"The young owner, Victor Martin, and his chef Julien Drapier are now a well-established duo. The dishes tend towards an undeniable finesse, such as the roasted langoustine, fennel confit and shell jus. Add to that smiling service, good value for money, and a pleasant terrace by the water." - Michelin Inspector

Service was great. $500 for some tomatoes though? Still considering reversing payment with my credit card. Absolute disaster. Don’t come here. Again… service was fantastic. Sadly, food wasn’t

Wonderful restaurant, in a very inviting setting. The balcony looks on to the river with nice surroundings and the sounds of water flowing. The food was all thoughtfully prepared and presented, with flavors that were perfectly complimentary to one another. The service is not to be forgotten either, all was top notch.

We had lunch at this super nice place with the Family (young kids) just next to the famous Champagne village Montgeux. The service was very friendly & professional (especially also kids were welcome) and the food was excellent at a very high standard!

We booked their special deal which included a night's stay in one of their three roulottes and a four course dinner and breakfast. The roulottes and restaurant are beside a gently-flowing river - so beautiful. There are tables and chairs on a wooden pontoon outside the roulottes and right on the river. A perfect spot. The evening dinner was exceptional, served with a selection of champagne and wines. The service was impeccable and everyone was extremely helpful. Just remember that you cannot check-in until 6.30 p.m. It would be good if the Auberge could make some arrangement for a slightly earlier check-in.

We had a wonderful meal here in July. The children's menu was superb and particularly great value. The choices for adults were similarly impressive and delivered to a very high standard. My two girls (aged 7 & 10) felt very special having "adult" meals and loved the long summer evening on the terrace. The location is a little out of town, but very much worth the trip.

Really exceptional meal with brilliant service. The quasi de veau was some of the best-cooked meat I've had in a long time, plus I loved how vegetables played a strong role in the scallop and veal dishes. Very good value- thank you!

We opted for the €60 evening set menu (5 courses) rather than €50 for 4 courses. There were no hidden extra charges as other reviews have mentioned - on the contrary, there were quite a few extra 'tasters' included between the courses that we hadn't expected. Pleasant service, lovely surroundings. There were a few pairings of strong and mild foods which I found rather odd - especially burrata with a rich tomato reduction and balsamic dressing. Almost odd enough to knock the rating down to 4 stars, but not quite. Everything was as delicious as you'd expect at this price level, and portion sizes were generous. The last two courses were a bit of a struggle: if we go again, we'll eat less bread!

What an experience! The food is sublime, the service impeccable (thank you Martin, Dolat, Rivière and Dupuis) and the tranquil setting is perfect. I have no hesitation in recommending this restaurant for any special occasion - we had a truly memorable lunch.
