"Aunt Jake’s has retooled the idea of an Italian restaurant with a modern design and a menu centered on fresh pastas that allow the customer to mix and match a dozen noodle shapes and the same number of sauces. It’s impossible to go wrong with, say, tagliatelle and an eggy carbonara, or herbed four-cheese ravioli mantled with pesto. There are gluten-free options, too, and the app list is longer and more varied than most, meaning you could make a satisfying meal of mushroom-laced rice balls or avocado and poached-egg toast." - Robert Sietsema, Eater Staff

Really good, homemade food right in the heart of Little Italy. The meatballs were good. Very big, good for sharing. I really enjoyed the twist on traditional chicken parm with a spicy marinara sauce! It made it unique and slightly different! The portion size was huge too, also great for sharing! The homemade pasta and sauce were also good. It was a bit over cooked and soft, not al dente. I’d recommend getting a few things and sharing with the table so you can try more. It was a little strange that I was sat in the very front when they clearly had open tables in the main seating area and throughout the entire time I dined too, even though I asked to sit in the main dining room. It was very cold up there and I had to keep my winter coat on the whole time which made it uncomfortable. It would be much more pleasant if they added heaters there. But overall, I did like the place because the food was good.

A clean contemporary decorated restaurant in Little Italy. The lighting was a little too dim for my half-century old eyes. Our server was nice and got our order quickly. Unfortunately, the food wasn't that great. We were hoping for rich and flavourful, but what we got was somewhat bland and underwhelming. If you're looking for true authentic Italian food, you'd be better off going to the Bronx or Brooklyn and trying an Italian restaurant there.

Had reservations in Little Italy, great atmosphere, excellent service (Troy). Build your own pasta menu, complimentary bread sticks. Food was fresh and amazing, some portions would feed 2 people (chicken parmesan). The food was a little slow coming out but was hot and fresh. Desert available but didn't have room for anything else after dinner.

This is one of my favorite spots in Little Italy. The first time I stopped here I tried their pasta and it was amazing and full of flavor. They do make their pasta fresh daily. This time I tried their All Natural Beef Meatballs. They were the best I have ever had. Don’t forget to try their red or white sangria you won’t be disappointed. Service is always the best. I would definitely recommend this place.

Came here for dinner. I wasn’t a huge fan of the food and the menu confused me a bit. Waitress said the menu was self explanatory but the options for standard pasta weren’t there. The ambiance was nice, sangria was good and my husband liked the food more than me so I gave it 4 stars.

Food was great, fair prices (and better than their neighbours), good service. I had the garlic, cream and butter sauce and it was very tasty. 2 of my friends ordered the broken meat balls sauce and while one liked it a lot, the other wasn’t crazy about it. Downside of the place: the music. Omg, so bad! Had to be listening to teenage mellow pop rock breaking up songs the whole meal. Other than that, no complaints!

I came here last year for Valentine’s Day and I came back again this year. I couldn’t find the place because they had moved, I told the host about our reservation and asked if they had moved and he joked that they had been there for 5 years. He was so nice and he thanked me for coming back! The food is amazing, the atmosphere in the new spot is so beautiful and romantic! Its a total date spot! Added some pics of the food from the new spot as well as the old!

We went to Aunt Jake’s this weekend and the service + vibe was incredible! It’s such a cute spot if you are wanting Italian in Little Italy. What makes them different is you choose your pasta type and then which sauce you want on it! Which is really unique and fun. Pasta: 5/5 (Rigatoni) Sauce: 4/5 (Ala Vodka) It was good but I’ve had better. I wish it was a little more creamy! Bread: 5/5 so fresh and warm
