Avenue Steaks & Pizza

Placing the order over the phone was fine. Picking the order up was fine too but when I got home the pizza looks crazy (old) and like it was reheated and it smelt burnt but the pizza was grease and the sauce is salty. This was my first time trying them. I wanna try there steaks but I’ll pass. The 3%surcharge for using a card also makes me not wanna return to try anything. CUSTOMERS SHOULD NOT PAY COMPANY FEES.

Ordered a large pizza with pepperoni and pesto, it was burnt to a crisp. We ordered it as a pick up and unfortunately, when we arrived home, noticed it was burnt. We called and they guaranteed a refund for the burnt pizza which is why I am leaving it as a 2 star. Hopefully others have a better experience.

I drove from New York to Philly specifically because the portions here used to be huge and worth the price. Unfortunately, my experience on 3/1/2026 was completely different and extremely disappointing I ordered the Big Avenue cheesesteak and also a cheesesteak with extra meat (+$5.50) and paid the same price I did on 1/21/2026, but the portion was nearly half the size. The bread was harder, there was less sesame, and the meat texture looked different. I even compared it to photos from my January order — the difference is night and day. The January sandwich was nearly a foot long and packed with steak. The March sandwich looked closer to 6 inches total when the halves were put together. When I called for clarification, the lady on the phone told me “nothing changed,” which was disappointing given the visible difference, I felt like I was being gas lighted and that they didn't have the courtesy to tell me the truth and explain any portion changed by management. I’ve uploaded photos for comparison. I spent over $60 and left very disappointed. The first photo is from 1/21/2026 (original portions) and the second photo is from 3/1/2026 . Keep in mind its the exact same order and price ..

Been coming here for awhile with my son and have always enjoyed, unfortunately I stopped by saturday afternoon and ended up leaving a half hour later with no food. 2 cheesesteaks and and cheese fries. 20 minutes after ordering i was referred to by name and told order was getting finished up. Ten minutes after that I was told that the slip was lost. Unfortunately I won't be returning.

The cheesesteak personal pizza was DELICIOUS! I loved that they were open late so after our concert we had somewhere to eat. And the staff was super helpful and friendly.

I ordered food on a kiosk. It was pretty easy to use. No one is there to greet you. They have a little overhead on the sidewalk with TVs & heaters & tables. The prices were very reasonable. I got a cheesesteak & large plain pizza for $18. The pizza was good & the cheesesteak was good. It took about 10 minutes for the food to be ready.

Was in town for the Sleep Token concert with my partner. We wanted to grab food first because stadium prices be crazy. I had a Buffalo chicken cheesesteak and it was fire! The meat cheese ratio was perfect and I love that it wasnt skimpy. Also hade some wings, they were decent. No negative remarks on the wings, I've just had better. Would definitely come again in the future!

We're from Mexico and recently visited the restaurant. The experience was delicious, fast, and the flavor was unmatched. It's definitely an experience we'd love to repeat soon.

We recently visited Philadelphia. We went to a concert at citizens bank park. We wanted to get "Philly cheesesteaks" and I researched locations that were delicious and convenient to the venue. With much research Avenue steakhouse for the win. We had no problem parking, it was VERY close to all the sports venues. They made all the food to order so it did take about 20 minutes. I hope you don't have to go to the bathroom because there is NO bathroom at all. We took our sandwiches to go and also got a pizza. We tailgated and I forgot to take pictures of the food.. but they were delicious if you want a Philadelphia style cheesesteak with great bread this place will satisfy that.. the pizza was mid

My go to for plant based pizza in South Philly. Tomato Pie (no cheese in the sauce) with spinach, mushrooms and basil . The young lady that took my order over the phone was so nice. Outdoor counter and seating area clean and clear of the elements. Thank you for being consistent, delicious and having unique hours.

I was parked on a little street in South Philly, when a friend of mine text me and told me he was right down the street to meet him at Avenue steaks that I would see it when I come down the street and sure enough there it was. I was starving before an Eagles game and had to get something to eat before we made the hike to the game so I ordered a cheesesteak with cheese whiz while eating the sandwich. I realize that not only was I hungry, but this was a very good cheesesteak and it wasn't till I went back two weeks later with a friend and told him not to have any expectations that I found this place by accident but the cheesesteak melted in my mouth so we both ordered cheesesteaks and it melted in our mouth and my friend agreed with me that this was one of the better cheesesteaks he's had. This place may surprise you

On the way to a concert in Philly I got two Philly cheesesteak and a French fries to go. My friend and I ate it in a few seconds. The sandwiches were very good. There is an outdoor seating there.

Food: the taste honestly wasn't bad; the meat was a bit over cooked but it was seasoned. Presentation could better, but it's not the end of the world. Its Build Your Own and you get charged for every topping. I opt in for lettuce, raw onions, and tomato. Service: this what lowers the score. They guy upfront doesn't acknowledge people or should I say he picks and chooses whom to give attention. Better put the girl up front since she has a better attitude. Price: reasonable. This burger was 8 something. Location: not hard to find parkings and they have outdoor seatings.

So here after Wrestlemania at about 1am and they are busy but not crazy. Girl at counter tells me they don't have dough for pizza so I order a cheese steak. But as I am here waiting a half hour for my cheese steak I have been watching the pizza guy make pie after pizza pie and putting them into oven. I asked her for Diet Pepsi and she told me it's coming out too watery so no Diet Pepsi I am watching as the security guard abuse the Uber and Door Dash drivers by making them wait outside their order area. Some of these guys have been waiting here longer than my forty five minutes I had to leave and lose my money because the place is at a stand still. Couldn't wait any longer

Needed a late night cheesesteak on the way home from AC. I decided to give a newer place a shot. What this place has going for it is that it's well lit and clean. It also has other food like pizza. The choices are numerous here. But I was focused on the cheesesteak. And I'm calling it just ok. Nothing terribly wrong with it. They use a good Liscio's roll. They offer Cooper Sharp and cook it well into the meat. But I thought they left the meat a little overdone. The cheese kind of brings all the flavor and moistness of the sandwich. And that's not how you do it. It's ok in a pinch.

This place is on the corner of Oregon and Juniper. Very clean and bright with nice seating area. Condiments and napkins are available on the counter. French fries is really good. It has a nice crisp, not soggy, and not burnt. Pepperoni pizza has nice presentation. The pizza isn't the Neapolitan kind with the marblings and puffy crust. It's a NY style pizza. However, the crust is perfect as it has good chewiness, not too hard. Good amount of pepperoni too.

I've never had anything bad from here ever. Great pizza, cheesesteaks, wings,etc. delivery is usually way quicker than they quote! One of my favorite pizza places in Philly.

The pizza was not great.. it was clearly serval hours old and re-reheated z if it's not late night.. and you're sober.. yiu will be disappointed

Pizza dough was similar to dominos Flavor was bland, sauce was nicely distributed Bottom was very greasy Delivery was fast

I like it, first time here and it did not disappoint. I love that you could sit outside and watch a baseball game while eating a really tasty sandwich.

Great pizza sold by the slice! They are open 24/7 and have kiosks for ordering if you don't want to speak to anyone. I wish they had cheese hoagies! There is seating outside with heat lamps!

Food was fantastic ! We ordered fries, steak sandwich and buffalo chicken food. Summer was by far the best counter girl! She is the sweetest! We will come back just for her !

I don't know why they say they are open when if u come here at 3-4 am u will see a sign that says they are closed for cleaning until 8am!!!! ALL THE OTHER 24/7 steak/sandwich shops that say they are open 24/7 actually are open 24/7. Please Avenue stop saying ur open 24/7 when ur not !!! Smfh

Ordered a cheesesteak, inside and out, cheese fries. The cheesesteak is excellent super cheesy the bread is warm and soft and delicious. The inside out had a great crust a little thicker than I'm used to, however it could have been stuffed a little more fully it was kinda hollow. The cheese fries were warm and soft with piping hot delicious cheese. Overall it's a 8.5/10 for me.

I jog past this place frequently and remembered it tonight while craving a cheesesteak. I placed an order for pickup. I was impressed by the customization options - if you have ever thought deeply about your cheesesteak preferences, or even if you haven't, you'll probably see them represented here. The woman behind the window smiled at me as she handed it to me, presumably because she knew that I was about to have the best cheesesteak I've had in at least 10 years by a country mile. Arrived piping hot and delicious. Basically revelatory. I like cheese sauce and mushrooms on mine; get it however you like, I just have a feeling it will be great.

This is absolutely the best new spot in Philly! The cheesesteaks are so good that this joint moved into my top 5. I highly recommend the cooper sharp cheesesteak. The pizza is really great and also the breakfast sandwiches. The bread they use stays consistent no matter what time if day u come here. They also sell pizza by the slice.

Bad window service. Ignored completely. BS tow signs. Those are legal spots. Stop threatening your neighbors with towing their cars for legally parking in front of your business. Or move away!

I have never in my life seen a pizza place go this hard for a pizza delivery at 3:00am. My god, this is the best pepperoni pizza I think I have ever had. Whenever I stay at my friends house I literally look forward to inhaling this pizza. No words. 5 stars.

Nasty late night cheesesteak. Dry and no flavor. They should not be allowed to sell cheesesteaks in the great city of Philly.

Had a cheesesteak from here prior to going to an Eagles game. Right off the Oregon stop on the broad street line. There are a limited amount of cheesesteaks that do it better than here, but it is considerably better than Pat's or Geno's. Would highly recommend!

This was a nice little Philly joint with reasonable prices and good food. Tried the Philly staple pork and cheese sandwich. It was good. Others in my group had pizza and sausage and cheesesteaks (my cousin raves about her Buffalo Philly cheesesteak). Was a nice little place to go to after the hockey game. Would go again.

i really like the pizza. So far I have tried a pepperoni pizza and the buffalo chicken pizza and i was impressed with both. Quick delivery too.

Come here pretty often & very upset that I have to leave this review but whats right is right ,came here tonight for a pickup order and I ordered the boneless wings extra crispy & extra sauce ,got to work & come to find out there's NO SAUCE on them & they are harder then a rock ! yes a little crispy but not to a rock with no sauce I called to see what they can do to accommodate me & he said nothing There's no manager ,you have my number saved when I called why not be able to write down my name or accommodate me for the inconvenience next time ? just lost a regular costumer !

Very good breakfast sandwich!!! Plenty of everything on a soft, fresh hoagie roll. Yumminess. Love that I can swing by and pick this up on an early walk with my dog!

Amazing! I ordered a half and half pizza - perfect way to please multiple cravings... and it was well done, exactly how I requested! The fries were also nice and crispy. Lastly, the cheesesteak was delicious - generous cheese, roll toasted per request, and not a lot of bread - perfect meat to cheese ratio. The delivery came much quicker than expected with a friendly delivery person who notified me of food arrival prior to departing. 10/10 recommend for service, quality, and execution of special requests!

Called in a pickup order from Bonnie's @120am, girl on the phone told me 40 mins..?. No, not delivery, pick up. Yeah,30-40 mins! Get there before 2, and is told call ins have to get in line to pay first. OK. Then they started my order? Really? After waiting 20 mins n not hearing my name, little pissed, asked for my order... they hand me a bag of food that was cooked an hour ago????? After watching 3-4 of the last 7-8 orders get questioned, I will go to Philips, they're food sucks, but they won't hand me an apology.. don't go drunk, unless you like like dealing with people that have to be (at least) stoned

The pizza is great and delivery is fast. Fresh basil is alway a topping. My go to place for everything.

Disclaimer: this was my first time eating at Amazon Steaks and Pizza. I was so impressed with the fries that I will try them again. Alrighty. The cheesesteak is fine, but certainly nothing to write home about. It's a straight up middle of the road cheesesteak. The cheese wasn't cut into the steak, which would have helped to remedy the dryness of the beef, and a little salt and pepper would have helped the overall flavor. The roll was quite good. Sturdy with a bit of give when you bite into it, and a nice texture without being overly soft. The fries on the other hand, were a work of art. These are honestly some of the best fries that I've had anywhere. Seriously. They were golden in color, and crispy without being over cooked. The center was soft and provided a nice contrast to the slight crunch of the exterior. There was not a hint of excess grease, so much so that there was no oily residue on the bag that they came in. All of this was observed after a 15 minute walk home. Most fries would become soggy in this time, especially given the temperatures that we have had in Philly. I don't know what sort of wizard they have working the fryer, but they obviously know what they are doing. I can only imagine that they have an almost savant-like understanding of cooking time, oil temperature, and how to pre-soak the potatoes, along with a certain innate feel for how to make fries correctly. The fries that I ordered were perfect in every way. The person who made them deserves a raise, and a statue erected in their honor. They should give seminars on the topic, or perhaps found an institute. At the very least, they should open a small takeout window and sell only fries. This is all to say, that I can't imagine that getting these fries so incredibly right was a fluke.

I barely write reviews. I ordered this pizza like 10 days ago...late night...still thinking of how good it was today. Not going to find a better late night pizza in Philly than this. Wish I took a picture.

Not only is this restaurant punctual; they are are just wonderful human beings. I misread the menu and unfortunately I was given something I could not sure eat. At first, yes I was angry. But the customer service to follow up, taking my error under the chin, was unmatchable. i cannot wait to order something I can eat (and I will be specific on my end :) ) Thank you for being amazing.

Some of the best pizza I've had. We ordered the pepperoni with pesto and hot honey, It was truly wonderful. I cannot wait to be back!

I just moved right around the corner and get out of work late. They sell slices and the pizza is pretty great.

At a (vegetarian) friend's house and she ordered a cheese pizza with several sides (mozz sticks, onion petals, a salad). They delivered some of the sides (not all), two (cold) cheese steaks, AND NO PIZZA. We called to notify them our order was incorrect and they said THEY COULD NOT DELIVER THE PIZZA WE ORDERED, but offered her $5 off her next order. SERIOUSLY?? She's a vegetarian, you gave her cheese steaks, and refused to deliver the meal she actually paid for? WOULD GIVE ZERO STARS IF I COULD. Please SAVE YOURSELF TROUBLE AND DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS PLACE.
