Yelp
Aux Vivres is the oldest vegan restaurant in Montreal; they were around since before veganism was "cool". Apart from the classic stereotypical vegan items (salads, juices, smoothies, Buddha bowls), they also make delicious vegan comfort foods, including sandwiches, burgers with fries, paratha and chapati, cornbread, mezze plates, latkes, and a wide variety of desserts such as cheesecake. They have many homemade veganized condiments as well: sour cream, mayo, butter, etc.
I had their Mexicali burrito plate, which was a whole-wheat tortilla stuffed with chili and rice, served with sour cream, guac, salsa, and a green salad. It was very tasty but a little expensive (16$), but I guess that's expected from a good-quality vegan restaurant.
Overall I'd recommend Aux Vivres if you're looking for great vegan comfort food in Montreal. Good place to bring your omnivore friends as well.
PS They have 2 locations (Westmount and Plateau) and offer delivery.
