It’s clear the team here cares deeply about creating a memorable dining experience. The food was phenomenal, but the standout for me was the ribeye—truly one of the best I’ve had in my life. Cooked to perfection, incredibly tender, and packed with flavor, it’s a dish I’ll be thinking about for a long time. The pasta and appetizers were equally impressive, with fresh ingredients and rich, authentic flavors in every bite. Yes, it’s on the pricier side—but it’s worth every penny. If you’re looking for a high-quality Italian meal that delivers across the board, Avanzare is the place. Highly recommended.

Dined here for a friends birthday. We had 12 people total. It was quite loud the night we went so it was a little hard to hear the waiter. The food was absolutely delicious. My dish had pesto mashed potatoes which were an interesting shade of green. The chocolate lava dessert was scrumptious. I was expecting it to be kind of like Chili’s similar dessert, it was not. This was so much better. I would go back just for that. It was a busy night and our server seemed to be getting flustered with our tickets. A few were wrong and he did get them fixed for us. All it all, I would go back.

This place was everything you want in Italian fine dining! Exceptional food and the restaurant is stunning. I had the lobster ravioli with sautéed shrimp in a spicy red sauce with a hint of cream. Yum! Started my meal with caprese with balsamic reduction. And my waitress Anna R was just delightful, attentive and very knowledgeable. Plus you can't beat the pesto butter with warm bread brought to the table. Highly recommend!

There is no better service in town! Always friendly and always spectacular. And the food is amazing with giant servings. Hands down my favorite Italian place in Springfield. We almost always get one of the specials as they are always fire and unique. Took my mom and dad here for mothers day and they are in love (and my dad's kind of a picky eater 🙃).

We were in town and I looked up fine dining and found this place. There are so many reviews saying negative things about this place, there’s plenty of good also but I can’t figure out why someone wouldn’t like this place. It is open concept so I can’t figure see how it might get a lil loud but it’s a bustling restaurant and ppl are enjoying themselves, laughing, talking and having a good time, ya it’s gonna get a lil loud but it was nothing that would ever bother me. I did notice the staff was standing around a lot like one of the reviews said but they were standing at the kitchen window waiting on orders like they’re supposed to do. It’s funny bc I noticed everything I read in the bad reviews and every single one of them was something you see at any restaurant. I’m guessing the ppl that wrote these reviews aren’t pleased very easy and might be a “Karen/Kyle” lol. I just thought it needed to be said bc we had a great time at Avanzare’s, we had dinner and left completely satisfied. It’s a really nice beautiful building, the staff was great and never left us needing a single thing at anytime. I’ve traveled a lot and Avanzare’s has become one of my favorites places. We had the Veal and the Giant meatball special, the Veal was delicious and perfectly cooked. My wife got the meatball and I had regrets not getting it myself. It was incredible, I could eat that everyday. We also had the crème brûlée and the Italian lemon cake which both were also delicious. Even their sweet tea was excellent. I can’t imagine why someone wouldn’t like this place. I hope ppl read my book I just wrote and ignore the haters and try this place bc you will not be disappointed. To the ppl that didn’t like this place I pity you bc you don’t have tastebuds lol.

The food was delicious, and I had a wonderful time with my partner. I had made a reservation for 7:30, and while it took a bit longer to be seated and get our food due to how busy they were, the experience was well worth the wait. Our server was outstanding—when I ordered a drink I didn’t care for, he promptly replaced it with a different one without any hesitation.

Our dream of a fine dining Italian Restaurant in the Ozarks has been fulfilled. We just finished our 38th Anniversary dinner this evening and we're now wondering why we hadn't been there before today. To say we were impressed is the understatement of the year. Our entire experience was over the top excellent. The restaurant is elegantly decorated with ample room to navigate even during crowded times. The lighting and music provided an atmosphere that allowed both intimate conversations between couples and large groups. The wait staff were all both professional and personable. Josie, our server, was a delight and provided today's list of delicious specials. We started with the Crabcake for the antipasta. The portion was very generous and it was so good we cleaned the plate. For the main course we chose the Filetto Al Porcini and the Bistecca Rosemarino. Both were very generous portions and cooked to perfection. The steaks and the accompanying side dishes were so flavorful that we forced ourselves to save room for dessert. Ahh dessert... it was a apple/cinnamon on a puff pastry, with creme brulie in the middle. Served with a scoop of cinnamon vanilla ice-cream. We were scaping the plate to get every last part. It was that good. Yum. All during and after dinner we continued to laud how much we loved this restaurant, the food and the service. 5 stars all around.

I recently had dinner here for a business meeting and was impressed with the experience. The food was great, the service was top notch and the overall ambiance of the restaurant is very fitting for a higher end Italian restaurant. I started with a Caesar salad, with fresh crisp romaine, a perfectly light Caesar dressing and freshly greased Parmesan cheese. For my entree I had the Chicken Masala, the wine and mushroom was decadent and one of the best over a juicy tender chicken breast and perfectly made mashed potatoes. This was all washed down with a Negroni Bianco. Overall it was a tasty meal in a great setting with excellent service. I'd check them out again for sure.

Tony Tone Toni has done it again! I had prosecco and a few glasses of red wine thanks to Tony! I had the crab cake app and the rigatoni and pecan shrimp dish. Fire. So so happy to see this hardworking business owner be blessed with such a beautiful restaurant. Gorgeous open atmosphere and a packed parking lot. Way to go, Tony and Co! Cant wait to come see you and Allen at the bar again next month!

Avanzare: Underwhelming & Unimpressive. Yes, people go here and act like it's all that. But too, we're in Spfd Mo...and people think Olive Garden is some great Italian meal. lol...come on...lol. If this is what Avanzare is, after moving into their new building...I can assure you...I will (not) darken the door again. Calamari: no seasoning on the fry and tasted mostly like flour. Calamari delivered to the table fairly ice cold...and it's a fried dish. $14 Filet: An ok cut of beef. But...not seasoned hardly at all. Whole sage leaves atop the steak...stems and all to pick off. The new potatoes tasted way way earthy....and only about 1/2 way cooked. The asparagus was of a good quality...but not seasoned much. Price: $52 I believe. Ribeye: again, a decent enough cut of beef. Failed in fully executing on a great flavor profile. Gorgonzola cheese topper was good. $46 Oh, the service or attention to detail: Orders (2) salads in the table. Did we ever receive? Nope. Notta. And the place wasn't even that busy on this night. You want a good Italian place for Spfd?: Bruno's downtown. Nicola's on the east side. Either one of these places...dwarfs this new rendition of Avanzare. 3 stars is a gift rating for this place and tonight's performance.

Took my mom last night to celebrate her birthday. It was first time for her and I. I left with no regrets of choosing this restaurant to take her to. She and I both loved the food. Everything had so much flavor. I think we both agreed that this place has the best Tiramisu we have ever tried! Server was exceptional, can't remember his name, but he was a Spanish speaking gentleman. Everything was amazing and worth trying. We were very satisfied with the service.

Always 5 Star but tonight they took our orders of Lasagnas saying after we specifically ask are you sure you have enough as they make this special and said "OH YEAH WE HAVE COPIUS AMOUNTS" and yet they come back 20 minutes later and say "you're not gonna believe this" with a fake smile on their face "we ran out and only have the one serving!" What a disappointment this always happens here! Best dish on the menu and they always run out

I have a business dinner here about every month. The bar area is great and they pour a good drink. The Sea Bass seems to be on the menu quite often as a special and it is delicious. Service is attentive, but not overbearing.

Working in Springfield from out of town. Was very happy with Avanzare. The ambience was nice, service was great and everything we ordered was superb. Unfortunately did not get a picture of the caprese salad (allowed to order half salads which I love) or the bread (probably because it was so good we ate it too fast). The bread offerings were sourdough and focaccia. For my main course pictured below I got the filet with a bed of Parmesan risotto & veggies. Steak was cooked perfectly and I have no complaints!

Loved it! We had wine, salads, entrees, and dessert. Everything was a treat from start to finish. Our server was calm and collected and provided excellent service the entire time. I had the Rigatoni Alla Tony and my date had the steak tips special -- both were delicious. The steak was absolutely melt in your mouth perfection. We both had a caprese salad, and shared a delicious creme brûlée for dessert. An expensive choice for a night out, but we felt it was worth the cost.

Popped into this establishment's new location on Fremont and we were not disappointed. We had fantastic service and tried many delicious dishes, including the shrimp appetizer the lasagna special and the chicken Parmesan -fantastic cocktails as well. I highly recommend checking this one out for elevated Italian food in Springfield.

Restaurant is part of a strip mall. Plenty of parking. The service was excellent and that's what brought it up to 4 stars. The restaurant is loud, we were seated in the back room with a TV and it was nice and not so loud! Started with complimentary bread with pesto or butter and oil in the table. Solid start. The bruschetta was very good. Bright, fresh, refreshing. I had the rigatoni minus the chili flakes. Rigatoni was good, not the best ever, perhaps due to not having the chili flakes. Well made. Fresh ingredients. The flavor was solid but nothing stood out. I kept the leftovers and it made for a nice lunch the next day. Good portion sizes. It was a nice meal, if looking for Italian in the area, had a good variety of options, especially if one doesn't eat pasta.

We have always experienced great service and great food here. A little loud...looking forward to seeing if it will be the same at their new location. We had reservations but waited around 15 minutes as several tables were lingering. Love the bread and butter/oil & balsamic they bring to the table. Was impressed to see they were sourcing their olive oil from a local vendor, Tantara Farms. Will have to check out their store. Everything we ordered was cooked perfectly and top notch.

Wow! Avanzare Italian Dinning never fails to amaze me. We first went to the old address and realized the establishment had moved; at that time we then called to reserve a table. When we arrived the transformation of what and where the old place use to be at in a strip mall to a stand alone restaurant was absolutely astonishing. The interior has a feel of elegance but yet welcoming. And there are various rooms for patrons to gather. One of the other noticeable change is the restroom; there is more than one stall. Of all the staff who made our dining experience memorable Zach was on point as was the food. He was friendly, courteous and extremely good at his job. Aside from all that the main reason for seeking out this new location was chef Tony's cooking; we enjoyed it at the old location and we really relished it at this location.

I really wanted to give the new Avanzare location 5 stars, but simply couldn't. We went in November for our 30th anniversary. NOT the place for a cozy, romantic dinner. We couldn't even have a conversation. I've seen so many reviews about this and should have heeded them. I couldn't imagine having a group dinner there. It almost had a neighborhood pub vibe. Another couple came in behind us and were seated somewhat close to us and they ended up getting up and leaving. Had we not already ordered, we would have too. My husband had the meatball and I had Pollo Salata. Both were excellent and service was also above average. But I can't get past the atmosphere. We left immediately after we finished our dinner. Whoever did the market research and design for this fine dining space completely missed the mark. Probably won't return.

Despite not having meatballs, Avanzare delivered an awesome dining experience. The rib eye (cut by Chef Tony) was perfectly cooked and delectable. I don't say that often about steak. But this was primo steak. Since the drinks were flowing, I skipped the dessert. Startling, this restaurant is located in a strip mall between a dispensary and novelty store for an amorous night in. Supposedly, they are moving soon.

My understanding is that the owners of the restaurant are going to soon be changing locations. This restaurant is in the middle of a strip mall. I went with a party of 4, we had a reservation and were promptly seated. The restaurant was very very loud. This is likely just because there were a lot of people in a small space. It made it hard to hear conversation at our table. So overall atmosphere was 3 stars. Service was top notch my drink was never empty and the waiter gave great advice on menu selections. 5 stars for service. As a fair disclaimer I'm not a huge fan of Italian that being said the lobster ravioli and tortellini prosciutto were crazy good. The portions very fair. Price was a touch high. Food was definitely 5 stars.

This is a late review post happened about a month ago. I was born and raised in Branson Missouri but lived in Springfield for 4 years before moving to Miami in 2017. I went home for my best friend's wedding but we also brought many of our new friends back home with us and for those who don't know Miami is very international. There was Japanese, Italians, Venezuelans, Ecuadorians, Colombians, ect. We talked up Avanzare the entire trip and many were very excited to eat here but at this time my wife was 35 weeks pregnant and very exhausted from the wedding. So she felt more comfortable if we ordered togo and stayed nicely nested at my friend's home. At first I won't lie it wasn't a good experience on the phone when talking with host. No name, no thank you for calling Avanzare how can I help you, no knowledge of the specials but after that we ask if we can order togo which was followed by a no. I was aggravated so I said thank you and ended the phone call. In my mind I thought what a let down because this was the one place back home I wanted my wife and friends to enjoy but I took a moment since I was determined to make this happen. I called back and asked to speak with manger. I explained my story with her (can't remember her name but I believe she was named after one of the dishes that my wife ordered) she then explained why they weren't doing togo orders since they have recently reopened and are still in the process of fixing loose ends. Still she offered me to come in at the bar and order togo but then explained even deeper to me they weren't fully equipped or prepared for togo orders and which was the main reason of not taking them because they want to up hold there standards of serving quality food. I gotta say honestly the food was 10 out of 10. I have worked in this industry for more than 15 years and getting told no so many time or having a bad experience is not the best but what really turned it around was how to resolve and recover the guest experience which was done flawlessly and professionally. Also the bar manger that took my order and prepared it perfectly huge shout out!

I feel like people will start thinking I only know how to give 5 star reviews, but honestly, the options we have these days in Springfield are getting better and better! Anyway, We tried Avanzare when they were in the strip mall a few years ago and it was wonderful, but quite loud and a bit on the pricier side. My hubby and I decided it'd be a place to go when we wanted traditional Italian with a modern twist but didn't mind paying. Last month we tried the new location and the ambiance is beautiful. The decor now matches their marvelous food and service. This time around we found the prices to be much more reasonable also. This is a great date night spot with fabulous food, excellent service and beautiful ambiance. The price is a tad higher than the more casual Italian in the area, but its well worth the price.

Horrific! Worst experience we've had dining anywhere in Springfield. From the hostess to server we were an afterthought. We had to ask for a wine list. Wine we wanted-which was featured- was out of stock-server said cause it's a bigger restaurant they needed to get more wine. We ordered food finally-after sitting nearly 30 min. Ordered a salad asked for pepper and salt, never came until we asked again at end of the course. Got bread, and sat.... Finally after waiting over 1 1/2 hours from seating we asked for a ticket and paid for wine and salads and left as we had tickets for an event. Ambiance is ok. Very loud. Service is non existent. Save your money.

I disagree with the rating that gave Avanzare the "fourth best" dining experience in Springfield. The new location gave the restaurant more space, which it needed. The food is OK, not great, and the portions are miniscule--I would say the food is highly overpriced for what you get. But the worst thing is the ambiance. The restaurant is noisy, clattery, and not a relaxing fine dining experience. I was happy to get out of there. I don't think I"ll be going back--there are many more wonderful restaurants in Springfield that have excellent food, appropriately priced, and provide a relaxed dining experience.

Had a reservation but it took them 15 extra minutes to seat us, which wasn't even in the dinning room. Restaurant was packed, and our server was running around like a chicken with their head cut off. If I'm paying $50 a plate, I expect to at least be seated during when my reservation was made, and be seen by my server more than 3 times in a night. It's hard for me to want to put blame on the server when they are clearly biting off more than they can chew. A nice restaurant should be able to understand how much business they can handle with the amount of staff they have employed. What upsets me even more though? The fact the food wasn't even that good... especially not for the price. I'll just go to Olive Garden next time.

First visit and we were immediately surprised how large the restaurant was, because the Stor front is not at all telling. We wouldn't of even ventured in if it weren't for friends praising it I now will praise it too We shared the rack of lamb along with 2 insalata alla Tony replacing mixed greens and spinach for romaine ( personal preference ) Our server Roy was very accommodating and accurate on our said desires and served us well. We also enjoyed some nice glasses of wine Well - looks like we will be returning!

The food last night was outstanding!! Our server was great. What would have otherwise been an absolutely lovely dining experience was so disappointing due to the noisy environment. We quit going to the Glenstone location because the noise prevented conversation and couldn't wait to visit the new location in hopes of a more intimate environment. Despite being a Monday night it was so loud we truly struggled to hear across our table. This is not a typical problem. The dining area is big and the tables spread a very reasonable distance apart. They desperately need to add some barriers to control sound. Do most people need to see every person dining in the restaurant? It would not be my choice for a special date as the setting more resembles a cafeteria. Our last criticism was our booth. It was so far from the table that both ladies in our two couples had to perch on the edge of our seats to reach the table. Even the husbands felt too far away to be comfortable. Sadly, these are things that must improve to make Avanzare our 'go to' restaurant, even though we truly believe it offers the best food for fine dining in town.

We have been to the other restaurant when it was in the shopping center, and always had a good if not great meal. This weekend was the first time we went to the new restaurant, and my wife and I both left disappointed. Noise in the restaurant was very loud. We really couldn't carry a conversation in there, so for a couple going on a date it's a bad idea. Service was fine, no complaints. Food was not of the quality we enjoyed at the old restaurant. I asked for a steak cooked medium, it came to the table rare. My wife had salmon, and it was just ok. I know this place can and has put out better food, I hope to try it again and have a better experience.

Avanzare Review: We had a reservation at 7:00 and were seated promptly. At 7:50 our server came over and apologized for the delay with our food--and said it would be right out. We were kind and said no worries. We didn't see him again. At 8:33, my husband went and spoke to manager--who was NOT helpful, no apology of any kind--she has horrible service recovery skills. Finally, our food arrived at 8:48 (one hour and 48 minutes after being seated). Our server offered 2 free desserts for "the delay". We declined as we were there celebrating a birthday and had cake at home. Server came back, took our credit card, brought it back with no signature receipt but, didn't say a single word--confused we went back to our server and said we need a credit card receipt to sign, we didn't want to leave without paying. Some man, maybe the owner, grabbed the bill from my hand and said your dinner is on me. I thanked him & we left. We were in the restaurant for 2 1/2 hours--not by choice. We saw people arrive, eat and leave before we even received our food. The offer of 2 free desserts was an insult. Two entrees were luke warm the other 2 were ok. Overall very disappointing experience. An apology and comping one entree would have been an easy fix--but, the lack of attention from the manager after we brought it to her was unacceptable. We won't be back and we will definitely share our negative experience with others. Literally ruined an evening that was meant to be a fun evening of celebration. Yes, in the end our meals were comped (which we didn't expect) but, appreciated hence the 2 stars. However, the way it all went down was frustrating. Two thumbs down!

Excellent food, especially the short rib, ravioli, and the staff is incredibly kind. I would recommend this restaurant all day long. Definitely the best Italian in town.

I do not believe this place is as good as it is. The ambience that this restaurant gives is of a chain restaurant. For the price as well, I don't believe that is right either. We also had weird service. The server only came to us to take our order, serve us our food and give us our drinks. Oh and the food was MID. Overall, it was a chilis experience.

Hard to find a good Alfredo but this place has it. The outside looks like a Mexican restaurant so it makes the inside surprising.

My FAVORITE restaurant in the country. Not kidding. Yes it's an Italian place, but you've GOT to try their steaks' I recommend the fillets parmigiana. It's otherworldly. Chef Tony is wonderful at what he does. They are moving into their new location and I'm looking forward to seeing what's new and improved.

Don't let the strip mall location deter you - this is a nicer, upscale Italian restaurant than the exterior leads you to believe. Was it the best Italian food I've ever had? No, but it was delicious and comforting all the same. We started with the Crabcake Ravioli. Ahhhhh, two of my favorite things rolled into one! This was crab stuffed ravioli tossed in a buttered cream sauce (might've been a bit mushroom-y?) and with a touch of marinara on top. You get two BIG raviolis. Very good starter. And then I needed to take that ravioli thing to the next level. I chose the Short Rib Ravioli as my entree. Tossed in a heavenly mushroom marsala .... ugh, so good! Also, very filling. Carbs = love, y'all! Hubby chose the Filetto al Porcini, which is a filet mignon crusted with gorgonzola topped with mushrooms and butter sauce sitting on top of a parmesan risotto. It is the trifecta of goodness. He really enjoyed it. Overall, this was a great meal. The restaurant itself is long and narrow, but nicely appointed. Dim lighting for romance (lol). Excellent wait staff. We'd definitely go again.
