Family‑run since the early 1980s, Aventino’s remains a west‑side classic for veal piccata, baked pastas, and gracious service. Fort Worth Magazine has chronicled its multigenerational story, and locals still book it for intimate celebrations.

They are the best at what they do! Good service and drinks are all top tier! We had our rehearsal dinner here and have come back every time we are in town. Taja was fantastic and so helpful tonight!!

Samantha Dailey

Google
Dinner was incredible and the service was just as impressive. Samantha took great care of us. We loved the carpaccio to start, and the sea bass, salmon fettuccine, and chicken cacciatore were all outstanding. Highly recommend!

Google
Small authentic Italian. TAJ gave us excellent service. The kitchen does get back up so don’t be in a hurry, the wait is well worth it. We had an appetizer and a bottle of wine bringing the bill to $129.

Google
Very quaint and romantic. They had already gotten our table ready for us before our arrival. The servers were very attentive especially Sydni! Best Amaretto sour I’ve ever had.

Michelle Myers

Google
The atmosphere, service and quality of food was outstanding. Our server was Sydni and she was great!!! Started off with a lemoncello martini. It was light and crispy. For an appetizer we did the 3 meatballs. Dinner followed with the tortellini Aventino and for desert…the delectable tiramisu. Will def be back!

Google
We had not visited Aventino's since they had moved to their current location quite some time ago. We were celebrating our anniversary so wanted to be in a nice place. It certainly met that criteria. Reservations are encouraged, and easily done online. We arrived a bit early, but were still seated promptly at a nice corner table. Our waitress was very well informed on the menu items, and got our orders efficiently. It had the tortillini Aventino's, a house specially. It was great with a blend of flavors in an Alfredo sauce that worked well together well. The serving was sufficient for me to take some for lunch the next day. My wife had shrimp scampi with a side of spaghetti with tomato sauce. The portion was a bit smaller, but sufficient for her. A very nice meal for our celebration.

Google
Our server, Samantha, was amazing! She's very knowledgeable with the wine selection and helped me pick out a great white wine for dinner. The food was fresh and tasty as well. 10/10 all around

Google
Dropped by to try a new place. We didn't have a reservation but they got in our party of 4. Lulu, our server helped me make a decision as i was torn. I chose the chicken scalloppine and ordered garlic bread for the table. The entrees came with a salad which was served with the most amazing vinaigrette. My chicken portion was substantial, served on pasta and very good. Lulu was helpful, friendly, and attentive to empty water glasses, empty dishes, and any needs. Food was delicious, service amazing, and atmosphere relaxing. We'll be back.

Yelp
Cozy and warm atmosphere. Dark and romantic, a perfect date night spot. It's a hidden little gem in a tucked away shopping strip. You'll be happy you found it and surprised at what you see when the door opens. Might want to call for a reservation. Food was great it's a definite try if you like Italian food. I'll get some photos next time. This was a visit with family and my nephew stole she show for the evening.

Yelp
Service was quick and the food was solid, nothing extraordinary, but good. The entrée came with a house salad and a slice of garlic bread. If you're having trouble deciding, the menu has helpful markers to guide your choice.

Yelp
Husband and I are starting alphabet date night with a solid A restaurant. It's a quaint restaurant right off of Camp Bowie. Yelp says it's an Italian restaurant with seafood offerings, but the only seafood on their menu were salmon and shrimp. I wouldn't come here if you're looking for linguine with mussels or a cioppino. We didn't have any reservations, but we pretty much got sat immediately by one of the servers. As soon as we sat down, our server, Sydney, came by with two glasses of water. Throughout the night she made sure our glasses were full and was just a pleasant person all around. I really liked her. Food was pretty good. Can't complain. Husband and I got recommended items on the menu. Although it was good, I felt like I could've made the Ziti Umbriana at home. The carpaccio wasn't bad either. I think the garlic bread took away from the meat because all I could taste was garlic bread, which btw was delicious. I had a little bit of my husband's chicken cacciatore. The sauce was excellent! I'd come back and try some other stuff.

Yelp
Yes, I'm behind on my reviews, but I keep copious notes to remind me of the details the visit and the dining experience. First off, my wife and I've been dining at Aventinos for decades. We love the restaurant, the phenomenal food and the superior service. Aventino's has never disappointed us. Our visit, one of the busiest days at a restaurant, was on Valentine's Day. It's a very special day for couples to go out to eat. Many restaurants roll out special prix fixe menus for a special dining experience. When we learned that Aventinos was staying with their standard menu, which we love, I booked our reservations in a heartbeat early. I am glad I did because they were sold out for the day. I'm not against prix fixe menus for special occasions, but sometimes the prices are so expensive. My wife and I arrived at our scheduled reservation. It was wonderful to be back in their serene atmosphere with the music playing quietly in the background. Aventinos has a wonderful ambience, the venue is so inviting for its patrons. Our table was ready, they already had a chair pulled out since I am in a wheelchair. I had noted that when making our reservation. Just as a sidenote, we are very close friends with the owners, Erica and Chris. They know, I'd never sugar-coat or whitewash a Yelp review in favor or the restaurant when it wasn't deserved. After being seated and getting to say hi to Erica, our server took our drink orders. We chose a glass of our favorite wines and ordered our favorite entrees. Unfortunately, we rarely vary what we order. My wife LOVES Aventino's incredible lasagna, and I LOVE their Chicken Scallopini (aka Chicken Piccata). I like anything that has lemon in it! Our wine arrived so we did a toast to Valentine's Day. Our incredible house salads following our wine. We also ordered a basket of garlic bread. It was SO good. Aventinos signature salad dressing is so good, you just want to drink it. I believe its red wine vinegar based, but that's it. Their salads are the perfect size and served on a cold plate. What a wonderful way to start our celebratory dinner. After a short wait our entrees arrived, and they were absolutely perfect. If I could jump into my plate of Chicken Scallopini, I would have, it was SO delicious. As my wife was devouring her lasagna, not a word was being said. She finally said, "I have a VERY happy pallet and tummy! I am so glad we came here for Valentine's Day." I knew I had hit a homerun. We didn't have dessert since we had a red velvet cake at home to top the night off with. Erica and Chris, thank you for the wonderful evening. You've never failed us. We'll see you again soon.

Yelp
We expected it to be very good after hearing so many good thins, and it was pretty decent. It's a small dining area with dim lighting, so very romantic. We ordered the meatballs, the Chicken Frances and Ravioli Carciofi. The meatballs had a nice flavor to them and the sauce was nice, but nothin spectacular and they didn't hold their shape much. The bread served with the salad and meatballs was very enjoyable! The Chicken Frances was okay, not much flavor to the chicken. I was very excited about the Ravioli Carciofi but besides the artichokes and the cheese in the ravioli themselves, also not much flavor. Our service was very good as first (we were the only ones in there) but we honestly didn't see our server much after a second table came in. I might give this place another shot and see if it's better next time. Will keep yall posted!

Yelp
Super friendly staff and cozy environment. The drinks were good along with the salad and garlic bread. Sadly, the pasta was not great. The carbonara had a very nasty aftertaste and lacked any flavor even when adding salt and pepper. My friend had the pesto pasta with chicken and the pesto had a good flavor, just lacked salt. The chicken was cooked well just had no flavor. Very disappointed overall in the entrees.
google avatar

Liz G.

Yelp
There's nothing quite like a family-run Italian restaurant that makes you feel welcome and soul-fed. Tonight was our second visit, and we both tried new things. They made my spaghetti Carbonara with green peas like I love it and hubby had the Tortellini Rosa and thoroughly enjoyed it. Last visit, I had the lasagne - which was really special. And their house salad with that homemade dressing is just sheer perfection.

Yelp
While the food and server were both good, we did not appreciate being "chased" off our table by the hostess. Yes, we were there longer than the 90 minutes they allowed for Valentines Day, but that was pretty much due to our waitress being slow to bring our check for signing. It would have been more considerate of the hostess to ask our waitress if she knew why we were late leaving our table, rather than coming over to me and telling me that she had a couple waiting for our table and that we were there longer than allowed. Especially since there was an open table for two less than 10 feet from our table with no one waiting for that one. We will not be returning to this restaurant, especially on a holiday where they limit your table time. I hate being rushed for any reason while dining at a restaurant.

Yelp
The food portion was perfect! Usual Italian restaurants have such huge portions I always feel bloated and can't finish my food, then the leftovers don't really heat up that well the next day so I was super happy for how they portioned the food. The Alfredo sauce so creamy and good! It was everything I was craving for and the atmosphere was very romantic and dark. The service was friendly and not too clingy but not too distant. 10/10 recommend!

Cyndy E.

Yelp
I found it odd that the restaurant serves only their own very sweet dressing on their house salad. Really? Our last visit was lovely, sedate and romantic. This time it was very busy and LOUD. Good for them to be busy but took the bloom off the rose for us. His scallopini was not at all flavorful. Our server Lulu continues to provide nice service. .

Yelp
Well we were over to Fort Worth for a Kieth Urban concert at Dickies and searched this gem out on Yelp. 3rd generation cook in the family and boy does he know how to cook. This is a small intimate family run restaurant that takes reservations. We started with the beef carpaccio which came with some fresh garlic bread and it was so delicious . Then came a house salad served on cold plates and red wine vinegar depressing. For our entrees I had the lasagna and my DH had the veal Florentine. Our server Sydney is just the best and helped us decide which veal to choose. The veal was tender and served with house made angel hair and marinara sauce. We are telling all our Dallas friends if you are headed to Fort Worth for dinner - set your Waze to this address for dinner and then take the back way to Dickies arena for a 10 out of 10 date night !!

Liz Z.

Yelp
This place has been here for a long time and there's a reason why. Quality Italian food, consistent, and friendly staff. Upscale hole in the wall restaurant. Chicken scallopine is my favorite dish! You can't go wrong with anything on their menu
google avatar

Cyndy E.

Yelp
We had a wonderful meal at Aventinos. He got the pasta and I got manicotti. The manicotti was wonderful! Hot, hot, and so cheesy. It's a baked dish, of course, and stays delightfully hot as you try to work your way through it. i tried, but had to bring some home. His pasta was cooked al dente , just the way he likes it, and spiced with garlic, basil, pine nuts and cheese. We each had wine and a side salad which comes with just the house dressing, no substitutions. We left feeling full and pampered in this lovely setting.

Yelp
Let me first start out by saying the service and server was great. The bread was cold 1/5, the salad was too tart 1/5, and the lasagna which was apparently a top pick here at this establishment 2/5. The restaurant was clean and only has indoor seating. They have unsweetened tea with sweetener packs and they have canned soda. Overall I would sadly not recommend this establishment. My total was around for $23.00 plus tip

Yelp
Aventino's Service: Their Server Samantha was pathetic. I asked for a straw to drink ice water. She said let me look, then she looked around in the air and on the ground and said "I don't see any." I suggested she look in the kitchen or back where they'd normally keep straws, and from our table, 50 feet away, she looked at the kitchen and repeated:"I don't see any straws there either." I went to my truck and retrieved a straw from the glove box. Her behavior was Insulting & childish. Aventino's is Not recommended. Lousy service.

Yelp
Aventino's was a little Italian spot my girlfriend and two of our friends decided to go to for dinner. I don't really have much to say about this spot except that it was a small mom and pop style shop with decent food. The Ravioli Carciofi was okay. The cheese inside had decent flavor but I will see the mushrooms were delightful. The pesto sauce had some flavor but wasn't very bold. My girlfriend's alfredo I thought tasted kind of bland. We also ordered 2 orders of the garlic bread which we thought almost tasted like a Walmart brand even though it had obvious garlic bits on top. The waitress was alright but when I asked for her best recommendations she gave me 7 separate choices which I felt didn't give me a good understanding and feel of what the restaurant had to offer. Overall, not bad, but I think the overall experience could be better.

Yelp
We enjoyed Aventinos. Nice family owned, small Italian restaurant. Service was great and we enjoyed our meals.

Richard R.

Yelp
This place came highly recommended by friends. We tried it out and we were not disappointed. The Focaccia Mozzarella was an awesome starter and I can strongly recommend the Salmon Fettuccini. Great food, clean restaurant, very quiet and perfect for dinner and conversation. Staff were pleasing and helpful. We will be back!!

Nils H.

Yelp
Food and service is excellent with local easy local access. Highly recommend but make a reservation.

Yelp
Had this place bookmarked for a while. Finally went for a date night. Should have gone sooner. Very enjoyable meal- spinach cheese soup, meatballs, salads, garlic bread, eggplant parmesan, shrimp scampi and a few glasses of wine. $100. Service matched and gave good recommendations. Dark lit, candles, Italian music playing makes for good evening! Tomato sauce is superb. Be careful of the first bit- food is served piping hot!

Barbara S.

Yelp
As a second generation San Francisco girl, and growing up in the city, anyone who knows San Francisco and the fine dining we have there, I was totally blown away with the meal I had. Recently moved from the Bay Area to Ft. Worth, I must say run, don't walk; you won't be disappointed.
google avatar

Laura C.

Yelp
The menu is wonderful, and they will create anything your heart desires! Easy to substitute spinach, pasta or most anything. Great homemade bread! Great menu

Yvonne M.

Yelp
The lasagna was good, nice portion size. Our waitress was great. Dirty martini was really good too. Only thing I would change is bread being served as a complimentary dish.

Lynn S.

Yelp
Food, service and ambiance all 5 stars. Had dinner there with friends. Everyone enjoyed their meal. Ravioli was excellent. The veal was a little fatty but the sauce and sides were very good. The dessert was also good. We had an Oreo Ice Cream Pie.
google avatar

Bob B.

Yelp
The best Italian food in town with the best service . The ambiance perfect no to big so no overcrowding.

Paul O.

Yelp
Aventino's is a special local gem. Our regular server, Samatha, is a jewel. Delicious food and pleasant service ran by a minimal crew. The shrimp ziti pesto is my favorite. The entrees are fresh, savory and healthy. All come with a refreshing salad and killer garlic bread. Reservations and business casual dress are highly recommended. No call in To- go orders allow for attentiveness to customers. Great meal & cocktails for two under $100. Wow!
google avatar

Yelp
We went here for the first time last night. Everything about this restaurant and our experience was phenomenal. The owner was incredibly nice and welcoming. She welcomed returning patrons by name and was constantly walking around to ensure everyone's needs were met. This is definitely a type of business that is rare these days and worth supporting. The Lemonchello martini was amazing and the carpaccio with homemade bread was the best I've ever had. The lasagna and shrimp Diablo were fantastic. We have already made plans to go back! If you're looking for a quaint, romantic place with great Italian food and a relaxing ambiance , this is the place!
google avatar

Laura Cate R.

Yelp
Aventinos is the best Italian spot we have found in Fort Worth. Everyone on staff is so kind and everything on the menu is delicious! I definitely recommend supporting this local restaurant.
google avatar

Rachel D.

Yelp
Wanted authentic Italian so made a last minute decision to come here on a Friday night and it did not disappoint! 3rd generation owned and operated little business with the sweetest staff and owners. One of the owners was our server and his conversation and recommendations made our night. The wine list is very affordable, the food was extremely delicious and the restaurant was clean, beautiful and cozy. A very romantic little spot for a date night. A true hidden gem. We haven't stopped talking about our meals a day later. We will be back!

Whitney C.

Yelp
We really wanted to love this place but unfortunately left pretty disappointed. I gave it 2 stars because the portion sizes were pretty decent. I ordered the tortellini Rosa based off how good the pictures looked. When it came it was just marinara sauce so I mentioned it was supposed to be a pink sauce. The waitress was very kind and offered to bring me some more Alfredo. Little did I know they she was also going to charge me $3 for it at the end! The dish was already $19. I don't mind paying for good food but I'm not going to be nickeled and dimed especially for their mistake in the first place. The wine prices were good but don't waste your money on the $14 mixed drinks. My husbands old fashioned was sub par at best.
google avatar

Samuel M.

Yelp
FABULOUS food and people! On each of the 3 occasions my fiancé and I have dined with Aventino's, the food was consistently superb. They off a large menu with delicious, chef-crafted family favorites. Also featured are fantastic wine and dessert menus. The service, much like their food, is impeccable with friendly, knowledgeable staff members. Love the family feeling when the owners and management stop by to embrace our group or inquire about the meal. The care and passion this family has for fine Italian dining is very evident. Do yourself a favor and reserve a table for your next intimate date night or family celebration. You will not be disappointed! PS: I wish I had taken photos to share. But the food is that good - they didn't last a minute.

Yelp
An intimate and small Italian restaurant that was re-opened by the family in '82 with only 15 tables. Very stealth and located in a strip center just west of the museums and zoo. Third generation chef is working his magic in the kitchen . We started with the Carpaccio and for our main courses Veal Florentine and Lasagna. Sydney is our server and an all star pro. We had early reservations for the Keith Urban concert at Dickies and this is the perfect choice prior to the show. Carpaccio is pretty much the same at any other restaurant, however the house French Garlic Bread was the perfect accent for this appetizer. Five stars! Next we were served a house salad made with fresh Romain and an awesome red wine dressing. Ice cold plates and crisp fresh lettuce, not bagged. Five stars! Ellie main courses were Lasagna and Veal Florentine served over pasta and marinara sauce! This is obviously the family recipes that have been passed down through the family. The marinara sauce is supreme, the house made angel hair spaghetti and the lasagna is like grandma's The veal is tender and hammered and better than any other Italian restaurant we have visited. If you live in FW, you're lucky! It's worth the drive!

Yelp
A place you need to try! We needed a place to meet friends. They live south of Ft. Worth and we live north. This place had good yelp reviews, we wanted Italian and decided to give it a try. My wife made a reservation online and we were in. It is a smaller place a reservation is recommended. We were warmly greeted and quickly seated. Our waitress was very attentive and friendly. The wine list was not large but had enough to find what we needed. The waitresses recommendation a reasonably priced Chianti and we it was lovely. We had the Carpaccio for an appetizer it was excellent. I had the Veal Saltimbocca, my wife had the Chicken Cannelloni. The food was very good and we would recommend these dishes. To wrap this up, great food, friendly service and nice atmosphere. A fair price for what you get. We chose well.

Jaclyn B.

Yelp
Some of the best Italian food we've had in Fort Wort! Great spot for an intimate dinner. The service is just as amazing as the food!

Marc T.

Yelp
We will not be returning. Twoquarter-size pieces of cardboard were inan otherwise tasty salmon dish!!. Cynthia provided very good service but she made no attempt to compensate for the error in the kitchen. We made a resevation that included that it was for our 44th Anniversary, but we did not even get a verbal "Happy Anniversary."

Larry N.

Yelp
Any restaurant can have an off night, and one occurred at Aventino's for our party of 8 on 5/7/24. The best items were garlic bread and dessert (cappuccino pie). Pasta dishes were not good and salmon was significantly overcooked to the point of being flavorless and so bad texture wise that the servings were mostly not eaten. Hope this helps them due better. Unfortunately, no one in our group will return anytime soon.
google avatar

Linh T.

Yelp
We went here for the first time this past week. The service was excellent and the food was incredible. I got the chicken parmesan and my husband got the lasagna- both were so delicious. Cheesecake for dessert was creamy and divine. This place is family owned which also is a plus. Support your local businesses!! Highly recommend and I suspect we will be regulars here!!

Julie W.

Yelp
A quaint family restaurant that has great abience. My mother has frequented the original one over they years and always had great things to say. Not sure what has changed but the last two times we visited the meat in both dishes were over cooked and tough. Salmon (Salmon Fettucine) was like a brick and hard and pasta was dry. In addition you could not cut the chicken breast (Chicken Scallopini) with a fork - almost not a knife the sauce was ok. As previously mentioned the salad dressing was extremely tart .. a little overwhelming. For the price tag, I would not recommend this restaurant. Too many others to choose from that are much better locally.

Bergen L.

Yelp
Wonderful food with reasonable prices. Great service and ambience for a date night. Tortellini Rosa was spectacular, so was the tiramisu.
google avatar

Crystal W.

Yelp
I saw this restaurant in an email for top restaurants in Fort Worth. Since my kids will eat Italian we decided to try it. Made reservations for around 6pm. Per the sign in the door reservations are required. It was small but welcoming. Our waitress was super nice and even made suggestions such as trying to get one spaghetti between my two kids (which I also wanted to do) but they insisted on getting their own. As you can see it's a hearty portion! Luckily they didn't waste any! I got the lasagna which was delicious. If you want to try some place new with good pricing check out aventinos.
google avatar

Brenna H.

Yelp
What a hidden gem! I got a recommendation to try this little spot out because I was craving some good pasta and I'm sure glad I did! It's a very quaint little space, great familial vibe. I actually met the owner and she was very friendly and personable. The food was delicious. Ambiance fantastic. Impeccable service. I would highly recommend trying this place out for some Italian food and the bonus is you get to support local small business.
google avatar

Jasmine R.

Yelp
We had at amazing time at Aventino's the service and food was excellent. It's very great there I love that it was a great intimate space to enjoy our date not too loud. The salmon fettuccini was phenomenal, the moscato was so good paired very well. Definitely will come again for another occasion and also enjoy more cheesecake.
google avatar

Claudie R.

Yelp
Great food and great service. Small and intimate setting. Not a huge menu, but it covers all the bases.
google avatar

Barb A.

Yelp
Had lunch here for the first time and brought a friend. It is a small place. We were greeted with a smile and were seated immediately. I ordered the special, which was lasagna, salad, and iced tea. My friend ordered the marinara ziti and a salad. We were served bread for the table. The bread and butter was delicious. The salads, although looked small, were exactly the right size. It came with a very nice vinaigrette. The pasta dishes were delicious! We couldn't resist dessert today. I had the cappuccino pie and my friend had the tiramisu. Both were very good. I think the cappuccino pie would have been better if it sat out of the freezer a little before serving. It was very frozen. We enjoyed our lunch very much and we will be back!

Jack B.

Yelp
The perfect Italian place where they give classic dishes passed down for generations and the quality is always there
google avatar

Whitney B.

Yelp
From the food to the service, this place is without a doubt 5 stars. Went with 4 other people and we all got something different so I was able to try a little bit of everting. Nothing was shy of delicious. I'm not a big desert person but ordered the cappuccino pie for my brothers birthday and it was absolutely incredible. Will be dreaming of it for days to come.
google avatar

Yelp
Still Our Favorite In The Area Reservation is recommended especially for the weekend. Located in a strip mall this small family owned/operated restaurant is definitely Italian. Atmosphere is casual and very romantic, great for a date night. Our waitress Samantha was definitely outstanding. She kept us laughing and provided us with excellent recommendations. I ordered Spaghetti Carbonara my spouse the Salmon Florentine. Both meals were delicious and portions were decent size with nice presentation. A good red wine selection also. Parking is available outside in the mall lot. We both most definitely recommend eating here and we will be back.
google avatar

Shane V.

Yelp
I was looking for a pleasant surprise for my wife and I, on our anniversary. This was definitely the place. You can tell when you walk in that it's going to be a delicious and authentic Italian meal. The eating space itself is not very large, which keeps the quality of service perfect. I have to say this was the best service I've ever had. We started with the meatballs and it will make you wish it came with 4 not 3. For the main course I had the chicken cannelloni and it was fantastic. There is not a single thing on the menu I didn't want to try. I will be back for the chicken parmesan and I can't wait.

Joshua G.

Yelp
An absolute amazing restaurant. Lovely music is always playing, the food was spectacular, and the vibe js just perfect. Very nice for a date night! Will definitely come back.
