"This East Village bar does Italian-inspired cocktails and a menu of bar snacks like oysters and sliders. There’s also an oversized patio for enjoying a gin and tonic when things get balmy. We haven’t been here yet, but want you to know this spot exists." - Team Infatuation

"When Sidewalk Cafe, a restaurant that also served as a space for open mic in the neighborhood for nearly 35 years closed in 2019, many were curious about what would replace it. Restaurant and bar August Laura, which took over the space that year, has already called it quits." - Emma Orlow

Very cute place with a bustling vibe and good brunch deal, I think it was a dish and drink for $25. Ample outdoor seating (though some very loud people, that’s to be expected at brunch) and the burger was so tasty and juicy with a thick slab of cheese and fancy touches with the side aioli/seasoning on the fries. Would be nice to go back in the evening.

So excited for their reopening and had THE BEST EXPERIENCE! The cocktails were amazing as always (I recommend the espresso martini.. best I’ve ever had yet in NYC, hands down!) The new food menu is not just a standard “bar bites” menu.. it was delicious!! The icing on the cake was the superb customer experience and cool vibes of the decor and outdoor dining area.

The staff were all so pleasant and attentive! Great atmosphere! And the Food!!!! I woke up this morning thinking about the dinner still! 🤣 I highly recommend the fried artichokes, crab cakes, hanger steak and the key lime pie. The food were Quality!!! and nothing short of amazing! The chef definitely prepared it with love! Definitely my new go to spot whenever I’m in NY.

New favorite place. Food is incredible—the cheeseburger is easily one of the best I’ve ever had. Steak tartare and cinnamon bun (with bacon on it!?) were also mind blowing. Cocktails were affordable, amazing and strong. Live music on a Sunday night was a nice surprise too.

I visited here for Sunday brunch - it's a small but very cute place. It filled up quickly around 11.30AM. They have a Cointreau / orange-creme version of french toast, but I ordered it plain and it turned out great. The service was a little slow but I wasn't in a rush. Servers may want to keep an eye on people coming through the front door - one girl left after not being acknowledged by anyone after a few minutes of waiting. Tables are very close together and it can be a tight fit during peak hours. Otherwise, it was a nice neighborhood restaurant.

This place was pricey, especially for the neighborhood. $16 cocktails and $8 beers. That being said, the service was excellent! We spent several hours hanging out at the bar, enjoying a few rounds of drinks and some nachos. Not a good budget pick, but if you're looking for an upscale night out in the area, the friendly staff made it overall a very positive experience.

A lovely place for weekend brunch in the sun filled dining room, or a late night drink and snack in the gorgeous adjacent bar. The burger is delicious, as is the massive nacho plate. The cocktails are inventive and quite fairly priced with generous pours. A great spot for a date, girls night, or just relaxing dinner and drinks. A true neighborhood spot.
