"The couple at the head of this pleasant inn in a small village near Valençay can be relied upon to whip up amazing food; everything is homemade and the chef favours regional ingredients to concoct his delicate, toothsome recipes. Served in a charming rustic interior or alfresco on the flower-decked terrace in fine weather. The establishment’s success and excellent value for money mean that bookings are essential." - Michelin Inspector
Fantastic gastronomy and lovely local Valencay wine. I could not fault the food or service. Will return for sure.

Auberge Saint Fiacre is my favourite restaurant in France. I cannot speak highly enough. Located in a picturesque village of Vieu near Valencay the restored old water mill makes a perfect venue for a restaurant of true class. Michelin star cuisine beautifully prepared and presented at gentle pace so you enjoy each plate for the delicate and wonderful flavours of fresh ingredients herbs and seasonings An amazing wine cellar where I found my favourite a 2009 Cote de Beaune but they also have Crozes Hermitage Saint Emilion Haut Medoc so difficult choice.
We arrived at midday and left at 3pm 3 very enjoyable hours
If you love the best French food good wine you will love the Saint Fiacre you won't find s better restaurant I promise.

Definitely worth the visit. Fanciest children's menu there is.

The food and wine is excellent, served with panache in a traditional Auberge setting, brought up to date with contemporary furnishings and finishing touches.
