This is a great spot to meet up and have a brunch and a beer. We had a young child with us so the dining area chatter was enough that kiddo noise was not out of place. The dishes we ordered were presented well, but the lack of depth of flavor in the gravy dishes made them a bit bland. The chilaquiles were very spicy, great flavor, but the dish couldn’t be finished due to the heat level. No complaints from the French toast or kids waffle. I absolutely would go back, but ask for hot sauce to perk up my pork chop and eggs. The pork chop was no different than a chicken fried steak IMO, delicious, but a bit “mild”. I had the second breakfast oatmeal stout. It was quite dark like I wanted but had a bitter profile that outweighed any notes of chocolate and other things they listed on the menu.

We went here for dinner over Labor Day weekend with the whole family (kids ages 6 and 2). We have visited before, as it’s pretty close to our house, but it had been a year or so. The food was pretty good! Not spectacular, and similar feedback from last time. The fried mushrooms mostly just tasted like the batter. The cauliflower was very good, loved the sauce! Steak and frites was fine - steak was a little fatty/chewy but cooked well and the way I asked. Fries were yummy and seasoned well. Loved the butter on the steak. The burger was okay, but my husband said the version he had at Proper Burger downtown was better. The little ones split the kids’ waffles and loved the fruit, but for some reason said the syrup tasted funny (yes! Kids complained about a sugary syrup!). I think this was because it was infused with an herb. I suspect adults would appreciate this more. Service was fine. Our waitress was attentive and listened. We sat outside on the patio and it was a nice, quiet evening. We would go back.

Google
The food and drinks were great. Felt a little small town like, which was kind of cool. Mostly because it was in a neighborhood. Though they have a kids menu the food wasn't the best for kids. Staff mostly friendly. We'll be back for sure.

Google
we came in for brunch. It was surprisingly quiet.. The food was phenomenal. Service was great. Would highly recommend the eggs Benedict or they hash. We also got a chicken and waffle, and that was great!

Avenues Proper in Salt Lake City is a must-visit spot for anyone seeking a vibrant dining experience with an inventive twist on classic dishes. Nestled in the Avenues neighborhood, this gastropub captures a cozy yet lively ambiance, making it a great choice for casual meetups or a night out. The menu features a variety of creative, seasonal dishes, and their attention to quality ingredients is apparent in every bite. One of the standout items is their spicy chicken sandwich – a dish that’s hard to forget. The chicken is perfectly crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside, with just the right level of spice to keep things interesting without overwhelming the flavor. Topped with fresh greens, a tangy aioli, and nestled between a soft, toasted bun, this sandwich is an absolute crowd-pleaser and a personal favorite. Apart from the food, Avenues Proper also boasts an impressive selection of house-brewed beers, each thoughtfully crafted to pair well with their menu. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly, always ready to make recommendations and ensure a great dining experience. Whether you’re a local or just visiting Salt Lake City, make sure Avenues Proper is on your list – you won’t be disappointed!

Google
2.5/5 First, the server we had was great! The food was definitely not “made from scratch with local ingredients” as the menu describes. For the prices, the quality is just not where it needs to be. The Mac & Cheese was good, but the noodles were from a box (we asked). Still, tasty. The kitchen really struggled with the clams. Five of them were still closed when served. Not sure how that is allowed to leave the kitchen like that. The server was awesome, and she asked for fresh clams, and this time only two were under cooked but the reduction was burnt. Maybe a bad night for the clams? The stroganoff was fine, but again boxed noodles. Not from scratch, big chunks of fat (pictured), not really worth the $27. The server comped the clams, which was very generous. Seems like a tug of war between brewery food and fine dining, but the brewery is definitely winning and the food is losing.

Google
Cute place for brunch in the avenues. Food and drinks were reasonably priced for the most part. Service was a bit slow- not the servers fault at all. they were clearly understaffed in the front of house. There were maybe 2 servers for the entire floor for a weekend brunch? Probably not the most logical staffing decision on managements part.

Google
I’m visiting from SF and I have to say my meal here at Avenues Proper was the best meal out I’ve had in months. The atmosphere and service were wonderful, so that’s always a pleasant surprise in the postpandemic world, but omg the food. The dishes were classics with a little twist (emphasis on “little”—it wasn’t one of those overwrought gastropub menus, it was classic chicken and waffles but the maple syrup was infused with thyme. Speaking of the chicken and waffles, this had to be the best version of this dish I’ve had since I was at Tupelo Honey Café’s original location in Asheville, NC). My friend ordered the arugula and beet salad and it was also very nice. For dessert we shared the strawberry shortcake special with no regrets lol.

Yelp
One of the best spots for a casual night with upscale pub food and a good beer. The people who work here are friendly and engaged. There's a great outdoor patio.

Yelp
I ended up getting sick with food poisoning from this location last week. I eat meat once (or less) per week so there's little doubt that I got sick here. Ultimately the reason I'm writing a review is because I called the restaurant twice to talk to a manager and didn't get a call back from anyone. I love Craft by Proper, I love Proper Burger and Proper Brewery is my favorite brewery in SLC. I know how hard it is to recover from low star reviews so here is a 5-star review.

Yelp
This is a reliable place for good food, drinks and ambiance. We started with their signature cocktail the Pear Gin Fizz which was refreshing and delicious. We ordered the Steak Frites, Pork Chop and the Sweet Potato Gnocchi. Dinner was served promptly. Steak Frites is always my favorite dish here. They are very generous with the bed of frites on the plate. The steak is cooked to order and flavorful and arrives resting on the bed of frites. The Grilled Pork Chop has a cherry mostarda on top and comes with roasted potatoes. The flavors compliment each other nicely however the pork chop was thin and appeared flattened so it was a little tough. Sweet Potato Gnocchi cames as an ample portion including roasted butternut squash and spinach. The flavors were amazing and I could have licked the bowl. We ran out of room for dessert but there are several sweet options to try. Great place for lunch or dinner. Their parking lot is small and fills up quickly but there is street parking available all around the area.

Yelp
One of my favorite travel YouTubers recommended this in his Salt Lake City "must-do" videos. It's in a quiet section of Salt Lake City, high on a hill - like north of downtown and not far from Ensign Peak. It's a nice place and it's got the hipster vibe to it. I ordered their famous Chicken and Waffles dish and it was alright. Only because I was still hungry and the portion size wasn't that big. Luckily, the ice cream place next door cured that! But I had a couple of their beers (SLC pils) and they tasted good. Service was alright. Still, I felt like there was something missing about this place when I was there. Maybe the seats were too close to each other, I don't know.

Yelp
Slow service. Poor management in problem solving. Not chance to try their food. Left hungry and displeased after waiting for 1 item on menu closed to end if afternoon rush.

Yelp
One of my favorite brunch spots! The veggie burger with fancy fries is a MUST. Great selection of beers - would suggest getting a reservation if you're going on a Saturday.

Yelp
Amazing service and such a friendly waiter!! The menu is small and a little limited but the food was still really good with great drink options! Cute little spot to stop at and the vibes are very cozy yet sophisticated!

Yelp
Reserved for 8:30 dinner for two. I'm not a beer fan, but the waiter recommended the $1 samples of their in-house brewed beer. The sour ranger was fruity and a delight. In the end, I went with a Tropical Storm rum cocktail on the rocks that was light and perfect for the evening. We had three appetizers: the Pork Belly was perfectly crispy on the outside and succulent on the inside. I'm salivating just thinking about it. The Proper Poutine was good, but it was a little too salty. The Kung Pao Cauliflower was delicious, but to be honest, what fried food isn't? The Carbonara with bacon bits is cooked in a light cream with a raw yolk on top (broke the yolk and mixed it in the hot pasta). The waiter says it's an in house made from scratch spaghetti. While it tasted good, the pasta was too soft and airy for a creamy dish like Carbonara. The dessert, a Coffee Pana Cotta was fluffy and not too heavy. The area is a very small space, and the tables are a little crowded. However the dim mood lighting and cozy rustic interior is perfect for any group setting, professional or casual.

Yelp
Love the setting here up in the avenues of SLC. I normally come here for lunch but today we came here for a date night. It was great although it was much like we were in NYC with how close we were to everyone. We could hear others conversations and constantly eavesdropping on others conversations was somewhat tempting. Now for the food. My wife and I went safe with the burgers. Always a safe choice. Very well cooked and I love the Brioche bun. Everything stayed together just fine. We also split a spinach and artichoke dip. Was very good and was the perfect size for two. Much more spinach and cheese than artichoke which is how I like my spinach and artichoke dip. Service was great and we got a reservation. Unfortunately there was traffic and we had to call and let them know. They were fine with it but give them a heads up. Want to come back here and try the brisket sandwich, the cubano, or beef stroganoff. All looked great from others selections. Highly recommend, never been disappointed here.

Yelp
I visited this fancy version of Proper Burger while my baby was in the nearby hospital. The brisket sandwich and frites were good, but the curried soup special was even better! I'm knocking off a star because there wasn't much room to sit, at least not with the wheelchair I was using at the time. We had to go across the street to eat.
google avatar

Yelp
Very disappointing brunch. Everything was SO overpriced, small portions, and my farmers market hash ( 2 eggs, 6 potatoes and vegetables) was 17 dollars, and so disappointingly the poached eggs were overcooked so basically boiled. It's a cool spot but very basic food for way too much money.

Yelp
Avenues Proper was a wonderful restaurant. I got the Steak Frites and it was good. I've gotten the Avenues Proper Burger in the past and they make one incredible hamburger. The bibimbap was very tasty and is a dish not found at many restaurants. Our server was nice and we really enjoyed the overall experience.

Yelp
I love this place. Thanks so much for being such a great spot for us to have some dinner/drinks before a show downtown. Jackie is the best manager and thanks again!

James C.

Yelp
This restaurant is near my home in the Avenues and a place we want to support but I cannot. It is the only establishment I know of that has the greeter at the front door take your ID and disappear into the back to verify your legal age, out of sight and then return a few minutes later. We have all been victims of fraud too many times to allow this practice. I still do not know why they feel they need to do this. Also, they do not use a contactless payment device such as Toast. It is well known that physical contact credit card swiping systems spread germs and viruses. Someone sneezes on their card, hands it to the waiter who swipes it thru the device. A few minutes later the waiter repeats this process now spreading germs to the new card. Great process! Did Covid never happen? Come on.

Yelp
Me and my girlfriend went on a Sunday morning for brunch and we couldn't have been happier! The host recommended a plethora of draft beers that would go well with brunch and I landed on the "Whispers of the Primordial" due to its pineapple taste and it was amazing! The bar itself is located in a separate room that is a lot more dark in lighting but it still had a really cool atmosphere! Ordering from the bartender there, she was really nice and helped a lot with my order of the brisket hash! I had never had a brisket hash before but it was amazing! I'd recommend trying it and I'd honestly order it again on a return trip.

Yelp
Finally got around to giving this place another try! It was pretty busy when we arrived at 730 but we were lucky and got a table with no wait! The service was great and our orders were taken pretty quickly and we didn't have too long of a wait for our food. I started off with a pineapple mule, I wanted a pomegranate marg but they were sold out. The drink was okay, made well, just not my favorite. I wouldn't get it again. The brisket sandwich is a favorite, so I'm told. It got a bit messy, but I tried a bite of the brisket and it was cooked perfectly! definitely would try this next time I go back. The beef stroganoff was delicious! The beef was tender and everything you'd want. I felt like the portion size was perfect. I also loved the sauce. Definitely reminded me of the beef stroganoff I grew up eating, just slightly more elevated! All in all this is a great spot to grab dinner. Also have heard the brunch is great, but be warned it does get pretty busy.

Yelp
Came to this place while a friend and i where out wandering slc and got hungry. We showed up & got seated. It wasn't busy when we arrived so that was nice. And THEN we waited about 10 minutes before anybody came to even say anything to us. Our waiter came and brought silverware and then disappeared again. Never seen him again. The host brought waters and that was it. After waiting 20 minutes without ordering even a drink we finally said screw it and left. Kinda irritated and starving we came to the saffron valley Indian restaurant and have ordered already and been treated great! So unfortunately we won't be returning to avenues proper even though we where so excited to try the food, the service just turned us off completely. When we left we told the host we would be leaving and instead of asking why or any type of compassion he just said "ok" lol. So that was our impression unfortunately . If you try this place best of luck!

Yelp
The staff was nice but there was literally no ambiance. It was silent and the tv speakers were off. Also I ordered pork chop for almost 30 bucks, which was good, but there wasn't nearly enough potatoes on the side. It was under seasoned and plain, and the kale was over salted, which I guess balances out in the end but nonetheless was a huge disappointment. Not trying to discredit the staff, which again, were nice. My friends also ordered house pickles, but it was just pickled veggies, no actual pickles.

Yelp
Went for the beer menu and recommended appetizers, stayed for dinner! One of my coworkers recommended Avenues Proper when I was looking for a "nicer" place to have a date night that had some local beers and great food. I'm so glad he mentioned that we needed to make reservations since the restaurant does get busy fast during dinner time. We opted to share the Panzanella Salad, it's hands down my favorite salad in SLC so far. The kale was very fresh and the roasted vegetables with vinaigrette made so good! I had their only vegetarian sandwich, which turned out to be the spiciest item on the menu (8/10 on the spice level if that helps). My partner had the Beef Stroganoff, he mentioned it was cooked perfectly and was very creamy. The beer and drink menu is extensive (also very popular in the community as they have a large local beer selection). We opted for a couple of local pale ALEs to drink and shared a glass of the house red to end out dinner. If you're not a big drinker, or you don't drink at all, there are plenty of drink options and the servers are super happy to make non-alcoholic versions of some of their mixed drinks. My only downside for the restaurant is that everything takes its own time and you should really plan to be there for 60+ minutes. It took a bit (10 minutes or so) for me and my partner to get seated and even though the food took a bit longer to come to us, the servers made sure that we were happy with our drinks and checked on us once the food came. Also FYI the restaurant is not opened on Mondays and Tuesdays!

Yelp
Wife and I had a getaway lunch last week. Sat in the bar had a few beers and cocktails. Along with their proper burger. It was perfect. Had the bar mostly to ourselves since we had some snow but had a great time

Yelp
We sat on the patio on the beautiful day! No wait, the hostess and waitress were so kind and provided great service. My eggs Benedict with smoked salmon was incredible!

Yelp
Some of the best food I've had in a minute. The vegan buffalo cauliflower tacos were way better than I could've ever imagined !! Service was a little strange, but sitting outside always makes the experience more enjoyable.

Yelp
Awesome place for lunch! We had a wonderful time with out server Spencer. The famous fried are a must!

Yelp
My husband and I had a late lunch at Avenues Proper and it was delicious! We sat inside, the chairs were comfortable and the music was good. Chloe took great care of us. As everyone knows they have great beer but also a really nice drink and wine list. My husband had a Manhattan and I had a rose'. He had a burger and I had the Cubano sandwich. The burger was big, meaty and cooked perfectly. My cubano was about as perfect as I could hope for, the bread was toasted and perfect in every way, perfectly seasoned, the pickles and peppers have it a nice little kick and I loved it. Chloe was attentive, knowledgeable and great overall. I can't wait to go back.

Yelp
Okay so we tried to go to Avenue's Proper three times & finally got in!!! No wait on a Thursday night, which was fortunate. We sat on the bar side. Our waitress was great, very helpful & attentive. We tried a few cocktails: The Proper Daily & the Pomegranate Margarita. Both were really good! I always love me a good margarita! We grabbed two appetizers, the Pommes Frites (basics fries) with the best proper beer aioli sauce!! It was delicious! We also tried the brussel sprouts. For some reason in my head, these were not going to be shredded, even though the menu is clear that they are. The dried cherries were a great touch to this appetizer. Food wise, I didn't feel like they had great vegetarian options except like a veggie burger or a salad. I ended up getting the carbonara pasta, minus the bacon. The pepper was really strong & overwhelming for me with this dish. My friend wanted salmon but with Valentine's Day a few days before we went, they were fresh out of both the fish & chips & the Atlantic salmon option so he opted for the chicken & waffles which ended up being really good. We also had a puddling type coffee dessert. I can't remember what it was called & it was okay but I probably wouldn't get it again. There was a jello texture to the middle layer. It was different. I was more excited to try this place, then I felt leaving. It was cute & I'm glad I got to try it with all the hype I hear about it.

Yelp
Service was extremely friendly but slow. We were the first in here, and they had one server. I had tried the Smoked Pork Belly tacos. They were missing something.... I think a sweet BBQ sauce would have been PERFECT for the flavor profile, but it was decent enough. I did, however, request BBQ sauce, and it did fix them up a bit. Their BBQ sauce is actually a little spicy. Tastes kind of like a smoky BBQ combined with Tapatio. So, as I previously stated, sweet BBQ would have been the perfect addition to these tacos. My husband felt his brisket sandwich was dry. We both love love LOVE the fries here. The thickness, the flavor, the softness. The aioli! Ughhhh YES. We look forward to coming back for brunch.

Yelp
This spot is a gem in our little neighborhood. Situated across from a little park and next to an ice cream/chocolate shop, it is a great place to enjoy a night out. We both enjoyed a Proper Burger with fries. It tasted incredible, but was way overcooked. Both of our burgers were definitely not "medium," which was disappointing, though the flavor redeemed it. The fries are DELICIOUS. Very salty and well seasons, crispy and fresh on the outside, fluffy and warm on the inside. I don't know what the dipping sauce is they give you, but I could have put that on everything. I enjoyed a great drink called "Poolside" per the waiter's recommendation. It was really weird. I've never had dill in a drink before, but it worked! Very refreshing. Would go here again. Reasonably priced for great food.

Yelp
My wife and I tried this place while visiting Salt Lake City. Great service, fantastic drinks and patio. Chocolate next door! Loved the food.

Yelp
Great little spot to walk to in the Avenues. A bit pricey for what you get, but the ambiance is nice. You can sit outside too, which is perfect and shady on summer evenings. Service can be hit or miss and I've had errors on both food and drinks. Make sure to speak up if this happens!
google avatar

Kieran E.

Yelp
I got the chicken and waffles, it was delicious, especially with the thyme syrup. My friend got the shrimp and it was good, but a little small for the price. The service seemed a little slow, since it wasn't full at all, but our server was friendly. The mocktails were delicious and well worth the price if you want to treat yourself. You can buy beer to take home from Proper as well, very convenient.
google avatar

Randy W.

Yelp
I've known about this place for awhile now, but this was the first time we have been able to get up there. And thinking how much we love proper burger, we were extremely excited. Our server wasn't bad, but wasn't great either. And if you're planning on getting a fountain drink, guess again. It's Pop in a can. After watching 4 different tables get their food "they came in wayyyyyyy after us", we finally got our food. And it was mediocre at best. There was literally no seasoning on anything, not even butter on bread. Bacon, and potatoes were so burnt, they were charred black. I'm kinda bummed, but maybe the mornings are flukes and it could be better for dinner??

Caroline H.

Yelp
Service is atrocious unless you are in the bar. It's the only area I would recommend. I've always liked this place, especially the proper burger and frites, but the last two times we've gone, staff was glaringly bad. The first, we had a dinner reservation and were sat in the middle of the patio on a warm fall night. It was lovely. Not one single server approached us in almost 20 minutes. Not with a glass of water or a "we'll be right with you". So we got up and went to the bar. Today, we went in for a 1:30 lunch and stood in front of the hostess stand for 10 minutes without a single acknowledgment. It wasn't very busy but I'm guessing they were short staffed or there wasn't a host and wait staff was supposed to seat people. Unfortunately, the bar was full. We left and went to downtown brew pub. I doubt we'll try again.

Yelp
First time for me coming to this restaurant with my family. Most of us are visiting here from out of town however there are several who live here in Kayesville. We arrived with a large party of 13 and was seated in the back. We were seated pretty quickly and the Food was very good l. Josh was outstanding as our waiter. Very attentive and on it. The only big complaint that we ALL had was it was so very very hot. We asked from the moment we sat down to cut the heat down and asked them to open the back door to let some air in. They kept Closing the back door even though we kept reopening it. There was no one else sitting in the back but our group and they were not very busy at all. We finally asked could they keep it open but We were told no which meant it was time to leave. Very unfortunate for them as we would have closed the place down.

Yelp
Biscuits came out HARD. When we sent them back, softer ones came out, but no gravy. Waitress was stating more gravy would be an up charge. She also assured us the replacement biscuits would not be an up charge (I hope not as they were rock solid the first time) but overall it was just meh. Not going back.
google avatar

Anna B.

Yelp
The last two times we've been here the food has came out cold.. Not warm, cold. Today biscuits were so hard they were inedible. Service was slow but I think our service was new so that didn't bother us much. Lately breakfasts here has been a miss which is bothersome because we love the drinks and vibe here so much

Yelp
This was the BEST kale Caesar salad with anchovies that I have ever had (I added salmon)! I couldn't believe how utterly and completely satisfied I felt afterwards. I went back a couple days later with some friends, to try the brunch menu/ satisfy my cravings for another Caesar salad. - Karissa was our server both times and gave us excellent service + recommendations!

Bill R.

Yelp
Great mimosas. Good brunch. Atmosphere was nice. Service was good. We expected a larger crowd, but the place was pretty quiet.

Yelp
I feel like this place was hit and miss in the past with regard to food quality and value but my visit a few nights ago was different. It seems they have finally found their groove. Food and beverage quality was excellent and service was friendly and good. I will admit that I still have one small complaint regarding value. I ordered the bibimbap which was very good but is $18.00 for the base 'veggies only' version. If you want to add meat, it costs $7.00 additional. Fine. I get it. But the portion of meat was nowhere near what I would expect for $7.00. Overall, this place keeps improving and I will be back. Just wish they'd be a bit more reasonable with portions if you're going to up charge like that.

Yelp
We make it a point to come here every time we visit Salt Lake City. The spicy chicken sandwich is amazing. It's a great little spot which a fun chocolate / ice cream place next door. Our favorite place in the avenues!

Yelp
Went for Sunday brunch last weekend. The hostess was adorable and funny and sat us right when we walked in. Our waiter in the bar was fantastic. I didn't catch names but wish I did. Brunch was delish and wonderful drink deals. Such a fun visit, we will be back. Thank you!!!

Sadie S.

Yelp
I do not recommend this restaurant to anyone! Two people in the group ordered the same thing, however, they did not look the same. The only similarity between them was that eggs were soggy. Other than that, there were many ingredients missing from the plate or pathetically underrepresented.
google avatar

Grace K.

Yelp
It's in a super cute area in the avenues but it is close to the hospital so you hear a lot of sirens going by. The wait was pretty gnarly so don't show up starved, be prepared to wait quite a while. The hostess was super loud and it was a slightly odd experience with the staff but maybe just an off day? Everyone was nice, it was just odd. Food was fabulous and the service was quick and efficient! I would go back. There is plenty of parking in their lot as well.

Brittani M.

Yelp
Cute place! Kind of small, but the patio opens up more tables. They were pretty good on estimating our wait time (:15 at 7:30pm Friday night). Service was SUPER fast! Our waitress came out a few minutes after we sat down, enough for us to decide on drinks, appetizers, and entree; we were pretty hungry so we decided pretty quick. Their lake effect (??) sour was spectacular, and I'm not one for any beers. The appetizers were pretty small for the price, but that's usual anywhere. The rosemary bread of the day was super fluffy and soft yet crisp. The Brussels sprouts were okay, could have been a bit sweeter or saltier, or perhaps more of a balsamic glaze. I got the bbq jackfruit sandwich was something different and a good choice. My friends got the avenues proper burger which was a thick, respectable burger; pork belly sandwich and fries. Both enjoyed their choice. The only thing would be the arugula salads were pretty plain, with 3 slices of radishes and a lemon vinaigrette. Arugula shouldn't be a salad on its own in my opinion. Overall great experience!

Yelp
I'm dog sitting in the Avenues and decided to come check this place out with the hubby for date night. Dining area is open but intimate with only 20 to 25 tables. The boilers are right in the center of the space and the focal point as you enter. The background noise of everyone talking is louder than a typical restaurant but only adds to the ambiance of the brewery. We made a reservation and were seated right away when we arrived. Caden was our server and he was knowledgeable about the menu items and helped me pick something that wouldn't irritate my sensitive stomach. Hubby ordered the Red Headed Stranger and a shot of Bulleit. He had been talking about beef stroganoff earlier this week so of course his eyes went immediately to that option and he had to get it. The noodles were al dente and the sauce was not thick and heavy like you would typically expect, and it was well seasoned and not overpowering. The beef was more like a pot roast style meat and it was tender and flavorful. And the sauteed shitake mushrooms were complimentary to the dish. He devoured every bite and really liked how it wasn't a heavy dish. I ordered the House Veggie Burger and pulled the when harry met Sally card to eliminate the pickled onions, poblano crema and ghost pepper cheese (you know I don't like spice), and Caden was nice enough to offer a white cheddar instead. Holy crap that burger was good. I have never had a veggie burger with sweet potatoes and the texture and flavor was phenomenal. And the cheese melted on top just sent the flavor over the edge!! The rye aioli on the side was magnificent and addicting! I also loved the shoestring fries...perfectly thin and crispy and dipping them in the aioli just packed the punch of flavors in. Needless to say we thoroughly enjoyed our dinner. Caden offered us dessert and when he read off the options we couldn't resist...we got the brown sugar cake. The pineapple bourbon drizzle was tart and strangely enough went really well with the caramel and the super buttery and sweet cake. We just kept saying wow as we ate it. I may regret eating so much later but it sure tasted amazing. Can't wait to come back and try their brunch!

Yelp
Everything is great and comfortable about a place like this. Parking, service, atmosphere and food. I've been here a few times but lately I have been loving brunch over dinner. Don't get me wrong they have a great burger! But recently I went for brunch on a Saturday and had the biscuits smothered, with bacon, brisket, scrambled eggs and potatoes (which are crispy on the outside nice and soft inside). It was so delicious and I ate most of it and I didn't have to eat the rest of the day. Friends had the basic breakfast with your choice of eggs, toast, meat etc.. and they all loved it! Great drink menu as well with lots of options, even mock-tails and the service has always been very friendly. I will be back in a few months, per usual.

Yelp
My family called in a takeout order using the menu on the website, and unfortunately for me, apparently that menu is now outdated. The entree I ended up with had only one ingredient in common with the one I wanted, which was apparently enough for them to take the order without asking questions as to why we were ordering something they don't have anymore. I'm lucky I don't have any food allergies, I guess, and if you like coconut milk then maybe it was okay, if a little pricey at $25, but I didn't want shrimp with coconut milk, I wanted what we tried to order, which was shrimp and grits. Having finally found the entree I ended up with on their online ordering portal, if not their online menu, it looks like mine didn't even come up with everything it was supposed to. It would be nice if such an expensive place could be bothered to keep their online menus updated, or just listen to the orders they take over the phone.

Solid Avenues eatery. Amazing bar bites, great atmosphere no matter what vibe you're looking for. Creative chef and friendly staff.

Yelp
If you're ever in Salt Lake City - Savannah and crew are some of the loveliest people I've met in a long while and they've been taking good care of me while on assignment here with the FAA from out of state. The staff are friendly, timely, and have made me feel so welcome, A+ service from all staff there! I love the vibe and atmosphere there. It's so cozy. This has been my favorite spot in Salt Lake while here! Dinner - breakfast - their alcohol you HAVE to try it all if you ever come through SLC! This place outdoes everything I've ever tried back home in Vegas!

Yelp
First time here and it was delicious! I had their chicken & waffles, stuffed french toast, and fries. Each dish was better than the next and I left very full and very satisfied. The chicken and waffles were no better or worse than other places I've been, the stuffed french toast was SO good (probably my favorite), and the fries were crispy and seasoned just right. The staff were pleasant and accommodating, the place was clean, and the wait was worth it. ps while we waited to be seated, we just went across the street to the small park and enjoyed being outside. I very much enjoyed the atmosphere and food at this restaurant and will definitely be back in the future.
