We booked this restaurant for my birthday. Took the sharing menu for 59 euro pp for 4 people, which included 4 courses with 2 dishes per course, with bread and a lovely toffee like butter to start.
The first course was beef tartare and leek with a delicious misu dip. Both were very tasty, the leek was perfectly cooked. The beef tartare was good, but we would’ve liked a bit more kick out of it (maybe with lemon zest or chilli).
The next course was an asian styled cucumber salat, which was probably my favorite dish of the evening, and a delicate zander fish, with touches of anise flavors.
Next came the grilled cabbage and the pork belly. The pork was mellow and rich with flavor, definitely a favorite!
Before dessert we decided to take a round of oysters. They were fresh, well served and a nice in between dish to refresh our tastebuds.
After came the desserts. Fig sorbet, which some of us loved, I personally didn’t connect to the flavor, which felt somewhat artificial, but the disassembled cheesecake was a home run.
During our meal we also ordered 2 bottles of riesling from the Pfalz region. The wine menu was very diverse, also price wise. We took the waiter’s recommendation and didn’t regret it.
Overall a good experience for a special occasion, great vibes and a casual atmosphere. We enjoyed the surprise dishes and I can definitely recommend this place!
