"As the name might imply, the team at Audacious Aleworks has brewed more than 100 different beers since opening in Falls Church in 2018. Colorfully drawn name boards hang above the bar and signal the rotating drafts (beers here are produced in small batches and come and go quickly). The taproom hosts weekly events like half-priced food on Mondays, with pub classics like brats, grilled cheeses, and pretzels. Audacious expanded in 2022, with a location in Fairfax City." - Travis Mitchell, Tierney Plumb

"Falls Church got two brand new options for beer tasting last year alone. Audacious Aleworks’ new 2,500-square-foot production facility (110 E. Fairfax Street) debuted last spring." - Tierney Plumb

"A fledgling micro-brewery in Falls Church, Virginia has already doubled the number of beers it makes available to the public. The current offerings include a trio of IPAs, a cream ale, a nut brown ale, a stout, a porter, and a blonde ale. Unlike Mad Fox, which has a dedicated kitchen, Audacious Aleworks allows customers to order in or bring their own food. Local food trucks also swing by. Audacious Aleworks is scheduled to operate from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Wednesday and Thursday, from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Friday, and from noon to 6 p.m. on weekends." - Warren Rojas

One of my favorite breweries in Nova! Pretty hidden spot, but the beer never disappoints and the free popcorn is always great. Solid sour options!

Went here for the first time this weekend. Absolutely love the space and how’s it decorated. It wasn’t too busy until a reserved party came in but the music and vibes were good. I loved all the creative names for the beer. I had the Pilsner and There’s something about mango IPA (my fav). The bartenders were friendly and attentive. Can’t wait to come back!

We love going here for the great food, fantastic craft beers, the beautiful artwork on their beer wall, and definitely for the cool staff that work there! You can bring your dog and they will set out a bowl of water too! I would definitely recommend that you come here and experience it for yourself!!

6/24/23: Another great visit. They were offering a special chicken wrap this weekend and it was delicious. Blood Orange Gose, Campfire Stout, and two other stouts we had were perfect too. Thanks! Audacious is my favorite place to grab a local brew and hang out with friends. The vibe in this place is so chill and the artwork on the walls personifies the fun, creative theme of their beer. They offer a rotating variety of small batch brews and debut new options throughout the year. Whether you like sours, IPAs or stouts, you will find something to fit your pallet here. They are also very supportive of the local community and offer their location for fundraisers and parties for special occasions free of charge. The bar food is good as well. We had popcorn, a giant pretzel and a couple different grilled cheese sandwiches. They are known for their grilled cheese and I would say they do seem to have a good thing going. They are also dog and kid friendly. I plan to come back again soon. Thanks for a great experience!

This brewery has some very tasty beers. A great collection with lots of variety if you are coming here with a group of people, so everyone will be happy! The staff is super nice. The grilled cheese sandwiches are incredible!!! There are a few creations they offer or you can build your own. The vibe is also really chill. Not crazy loud like some other places. Plenty of outside covered seating. Check this place out!

Great selection of beer and great atmosphere too. They had a wide variety of types of beers and you could also get a flight of four to try them out. The grill cheese was excellent and they also gave free popcorn when you ordered a beer. Indoor and outdoor seating available

I’ve been going to Audacious since like 2019. I’ve had many good experience in the past and one very disappointing one recently. Pros: -Good selection of craft beers, especially if you like interesting sours or IPAs. Good dessert-y stouts sometimes too -(Generally) nice, fun vibe with friendly, personable bartenders and staff -Good deals on growlers or cans of their own beers. I used to get growlers regularly during the pandemic when they were otherwise closed. -I’ve only been to one of their planned trivia nights but it was a lot of fun! Great prizes -I live in the area nearby and if I ever have guests from out of town that like craft beer, this is usually the first spot I take them too. Cons: -Do not plan a large party or gathering here. I reached out to the manager of the brewery 2 months in advance to ask about hosting a company event for 20 people. They seemed very accommodating over email and assured there would be plenty of seating inside the air conditioned taproom. The only stipulation from them is that I couldn’t set up too early because they opened at noon. I arrived at 11:40 am and the entire tap room was full of people watching the Olympics. The manager had given my work group of 20 people 3 small tables outside in the parking lot/heat and about 9-10 chairs. The manager said he actually opened the doors early for the Olympics watchers, but not for my scheduled group. As I brought over catered food for my work party, customers and their kids from inside the taproom started coming out and trying to pick at our company’s food and sit at the few tables we WERE offered. I understand that at the end of the day, the brewery is a business and wants as many customers as possible. I am usually not one to leave reviews at all (negative or positive), but I feel that this incident warranted it. If you do plan an event at Audacious, check with them first and make sure it’s not on the day of a major sporting event, I guess.

REALLY good beer - they could have a few more choices but the brews they do have are very good. BIGGEST COMPLAINT — it is the brightest bar I’ve ever been in. I mean it’s just extremely bright. I feel like I’m in my high school classroom with ceiling lights this. Really ruins my buzz. The best bars are medium to low lighting. Audacious: PLEASE FIX YOUR LIGHTING! Everything else is very nice
