"Typical of the region, this charming house is the setting for a chef – with roots in the district who has returned home – to create delicate fare. It is from locally sourced ingredients, authentic and bursting with flavour. A feast for the eyes and the taste buds! The accommodation is simple yet agreeable." - Michelin Inspector

The cold soup with melon was an excellent start. Next I had the cod, followed by the souffle, both excellent. My son gave the mint sorbet with berry pastry two big thumbs up!

Michelin level food and wine in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. The chef and the sommelier are both true masters of their craft. Beautiful setting and views over the surrounding countryside. The food is very reasonably priced for its quality, and after some research we found that the markup on our bottle of wine was precisely 2 euros. Highly recommended.

Worth a detour. This restaurant surprises every time. Great food, creatively presented at a decent price.

This restaurant was recommended to us as a nice stop-off on the route des vins de Roussillon. We were not disappointed. The lunchtime set menu was a mere 21€per head... for a Michelin star restaurant. We started with pumpkin soup, steamed fish and then cheesecake. It may sound simple but every mouthful was delicious. Excellent service in a beautiful setting on the outside terrace. We sampled the local wine and Muscat and the coffee came with marshmallows and little pots of chocolate mousse. A real find.

Hotel is situated in a pretty little village about 15 mins north of the A9 motorway & 30 mins from Perpignan & in the middle of some excellent Rousillon country.||Only 4 rooms & fairly basic but clean & comfortable. The owner/chef & staff are all very pleasant & the food in the restaurant was excellent & good value for a Michelin rosette. ||We would go out of our way to stay again.

Stayed here before the start of our holiday near the beaches of south France. Hotel/Auberge is an old house with a gastronomic restaurant in a small village with few houses between many vineyards. Rooms are spacious but with rather old furniture and bathroom. Had a very nice diner in the evening on the terrace of the restaurant (booked HB). Would go back for a few days...

After being used to hotels in little villages that are pretty basic the Auberge du Cellier is a real surprise. It is in an old building but quite well appointed and coupled with the friendliness of the owner and staff it is highly recommended. It is also much better than many of the hotels in larger towns.

Lovely staff and great chef. Clearly experienced but still innovative and experimenting with his food. Very cosy rooms and atmospheric restaurant.

Yelp
I felt we had left on bad terms after our first visit 12 months ago. After thoroughly enjoying our lunch (including a ludicrously generous cheese course) we had had to rush away to keep at an appointment at one of the many nearby vigneron rather than linger over a digestif. We were therefore delighted to be able to return a month ago, this time to stay as well as dine. Being a Sunday (and just out of season) we were the hotel's sole residents. At dinner we also dined alone. This could have felt awkward. However, our charming host provided just the right level of service making the evening feel special rather than odd. The food remained excellent - simple but beautifully prepared and the wine list read like a greatest hits of all of the region's top names. Our room was also perfectly pleasant with plenty of space to relax and a good sized balcony for al fresco lounging. Free WiFi was on hand to keep you connected with the rest of the world - a big plus. So nice in fact that a return visit is now looking more than likely in another 12 months or so.
