"A fledgling micro-brewery in Falls Church, Virginia, has already doubled the number of beers it makes available to the public — and that’s before its grand opening. Located at 110 E. Fairfax Street, Audacious Aleworks, co-founded by Michael Frizzell and Brian Reinoehl, signed the lease last summer for an approximately 2,500-square-foot production facility and is still working out the kinks at its suburban taproom while steadily adding more days and cold brews to its draft lines. The operation launched with under a half-dozen featured beers and this past weekend had grown to 10; current offerings include a trio of IPAs, a cream ale, a nut brown ale, a stout, a porter, and a blonde ale. Unlike long-standing Falls Church brewery Mad Fox, which has a dedicated kitchen, Audacious currently allows customers to order in or bring their own food, and early adopters report local food trucks swing by. It is certified open and operating Wednesday–Thursday 4–9 p.m., Friday 4–10 p.m., and weekends noon–6 p.m. I reached out to Frizzell and Reinoehl for an update about the official opening but have not heard back." - Warren Rojas
