Aura Bar & Lounge

Went on a Tuesday evening with a group. We were the only ones there. Service, food, drinks, music were all fantastic. I had the Lamb burger and it was delicious! Beers in draft were excellent and Eric our waiter offer fantastic recommendations for local/small brewery options. If you want a good burger, tots, and a beer this is the place to go. Others I went with had kabobs, salads, and pastas. All looked amazing. Itay look like a bar, but the food is much better than typical "bar" food.

We LOVE this restaurant. Get the kebabs.... They are.EXCEPTIONAL. I don't usually say that about a restaurant. The chef is from Morocco and the lamb kebobs are the BEST we've ever had (and we lived in that region)! Our server Connor was friendly and the service was great. The restaurant is roomy and it feels cozy at the same time. Alley Cat has a long fancy bar for those who want a drink. We reserved through Google Assistant for a table of 7. Our table was ready when we arrived. It was our first time at this new place. We'll be back Alley Cat!

The food is very good, the staff is very friendly. I really enjoyed eating at the Aura restaurant. I highly recommend the chicken kabab and hamburgers. They are very delicious. There are different dishes. Thanks to the people who cook, you can appreciate different dishes. The drinks are also very good, I recommend it.

It was absolutely a fantastic experience visiting "Aura Bar & lounge" with my friends and brothers last weekend .The food was sumptuous as we ordered Surfandturf cheese stick , Penne Alla Pasta and Shrimp wrap and Grilled Salmon Avocado.They are exceptional. All the bar tenders were phenomenal. Amazing food in reasonable prices.If you are looking for a amazing dinning table experience, I highly recommend this place to give a visit.Will visit again!!👍

Awesome place, great food, good prices, friendly staff. The kitchen is open late. I had the brussel sprout appetizer, and the beef kabob with rice and mashed potatoes as my entree, and they were all amazing. I will be back.

Honestly, just a solid bar and restaurant in a neighborhood that needs more of that. The space is the old Chadwick’s which was also great at that. I know the space has gone through several lives since then, but we went tonight to check it out and, apart from it being a bit chilly, it was exactly what I want for a simple dinner out in the neighborhood -good drinks, good food selection, good food quality (the fries in particular were great), attentive and friendly service. I really hope it survives, and highly recommend checking it out.

Nice bar area inside with several beers on tap, but the beer dispensing was broken causing the beer to be very foamy and the staff were unable to fix the problem and serve draft beer. Their bottled beer list has no good craft beer and no darker beer like porter or stout. Wine was overpriced and not included in happy hour deal. Good location so we would come here again if they fix the problem with the beer machine.

Alley Cat is a nice addition to the Friendship Heights restaurant scene! There is a lot of sit down dining seating separate from the bar area. The menu offers some tasty Moroccan dishes. The beef kofta and fried cauliflower were great! Hoping for a signature cocktail menu in the future as they become more established. Update: Returned to find a new cocktail menu and continued good food!
