It’s an absolutely beautiful place. But busy though, keep it in mind, might need to wait for the table or just come for a very early dinner. Fantastic atmosphere, super delicious food that you just forget about everything. Not everywhere you get a heart shaped tartar cooked by the charming owner. ☺️ Absolutely must to try when you are in this area.

A very colorful place, homey, visitors are mostly locals. Here we tried frog legs for the first time.

The best restaurant you can find in Alsace. The owners (Jacqueline and Marc) very friendly and attent, the service really familiar, experienced and professional, the kitchen chef and team super excellent, and the variety and daily suggestions are very good. The quality and the atmosphere is awesome and all of them speak french, german, Alsacien (Elsassisch) and understand english too. I recommend this restaurant if you love beef, fish, desserts, everything is home made and they change the decoration of the restaurant with every season or festivity. Free parking in front of it and good french wines, cremants, licquors, vermouths, champagnes and sparkling wines. You will find the restaurant on the main street of Roppenheim village.

Beautiful half-timbered winstub with super friendly service, lovely (typically heavy, meaty) food in very nice traditional (wood, chequered tablecloths, etc) atmosphere. Sadly no tartare nor choucroute when we were there.

Very Nice food in a great Atmosphere. Staff is friendly and accommodating. Be prepared to wait for a table during busy times, however you will be served drinks.
