"This eminently hospitable inn upholds culinary traditions rich in textbook technique and indulgent, spot-on flavours. Christophe Le Fur, born at Cap Fréhel, is thriving in his homeland as he crafts bold, crisp dishes oozing in generosity. The chef, who cherry-picks his ingredients, demonstrates the full scope of his talents (particularly in the field of sauces, one of the house’s signatures!). Brittany lobster and sweetbread sautéed in butter with creamy morels in Noilly; poultry pie in a tarragon jus; without forgetting the flamboyant crêpe flambée to finish your meal on a high." - Michelin Inspector

Our first time here and it did not disappoint, from the moment we entered we were made to feel at ease and given a warm welcome. A comprehensive wine list and a delicious selection of cocktails ensured our evening got off to a great start. Every course was perfectly balanced, some with a delicate, light flavour and others with a punchy, depth to them.|The whole menu was extremely well put together and so satisfying to eat. Portions just right as the quality of the seasonal ingredients shone through. Rich, smooth velvety sauces made our pallet sing. We had a wonderful evening and our thanks go to Chef Chris and the team there.

This is a review for the restaurant. Best meal I've probably had on this entire trip. The Chicken Pie, in particular, blew my mind. Thanks!

Stayed here for a night last week and I must say at the outset that if the price had been less then maybe I would have rated it higher but at the price value for money lets it down.||The room was a good size and quirkily decorated but the carpet was stained and worn, a leg fell off the bedside table, the chairs were a throw back to the foam chairs that roll out to a single bed but they were worn and not even matching.||The staff were pleasant enough and helpful.||Then we come to the food. The chef was supposed to have Michelin star presumably for changing tyres. You know you are in trouble when you are served things you didn't order on plates that have strange shapes. Basically the food was presented as a series of amuse bouche grouped together into a course. What you ended up with was more tastes than your mouth could cope with whether you liked it or not probably there wasn't a second try. With a mess of tastes and a small quantity at a price way above its worth you a left wondering why did we book in. ||All in all pretentious food and rooms that need updating.

Absolutely delicious food from start to finish; however, service was extremely slow. It took over 3.5 hours for us to eat lunch and we left before coffee!

By far our favourite restaurant in Brittany - reserved for birthdays and special occasions at night as it isn't cheap- but as yet unbeaten for quality and Wow factor. The lunch time menu at 26 euros though is fantastic value for the quality of food presented and a taster of what you might expect from an evening visit .||||Put simply, the chef is incredibly talented ...choose any of his amazing desserts ( including melting chocolate spheres and you'll see what I mean. He's won prizes for them ) Added to that , the welcome is friendly, not stuffy - however bad your french- and children willing to have a go at "grown up" food are made a fuss of too. ||||We have stopped here in the past - the grand confort rooms are just that ..individually furnished and luxurious enough for a romantic break - and there's now a new modern lounge to relax in as well .||Haven't yet tried their cookery school (opened next door recently) but perhaps it might be worth getting in there quickly as Christophe le Fur I suspect is becoming a bit of a celebrity amongst those who know these things....

The food was as good as it gets and presentation was first class however the time between courses was a bit too long as lunch took almost 4 hours. It became a bit boring.

Always a pleasure to come and witness Le Fur's talent. Far from any large city, nested in"Mur de Bretagne"
