"Sprawled across the corner of 16th and Selby in St. Paul, Augustine’s is known for the pecan caramel rolls they serve by the trayful on weekends. However, their croissants make for an excellent weekday breakfast, with the same flaky, buttery dough used across all four variations they offer: plain, chocolate, ham and cheese, and a particularly lovely almond rendition." - Julie Zhou

Augustine's is delicious. I stopped in for lunch and tried: The Artichoke & Preserved Lemon Flatbread, The Amy Jo and The Lamb Burger. I knew being related to the Gnome that they'd be great but I was very impressed. I recommend stopping in if you're in the area.

I was pleased to see a casually sophisticated restaurant replace the laundromat that stood in it's place before. From the charmingly tiny (still legible) menus that change with the seasons, to the extensive and unique beer selection, Augustine's has earned my business and respect. Below, I have attached a picture of their take on a rather popular option in the Twin Cities, Poutine. It might be one of the best interpretations I've enjoyed of the dish. My only complaint is that it was so fresh and hot out of the kitchen, I could not safely eat it any faster. The pulled chicken sandwich was savory, and the dill aioli on the side truly blended the flavors together nicely. The tomato soup was not at all lacking, despite the singular crouton. Mexican hot chocolate was the perfect dessert for the occasion. Rich, mysteriously spicy, and surely tasty.

I've been here a couple of times and have always enjoyed the food. I love the atmosphere and the service is excellent. It's such a great neighborhood spot, and it's great to stop in early for a casual coffee & pastry, or come for a larger sit-down meal, or hang out at the bar for a drink.

Phenomenal food, excellent casual albeit attentive service and great drinks in an athletically pleasing space! I'd definitely come back regularly were I a local.

The best meal we have had in so long - Aubrey, our server, gave amazing recommendations. The special was a burrata salad that was to die for. Food was so fresh, delicious and perfectly made. Could not recommend it more. Go!

My new favorite dish is undoubtedly the beet root gnocchi — It was so good I forgot to take a picture of it! Augustine’s is my go to restaurant when I want something innovative and veggie-based. I know I will always find something new and delicious that I can’t find anywhere else. It’s a great place, as well, if you like to pair your meals with wine and beer. The bottle (wine) prices are a great value as are the Thursday night prix fixe menu. We had a lovely bottle of Sauvignon blanc with the carrot ginger risotto, mussels (curry ❤️, and gnocchi. The service staff, coffee, and pastries are excellent, too. The only downside is the restaurant is loud.

This place is absolutely amazing!!! The vibe, the food, all of it was so good! I came here for a breakfast date and it was so perfect! I looked here on google maps for pictures to help make my decision and I had the ham and cheese omelette and it was fantastic. Not too much food at all, and the breakfast potatoes were just incredible. Even the ketchup tasted better than average. They even stopped giving away plastic straws which makes me very happy. And the coffee was great too! I'll definitely be back here many more times for sure!!!
