"For winter, a modern dining area with wood panelling; for summer, a pretty, flower-decked patio… and all year round, simple and nicely crafted cuisine made with market ingredients – cream of cauliflower soup with pigeon, toast with offal; red mullet fillets, squash stuffed with smoked bacon and cooking juices; Suzette-style crepes with Grand Marnier. With a bit of luck, your visit will coincide with a day when the chef is making a surprise dish on the block in the middle of the dining area, before diners' eyes… a show worth seeing!" - Michelin Inspector

I ordered a set menu, and one of the appetizers are served half cooked. The prawns, imo, should be fully cooked. I let the servers know about that and they took it back to the over to continue “heat” it. After a few minutes, they came back with with two new prawns added AND also the same half cooked prawns. We also ordered a san pellegrino, which they charged €8 for a 75cl bottle. Outrageous.

The food was 'fine' but the service was horrible and that affected the food quality and experience. The homemade bread was very good. The entrées were good but we were highly upset by the main dish - Côte de Boeuf. The person who served the meat doesn't know how to cut it correctly so many pieces were super chewy, inedible. We ended up lost around 35% of the whole dish (1.5 kg). The potatoes served along the meat was too heavy and tasteless. When we complained about the main dish with a server, he just replied carelessly "Ok, I'll tell them". Until we stepped out of the restaurant, none of the staff saying 'sorry' or show us that they care about the mistake they made. The decoration is cheap and paradoxical with the elegant look that the restaurant want to present, by the way.

Delightful little restaurant that will surprise you that is located right near the Nimes Des Halles Market. We had a lovely meal there of salad and seafood starters followed by fish and boeuf for the main course and then shared a Vergne cheese course and a fig ice cream for dessert. The wine card is quite expansive for a restaurant on the smaller side and the wine recommendations were top notch. Lovely white for a starter, a nice Languedoc rouge for the main and finish with delicious rouge paired with the cheese. On our way out the door they offered us homemade treats that were absolutely divine. Excellent service, paired with a nice meal at an almost unbelievable price.

Absolute treasure! The airy-but-shaded interior patio comforts, then the service is friendly and fully knowledgeable about food and wine, then the food is astonishingly interesting, subtle, and delicious. Serious gastronomy without pretense or silly prices.

Excellent food and very kind staff even the young 15 years old trainee. Aux Plaisir des Halles took care of the 9 of us with our several intolerances (eggs, gluten and dairy free, pinuts etc.) Merci encore for your kind support and Customer service, we will come back!!!!

Very good address in nimes. Lunch menu is around 20euros and proposed different starter, main and desert option. Service is thoughtful. They have a great courtyard terasse where you feel away from the city. Dinner is also very nice. Ingredients are fresh and very often from the Halles next door (as per the name of the place :)) Which is the fresh food market nearby. A very good reliable restaurant option in Nimes for special occasions

Yelp
Wonderful to enjoy a delicious French lunch during the summer months. The food was excellent and they offer good deal on pre-fix menu. They also use Italian designer Aleissi's flatware and coffee cups. Nice touch!

Yelp
Good but something missing. Perhaps it is the decor inside. The whole experience would be at its best dining al fresco in summer.
