Yelp
I came into this place hopeful due to our local favorite spot being closed for the 4th of July week. The restaurant was very busy when we arrived, and the space is not large. They offer beer and soda, but it all comes in a bottle or can which is a disappointment. It took some time to get service, and our waitress was mediocre at best. Parents, this place does not offer a kids menu:/ I am not a fast drinker, and I managed to run empty while waiting on the food. The straws for the water were also not in paper, which was sort of a turn off considering the waitress put them in our glasses. The restaurant informed us that they were out of dumplings. We ordered entrees and spring rolls for an appetizer The appetizers arrived with no small plates for sharing. The waitress did not come to check on us after the delivery, so we did not get any small plates. The taste of the spring rolls was great. They were filled with cabbage & carrots, no meat. After apps arrived, we were informed that the restaurant ran out of white rice. We were told by someone in the kitchen that they needed to cook more or would "substitute brown rice for no additional charge"...I sure hope not especially considering A. You are a Thai restaurant, how do you run out of white rice, B. By this time we have waited 45 minutes for our entrees and the waitress still has not checked in for refills. The food arrived (we ordered chicken fried rice and drunken noodles with beef and added extra veggies). We ordered the food spicy, and I expecting a little bit of heat. Spice level was not at the level that I anticipated. Portion size is not where you would be able to take any leftovers to go. The flavor of the beef in the noodles was excellent, so I would say the noodle dish we ordered was far superior to the rice. Overall, the taste of the food was very good, and I would give them a second shot. Service kind of ruined the experience for me.
