed but didn’t have a brunch offering. So we ordered a breakfast sandwich and pancakes. It was nothing special (see photos) and drinks were subpar. Staff was friendly. Atmosphere was a general bar. Maybe lunch or dinner seafood options and drinks are better? Wanted to love this place but we will pass on giving it another try.

ATWater Tavern was such a pleasant surprise. We wanted to eat "on the water." We are also cautious with covid. We were seated in the outside heated tent on a chilly SF afternoon. The setting was wonderful! The seafood stew was excellent as well. And the service was exceptional. We were treated so kindly and our whole meal was a special outing. We will definitely return!

I just hosted a Celebration of Life party for my sister and I cannot think of enough superlatives to describe the experience! We held it in the private venue upstairs, using both the The Crow's Nest (indoor area) and The Perch (outside deck with bay views). This part of SF is a delightful micro-climate that is frequently sunny and warm while other parts of the city can be foggy. Christina, the catering manager, was always responsive, detailed, and extremely helpful in so many ways, including menu suggestions, cutting down the amounts of food as I was over-estimating what we needed, helping me find the perfect florist, and allowing me to email her my 4+ hour Spotify playlist curated for this event; there were inside and outside speakers with separate sound controls. This was my first time planning an event, and of course it was difficult while grieving the loss of my sister. Christina made it all so easy, and the event was truly flawless. Everyone raved about the delicious food, (deviled eggs, caprese skewers, vegetarian pinwheels, Spanish meatballs, mini crab cakes, white truffle mac and cheese balls, pulled pork sliders, burger sliders with cheddar, roasted red pepper aioli and caramelized onions, fish and chip cones, Caesar salad, roasted vegetable flatbread pizzas, and a platter of dessert bars-- raspberry Linzer, caramel brownies, lemon bars), the amazing service: Luis, Stephanie, and Jasmine worked like a well-oiled machine, and they all clearly loved their jobs; it felt as if I had a loving family helping me through the day. Many thanks to the staff for the perfect day. I highly recommend them!

Update- the owner, John accused this review as "bullying" so I have to take further protections. We had high hopes for this establishment and had very mixed reviews. The drinks and most of the food (minus the hummus, pitas and seafood) were amazing! Our bill was incorrect TWO times which we noticed and had fixed- and then on top of that we were billed incorrectly yet again after we still left a 20%+ tip (much higher than deserved as this was based also off SF taxes and fees on top of CA taxes and fees- not just food prices). The server then added an extra $10 to the $40 we left which was unethical and shady. Being billed higher, but hoping we wouldn't notice? I contacted the manager/Owner, John who said he would take care of it and refund the evening/ but then he only refunded the tip. Quite insulting, really. Honestly- the food was hit or miss, servers were new and inexperienced- clearly taking advantage of folks, and I just don't trust the servers or the management and would advise against anyone eating there.

Great location for a pre-Chase event or pre-Giants game. There is indoor or outdoor seating. The service was great. The prices are not bad. The food was just ok. Nothing special in my opinion. The menu is standard: burgers, a few salads, chicken dishes, a pizza etc. We had shrimp cocktails, a Caesar Salad with added chicken, and a grilled chicken sandwich with fries. The added chicken was dry and kind of tasteless. The Caesar Salad had a lot of added fried capers. Didn't care for that. The fries were overcooked and tasteless. The shrimp cocktail was good. There were five pieces in a tangy cocktail sauce. Again, it's a great location to either venue and the service was great.

This is the perfect place for tourists or locals. It's not touristy and most of the locals frequent this place. It sits on the water and it is in between the Warriors and the giants stadium. Food is great and reasonably priced for San Francisco. If you want more affordable food head to the Mission. They are super friendly and always accommodating. We'll run organization. I'll be back for more.

The food here is great, it's my boss' favorite place to take the team. They have $1 oysters for happy hour and deals on drinks. If you're able/it's warm enough to sit outside, it's nice. The parking situation can be tough as there is mostly only AT&T park overflow parking.

Visited a friend that lives in SF and she suggested ATwater Tavern for brunch. This is a hidden gem. It was an unusually sunny and warmer day in the city which was perfect to sit outside by the the water. I had the crab eggs benedict and my friend had the mussels and fries. We also shared the poke as a starter. Everything was excellent and reasonably priced. Service was a little slower than I would have liked but it was a busy day with events nearby. Overall, a great experience and will return in the future.

Atwater tavern is it chill spot to kick it before the Giants game. It is in walking distance to the park. It also has outdoor seating with some water. Can't be these happy hour prices from 3 to 5. I believe with dollar oysters. This will be my go to spot for pregame drinks when I go to a night game. Recommend this buff for pregaming and will definitely be back for future events.

Fabulous! Looking for a place to watch the 1st half of the Niners playoff game before Cirque de Soleil. Wandered in and found seats at the bar. Super nice & great service even as they got very busy. The food is four stars as it is what would be expected at this price point. The location and service were outstanding. I cannot over emphasize the high level of attentive service which made up for the canned lemonade! Pizza looks homemade which is a bump up on the food and the burger was just fine. I asked for a few things a certain way (extra avacado, etc) and it all showed up, lounging on the burger ready to eat. What a concept...meet the customer requests...how did that happen?! See photos of this fine lunch attached and note there is free parking at the edge of the pay lot, about ten spaces or so if ur lucky.

Who remembers Jelly's? A place that, back in the day, use to host live salsa music on Sundays. Well, to my surprise, the space is now ATWater Tavern. I had no clue there was a restaurant way back, behind Parking Lot D. I went there for brunch and bevies, a tradition every summer where a big group of us gather for Saturday or Sunday day drinking... with food first. We were 10 deep this time. We sat outside in the patio on a 70 degree day in SF - perfect weather! Our server was a very nice and attentive lady. I had the bacon omelette which came with potatoes. I ordered a side of sourdough toast. It was good. A mix of veggies, cheese and bacon in the omelette. I also had a tall cup of coffee, which was strong. Everyone else in my party reported feeling happy and satisfied with their meals. I would return to ATwater again.

Completely adorable inside and out. Convenient location right outside the parking lot of the stadium. Sat at the bar for a lovely cocktail while awaiting an uber. The staff was sweet to allow us in as they were closing. The bartender was helpful and attentive. I'll use this as an Uber point into the stadium for now on! Met here for a before Giants game/ birthday celebration! First off, it was crowded but I have to say, the bartenders were amazing and so fast! They were on it, as were the servers! So polite and friendly... Being as busy as it was, they had no problem keeping up with our party of 17 plus some! The food was great , and also came fast. First time there! We will be back, for sure! Went back after the Giants game, and Christina, the events coordinator remembered us and took care of us. Put us on the patio with heaters and all! Such a nice experience!!

The service and location was great; unfortunately, the food was not so great. Came on a Sunday during happy hour and was told about the $1 oysters. I opted in for a dozen to split with a friend and we both noticed some of the oysters did not look fresh and had a weird texture. There was one that tasted so rotten I had to spit it out. I've eaten oysters a million times before and have never had a bad experience. So if you're looking for oysters by the water, I do NOT recommend this place. I requested my burger to be cooked medium well but upon cutting into it, it was red (cooked more on the rare side). They fixed the burger by sending out a new one which I appreciated. Just a heads up to people who need their meat thoroughly cooked. Some of their bar foods like French fries and the calamari were solid - can never go wrong with those. Overall, I did enjoy the nice weather on a patio with great service but the food was the main killer for me. Unfortunately, I don't think I'd be back to dine.

Service was friendly, although they wouldn't let us sit outside without a reservation before the ballgame. Chilaquiles was probably not as good as a great Mexican restaurant, but at least as good as a pretty good Mexican restaurant. We had a good time.

Stopped through here for beers and snacks with a work crew. Most of this rating is for the vibe - the back deck was great, the servers were awesome. We didn't really eat, so can't speak much to the food. But it was a cool spot! I had a High Noon Seltzer, and not to make this an add about seltzer but it was very nice. So I came here on a Sunday when there was no Giants or Warriors games scheduled around 3pm. I had Jordan as my server and he is great! Perfect smile, friendly and attentive. He made my visit extra special. I had the happyhour $1 oysters which they have everyday from 3-6pm, limit 12. They were delicious! I also got a side of fries and they were crispy with sea salt and a side of red pepper aioli. Yummy. Washed it all down with a cold crisp Kolsch. Sat on the patio next to the water in the sun and listened to great hit music. Such a nice day. I will be back for happy hour for sure but I want to try the Mussels and fries next time. I parked in lot A for Oracle Park and scanned the qr code for hourly rate. Easy. Enjoy.

We came here for dinner before the Lauryn Hill concert. The food was good. The steak was a little dry. The Poke was great the flavor was very tasty! The service was great, attentive and friendly. The ambiance in the restaurant was nicely designed with the basketball game on so we could also watch the game. Give this place a try!

4.5 Stars to be exact. I had to go to Chase center and this restaurant is very close by. The service was pretty quick, we were on a time crunch and everything came out on time. We ordered a paella, fish and chips, and an ahi tuna salad. The paella was the best of them all. It had a great portion, a great balance of acidity and fat, and a good amount of seafood. I was very happy with the portion of the paella giving the goddamn prices in San Francisco. It was also a very delicious dish in general. The one shortcoming with the paella was the seasoning. It needed just a tiny bit more seasoning but it was delicious nonetheless. The ahi tuna was seasoned perfectly, portion is as expected and all the components taste right. The dressing was incredibly fresh and elevates the salad and the tuna. The fish and chips is just fish and chips, nothing too special. Overall, this restaurant had great pricing, portions and balance. I'd definitely come here again!

We stopped in to ATwater after the Giants game. The Happy Hour of $1 per oyster and $1 per jalapeño was worth the stop. I really enjoyed the oysters and would come back for just that (and could have easily ordered a handful more.) Nothing else on the menu really stood out to me as appetizing but I ordered the lobster ravioli because I needing something of substance before I hit the road. It wasn't something I'd come back for. The sauce was almost "hollandaise-ish" and the lobster was on the more fishy tasting side. It was an average dish at best. Our waiter was awesome. He was super attentive and funny and made for a positive experience. If I were to come back here, it would simply be for the happy hour.

We went here before going to the game. It is directly on the water and within walking distance from Chase Center. There is a lot of construction around this restaurant, but don't be detoured. The food was excellent, and the staff was great. We were in a bit of a rush, but we enjoyed the coconut shrimp, calamari, and Brussels sprouts. Everything was delicious. I would highly recommend eating here!! If it is a nice day take advantage of the ocean view! We could not partake since we had no reserve, and it was game day.

The location feels a bit out of place, but was happy to try a new place in Mission Bay! We sat inside and it was cute decor and lots of twinkle lights but limited seating and felt a bit stuffy. We barely made it for happy hour and were able to get $1 oysters! (3-6pm) The beet hummus was good and pita and fries were served warm. The aioli the fries were served with was an odd taste but the calamari was good not too chewy and large portion. The ahi salad was decent, huge serving and good flavor to the tuna and dressing! Good service and generous wine pours, definitely a good place to catch up after a long day of work!

Came here for the first time last Friday for their happy hour. A friend who lives nearby recommended this place, so we decided to come here. Coming inside for the first time, the decor was very wood with a lot of sea/ocean-related decor, which was an awesome vibe. We decided to sit out in the back next to a heater. They gave us a drinks menu and there's a QR code where you can view the main menu. $1 Oysters and also Jalapeño poppers. We indulged in dozens of oysters and a 2 plates of Jalapeño poppers, which were surprisingly great for the value. The cheese melted well in your mouth. The oysters were perfectly cold, juicy, and delicious. Both the oyster and popper plates came with their own sauces, of which I used quite a lot. We also got a few drinks (the Paper Plan was great!) and also fish n chips, and the steak n frits. I didn't eat much of the fish/chips or frits, but the steak (medium) was juicy and delicious. I think I would have been happy with just only eating oysters the whole time (that's how much I love them), so definitely be coming back, especially for happy hour!

Love this place! We've been for lunch and dinner. Even when it's packed, because of a Giants game, we get the same service. Everyone is so nice and so accommodating. It's definitely our go to place now. The pizza to share, is definitely a favorite. We love all the appetizers, and we seem to gravitate towards them, rather than ordering a single meal per person. When I want something healthy, I always get the romaine salad. The capers they add to it, is a nice addition.

I live walking distance from ATwater Tavern, and went over yesterday to try their happy hour (3-6pm daily). We got dollar oysters and jalapeño poppers. I don't usually eat oysters but the group I went with enjoyed them. The jalapeño poppers were so tasty, has a nice crunchy coating and creamy cheesy interior with a ranch dipping sauce. Overall I think ATwater tavern is a great spot for drinks and a quick happy hour bite. I would definitely go here again!

Stopped here while walking along the waterfront. This is a completely casual place for a Saturday afternoon, felt comfortable wearing our workout clothes. They have a great outdoor seating area, very nice hostess and server and the food was acceptable. We ordered the chicken sandwich. It was good but could have used a bit more moisture, either more sauce or tomatoes. This is definitely a great place to sit back next to the water and enjoy some sunshine.

Good food, great location, friendly service. We enjoyed our meal at ATwater Tavern ... it's a modern update on the funky waterfront tavern, but with an updated menu. Favorites with our party were the lobster ravioli and seafood stew (basically cioppino). Lots of outdoor seating right on the water, but you might want to sit inside in the evening unless you are a hardy soul.

My fiancé and I have come here a few times and are always quickly greeted with a warm smile by the British bartender, Diane. She's very helpful in suggesting different beers since I like to try different IPAs. The oysters and jalapeño poppers at happy hour are a must! So fresh and the jalapeño poppers are the perfect amount of spicy and creamy and crunchy! All around a great experience every time!

Our company comes here often for happy hour. It's been a minute since I've been to ATWater. We ordered a couple of rounds of mixed drinks, dollar oysters, fish and chips, crab cake, a burger, calamari, coconut shrimp and a couple other appetizers. I thought the food was decent for happy hour bar food. The food came out quickly and prompt. I wish the oysters were more sweet given their small size but some were a bit bitter. I thought the fish and chips and crab cake was decent. The fries were fresh and crispy. A Monday evening, so not a huge crowd but still half the bar was taken up along with some company parties. The place was nicely decorated with Christmas ornaments and just overall aesthetically nice to look at. Will be back for more company events and team events.

Just happened upon this place while out for our 20,000 step walk. Decided to stop in and check out the Happy Hour Menu and as soon as the Hostess told us $1 OYSTERS...we were hooked!! They have an Amazing Waitress named JASMINE, I give her kudos because I'm "Highly Allergic to Onions, so when the other waiter brought the salad out, he said they only hv Olive Oil because of my allergy to onions. When Jasmine came to check on us, I asked if they at least had Vinegar to mix with the oil. If not, it was ok. YES,YES, YES! she came back with some wine vinegar! Now that's GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE!! We sat outside in back and enjoyed looking out at the water. It is a PET FRIENDLY place & nothing against pets. However, thank goodness we finished, because by my last bite, there were 2 small frisky dogs beside us and a beautiful BIG one on the other side... That was our time to EXIT !! BE SURE TO ASK FOR JASMINE'S TABLES!!!!

After exploring the areas around Spark Social and Parklab Gardens, my friend and I ventured out further, noting to walk, eat, drink, and converse our way back towards the Ferry Building. Along the way, we took photos at various places. And then we passed by ATwater Tavern where she expressed a desire to try this place. So in we went and sat at patio by the water. She ordered an Ahi Tuna Salad, a draft beer, and I got an Affogato. While the ambience of this place by the water is lovely, and the service friendly, we found the food slightly lacking, especially for the price. After catching up a bit while she nursed her beer, we left with a mostly uneaten salad and a very melted Affogato.

The atmosphere was beautiful here. Food was good and the service was good. This was a place picked out as my partner and I were going to a Giants game. Nice walk from this place to the game.

Great choice for pregaming Giants or Warriors games. Happy hour has solid specials. Paella is solid, as is seafood stew (ciopino). Bartenders are very friendly.
