Don't let the distance from town centre deter you – this restaurant is a hidden gem and absolutely worth the taxi ride! We had an incredible lunch experience here, with a wonderful atmosphere, impeccable service, friendly chef and truly outstanding food. Given we were only in Bruges for a day, making the decision to eat here was one of the best choices we made. Highly, highly recommend!

Best fine dining experience in Belgium so far. Loved it. Was slightly disappointed in the catch of the day - felt it could’ve had a bit more flavour otherwise everything including the service were exceptional

I loved this restaurant which we went to with another couple for my girlfriend's birrhday. It's a great place outside of the city where we had pre dinner drinks outside in the beautiful green setting before going inside for our food. The chef / owner came and took our order and explained all the dishes, which was a special touch. We went for the three course option with wine pairing and paid the supplement to have cheese for dessert and we enjoyed every course and the wine.... The portions were plentyfull and so tasty and well presented. The decor inside was also really nice... A mix between modern and old barn, and as a bonus we were lucky with the night we chose to visit since it was such a beautiful evening that most people sat outside and so we had a whole room to ourself. And the service from the staff in this room, was excellent. All in all I highly recommended this restaurant for a special occasion or even just a lovely relaxed dinner

An incredible evening. Stunning surrounds, exquisite service and hospitality. Menu was creative, tasty and skilfully matched with lovely wines. We’re lucky enough to eat at many fabulous restaurants around the world and this one goes high up on our list of favourites. Absolutely not a place to miss.

My husband and I had a beautiful dinner at this restaurant. I picked it when still in New Zealand three months before arriving in Belgium. It is a wonderful dining experience and the presentation of the food was perfect. The food tastes even better than it looks and you can tell that everyone who works here is very passionate about their work. Every detail was exact from the way the reception area looked to the dining tables. Beautiful touches everywhere. One small detail however made me a little disappointed as we noticed that the chef/owner greeted each table and spoke to them about part of the menu and/or a wine they had chosen. I knew this person was the owner as his name was printed on his uniform and I recognised his face from the website. However he did not approach our table at all during the entire evening even just to say hello. It didn’t spoil our evening however but it would have been nice to have been greeted as every other table was.

Outstanding evening! The food was divine for both my partner and I. He eats everything, I am a vegetarian and usually get snobbed in haute gastronomie restaurants. But the team of De Herborist welcomed me with some of the best creations I've tasted in my life, and was extremely flexible and able to serve us different menus. The service was impeccable as well. We were also quite surprised with how cheap it was for such high quality.

Wonderful cuisine and service. Creative meal. Very nice place

I really have to say it's the best one star Michelin restaurant I had ever tried. U can enjoy the food with a very pleased environment and all the decorations are unique and full of regards. You can feel how dedicated the hosts are when u go to the restroom and saw the faucet. The foods are also good enough for the price and we choose the extra liver for 9euro which can improve the taste of the main dish. 6 courses without wines ended up with 117euro p.p.

As good as described and Deserving of their star. Service top notch and Chef personally catered to our vegetarian needs wonderfully at an exceptional level. Exceeded our expectations especially being vegetarian in a difficult city to eat superb vegetarian cuisine.
