We had a truly scrumptious meal, having sat outside with an apperitif each. The weather was superb and the dining room was beautifully cool. Whilst the food was wonderful, the ambience was somewhat lacking, in that we were one of only two couples, on a Friday night! This had been recommended by friends and was truly well worthwhile our visit as the food was wonderful and just a few tweaks to the dining room and possibly some background music, would make all the difference. Apparently, the rooms are really reasonable and comfortable but we didn't stay the night. It's a pity it's not more frequented and possibly we went on an untypical night but this place needs to advertise it's somewhat hidden charm more. Many restaurants in France advertise their wares, well before you arrive at the town where the restaurant is situated and this hotel needs some serious marketing. Meanwhile, get there before it gets too well known. We were served with some very thin, crisp and delicious homemade crisps, set in sesame. Superb. This with our pre dinner drinks. Then I had beef olives, stuffed with a super stuffing with mushrooms and olives. It was a superb fusion. My husband had fish with a subtle sauce. The puddings were lovely, too and I usually refrain from three courses but they weren't too generous so three courses was just about right. This restaurant really deserves to be put well and truly on the culinary map.
