Aurum - Review - Breckenridge - Denver - The Infatuation

"Consider Aurum the ultimate crowd-pleaser when no one can agree on what to eat for dinner. There’s a nice wine list for the oenophile preferential to Rhone Valley reds, grill selections for the meat-and-potatoes person, and excellent cocktails for that friend who just wants to drink and snack on fries. They also have a great Happy Hour—you can easily make a cheap meal out of the fluffy parker rolls and Korean fried chicken bites." - Anne Cruz

The Best Places to Eat and Drink in Summit County, Colorado, Breckenridge | Eater Denver

"When Aurum opened last summer, it didn’t just come to town (the original location is in Steamboat) to capture the tourist traffic. Instead, owner Phillips Armstrong and chef Korey Sims examined what the town really needed. They settled on a menu deep in excellent crudos, appetizers like crispy curried cauliflower and spicy Korean fried chicken, and hearty entrées such as honey-spiced duck and a bang-up burger. The strong menu, just-right vibe, and Sims’ skill in the kitchen means Aurum is busy seven nights a week." - Amanda Faison

Extremely satisfied with my visit to Aurum while visiting Breckenridge. The food, cozy ambiance, and service were all excellent. Food and drinks came out quickly and were full of flavor! Visited during happy hour and got the crispy curried cauliflower, french onion burger, Korean fried chicken, aurum caesar, and french garden lemonade. LOVED the cauliflower and french onion burger, so much so that I’d visit Colorado all over again just to try them. The salad and fried chicken left something to be desired but still not bad. Loved the mocktails, very refreshing. A reservation is highly recommended as seating goes quickly and wait times can be a little long as they aim to give a quality dining experience to those who booked in advance.

Super disappointed with the food. Service and ambiance was incredible but we didn’t like the food at all. Beef carpaccio was tasty but it was a whole production and messy to eat, and all the toppings overpowered the flavor of the beef which is the best part. Pork ribs were very good. The duck dish was super disappointing, it was mostly just a ton of brussel sprouts drowning in demi glaze with a side of duck (just 2 small pieces for $60, picture attached). The two small potato cakes it came with were dense and sticky, and had no flavor. My husband got the pasta dish and it looked beautiful but it was one of the most bland pasta dishes we’ve ever had and we had to ask for salt. We should’ve gotten the steak. The drinks were also super sweet. Overall, we were really disappointed with the food for over $300 for two people (apps, drinks for 2 people, and entrees + tip). The reviews were great so we were expecting a different experience. I’d maybe go back again for a glass of wine and a burger + fries, or the steak, and I’d sit at the bar.

Awesome atmosphere. Tried the Duck Hunter cocktail, it was a fun experience but something I don't need to get again. The old fashioned was very good. The crispy cauliflower and beef carpaccio were very tasty! Someone in our group had the beet cured salmon app and loved it as well. We'll be back to try more!

We had a lovely experience at Aurum Food and Wine in beautiful Breckenridge. The restaurant is beautifully designed and laid out. It was much quieter at the front of the restaurant across from the bar area. The bartender was friendly and talented. She offered us a number of drinks that weren’t on the menu. Curious George was really good and it was their play on the espresso martini. They have a great happy hour between 4-6pm which we enjoyed on one of our visits. Our server Scarlett was knowledgeable, attentive and gave us some great recommendations for our ski day. The Wedge salad, the ribs and the beef carpaccio really stood out to us. It was easy to walk there if you’re staying anywhere close to the village. I definitely recommend making a reservation as it gets busy. When we come back to Breck we will definitely go back to Aurum. I highly recommend it.

Google
Amazing dining experience! I had the duck and it was absolutely outstanding — perfectly cooked, tender, and full of rich flavor. The presentation was beautiful and the portion was just right. The atmosphere is warm and stylish, and the service was attentive without being intrusive. Definitely one of the best meals I’ve had in Breckenridge. Highly recommend!

Had reservations at 5:45 pm on Christmas Day, we got sat 30 minutes late. The music was also very loud here and so was the overall noise but The Rib appetizer was delicious! Food was really good. My husband and I both got steak. The lobster add on was just okay, it was kinda chewy but the steak and mashed potatoes were really good. We got chocolate chip cookies and the chocolate cake for dessert. Both were good. We also got blackberry mocktails. Those were the best drinks we’ve ever had! Overall pretty good!

We had a fantastic dining experience at Aurum Food & Wine. The food was outstanding, and the zero-proof pairing was thoughtfully curated, truly elevating the meal. Huge thanks to George for exceptional service and for making the evening even more special. Highly recommended!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Auram Restaurant – A Feast of Artistry and Warmth From the moment I stepped into Auram Restaurant, located on the 5th floor of the Hotel Las Americas Golden Tower, I knew I was in for something special. What I discovered was not just a meal, but a Thanksgiving feast that exceeded every expectation. Executive Chef Juan Velasquez and General Manager Marilin welcomed me with genuine warmth and professionalism. Their passion was evident in every detail—from the artistry of the dishes to the gracious hospitality that made the evening feel both celebratory and intimate. 🌿 Variety That Delights Every Palate Auram’s buffet was a masterclass in diversity. Stations encircled the tastefully decorated dining room, offering: • Fresh salads with customizable toppings, from cucumbers and artichokes to roasted beets with orange and ginger. • Side dishes like fine rice with herbs, creamy garlic mashed potatoes, sweet potato purée, and roasted Brussels sprouts with balsamic. • Proteins prepared with finesse: baked turkey breast with herbs, beef fillet in mushroom-red wine sauce, and roast pork glazed with honey and passionfruit. • A ceviche station serving vibrant cups of freshly prepared ceviche, presented playfully on a wooden boat. • A bread station paired with roasted pumpkin cream soup, rich and comforting. 🍖 The Main Attractions Highlights included brisket al Vacio, tender and flavorful with brown gravy over roasted peppers and eggplant, and a beautifully carved turkey accompanied by classic cranberry sauce and filling—comforting and nostalgic, yet elevated in presentation. 🍰 Sweet Final Notes Desserts were nothing short of spectacular: mini alfajores, pecan pie presented with flair, passionfruit mousse, coconut flan, chocolate brownies with pecans, pumpkin pie, and assorted cookies. Each bite was a testament to the chef’s artistry and attention to detail. ✨ A Memorable Holiday Experience As a solo traveler, I often seek traditional holiday dinners abroad. Auram delivered the finest Thanksgiving celebration I have ever experienced while traveling. The combination of exquisite variety, artistic presentation, and the warm professionalism of Chef Juan and his team made this evening unforgettable. If you find yourself in Panama City, Panama, Auram Restaurant is a must-visit. Whether for a holiday feast or a casual evening, expect a dining experience that blends international flavors with heartfelt hospitality. Hats off to the team—I look forward to returning soon.

Yelp
Food was good but the service left a lot to be desired especially considering the better treatment other people around us got.

Yelp
I've had Aurum on the list to visit for the past few times we've come to Breck, but we had never made it. Then today, we were in the mood for a good burger. A quick google search for "Best hamburger in Breckenridge" starts with the French Onion Burger at Aurum. Even better, it's on the happy hour menu. So, to Aurum we went. We each had a beer to start...the 4 Noses Oktoberfest for me and the Skaterade Lager for my wife. From there, I saw another table with the Crispy Curried Cauliflower, and I knew we needed to get it. And we were so happy we did. Quite possibly the best cauliflower I've ever had. Absolutely fantastic. We were already set on each having the burger, but then we heard others at tables around us raving about the burger...but also suggesting to get it cooked more than you usually order your meat. My wife got hers medium well and thought it was perfect. I got mine medium plus (at the suggestion of another diner), and it was also perfect. I had the lemon Parmesan fries, which were amazing, and my wife was also happy with her sea salt fries. We both agreed it was one of the better burgers we've had, as well as one of our favorite dishes in Breckenridge. And $16 for a large, fantastic burger plus yummy fries? C'mon. Where is that possible these days?!? Well, come to Aurum for happy hour, and you'll see. Service was friendly, strong, and consistent throughout. Aurum is now on our must-visit list whenever we're in Breckenridge.

Yelp
My husband and I had dined here together in late summer 2018 and we loved it. He had come by himself several times over the years and continued to rave about how good his meals were here. Finally we were able to come back together and I am pleased to say that the food is just as good as I remembered it, if not better. They have a decent happy hour and overall the experience is casual with an upscale touch. Our server was friendly and attentive and I appreciated that when she boxed our leftovers, she wrote what was inside and the date. It's the little details that stand out! We started with the crispy curried cauliflower and and a crudo. The cauliflower definitely had some curry flavor but it wasn't too strong or spicy. The crudo was super fresh and I loved that it incorporated some local fresh elements but the Serranos are spicy, beware! I got a bite of one and my mouth was on fire for a while. My husband got the duck dish and I got the pasta special. The duck was tasty although a bit heavy, as duck normally is. The pasta was super tasty too, I liked the peas included. Overall, Aurum is a hit and I am sure we will continue to come during our trips to Breck!

Yelp
I originally dined here in Feb'22 with 2 of my brothers - we thoroughly enjoyed our meal & experience, though I can't recall what we ate or who our waiter/waitress was. That said, my wife & I had a weekend getaway to celebrate our 12y wedding anniversary this past weekend, & I thought she would enjoy the same experience I had years ago, since I hadn't been back since that previous time. We arrived ~5mins ahead of our 630p reservation, which specified when we booked that it was a "1h45min reservation". We were told the party seated at our table was finishing their dessert (no problem, we were a few minutes ahead of the reservation time anyway), & that we were welcomed to enjoy a cocktail @ the bar while we wait. I understand how as a restaurant it may be awkward to have to tell a party "your time is up", however if you are going to have a specified reservation time block called-out when booking, then you should be fairly strict (but polite) with said-time & say to dining parties (as they're seated, or even as their time is near-ending) "we are happy you're here with us, etc. but as a reminder - we do try to stay true to our allotted time blocks to ensure we can accommodate all who have booked reservations to dine with us this evening" (or something similar), especially if you're also stating in your reservation portal that any late cancels will be charge per person for canceling (which is totally fine, too - I get it). We were seated @ 6:57p - 27mins late! We were given a small complimentary flute of champagne as we were finally seated (nice gesture - thank you! because our reservation had notated our anniversary), however another 7mins went by before our waiter even said "I'll be with you shortly". ANOTHER 4mins go by, & he finally stops by (not sure if he as new or just overwhelmed or what, but he seemed very flustered & unfamiliar when describing the specials for the evening). We thanked him & I LITERALLY said to him & my wife, "we're ready to order" as we were now ~45mins later than our planned reservation to finally be able to place our order. He turned & walked away - no "I'll be right back" or "pardon me, I will be right back to take your order" - nothing. We looked at each other & were so frustrated with the series of events that we just walked out. The waitress wasn't @ the stand to tell her we were leaving. I left a message via OpenTable briefly expressing our frustration (probably a 200 character msg, not at all elaborate like this), & the team deleted our reservation & msg from their system. I was surprised that, at minimum, no one bothered to even reach out to apologize for any inconvenience or frustration it might have caused. Ps. We walked across the street & ate @ Hearthstone - 10/10, would highly recommend their food & service. They were able to seat us in their first come-first service patio & had our meals cooked & to us within 15mins. Ordered lamb chops & Elk chops - both were delicious.

Yelp
I don't believe in leaving poorly rated reviews that live in perpetuity (hence the five stars) but truly, the experience was very underwhelming. Our server, Madison, was entirely friendly and helpful albeit stretched thin. The dishes my group had were the mushroom soup, beef carpaccio, pasta special, duck entree, Caesar and kale salad. The carpaccio was a lot of smoke and mirrors for the flavor. The soup was great. The pasta special was very gamey and the consommé really watered it down. The favorite (for me) was the gin thyme cocktail- much better depth of flavor and you could tell there was thoughtful consideration in the rest of the cocktail menu.

Yelp
Awesome happy hour from 4-6 PM! I tried the Bibb wedge salad, Korean chicken, and the burger with fries -- everything was delicious. The outdoor patio is perfect with heated lamps, and the indoor space has such a cool vibe with tall ceilings, wood accents, and exposed copper pipes. Bright, airy, and a great spot overall. Service was exceptional!

Yelp
Incredible food and service! The inside of the restaurant is very elegant and our server was super friendly. The hanger steak was amazing. They have a great happy hour menu which I would recommend checking out. I will visit again when I'm in Breckenridge.

Yelp
Loved this place from the minute we walked in. Nice decor, really interesting artwork. Good bar right up front with a nice selection of more interesting liquors. We were a party of eight and (IMO) a bit of a handful, but our server took good care of us. She kept our drinks full and handled our "idiosyncrasies " with grace. The menu is simple enough to concentrate the kitchen's efforts but varied enough to satisfy. To start, we had the Parker House Rolls, which were very tasty, and the Hand-cut Fries, which were DELICIOUS. I had the Aurum Caesar for dinner and loved it. Also had a few big forkfuls of the featured pasta, which was their take on a carbonara. It was pretty good - but not as good as my salad. There were complimentary remarks about the Hanger Steak and the Mushroom and Gruyère Soup from others. All in all a very pleasant evening and we will definitely revisit when back in Breck. .

Yelp
Rating based on food price and quality! Avoid Aurum Food and find something else! This is a tourist spot, overpriced for the quality. We were a group of 6, and it was the first time in Aurum Food for 5 of us. The restaurant's atmosphere is modern but a little close to the guests on either side. It's not very spacious. We got the summer tasting menu and happy hour. Service: I think our waitress's name was Maya. (correction her name is Megan) She was friendly and attentive and explained the food in detail. Very knowledgeable about the menu. She provided excellent service. Three of us ordered the French Onion Burger and Korean fried chicken. The other 3 ordered RM Trout. Overall, 5 of us found the food disappointing and not good. We didn't have more than two bites of our Korean Fried Chicken. It was spicy, but that was not the problem; the "chicken" (if any) was hard, dry, salty, and chewy, not worthy of another bite. The Costco fried chicken tastes way better than this dish. So go to Costco, get a frozen bag, and drop some sesame seeds, pickled red onion, ranch dressing, and walla! The Burger was okay. It didn't wow me at all. I was not too fond of the onion jam (which I asked to be on the side to control how much I wanted on), but I'm glad I did, as I opted not to add any of it. The French fries were meh. Nothing special. One of my friends shared her trout dish, and I hoped to like it, but the trout was overcooked and underseasoned. The dish had so much going on that the flavors and components didn't mix well. After our experience, we all tried hard to understand how this is so highly rated. We all had high expectations for the price that we were paying. In addition to the awful food, know there is a charge fee for kitchen staff. Hello? Isn't the owner/industry supposed to be paying them? This fee is NOT mandatory. If the "Industry" wants to ensure fair compensation for ALL THE STAFF working behind the scenes. I believe it is the industry's responsibility to pay its employees fairly and NOT the clients to help it achieve that fair competition. That is why we are paying for overpriced dishes and tips!!! You're welcome! I will encourage all of my traveling friends to avoid this place. Alternatively, if you end up going, I recommend deducting the % kitchen fee charge from the server's tip. Please go elsewhere, as I certainly will. Pricing is already outrageous in Breck, but there are many places to eat without additional gouging.

Yelp
We loved Aurum Restaurant! We were a party of six and came for an early dinner at 4:15 during happy hour. We had reservations. The occasion was a college reunion, having met 51 years ago. We all live out of town except one member of the group owns a house here and recommended Aurum since she has been there several times. There are so many good things to say here. We love the entrance, with the cool bar and high ceiling. It really sets the ambiance. Our service was very good, not just our waitress but also those refilling water and clearing dishes. We ordered several dishes to share and every one was very good. The wedge salad was the best I have ever had and probably ever will have. I have ordered this at many restaurants and have never had one so tasty and filled with extra ingredients besides the basic bacon and blue cheese. The roasted cauliflower was very good. The hamburger was very good also even though it was a little too pink for some after ordering it to be cooked medium. We kept saying over and over "this is so good!" I will definitely go back here my next time in Breckenridge!

Yelp
OH my word!!! I just can't get enough of this place. They are consistent, just like me showing up to devour their Curry Cauliflower during happy hour. Great food and great happy hour value. Make sure to get there before the doors open at 4 PM. Or have a reservation. Until next time mi amor....which means see ya tomorrow

Yelp
This is my favorite restaurant in Breckenridge. The hanger steak entree is awesome and I have had it a half dozen times. There was a big miss on last nights meal. I usually leave either stuff or with a doggie bag of steak. Last night instead of a single hanger steak, I was give 3 small pieces from 3 different steaks - each cooked to a different temp (rare, medium rare, and we'll done). Food as always looked great, but... no leftovers and still hungry when I left. Hopefully just a kitchen misstep? I probably won't order this dish next time and try something new.

Yelp
We were a party of five and arrived for a 7:45 reservation on a Saturday night. We were seated right away at a high top in the front of the restaurant. Our server, Bryan, was friendly, attentive, and explained the food in detail. We ordered many dishes to share, and we were impressed with the speed the plates came out of the kitchen and the efficiency of the staff to handle all of the food. We started with four different cocktails that were all delicious, but the Spicy Cucumber Margaritas were the table favorite. The Mountain Time was refreshing if you like gin, the Ginger Pear Martini was on the sweet side, and the Smokey Alpine Glow was fantastic if you like Mezcal tequila. It is pretty smokey if that is your thing (it is mine). Since we were with our adult children who are adventurous eaters, we shared all of the dishes. We ordered 9 dishes and that was the perfect amount of food as there was nothing left over and everyone was pleasantly satiated. Here is what we thought: Parker House Rolls - pretty typical and nothing outstanding Crispy Curried Cauliflower - if you like a bit of curry, this dish is fantastic! Korean BBQ Pork Ribs - A-maz-ing! Everyone loved the sauce and they were so tender. Miso Asparagus Bisque - very well balanced. We ordered two bowls and we all really wanted just a little bit more. Note: if you are taking pictures for a review, this dish is a not well photographed. The bowl is presented with asparagus and pistachio dust and then the servers pour in the soup and it becomes a bowl of greatness that looks bad in pics. Hamachi Crudo - a very well balanced, typical (in a great way) version of crudo. The Hamachi was fresh and perfectly sliced. We had two of these for the table. Housemade Rotating Pasta - It was good, but we didn't get the notes that Bryan said we would taste. It was very unique. This dish changes all the time, so what I say doesn't really matter here:) Farmers Market Special - for us it was cantaloupe done 4 ways. Very interesting and very tasty. We all appreciated the Chef's creativity with using local ingredients in this dish and the pasta dish. We did not have an entree, but I'm sure they are all as good as the rest of the menu. We all highly recommend Aurum (which is Latin for gold...we asked) if you are in Breckenridge. The standard menu is fantastic and the fact that Chef is creative with the pasta and farmer's market plates is very refreshing.

Yelp
It's a beautiful restaurant. We were greater when we walked in and seated right away. I highly recommend making a reservation. Our server explained the specials and placed a fee recommendations. To be honest you can't go wrong with anything you order. I do wish I got the short ribs for my meal instead as it is enormous and looked so appetizing! My husband got the trout, I got the French onion burger and the kids got steak and cookies. All were very tasty! I was so delighted with the cookie desert at it was soooo good! If you have room for dessert this is a must! Overall great place to eat! It does not disappoint

Richard F.

Yelp
We've had dinner here multiple times and it's one of our favorites in Breckenridge. Overall everything was good except for beef carpaccio and the chili glazed half chicken. Both items need "editing" from the chef - beef carpaccio has bacon, parmesan espuma, peas, egg yolk, etc; this is over kill on a dish that should be executed simply. For dinner I had the Chili-maple glazed half chicken - this dish is a hot mess! Overall presentation is sloppy; latke waffles were awful, there's a giant bed of grits along with collard greens. Aside from the presentation the main issue is that the chicken it is tasteless once you get past the skin(which I don't eat). Collard greens are the best part of the meal. We were a party of 6 and everyone else liked their food so I clearly ordered the wrong thing. Staff was polite and manager came over which was nice.

Yelp
Food was delicious, service was great, and ambience was perfect! Highly recommend the trout dish, Parker rolls, and the kale salad. My husband had the pasta special that was also very tasty. Cocktail wise, the martini with the Breckenridge Pear vodka was perfect. Wine selection by the glass is also very generous. The kids menu is also very impressive.

Yelp
We had high hopes for Aurum and almost everything was really good... except the misleading promotion that brought us in the door.On Sunday Nov 16, the restaurant's own website had a huge pop-up screaming "Local's Special - 50% OFF ALL ENTRÉES Sunday-Thursday" with a big Book Now button (screenshot attached). That deal is literally why we chose Aurum and booked for Monday Nov 24 through the OpenTable link right on your site. When we got there and asked about the discount, our server (who was honestly fantastic) checked and came back apologizing that it had ended for Thanksgiving week. I pulled up the exact same pop-up still live on the website on my phone. She was super nice about it and said it was a website mistake that should have been taken down. Only later did we find the tiny gray fine-print exclusion.By then we were seated and settled, so we stayed. The fried chicken and duck were both tasty, the wine list is excellent, and the service all night was genuinely top-notch. We just left feeling a little misled and wishing the entrées had blown us away at full price (they were good, not wow).We get that promos change, but leaving that giant pop-up running with a hard-to-see exception felt deceptive. Hope management sees this and fixes the website so no one else gets surprised.

Yelp
My family came here and paid premium for the tasting menu. We saw the great reviews on the normal menu food but could not find any reviews on the tasting menu. Honestly, the whole tasting menu turned out to be the most tasteless items we had ever experienced. My dad and my partner are NEVER ones to complain about food and always find the good in things; however, both also agreed that all of the dishes except one pasta dish had zero flavor. We were baffled; even the dessert was flavorless. Something must have been off that night. The server at first was not very friendly either; we had sat there for 40 min after ordering and still had not gotten our first dish so my partner asked him for bread or something to hold us over and the guy was rude to him, saying it was a tasting menu and things take time.... we were paying $120 + tax + tip per person; that was not a way to respond at all! to any customer! But anyway, in the end, they made it right by comping our meal (hence the 3 stars); except for the $18 alcohol drink lol. Why even bother? But anyway, to this day, we are still baffled at how they got such good reviews but the tasting menu was just not good at all. We have done several of these fine dining tasting menus before and have never been disappointed!

Yelp
Aurum is one of the better restaurants in Breckenridge, not quite in the elite tier of, say, Radicato, but it is much easier to get into. The food here is generally what I would call New American with a little French influence. Items like steaks, duck, a great burger, etc., adorn the menu. They have a great kids menu with one of my daughter's favorite burgers, and they have excellent fries, really, really excellent fries. The wine list is well priced and has a number of good values on it. Service can be up and down, on a recent visit, I ordered a nice bottle of wine for the table, and the glasses came fresh out of the dishwasher, still quite warm to the touch and smelling strongly of detergent. The staff did rectify the issue, but a warm wine glass should be caught on touch at these price points. Similarly, service disappeared a few times during our meal, leading to a bit of an odd cadence for food and drink arrivals at the table. Five of us got drinks, with one arriving about 5 minutes later, and then all of us finished our first round as appetizers were arriving, waiting then to re-order. If I could give it 4.5 stars, I would, but alas, it is not an option. Aurum, however, should be an option for your next nice family meal.

Yelp
Vika & Meeko are the best of the best! Only bartenders in Breck to hang with! They will make your trip.

Yelp
My favorite place for Hapoy Hour in Breck and top 3 restaurant! Food was amazing, our server Cherry was below average. We were there to celebrate 50th Birthday. She was rude, non attentive we had to ask other for drink refills and to order. Besides a very bd server, Arum is the best. Great apps to choose from: Korean chicken a must, cauliflower was spot on nd the burger was top notch. Great cocktails and one of our favs. This would be a 5 star but our bad service brought down this review. Highly recommend

Yelp
We just stopped in on a busy night in Breck. The Uhler festival was happening and Main Street was packed. We found this on our walk for a restaurant. The place is very pretty. The little inside bar is beautiful with the tall full wall shelves. Service was very good. The mushroom soup was amazing! My husband loved his NY steak, cooked perfectly he said. The other 3 of us had the surf & turf with the crab cake. 2/3 steaks came out very nice cuts of meat. Mine however was very very fatty. The manager noticed when he was running plates and put another one on the fire immediately before we even noticed. That was outstanding service on his part. Personally the crab cake was a little fishy, it the other two loved theirs. Wine list is ok, nothing exotic or up to a wine lover. Wish there were more options But the cocktail list looked good! This is definitely a good restaurant, we will keep this on the rotation list when we come to Breckenridge.

Yelp
I was surprised at how hyped this place was while visiting Breckenridge. The inside is very plain looking and the tables are very small and close together. Our server gave some recommendations & was overall very helpful and attentive. The food was okay, but nothing stuck out to me enough to be memorable. Some of it kind of gave bar food vibes, but the rolls were amazing!

Yelp
Sat at the bar, service, food and drinks were all fantastic! Bartender made us seasonal pumpkin spice espresso martinis, delicious. The two gals that were bartending were both knowledgeable, friendly and attentive, 5 stars!

Yelp
Food was excellent- service was great. I was very unimpressed with the 3% kitchen fee. I have never seen this in my 20 years of eating at nice restaurants. I understand costs have risen, but bake this into the price. Don't add an unexpected fee without telling us about it. This 3% was unfortunately deducted from the servers tip. This fee should be explained or posted very visibly when walking in. Because of this, it ruined my night. 3 stars.

Yelp
We ate dinner here a couple night ago and ordered 4 items off their Happy Hour menu: Korean Fried Chicken, Wedge Salad, a Hamburger, and fried Cauliflower. The Korean Fried Chicken was a huge disappointment. The sauce they had on it did not taste good. It was way too vinegary. And they added pickled onions that seemed to be soaked in vinegar. On top of this the chicken was lukewarm, like it had been cooked maybe half an hour previously. The cauliflower was similarly lukewarm. The flavor was ok, but not great. They served it with a white dipping sauce that I hoped would be very tasty to dip the cauliflower in, but it didn't hit the mark. The hamburger was very good and they nailed cooking the fries. I enjoyed the wedge salad, but my husband thought it was just ok. He felt the lettuce was a little wilted and he pointed out that the bacon pieces had no flavor on their own and he could only taste the chili powder it was dredged in. Also the salad had the same pickled onions on it that we didn't like on the Korean fried chicken. I wonder if they serve their older food to Happy Hour orders to get rid of it? We had planned to order dessert, but we were worried we wouldn't like it after tasting the food. So we skipped dessert.

Yelp
We made a reservation for happy hour in advance because we didn't want to miss out on the opportunity to try Breckenridge's best happy hour. But we're grateful for their flexibility in adding an additional member to the reservation. Service was super friendly, prompt, etc. everything you could ask for. Their cocktails on happy hour are also a great deal, but we also dabbled onto the full priced cocktail menu which had some really good cocktails. For food, highlights were the cauliflower, polenta, Korean fried chicken, hamachi crudo. Unfortunately, we didn't love the pork belly and all we got was fat. Looking at photos, i wonder if we just got a bad cut since the photos seem like that shouldn't be the case. The items with the pork belly was good which is why it was even more disappointing cause it had all the potential. We'll definitely tell friends to come to Aurum for HH but we may caution against the pork belly.

Yelp
As many noted, this is a great happy hour place in Breckenridge. A lot of happy hour places just cut the portion to half and call it a day but Aurum actually gives you full size portions which is great. We really enjoyed the polenta, cauliflower, crudo, burger, and cocktails. The crudo is spicy but man the seasoning on that is awesome. To be completely honest, we had high hopes for the pork belly but our entire plate was just fat. That was pretty disappointing to be honest. The Cesar salad and house rolls were also underwhelming so recommend skipping that part of HH. Cocktails were really good as well, and such a great deal on HH. Are you getting the trend that they have an amazing HH?? The sad part was we were too full for dessert but i really wanted to try the cookies. Guess we'll just have to return. Otherwise kind service and a really nice interior. Great vibes for any occasion.

Yelp
Came to this place for happy hour on a Friday evening and showed up right around 4:30. Grabbed the last few seats at the bar. Service was amazing, vibes were great and food was amazing. Happy hour was 4-6 and enjoyable to say the least. Patio dining would have been great if we had planned ahead or perhaps gotten there right when they opened. Bar was incredible though and had a great ambience. Can't wait to return next trip to Breck!

Yelp
While I do recommend this restaurant overall, I would advise AGAINST the 5 course food tasting and wine pairing. Half of our 10 person table had the food tasting and the other half ordered entrees. While most of the food and wine pairings were good, the entire tasting took over 3 hours to complete. While the other side of the table was getting main courses we were still waiting for our salads which were second courses, and it's hard to appreciate a small serving of food when it takes that long to get to you. (Disclaimer: we were warned about a time discrepancy between a regular menu order and the tasting, but the difference was too wide to be unnoticed). Because of how long the food took to get to us, my urge to eat overcame my desire to take pictures of the food. On the other hand, the other side of the table's regular menu items were great! The Korean chicken and cauliflower menu items you see featured were just as good as you would hope. I think this restaurant is out of their depth with a food tasting. Our bill came out to $169 before tip per person which included a "kitchen appreciation fee" of $4 and that just feels like a hidden fee. I would have rather ordered 6 appetizers and a few glasses of wine here.

Yelp
My wife and I came in this last Sunday evening around 5:15, and we were lucky to have been seated at the bar after only waiting for about 10 minutes. The hostess said they didn't have any tables available until 8:45, so make reservations if you can. Aurum has a decent happy hour menu, which we took advantage of. We got the rolls (which were small but only $5 on HH) and the Bibb wedge salad. The rolls were warm and the salad was fantastic. The portion size was good and it had a lot of toppings for the HH price of $8. We tried the Aurum choose your own smash, and followed with the Mountain Thyme cocktail which was perfectly balanced and tasted amazing. Amy, don't take it off the menu!!! My wife got one with mezcal and tequila that she also really enjoyed but I can't recall the name of it. We shared the culotte steak which was cooked nicely (medium rare), and the vegetables and whipped potatoes that came with it were nice as well. Finished with the fat Elvis for dessert, and I'm gonna need Aurum to package this peanut butter mousse because ya girl is obsessed! The cake part of this dessert was slightly dry, but the berry sauce and peanut butter mousse helped moisten it a bit. The flavor profile was great, can't go wrong with classic PB, chocolate, and banana! Service was lovely at the bar and the bartenders were friendly and attentive. I highly recommend Aurum for a wonderful apres-ski dining experience, but suggest reservations at this small gem of a spot! Will gladly return next time I'm in Breck!

Yelp
Restaurant in Breckenridge with great decor from the details in the wall , dim lighting to the little thing they put the bill in. At the end .I showed up with a group of 9 last minute and Cherie was our server , she was amazing , she knew everything about the menus , was cognizant of every potential allergy , and she was very nice , we enjoyed our drinks , which we ordered during happy hour and Sidney was also great as well and we were accommodated very nicely . I would suggest the chicken entree! 10 out of 10 !

Yelp
We stopped in Aurum for HH in August and felt like it was a top notch value. Had a summer smash drink and a delicious marg, both really well made. Parker House Rolls and polenta were the standouts. Salad and burger were good, not perfect but worth the money and felt high quality. Recommend for happy hour!

Yelp
We joined Aurum for their 5-course tasting menu on NYE and were super impressed! Although it came with a hefty price tag, the quality of the food and pairings was exquisite! I was also impressed when they were able to accommodate my tree nut allergy with almost every dish, and easily substituted the one dish I was not able to eat. My favorite dish was way outside of my comfort zone - but seared ahi tuna with a pea purée and wasabi foam just couldn't be beat during this menu. The service was exceptional, as expected with the quality of food and pricing. The ambiance was nice to boot, although their seating area felt pretty tight when it was packed for NYE. Make sure you make reservations as their dining area is not super large. You won't regret it for a special occasion or fancy date night out.

Yelp
Great atmosphere and mouthwatering food! The trout was hands down the best 'catch of the day' meal I've had in Breck! The fried cauliflower was delicious as well! Service was friendly and fast. This might be my new must stop by spot when I'm in town. Will be back!

Yelp
Might be Breck'a best happy hour! Make sure you arrive early, often most if not all seats are taken at 4. Excellent value at happy hour, always great service. Whether indoors or out- great vibe. They tend to have a rotating burger on happy hour- this summers was a French onion burger- a bit sweet for me, but excellent.

Yelp
Geez, after reading the recent reviews on this restaurant, I was hesitant to go. But I'm so glad we did. I can see why it's the best happy jour in town. What a steal. But we weren't there for happy hour. We opted to come later to enjoy the outdoor seating. Our service was fantastic and Tom took care of us. There was a choice of mocktails which I appreciate. Everything we ate was delicious. We opted for the crudo (so spicy and delicious), the Korean fried chicken (just do it), the burger (fantastic flavors) and a special pasta. For dessert it was the cookies (yes, yes yes!) and the Elvis (a little spicy dessert). We enjoyed our meal and unanimously agreed this was a five star experience. We are glad we didn't listen to the other reviews!! PS-to be fair, working a huge table is never fun and never turns out well. So I take these large table complaints with a groan of salt.

Yelp
Wow. I am so happy we snagged the last reservation on OpenTable for this place when we visited Breck. But don't risk a last minute reservation here like I did. This place is popular. And for good reason. The service was fantastic. And the food delicious. Definitely get the rolls. Not pictured because I gobbled them up so quickly. The Korean tartare was also very, very good. And the cocktails were unique and delicious too. I got something with gin and tequila in it, which I was skeptical about. But my drink was amazing. Although the place was hopping, the server took her time with us to answer all our questions and go through the menu. And the hostess took the time to greet us when we arrived and chat about our experience on the way out. Definitely plan to check out this place if you visit Breck.

Yelp
Great atmosphere and service, food is elevated especially in Breckinridge. Very cute and aesthetically pleasing so if you are having a girls night it's perfect. Went once for a bachelorette party and they were very accommodating and wonderful. Also, best espresso martini I've ever had!

Yelp
Had a fantastic experience for happy hour tonight. The server, Carmen, gave great recommendations and everything was excellent.

Yelp
We went for Aprés happy hour, which lasts until 6. Most in Breck end at 5, so this was great! Atmosphere and service were outstanding. Felt immediately welcomed by the hostess and the manager. The servers were very friendly and enthusiastic as well. My girlfriend and I both got bourbon smashes with the seasonal fruit, which was pear, vanilla, and cardamom. So good that we both got another! For food we ordered the happy hour cauliflower and Korean chicken. Both were excellent. The cauliflower converted her to a cauliflower believer! We set at the "community table" and had the pleasure of great conversations with two different local pairs. Would come back again and again

Yelp
Obsessed. Food. Service. Ambiance. All was a win for me! Absolutely would go back and probably have dinner every day since the menu changes daily.

Yelp
Top food destination in Breckenridge. Truly amazing experience. The gravy cured my wife's altitude sickness. 10/10. We loved the tasting menu. Service - 10 & ambiance - 10.

Yelp
Our best meal in breck! The cauliflower is amazing! And this was the best wedge salad I've ever had!

Yelp
The worker named Stewart was very rude to my peers. Stewart was accusing her of being intoxicated and aggressive. Stewart then proceeded to be racist to get by calling her Hispanic because she was "too loud".
