"Austin Beerworks sprang up during the craft beer movement of the early 2010s, but unlike other breweries that have come and gone, it’s shown no signs of slowing down. You’ll find their core beers at bars and restaurants all over town, but show up to the brewery in North Austin and you’ll be able to sample about 20 different brews and seasonal releases. It’s dog- and kid-friendly, with plenty of space for both to run around, but because it’s so spread out, you’ll never feel like you’re drinking at a daycare." - nicolai mccrary
"Set on a sprawling 64 acres off Springdale Valley in Northeast Austin, the second location of Austin Beerworks dwarfs the original taproom in North Austin by roughly 63 acres, most of which is patio/backyard. There’s an indoor taproom with all the beer, wine, and cider you could reasonably want—plus board games—but outside is a massive, shaded patio with a seemingly infinate number of picnic tables and a food truck When the weather is nice, this is the type of place where you'll want to spend an entire afternoon. And thanks to coffee, beer, food, shelter, games, and more coffee, you can." - nicolai mccrary, raphael brion, matthew jacobs
"Perhaps the most successful manifestation of craft brewing in Austin, this North Burnet brewery has moved from strength to strength mostly by doing one big thing right: understanding what Central Texas beer drinkers want. While Austin Beerworks makes all sorts of styles, the core focus on flavorful warm weather beers is best manifested in the classic Pearl Snap German pils and the Peacemaker ale, which is so crushable that it is humorously available in 99-can packs. At the taproom, there’s a workhorse food truck (Can-Tina) serving burgers, nachos, salads, and tacos, a number of experimental small batch taps, and a large seating area that remains packed most weekends. The brewery also expanded recently with a second location in Northwest Austin, which has a kid’s playground, wine and cider options, and even a small dog park. Both locations have online ordering." - Erin Russell
"Many of Austin’s breweries are open for daytime hours, and this North Burnet brewery is no exception. The taproom opens up at 11 a.m. daily, serving up its great beer lineup as well as beer-cocktails like mimosas and palomas. Find similar hours at its second taproom in Northeast Austin. There are indoor and outdoor dine-in areas." - Nadia Chaudhury
"The brewery is offering a hazy IPA called In the Path of Totality 1:36PM, in collaboration with Meanwhile Brewing and Zilker Brewing. They are also offering a golden IPA named Yellow Giant. The In the Path beer is available on April 8 or at participating retail shops; the golden IPA is available now." - Nadia Chaudhury
