Where to Get Takeout and Delivery in Brooklyn Right Now, July 2020 | Eater NY

"The massive outdoor dining space is one of the major draws here, but the East Williamsburg restaurant’s Cuban-Asian fare — including the triple pork cuban fried rice, the chicken milanese bao buns, and the slow braised short rib with yucca puree and braised bell peppers — is also available for takeout and delivery. The restaurant is open Tuesday through Saturday from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. and Sundays from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m." - Eater Staff

I went after work on Thursday the restaurant was empty but that didn’t matter to me. I had the best bartender Ruben he was so friendly & made the best margaritas ever. The music was great. You must try the Octopus omg delicious. This will be my favorite restaurant to have margaritas during the summer.

Was our second time visiting, great ambiance, music, service... drinks are really good... Appetizers were tasty, but the main entrees left us somewhat disappointed... not awful, but different.

Wow wow, I celebrated my husband's birthday last night and it really was one of the best places to have dinner or celebrate, from the delicious cocktails to the delicious food, I have no words. The waiter who served us was truly excellent. There is a plus that really caught my attention: they put my husband's name on the menu. I will try to leave a photo so you can see it. The music and the atmosphere are incredible. No, no, you don't have to go. I discovered this place by pure coincidence! Come on, you have to visit. The prices were 10/10.

Came for drag brunch on Saturday and it was great! They have a brunch special for $50 that includes a starter, a main, and 90min of unlimited mimosas. There was a sign on the bathroom that said they have a similar one for $40 but 60min of mimosas, our server didn’t mention that one so I’m not sure it’s valid. Only deducting a star because they have only 1 vegetarian option (for brunch) and it was a very limited food menu in general. Cocktails were amazing, service was great and the drag show was lovely. Would definitely come here again!

The food was incredible. Tried the shrimp ceviche and the sushi. The skirt steak was very tender and well cooked. The marinade was tasty. The drinks were excellent. I had the purple rain and it was so good. Loved the live Latin band playing all the hits. Servers are nice. Overall would definitely recommend and will be returning.

Came here for a friends birthday dinner, and was pleasantly surprised. We were the last reservations on a Friday night (9:30) because an event later that evening. The food and drinks we had came in enough time and was tasty. We had the hangover roll, fried calamari, the skirt steak, fries, chimichurri rice ( I highly recommend) pork chops, braised oxtail, and vaca frita and mei fun noodles. (It actually wasn’t mei fun, but the broad noodles, which was okay but I wish they told me. The live music was great, and the birthday serenade that my friend got was right up her alley and the flan that she received towards the end dig the night complete with flares. The drinks were great. We had the purple rain, lychee martinis, and the lagunitas.

Yelp
My Friends and I had such a wonderful experience at Aura Cocina! The drinks made by Jose were absolutely amazing! I arrived with a party of 7 and we had sangria, lychee martini, passion fruit mojito and porn star. All tasted delicious and they are not cheap with the liquor. The ambiance is romantic , upscale and very chill. The decor was Beautiful and the live band is such a treat. The food was also very good! For Appetizers: Calamari (they were ok, not crispy) spicy crab guacamole (amazing but spicier than expected for my tastebuds), oxtail dumplings (very good) For Entrees: sushi (delicious) , salmon and white rice (delicious), Ropa vieja with noodles (amazing), Churrasco with veggies (delicious), pork chop with mashed potatoes (lacked flavor). I'll definitely be back! Highly recommend! Great for a date night or ladies night out

Yelp
My wife brought me here to celebrate my birthday. We arrived early and so we waited at the bar. The "Cocktail speciality" are ok. The tequila choices were not the greatest. (True Tequila enthusiasts know what is quality tequila) 1 shot of Clase Azul 50.00$ over priced!! Unfortunately for me I didn't know the price until I had to pay the bill. It's a shame that the only prices advertised are the less expensive drinks. ( lack of transparency) It took one hour and ten minutes to get dinner served and our waitress ( even though she was very polite) was too busy to attend to our immediate needs. My wife was told that she could bring a cake to celebrate my birthday at a charge of 25$ to cut the cake. Only to have the staff bring the cake, sing happy birthday and then take the cake back and put it back in the cake box (uncut!) I gave this place a two to be kind, the live band was the best part of my first and last time at this location. As my brother in law said " this place is very Instagramable but not serviceable!" Too much hype for the cost. There are better places to spend your money at.

Yelp
Tucked away in Williamsburg this place is cute with good food and good drinks. We had the miso salmon with some appetizers. The staff is friendly and thoughtful. Late night turns into a space where you can enjoy good live music and dance. Come with friends on a date not recommended with kids though. Had a good time. Be warned it's pricey.

Yelp
The live music and the open space really make the ambiance stand out. The band that performed was very nice and even entertained some children and allowed them to play some instruments which was very adorable. I liked the many seating options, especially the couches where we sat in the back. However, the food did not match the amazing vibes. We ordered the candied clothesline bacon, togarashi tuna roll, jumbo lump crab guacamole, and a salad. The roll tasted a little off, I think it was the quality of the fish or the rice, I couldn't really tell. I normally love bacon, but it was a little too greasy and I had to wrap it in the lettuce from the salad to finish it. My favorite was the guacamole. I also want to point out that there were flies and gnats that kept flying around our food. I really dislike bugs, so it wasn't a fun experience having to constantly swat them away. I think this was more due to the weather than sanitary reasons. Overall, I'd give it a 3.5. I would come back just for the live band and open space.

Yelp
I came here for a friend's birthday dinner and was honestly very disappointed. The restaurant decor is aesthetically very pretty and the live musical is a great touch. However, when it comes down to the service, food quality and price, I will not be returning. Our server needed to be called over to take our food orders, our drink orders and we had to keep looking for her to order more drinks. She was not attentive of our table at all despite being a table of 9. The fire alarm went off while we waited for our food. It went off for several minutes which was extremely annoying and at no point did anyone from the staff apologize to the tables or offer any type of item to make up for the annoyance. As appetizers we ordered their calamari and guacamole. They both had good flavor but the portion size was extremely small. As my entree I ordered their Del Mar sushi was was shrimp tempura with slices of sweet plantain on top for $16. When I first got my order, I noticed the plantain on top was raw so I had to return it. Once I received it again, I tried the sushi and the plantain was not sweet and it was cold. The sushi rice was a bit hard as if it was also raw and the rolls were smothered in spicy Mayo which was all I tasted every time I took a bite. The drinks weren't bad, I got the lychee martini which was actually quite good but the experience overall was not good. When we got the bill, there was a 20% gratuity already included plus 4% credit card processing fee. It hurt to pay so much tip for service that wasn't good and not worth the 20%. Would only recommend if you want to stop in for an expensive drink and listen to their fabulous live music.

Yelp
What a place... a blend of Cuban Asian restaurant with live music. It's quite confusing to find the spot pero it's so with it!! Happy hour till 8 pm, drinks were 9$ and delish. Jose was our server, he was attentive and very helpful with making decisions regarding meals. We will be coming down again..

Yelp
I swear I think Yelp be asking me to do two reviews... I know I've done this review already but here we go again I had an amazing birthday weekend. This was the second restaurant we went to and everything was really really good. I love the entertainment that people were amazing. I did so much dancing that the next day I had to take some naproxen, but it was worth it.

Yelp
We found this Brooklyn Gem on Instagram and I immediately knew I wanted to celebrate my birthday here. We were greeted by very pleasant and welcoming hostesses, and each waiter that came to our table was attentive and insightful when we asked for recommendations. The Guava Island was the hit drink of the night. The guava and Cognac were a smooth blend. The 2nd favorite was the El Coco, which is a Coquito that they set on fire for you. It was strong but very tasty. The oxtail dumplings could have been seasoned better and the sauce it came with was very salty. The Caja China pork belly with ginger Plum sauce was scrumptious! The perfect crisp on the skin with the tenderness of the meat came together amazingly with the sauce. The live music and band at 7:30 was a hit. Such a perfect mood-setter for the evening. They even gave me a shout-out for my birthday. The waiters brought my cake out with sparklers and a big sign wishing me happy birthday. For a party of 13, I couldn't have asked for a better evening. They went above and beyond for me and my party.

Yelp
The WORST brunch I've ever been to. Entrance is hidden on the side of a building, hard to find. Promoted as a party brunch from 12-6, the DJ & hookah don't start till 2. DJ was obscenely loud, waitress had to ask them to lower the volume so she can take orders. At 4:00 they had a band arriving and a $25 cover. Our reservation was at 2pm, they wanted us to pay to stay inside the venue! I've never heard or experienced this before, the promoter was obnoxious & unprofessional. The drinks were just ok, not worth $18 Bottomless brunch consist of only mimosas served in a plastic cup. Food options were limited, no substitutions, we were unable to order sunny side up eggs because the kitchen was busy - they only had scramble. $35 for hookah, $20 for refill

Yelp
I went here for brunch today. The restaurant is big. The food was delicious. I just wish the portions were a bit bigger or came with sides for the price point. I had the Nutella tres leche French toast it was soooo good. I also order the white sangria. The sangria was very good. I only wish it had a little less ice. My love had the ropa vieja short rib eggs Benedict. It was very good as well. He also had the white sangria. We also ordered a side of potatoes. The service was kind and efficient. The space if great to gather with friends and family. I will be returning for happy hour. These are just suggestions to make for a better customer experience. My only disappointment was that the portions should be a little larger, or offer a free side for the already higher price point. My other disappointment was the 4% card charge. Restaurants should no longer pass on the responsibility to the already paying customer. The additional surcharges are money that could go to the waitstaff, as a tip from the customer. Instead, we end up decreasing our tip in order to meet the high surcharges. Also the Hookah should be restricted to one side of the restaurant as a smoking section for those of us that do not care to partake. Overall, great place, delicious food, nice vibe. Good music. Will be back soon with friends.

Yelp
Great food, weird dreary location . The brunch here is really good and the service and staff are great as well. The food comes out warm and not piping hot and the drinks aren't strong. The biggest concern I have for this place is the location. It's in a desolate part of Bushwick/ Williamsburg. The entrance was very tricky to find and there is a draft in the restaurant since it's a large warehouse space made into a restaurant.

Yelp
This place is a nice vibe. I would recommend coming here for a group celebration, especially a birthday, as the staff is very attentive and they have the space to accommodate without feeling like you're on top of anyone. They tend to have live music on certain nights so make sure you check that before you come. While it brings great ambience, if you're trying to have a conversation with someone at dinner, that might be a little difficult. The food is flavorful and the drink menu is varied which is great. They make an amazing espresso martini with tequila that I highly recommend. The ribeye steak is also great and full of flavor. It's even big enough to share if you're looking to try a variety of food items from the menu, which I do recommend. I only take off one star because upon my recent dining experience here, they brought out our main course about two minutes after our appetizers were brought out, which we weren't ready for... so I would note to make sure you state you would like to pace out your appetizer and main course if you don't want that. Overall, Aura does not disappoint.

Yelp
First I must say I love the authenticity of Aura Cocina, beautiful lay out with an abundance of different seating arrangements. On certain nights there's a live band that does an amazing job of keeping you entertained. My two friends and I planned a birthday dinner for our friend and I'm glad I picked this restaurant. We were seated immediately for a party of 11 reserved, the staff greeted us with a big smile and was very attentive with what she thinks is delicious on the menu, food and drink wise. We all started off with drinks and appetizers, I had the El COCO which was a Coquito with dark and light rum. It was strong and very tasty and I then followed up with a cosmopolitan which knocked my socks off to how strong it was. My appetizers was the Del Mar Roll which was a shrimp tempura wrap with fried plantain on top, one of the best sushi's I've had in a long time. It was filled with flavor from beginning to the end. I then had the seafood coconut curry and when I tell you I was in love I can't even begin to describe how good it was. It was the perfect balance of seasoning, seafood and rice. I revel some of what my friends tried from the corn empanada which I've never had before was really good. Another friends had the ox tail dumplings which he said was very good. Aura Cocina i was delighted with the staff, the ambiance, the food, the drinks and the music. I will be back.

Yelp
Yesterday evening (3/30/24), I went to Aura Cocina with some of my friends, and it was a great experience overall. We had made a reservation for 7:30pm and were greeted warmly by the hostess upon our arrival. The ambiance of the place was lively and upbeat, with a live Cuban band playing. We started off with some appetizers, which were amazing. We ordered the calamari, crab cakes, and dumplings. I decided to try their margarita, which was refreshing and with a kick to it. Our entrees arrived quickly and my pork chops "encebollado" was delicious. Additionally, the restaurant has room to dance, which adds a nice touch. The atmosphere is upscale, but friendly and the waiters are on point. I would definitely recommend checking this restaurant out!

Yelp
It's been a while since I've been to a restaurant and everything we got was excellent. I really do mean that. Must get appetizer: crispy coconut calamari & porkbelly buns, though the oxtail dumplings was good too!! The seafood coconut was soo flavorful and whatever you get. Just our it with the chimichurri rice. It was so fragrant, fluffy and fantastic. The oxtail stew fell off the bone and melts the second it touches your mouth. The ambiance is beautiful & service was impeccable. They treated us like kings and queens. I get iffy with fusion restaurants because many are a flop, but they did the meaning of FUSION between 2 ethnic foods right. WILL BE COMING BACK.
google avatar

Yelp
They have well made drinks, so if you only want that definitely come here! We came on a Thursday night. The staff was great but the food was absolutely SALTY and the salmon was not cooked inside. The only good thing We had to eat was the Sushi. The noodles were soaked in soy sauce. My friend struggled to the bottom of his because he was hungry. And my other friend just tried to eat the meat and noodles from the top.

Yelp
The place looked nice. Looked nice....The live salsa band was great and the food looked, looked great. It was not. It was bland and lacked any flavor. We had the octopus appetizer and it was rubbery and lacked any flavor. It was definitely reheated from frozen and not fresh at all. It was gross. We had the branzino and oxtail for dinner. Two very flavorful items and they were bleh. For the price and presentation I was surprised. The bar made great margaritas. The waitress barely came over at all throughout the night maybe once, but came quickly to once we needed the check and gave herself a 20% tip for two people and coming over maybe once throughout the night? Horrible. To top it off, I got food poisoning the next day probably from the fish. I will never go back here and it's unfortunate because there is so much potential. It was empty on a Friday night when they play live music. All you need to know. So many better places to go. They will sell you on social media with great videos but lacks severely in execution once you're there. Waste of 200 plus bucks, but the waitress got a good tip because she tipped herself. Way to go. At least I lost weight with all the puking I did the next day.

Yelp
This is a nice place. So it's located a few steps down a alley from the address, on the right hand side, they need to put a sign outside because it's secluded and looks scary at night. The restaurant is huge. They had a live band playing music and a nice woman singing, I believe they were from Columbia. I had a lychee martini, which was good. I had the crab guacamole, I would recommend it. My main course was the skirt steak which was seasoned to perfection with potatoes and broccoli, highly recommended.

Yelp
If you're looking for a new go-to spot, look no further! Although the Aura Cocina is hidden, it makes this place even more unique (hidden gem wink wink) Aura Cocina is my NEW obsession. From the moment I walked in, I knew this place was special. The atmosphere was inviting, staff is friendly and the food is to DIE for. Big portions and amazing prices! My taste buds were doing the happy dance with every bite--and don't get me started on the cocktails (so GOOD!) Aura Cocina has stolen my heart
google avatar

Nika L.

Yelp
Food was tasty, I enjoyed my salmon. Music was entertaining-loved the live band there was 11 of us at this b'day celebration. The staff was slow with the orders, but once it became later during our meals I felt rushed to bring out the cake and to get us out (not a great feeling). Would I go back yes.
google avatar

Sally W.

Yelp
A little out of the way and difficult to find, but once you enter the restaurant, the vibes are worth it. My friend had her birthday party here on a Saturday night and it was packed! It was really loud and there were quite a few birthday parties happening at the same time as ours and the live band was loud (but still good). Service was a bit slow, but understandable since there were many people there. It took me a while to flag down waiters when I needed new utensils, more water, and a to go box. Other than that, the food here was quite interesting and portion sizes were large.
google avatar

Sebastian M.

Yelp
Wow great place and fantastic food!! Everything from the octopus appetizer, drink main course and dessert are excellent... Just becareful by the end since the Gratuity is already charged with 20% and the suggest another tipp on the bill ... also be specific with tap water vs still water it will end up to be charged!! Other than that highly recommended and we will be back

Yelp
I would give 0 stars if I could. This place is chaotic, inhospitable, and not worth it whatsoever. First of all, the place is unnecessarily difficult to find. It's located down an alley/corridor away from the street and there are no street signs whatsoever. I walked up and down the block trying to find the place and eventually had to go into another establishment to ask them where the place was. When I arrived I mentioned that I got lost and the hostess says "oh yea we usually send a video so people know where it is", which made no sense. Why not have street signage so people know where to go? My friend had not yet arrived so I was told I could sit at the bar until he got there. I sat at the bar (which was COMPLETELY empty) directly in front of the bar tender. He ignored me the entire time. Literally not even eye contact. I asked him if I could order a drink while I waited for my friend and he flatly says yes, but never brings the menu and never acknowledges me again. After about 10 minutes I get up and walk back to the front door and just stand there awkwardly. The hostess comes to me and I explain that I'm not sure I can order a drink because the guy is just ignoring me even though there's no one over there. She says "ok do you want me to sit you at your table?" Yes, that would be nice! Now for the space itself - I understand that it's in a warehouse basically so the high ceiling makes it feel super drafty and not intimate whatsoever. Tables are spaced out awkwardly and just feels unintentional, the music was incredibly loud and then when the live band started, there was still music playing on the speakers simultaneously so it was impossible to hear anything anyone said. The microphones on stage were going in and out and creating so much static sound which was incredibly unpleasant. Random guys who were clearly not guests (I'm assuming owners?) were standing around in a huddle in the middle of the floor just talking and taking up space. It doesn't feel like a comfortable environment. So much empty negative space between the door and the rest of the restaurant. The decor is weird graffiti/paintings on the walls, cheap tables and even cheaper flimsy chairs, and no cultural cohesion for a latin/asian fusion restaurant. Why are you offering hookah in a place like this? It seems like they don't really know who they want to be yet - no identity. Just throwing things together and trying to see what sticks. I was finally seated and given water, but sat there for 15 minutes without being asked for a drink order, just had someone point to an old dingy sticker on the table with a QR code on it. No waiter ever came to the table, which was in an awkward place right in front of the bar (again, the lay out of this place was just weird and haphazard with tables spaced out randomly right in front of the bar). I was basically ignored the entire time, even though there weren't that many people there. By the time my date arrived, I told him I just wanted to leave. I didn't get the chance to order ANY food or ANY drinks, so I can't comment on that. Aura Cocina is chaotic and unorganized. The staff are unprofessional. The decor is random and thoughtless. They can't even bother to put a sign on the street so their potential customers can find them. Other reviews mention the terrible food but fortunately I didn't get that far. I would never come here again and would deter others from coming here until they get new management and temporarily shut down to get themselves together.

Yelp
I'll start by saying that this place can be a little difficult to locate the entrance, but if you call the restaurant or simply go to either side street enclosing the restaurant, you'll see the sign and can easily navigate to it. The decor is really chic and instagramable. I loved the details of the place, and the bar was so beautifully decorated. It really stood out! They do have DJs and other events perform and it gives a nice touch for brunch or a date! The brunch menu is slightly limited, so please keep that in mind when making brunch reservations. Although the menu is limited, the food is delicious. We had gotten a variety of items, yogurt with granola, steak, and a burger. It was cooked to our request, well seasoned and plated beautifully. I also really enjoyed the drinks! I got the mojito and I like to think I am a mojito expert, and they were strong and sooooo good! I would love to return for dinner and enjoy their full menu, I'd definitely recommend this place!

Maria S.

Yelp
Don't waste your time or money there. Drinks were ok. Def iced down and not a lot a liquor in any of them. Food was bland and for a Cuban Asian infusion one would expect some flavor! They tell you the table time is 90 min when you walk in and the tone that sounded threatening. Well don't worry!!! They are SO SLOW! You will be there for over 2 hours! If that's what you want, great! Bring cash, don't pay 4% credit card fees. Tables are broken, missing napkins and plants on tables. Our water glasses sat empty for 1 hour!! TOTAL Hot mess!

Yelp
I went here for my birthday and was excited to go to such a cute looking spot in my neighborhood instead of veering out to the city. The service was terrible. We made a reservation via an app and was told that there's a two hour limit. There were some large parties and a few smaller tables of 2-4 people, however still many available tables that never filled during our time there. The waitress we got was so impatient and kept asking us if we knew what we wanted, when we'd tell her what we wants she would say is that all and ask for the menus. We asked to keep them because we wanted more cocktails and dessert after dinner and she sighed. They took took forever to come out and the food was very mediocre, the cocktails tasted like robitussin. The spin on ropa vieja was pretty good, at least far as the meat goes, but the noodles were way over cooked. The sushi was the best thing they made. The staff really couldn't get it together and told us that our time was up and we had to leave but could continue to drink in the lounge area. Mind you the parties that were there prior to us were still there and there were still so many tables open. The manager came over and told us we didn't have to leave after we relocated to the lounge area but I was already over this place and we left shortly after, but I did explain the chaos and my unhappiness to her, we were both very cordial and she apologized and offered the table to us again. We ended up leaving, because it literally killed our vibe. So on another note, the live music was cool but after every song, they would raise their bucket and ask the audience for tips. I felt like I was riding the subway. This place has potential, but they need way better management, otherwise I don't see them lasting very long. Annnnnd the bill was slightly over $500 for food for 4 people and two rounds of drinks, no dessert, no tip included. I really should have heeded the warnings but sometimes people exaggerate in reviews, this was NOT one of those times.

Yelp
Aura Covina is a great spot for a last minute large group dinner. They have a great cocktail list with picture worthy drinks and a great menu. I absolutely recommend the Caja China pork. It's really really good. We order The octopus and decided it could be a little crispier. Our table ordered the pork fried rice and loved it. Overall the menu has quite a few solid options. The restaurant is in fairly large space with ball lights hanging from the ceiling and a "live your best life" neon sign holding down the band stage. Usually upbeat Latin music is played and sometimes a live band graces the small stage at the front of the restaurant. Phenomenal group vibes. This is a go to pot when we have a large party.

Yelp
The vibes were the best thing about this place. Seriously beautiful and apparently they only have live music on Saturdays (or was it Friday) but one table started dancing even without there being live music. So I see the vision of how this could be a fun time for drinks. The staff was nice. The place was very empty I guess we went before the dinner rush on Sunday. We didn't have to wait for anything and there was always someone around when we needed them. The food however left a lot to be desired. We pre-checked the menu and the flavor combinations sounded really good. We were excited to try but disappointed when everything was just okay. The calamari was supposed to have a red curry sauce, but it kind of just tasted like a chili Mayo? Our oxtail dumplings came cold so that didn't help and we ended up just not eating them. The crab empanadas were the most flavorful but I think the cream cheese was helping a lot there. Overall I'd go back for drinks at the bar, the music, and stick to appetizers. Or maybe we should've gotten actual entrees ‍. Try for yourselves and leave a review of what you recommend. I think we just went on an off night

Yelp
5 Stars! Friends say I'm a tough critic. The truth is in my opinion I call it how I see it in my experience. We went on a Saturday night. Vibes are in the air with live music. Our waitress's was attentive which I appreciated always. I ordered two different drinks La Cura & Herbed Honey Smash very good drinks. For appetizers out of the three Kani Crab Empanadas, Oxtail Pan Seared Dumplings and Red Curry Fried Calamari. The fried Calamari wins the sauce and taste was fresh so amazing. Just a FYI I usually do not order calamari I'm not a fan. For the main course I had sushi Hangover Roll. Good roll but the moment I dipped the soy sauce it became another experience, highly recommended! Especially if you are getting into sushi. I also tried the Miso Salmon if you enjoy Salmon this will blow you taste buds go for it you won't regret it! Presentation Service Vibes

Yelp
Aura Cocina is sort of hard to find (you enter through an alley). I came with a friend for drinks/dinner on a weeknight and the place was almost empty, so it was sort of an awkward vibe but we had a good time. I tried: + Pina colada + Corn empanada + Pork bao buns + Ropa vieja and chimichurri fried rice + Udon and trumpets + Amor prohibido cocktail Everything was pretty solid, though the udon was a little greasy. In the future I would just come for cocktails, which were better than the food.

Yelp
I had dinner here on Saturday night. No reservation was needed and there were just a few tables occupied. They were behind schedule, and when we arrived around 6:15 we had to wait until 6:45 to order food. We were totally fine with that and ordered drinks; I tried the sun clap, loved it, and my friend enjoyed his la cura. I also tried the porn star and lychee martini, and enjoyed them both. We ordered the kani crab empanadas and the steak sushi roll for appetizers, and for mains the seafood coconut curry and one of the noodle dishes (I forgot the name). Everything was delicious! I can't even pick a favorite because everything was so good. Our waitress was great and recommended all the dishes we had. And shoutout to the waiter who recommended the porn star! The only complaint I have is the temperature inside. It was freezing!

Yelp
For weekend brunch they offer a bottomless option that comes with 1 appetizer, 1 entree and 90 minutes of mimosas. The space is super cute and they have a dj playing a great mix. We had the Cuban salad and the ricotta toast for apps and the burger and bacon egg and cheese waffle with and addition of fried chicken as our entrees. Everything was really good including their hot sauce. They also offer hookah (didn't try and not sure of the price), but it was definitely a vibe. Great for couples, small and larger group, and celebrations. I recommend making reservations. Also it may be a bit hard to find. It's located behind what looks like abandoned store fronts.

Yelp
Are you ready for the 411? Here we go...this is a cute spot in Williamsburg, nicely tucked off of Meserole. The industrial feel of it and open space made it so inviting. The customer service was on point and the staff really make you feel welcomed. The drinks were tasty, especially the Guava Island. For entrees, the seafood coconut curry was tasty and had good flavor. I ate every last bite. My husband had the pork belly and he started to enjoy it until he got to one piece and realized it was not fully cooked. This was a little disappointing because we were in love with the ambiance. They had a live Cuban band which was really good and got the crowd excited. Despite the setback with my husband's food, I would recommend this place. I always feel people should check out places for themselves and my reviews are for information purposes. Check it out!

Yelp
Went for dinner on a Thursday . I give the food here 7/10, there definitely missing more food options on the menu. Service was well, did feel bad a lot of times because there was only two people serving everyone in the restaurant. Ambiance is absolutely amazing though, very sexy and chic.

Yelp
I discovered this restaurant on instagram. Overall it was a good experience. The drinks were unique and tasty. The food was good. The crab empanadas were my favorite. The Chicken looked good and was moist; however It lacked seasoning. My salmon was on point. Moist and flavorful. We also celebrated a birthday. The staff kindly accommodated my cake and bought it out with sparklers. That was a nice surprise. The band was also a nice touch. At night, the restaurant converts to a hookah/lounge. It was a nice way to end the night with drinks by the bar and dancing.

Yelp
Went here for a friends birthday tonight and the vibe was amazing. They had a live band play Spanish music and it was such a fun time. The food was absolutely delicious. Every dish tasted so good.

Yelp
The service was great, they were very understanding when we were running late. I enjoyed the drinks, the Sun clap was my favorite. The appetizers were better than the entrees in my opinion. If you get anything, please get the red curry fried calamari, that sauce was amazing. Out of all the entrees, the skirt steak was probably the best. I ordered the chow fun ropa vieja and I didn't really enjoy it. The spicy crab guacamole wasn't spicy at all which I was hoping for. Very pretty place and the live music was great. After the live music was over, the music from the DJ was extremely loud, maybe a little too loud.

Yelp
Where to even start. This place deserves 0 stars but that's not even an option. I will say it is a very pretty place aesthetic wise BUT everything else sucks. We came here for a bday brunch & was told we had to pay a $25 cover charge for each person once the "party starts" at 4pm. How is that even possible when we were already there for brunch & have to pay to stay inside? The promoter was extremely rude & demanded his $25 as if we were at a club. Relax it's Sunday brunch. So many people came & left because of this policy so I suggest management change that OR at least let people know in advance because that was news to our group of 15. The music is extremely loud you can't even hear your waitress or hear yourself talk. The food was ok but the menu is pretty limited & if you do the bottomless option everyone at the table has to as well. Hookah is cash only which we didn't know either. I would never visit here again.

Yelp
Aura Cocina will definitely be seeing me again this summer. The restaurant it's self is beautiful ! And to top it off every Saturday is drag brunch day ! So on top of getting great food and cocktails you're also witnessing amazing performers. I ordered the Ropa Vieja eggs Benedict and to drink I ordered the La cura. Now we did come for my close girlfriends bday celebration but we opted out the unlimited mimosas. I believe brunch with mimosas is $50 per person. I will add that hookah is not served on Saturdays which makes sense and is safer for the customers and performers. Performers are dancing and moving around if hookah was served there could be an accident. Safety is best. If you go please make sure to bring singles to tip performers if not the bar can provide change. Beau is my favorite dancer !

Yelp
If I could give a this place 0 stars I would I had an extremely disappointing experience at this restaurant while dining with my family. During our meal, My niece bit into a piece of glass in her food, which was not only dangerous but also disgusting. When I brought this to the attention of the waiter and manager, their response were completely inadequate. Not only did they fail to address the issue promptly, but they also showed no concern for my niece's safety or well-being. Their rude and unprofessional behavior further added to the distress of the situation. I urge others to be cautious when dining here, as the staff's negligence and rudeness ruined what should have been an enjoyable meal.

Yelp
Welp... I should have definitely checked out Yelp reviews before making reservations. What a place.. 1. Food is bland .. the shrimp ceviche and yuca dish were the most tastiest. 2. Service is mediocre .. especially with drinks, they would forget some people's drinks from the table while others had there's. 3. Management lacks accountability and proper hospitality .. their was a piece of glass inside one of our sushi roll orders. One of the guest bit into it. I am not speaking about a tiny piece of glass I'm speaking about a finger nail size glass. When brought up to our waiter - he mentioned that he was going to talk to his boss. The manager never came over to our table to apologize... ask if everybody was okay... if there was anything they can do to compensate for this poor experience .. on the contrary, we had several people from our party go and speak to the manager who was bickering back and forth trying to justify his end .. and everyone knows in customer service that the customer is always correct. But, besides that, we were dumbfounded about how the situation was handled. We let him know that our biggest concern was his lack of accountability and worry. We also reminded him that this is a liability for his restaurant since he said the glass could have possibly fell from a light bulb "since the restaurant has been open for 7 years" and he proceeded to say "well that's why we have insurance" RUDE RUDE RUDE AND THE MOST HORRIBLE HOSPITALITY EVER. That man should not be working in this business. He didn't even offer to take off any items from our order so we decided to pay everything that billed up to $700 and did not leave the waiter a tip. Yes! We felt horrible for the waiter but also, that's the managers fault and he definitely isn't looking out for his employees either. 4. The live music is amazing but only lasts about an hour. That is all friends. Felt very strong about sharing this because it's such a disappointment that a restaurant with so much potential goes to ruin due to its hospitality. All best.

Yelp
First time visiting for brunch & was happily surprised with then drag show! It was really fun & entertaining! The crowd loved it! The food wasn't the greatest. Was a little disappointed. The drinks also seem a bit pricey for the area.. $18. I wouldn't have an issue if they were strong & am used to paying that in the city.. not in Bushwick! I'd go back for the shows but don't think I would go back again to eat brunch. The restaurant however is really cute & has a great setup. Maybe it was just an off day for the cooks.

Yelp
we made reservations for my husband 54 birthday. when i made the reservation they never informed us the table we reserved was limited to 3 hours. We were seated at 7pm, we ordered our food at 7:20pm some of my guest didnt get there food till 8:45pm They then told us we have to leave the table and go sit sit at the bar because another group had reserved our table for 9pm. I was told that i could bring a cake to celebrate my husband bday and the charge to cut the cake would be $25.00. Due to the fact our food was 11/2 late we had run out of our time to cut the cake. We only saw our waiter once The food was good but small portions and very pricey The drinks were good but for 1 shot of tequila its $50.00. we were not aware of those prices. The crowd is a mature crowd but the place is over booked The quality of the service is not good. At the end of the night my guess and i left very disappointed at the fact that they kicked us out of our table and there was no place for us to sit or stand. The waiter tiped herself 18% and we only saw her once. needless to say we will not recommend this place nor will we be back. The business cares more about making money than they do about serving their guess. Guess services are not very organized They need to give people more information at the time of booking Unsatisfied customers Ruined my husband bday dont go here

Yelp
I only give this place a 4 because it was hard to find but overall, the ambience is wonderful and though they did not have much vegetarian/vegan options, they made accommodations. I loved the Thai Chicken salad without the chicken. It was so flavorful and the 'porn star' drink, it hits!! Definitely a date night recommendation.

Yelp
Was here today for dinner with friends. Have not been out on a Friday night. So this was a treat. The food was great and the band was good too. The service was excellent. The restaurant is clean, cute and beautiful atmosphere.

Yelp
Visited here for brunch on a Sunday, and I must say their brunch options are a deal!! Appetizers + Entree + 90 minutes bottomless mimosas all for 50$! The vibe was great, the live DJ and good food make for a good time. Highly recommend Aura for a good Sunday Funday or just for a good weekend brunch.

Yelp
I visited for a friends bday dinner last year and was very impressed! The food was delicious and the service was great. The portion sizes are huge and very filling. The menu was a little different but we loved the Cuban-Asian fusion! At the time they had a rice noodle dish with chicken and shrimp lo-mein, both of which were amazing. The live band sounded great and they were super interactive with the crowd which was fun to watch. I'm hoping to come by soon again for brunch which I know is more of a party vibe. Dinner is more chill. Highly recommend to make a reservation especially on weekends. I can tell they get pretty packed.

Yelp
Came here for brunch on a Sunday. Reservations were recommended however, there were a lot of tables available when we arrived. The entrance is a bit confusing to find, you have to go down this spacious "alley" and the entrance is the last door on the right. The venue is quite spacious and very nicely decorated. The drinks were delicious I had the porn star which is one of favorites on the menu. As for the food we ordered steak and eggs and burgers, everything came out so good. They do have a bottomless brunch option which is $50 if you're into that. There was a DJ, his set wasn't too bad. He played a little bit of everything. They also have hookah, not sure how much it costs but it's available for the hookah lovers. I would definitely come back again.

Yelp
Truly enjoyed dinner here. Highly recommend reservations, but bar seating is readily available. I came in when there was a live band and thoroughly enjoyed. The Kani Crab Empanadas (5/5), Peking Chicken (3/5) - it was dry and not very flavorful, Miso Salmon (5/5), Skirt Steak (5/5), truffle fries (4/5), Shrimp Fried Rice (4/5). Will certainly be back!
