Au Petit Vatel

We were welcomed without a reservation. The Menu simplicité et Inspiration exceeded our expectations and was excellent value.

Very traditional French hotel - the dated nature part of its charm. Fabulous dinner, with two set menu choices plus a la carte. Only criticism were towels as dated as the premises (!) and very noisy plumbing, again a consequence of its charm. Very welcoming, great service and usual high standard Continental breakfast. Great bike storage and parking opposite. Thank you!

We stayed in Allençon overnight on our way to the ferry for the UK and chose this restaurant as it was close to our hotel. What an amazingly good choice! The restaurant has a relaxed ambiance, is beautifully presented with comfortable decor and is absolutely immaculately clean. The staff friendly and efficient. The meal was wonderful. It was fine dining without the price tag. If you have dessert you must have the icecream it will amaze. Home made it comes out on a trolley with at least 12 different flavours to choose. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

Toujours une institution sur Alençon. Dans un cadre agréable et cosy, on s'y sent tout de suite bien. Les plats sont excellents et la préparation est raffinée. Les saveurs sont subtiles. On ressent la recherche des produits de qualité. Un repas très agréable nous a ravis.

Très bon restaurant. Service impeccable sans chichi. Service rythmé. Cuisine bonne et assez originale. Toutefois l'assaisonnement était perfectible. Et les desserts étaient très bons même si se sont des gâteaux de pâtissiers boutiques. J' aimerais un service avec des sauces, coulis et glaces. Mais vous pouvez y aller sans soucis.
