Augustine Cocktail Bar

This was our favorite bar/evening of our whole trip. Great DJ, great outdoor seating and atmosphere. Lots of good photo opportunities. Cocktails were good and water even gave us free water bottles.

My wife’s espresso martini tasted of synthetic vanilla!! She asked the barmaid to remake it, which she did. However, her attitude towards my wife was terrible.. eye rolls and more! The second one was better.

Karaoke guy was a jerk. Ruined my anniversary. Let all the girls that threw themselves at him sing. I have a degree in vocal performance but whatever. Never returning and will bash this place to everyone I know.

Best time I’ve had on Rainey in years! So glad this bar hosted a local dog rescue adoption event because it solidified my absolute adoration for this establishment and its staff/management. 10/10 espresso martinis.

Walking around on a Sunday around 3pm, decided time stop in - wrong move. Worst bar on all of Rainey Street that we tried (8 total). Over the last couple days we had frequent a couple bars a day - Rainey Street is awesome - highly recommend it. As we walked in, it was completely empty which seemed like a red flag, regardless decided to pursue the adventure of exploring new places. Sat at the bar, talked to the bar tender about drinks etc, everything was blown off as semi blase in terms on question about drinks etc - which generally would completely understand if they had had absolutely anyone in the bar. Was reassured that the drinks I was ordering would not be adjusted to remove sugar fillers to reduce sweetness and would be adjusted etc, tipped out $4/cocktail .. and - the sweetest drinks we'd had all week (maybe all year?), unreal. Maybe it's the bartender (?), who knows, seems like a larger problem at the bar as all adjacent bars had people (not packed but filled) . In all honesty this bar might be great for some times late at night, just for the vibe but don't come for the drinks and especially not the cocktails. Will not return here ever. If you want cocktails go to Half Step, on point and great drinks/vibes/staff.

Best bartender. He makes an awesome espresso martini. Friendly atmosphere and great DJ with dance floor and backyard seating.

We went here on a Tuesday around 5:30 and it was pretty dead, but we were kind of expecting it. I'm sure things really pick up in the evenings and on the weekends. It seems like a really nice bar with a cool setup indoors and outdoors. They have good drink specials, although one was not available. The drinks are tasty and the bartender was nice. I'd recommend this place again.

Nelson is such a nice bar tender! Great place for a cocktail! Recommend coming here!
