New Restaurant and Bar Openings in Minneapolis and St. Paul in 2024 | Eater Twin Cities

"Ava brings a two-level nightlife concept to the North Loop with a cozy street-level lounge, a downstairs club channeling a classic discotheque vibe, and a menu of “American tapas” from chef Kamal Mohamed." - Justine Jones

Here Are the Twin Cities’ Most Anticipated Summer Restaurant Openings | Eater Twin Cities

"I’m looking forward to Ava, Ben Taheri’s new North Loop bar and lounge opening June 14, which presents two distinct vibes: a main-level bar with cushy lounge seating, cocktails, and small plates from StepChld chef Kamal Mohamed, and a downstairs lounge with a discotheque feel. I see it joining the North Loop’s roster of pre- and post-dinner spots alongside places like the Flora Room and Berlin." - Justine Jones

Marvel Bar - Review - North Loop - Minneapolis - The Infatuation

"Marvel Bar is located beneath The Bachelor Farmer and is a great place to head to for really good cocktails after dinner. It’s the kind of bar where drinks take five minutes to make, but they balance things out with old arcade games and by serving Cheetos so it never feels too fancy. If you’re making a night out of your trip to The Bachelor Farmer, this should definitely be your first stop after dinner." - Kyle Meehan

If you're looking for the hotspot in Minneapolis right now that's the spot. Lounge Bar on the top floor in the bar and the dance floor in the basement. Reasonable priced drinks any party mode atmosphere. I recommend to show up early this place can have long lines if you're coming late. You can celebrate with your friends by geting a private table. If you visiting Minneapolis you definitely don't want to skip this place.

Ava Night Club in Minneapolis is easily one of my new favorite spots! The interior alone sets the mood the moment you walk in stylish, modern, and super inviting. You can tell a lot of thought went into the design because the whole place feels elevated without being pretentious. Huge shoutout to Sami, one of the best bartenders I've ever had the pleasure of meeting. Friendly, quick, and always on point with the drinks seriously makes the experience even better. The rest of the staff is just as amazing, and the owners are incredibly friendly and down-to-earth, which says a lot about why the vibe here is so good. If you head downstairs, be ready it gets packed, but in the best way. The dancing is nonstop, and it’s the perfect spot if you’re looking for a night out. Overall, Ava is a must-visit. Great atmosphere, excellent staff, and an all-around memorable experience every time

My friends and I were out celebrating my friends birthday and we decided to check out AVA. So glad we did because we had the best time! The staff were all so friendly and the drinks were delicious and unique. The space is beautifully decorated. Downstairs was a cool dance area and the DJ was awesome! Was the highlight of the night and we can’t wait to go back!

I went here friday night for halloween and got a drink for $15. I checked my account last night and I have a $100 charge from ava’s and my card is missing. I thought it was a mix up at first but after reading all these other reviews I’m pretty sure they charged my card $100. Definitely never coming back

Ryan, Travis, and Derrick – thank you guys for an incredible Halloween 2025! You went above and beyond setting up our table, and Erin and I truly appreciated everything you did to make the night special. The experience was absolutely worth every penny – honestly the best Halloween I’ve ever had. Thanks again!

Google
Ava had an atmosphere that is elevated and chic, and the service is always fast and friendly. Sal and Stephen handle the rush like pros, the bartender downstairs, Ali, not only keeps the line moving, but puts on a fantastic show while doing it, and Brian at the door is one of the kindest, most respectful bouncers, especially toward women. Truly the best club experience!

This place has a beautiful esthetic, cozy, but large enough. My first experience in the establishment was for a networking event. The setup was nice, bartenders seemed friendly, the various rooms were quite different, and they had personalities of their own. I can not speak to the food experience because it was not bring served for this event. Because of its location in North Loop, the parking options are quite limited. I would patron again, but would use a ride share or plan on a leisurely long walk.

I went out to Ava with my girlfriends last weekend and we all had a BLAST! Josh the bartender was wonderful. The disco balls are such a fun touch and the DJ played great music. Highly recommend.

Yelp
They make awesome cocktails here. I was impressed with how fast the bartenders were moving. They bartenders were making all type of unique drinks. One of the drinks was an espresso martinis. They actually put two beans on top. The beans floated to the top like a happy child on an inter-tube in a water park.

Yelp
This was my first time going out in Minneapolis, and it'd been a while since my local friend had. I was recommended this bar by commenters on Reddit who sounded adamant that this is the vibe I was looking for. I used to live in Atlanta, currently live in Austin, and have experienced nightlife in Nashville/Savannah/Miami. Thus, my expectations were sky high. Based on my research it appears the Twin Cities have limited options compared to the above 5 cities. And promising options like "Fool Me Once" were listed as already closed. There was a short line outside & it was chilly so I couldn't wait to be let in. There was no cover which usually means expensive drinks and that's exactly the case ($13-$14 per shot). The main floor was quite empty when we arrived around 11:30pm so I made a beeline for the basement hidden behind the bar, which I didn't see until I posed for my neon sign photo. Downstairs there is another bar to the right when you are at the foot of the stairs, and the famous disco room is to your left. We went on Saturday night and it was packed to the brim! I moseyed my way up to the DJ booth but it was annoying having to jostle the vacant & occupied VIP tables. My friend and I danced a little but left within an hour because it was so stuffy. But you know, that reminded me of a similar basement at Dark Horse Tavern in Atlanta where I used to go almost every weekend.

Yelp
Super fun dance club downstairs and you WILL be waiting in line on a weekend night so be prepared. But it's a great disco vibe with good music. Drinks are easy to get despite the business. You can reserve a lounge table ahead which would definitely be smart for a bigger party of people

Yelp
Ava just opened and is a fun new bar to sip cocktails at! They had bar seating with booths, couches, and chairs as well. It has the vibe of "new, hip, expensive" bar on the block. Their drink menu was kind of expensive and limited, but most places downtown are nowadays. They had fun lighting and even a DJ when we went on a Thursday night!

Yelp
Small but a cool bar to check out! I like that they had a DJ going. Drinks are pricey but that's to be expected downtown.

Yelp
wet unprofessional staff outside the door turning people say due to to a "dress code" that others can violate. Inside staff also very confrontational waited over an hour after i ordered to get my drink and every time i asked an ETA i was met with rude comments. Just horrible customer service in general. the bouncers outside let white piper in with the same outfits on as the black people they didn't let it.

Yelp
PSA: watch your bill- apparently the bartenders hope you won't notice or say anything while they overcharge you quite significantly for drinks- this practice has been ongoing with the owners knowledge, yet continues. They count on you not noticing/ being tipsy, and don't give to bill or itemize. Be careful. Or just a oid this place altogether.

Yelp
Bald bartender with beard is absolutely horrible. Literally stealing money from people's cards and being aggressive with the women. Almost got into a fight over my drinks I paid for and proceeded to stick his fingers in my drink because I didn't tip.
