Had a great time at Avra, Sunny Isles Beach Florida. The waitress was knowledgeable and did not rush anything. We had Greek Salad, Tuna Tartar, Beet Salad, Octopus, Ceviche, Cheese Saganaki for appetizers. For main course we had Branzino for two, Salmon, Branzino Fillet then of course paired it with great sides such as Asparagus, Lemon Potatoes and Gigantes. We also had desserts at the end and they were light and delicious (Ekmek, Orange Cake, Greek Yoghurt) In general the staff was attentive and always there to help. Great selection of wines and a great Greek food menu. After finishing the meal we stopped by the bar had some more wine, it was definitely hard to leave the place :) The atmosphere was amazing. The interior was very beautiful, clean and Mediterranean. Beautiful presentation on the dishes and the displaying of their special fish.

Beautiful restaurant with great ambiance. The filet mignon was amazing as well as the fish we ordered. A branzino and a snapper. The sides weren’t the best, the roasted potatoes were a bit dry and had no salt. The orange cake was so good! As for the service it was amazing. All of the waiters were very attentive and nice and there was a dj playing some nice music. Overall the restaurant was pretty nice and beautiful making it a great dining experience.

A Culinary Experience Worth Every Bite – A Birthday to Remember at Avra Dining at Avra was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we walked in, the upscale ambiance set the tone for a truly elevated experience. The lighting was just right, the music subtle enough to allow for easy conversation, and every detail of the atmosphere made the evening feel special. Our servers, Milan and Javier, were absolute gems. Attentive, friendly, and incredibly knowledgeable—Milan, in particular, guided us through the menu with ease and even gave us a personalized tour of the fresh fish market. His expertise made our selections that much more enjoyable. We indulged in a feast: perfectly textured calamari (I loved the tomato sauce, while my sister preferred the aioli), tender grilled octopus, juicy lamb chops, flavorful chicken, and the standout—mussels in a white wine tomato broth that were simply divine. The spinach side dish, steamed and finished with garlic, was light yet satisfying, and the seasoned potatoes that accompanied the chicken were so good I’m determined to recreate them at home. My mocktail, the Guia, was refreshingly tasty. And when we ran out of table space (yes, we ordered that much), our waiter effortlessly extended it with grace and precision. Since it was my birthday, I was surprised with a delightful dessert sampler. The olive oil cake was incredibly moist and reminiscent of a rich pound cake, while the raspberry cheesecake was smooth, tangy, and decadent. Every dish was made fresh, and the quality of the ingredients—particularly the fish flown in from overseas—was evident. This is the kind of place that turns a meal into a memory. Highly recommended for special occasions or anyone looking to enjoy world-class service and cuisine.

I went to this restaurant with my boyfriend for our anniversary and it was amazing! The service was incredible – Michel, our server, was so kind and made everything perfect. Thank you so much, Michel! Highly recommend the zucchini chips, branzino, and chocolate cake – all were delicious! ❤️

Google
The service is nice, but the food is subpar for the price, especially the sardines (they were good the first time I was here, but now they are uneatable). The bathroom needs to be better maintained. The dessert is terrible. The first time I tried the orange cake and it was not good, this time, based on the waiter recommendation, I got the chocolate cake, and it was equally terrible. The zucchini chips and the dover sole were good.

I have been to this restaurant many times. Sometimes I was served very well and sometimes very badly and there was more bad service. Once they brought me dirty champagne glasses and forgot about my drinks. The bar always has nice bartenders and good service, but there are problems in the hall. For one we ordered langoustines and when they brought us the check the price for them was $500 which is very expensive for shrimp, but why didn't the waiter warn us that shrimp can cost $500 this is idiocy, I am ready to pay more but not for shrimp. Our bill for 2 was $1200 without alcohol this is madness for that I am taking a star off you. The design of the restaurant is nice and the view of the ocean is very beautiful. I really like the octopus appetizer with capers it is very tasty and they also have the best tuna sashimi it is very tasty I recommend

On May 16, 2025, we had the pleasure of dining at Avra in Miami and would like to express our exceptional experience. Our servers, Gregory and Yiannis, provided us with a memorable and refined dining experience. Their meticulous attention to detail and unwavering commitment to excellence consistently exceed our expectations. They were not only friendly and polite but also genuinely welcoming, ensuring that we felt cared for and thoroughly enjoyed our meal. The culinary offerings were equally impressive, as they have consistently delivered exceptional dishes. We will make sure to request Gregory and Yiannis by name during our future visits. We extend our sincere gratitude for making our night truly unforgettable.

Yelp
This food was fantastic, for me fancy dinners with my family are the most amazing meals. Avra has a great location and luxurious feel with wonderful decor and outdoor view. The service was great and the waitress was super kind in assisting us with certain dishes she recommended. It was overall very very yummy and worth it.

Yelp
Avra, located in the luxurious Aqualina Estates in Sunny Isles, offers a remarkable dining experience with a focus on traditional Greek cuisine. The ambiance is stunning, featuring elegant interiors, pool, and beach views from the outdoor patio, making it an ideal spot for date nights, family dinners, and special occasions. The menu is praised for its fresh seafood, with standout dishes like branzino, octopus, and Portuguese sardines. Diners also enjoy the Mediterranean appetizers and delectable desserts. The Miami Spice menu is a popular choice, offering a variety of delicious options. Service quality can vary, with some patrons noting exceptional attention and accommodation, while others experienced less satisfactory interactions with servers. Despite this, the overall experience is often redeemed by the beautiful setting and the quality of the food. Avra's atmosphere, combined with its high-end fine dining and breathtaking scenery, positions it as one of the most beautiful restaurants in South Florida. The restaurant maintains the quality and consistency of its New York City predecessors, making it a top choice for those seeking refined Greek cuisine in a picturesque location.

Yelp
The food is good, the ambiance beautiful, but the service leaves a bit to be desired. Our server was very grouchy and kept trying to push us toward more expensive items, more expensive wine and even switched an app to a much more expensive entree. I called the manager the day after when I took a closer look at the bill and she was able to adjust for the sneaky upcharges. Took forever to get our wine. The food was delicious, everything from the zucchini and eggplant chips to the fish, but the prices are a bit outrageous. You're paying for the location after all. I did not like the baklava for dessert, it was tough as a rock (not soft and flaky like it should be) and did not taste like any baklava I've ever had. All in all, we probably would have had a much nicer experience here if it hadn't been for our unpleasant waiter. It was three of us (elegantly dressed middle aged ladies celebrating our friend's 50th birthday) and he single handedly ruined the mood and the evening for us. What a shame.

Yelp
Excellent service and food! Sat at the bar since I was alone. Bartenders were on point and are a big reason why I will be back soon.

Yelp
AVRA's relatively new Miami location maintains the quality and consistency of its NYC predecessors. The space is gorgeous and classy. It lends itself well to date night and family dinners alike with a mix of cozy round booths on the perimeter and longer central tables. The service is intuitive and friendly. Almost everything on the menu is delicious and crave-able. There is a huge selection of fish and seafood which can be prepared by virtually any method you desire. My favorite appetizers are the Avra chips and octopus. No visit is complete without the chopped green salad. The hamachi and salmon crudo were good but the portion was small - skip this unless you're craving sashimi. For mains the Branzino is a go to. The lamb chops are also great quality and well prepared. This time I tried the Carabineros (scarlet prawns) and it's safe to say I will be ordering these sweet and tender shrimp again. I have to give a bid to the cocktails as well as they were expertly mixed. Finally, I'm not actually a huge fan of most of the dessert options, but the olive oil cake is moist and the sweetness is just right. The chocolate and pistachio ice creams were also excellent - they are not your typical ice cream parlor flavors. Overall, AVRA Miami serves up a consistently great experience in a beautiful and upscale setting making it a staple for a nice dinner out.

Yelp
The restaurant is very beautiful and we decided to go for the Miami Spice dinner menu. They start you off with a tiny portion of olives, hummus and radish and toasted fresh bread, that you can have with their delicious olive oil stationed inside every table. From their Miami Spice Menu, I got the ceviche as the appetizer and it was delicious. The fish was very fresh, and so was my second course which was the Branzino. My friends and I agreed that it didn't have much of a flavor and I wish they would've added a yellow lemon wedge to add a little to bring out the flavors. The fish itself was soft and good but not much seasoning. For dessert I asked the waiter for recommendations and he said the Olive oil cake was good. It really wasn't, which is why I removed a star. The orange cake my friend got was wayyy more flavorful. Service was also a little spotty and for a high end place like that, I expected excellent service. We also got a virgin mojito each and with tax and gratuity it was $100 each.

Yelp
Great date night spot! Tried their Miami spice menu and thoroughly enjoyed it. The service was also spot on ( a rarity for Miami). I mentioned in my reservation that I was celebrating a special event and also pregnant but did not call to remind the restaurant the day off. To my Surprise they actually had it noted and offered mocktail selections Upon arrival and brought out a celebratory cake at the end of the meal. There are so many times I have made notes in a reservation and even reminded them upon arrival just for them to forget, so I was really impressed by this. The beautiful ambiance and lobster pasta were also key in making this a 5 star experience. The only improvements would be cheaper parking options. It's a pretty expensive restaurant so having to pay an additional $15 to support their venue seems a bit much.

Yelp
The food is amazing, the fish market as a appetizers or main courses are the best I've ever tried, the romain salad is From another world, and the lobster pasta, is incredible

Yelp
At Avra, you're in for a delightful journey into traditional Greek cuisine. What truly sets them apart is their wide selection of fresh fish and diverse cooking methods, consistently delivering exceptional flavors. A special mention goes to the Portuguese sardines; they tend to fly off the menu, so grab them if available - you won't regret it. The caviar and oysters are simply exquisite, and they offer a well-curated selection of wines and cocktails. While the lobster pasta sounded promising, it didn't quite live up to expectations; it was nothing special. Now, let's talk dessert - Avra's cheesecake is, without a doubt, the best I've ever had. What truly elevates the Avra experience is its ambiance; the restaurant's space is thoughtfully designed to create the perfect dining atmosphere. Whether you choose to enjoy the sunset outdoors or opt for an indoor setting for a later dinner, Avra ensures a memorable dining experience. #bubblytip: If dining around the sunset timeframe, try to get seated outdoors -- you won't regret it

Yelp
* One of the most beautiful restaurants in South Florida * Elegant interior, pool and beach views from the outdoor patio * High end Fine Dining- Refined Greek Cuisine * Figure $100-200 per person depending on beverages * The focus is on fresh seafood * Reservations a MUST in season and weekends * Valet only parking $15+ * Ask for Omar or Marcos for extra special service Millions of dollars were spent to build this 10,000 square foot showcase restaurant at Acqualina on the Ocean in Sunny Isles Beach. The team at Avra has had great success for years with three popular restaurants in New York City and one in Beverly Hills. Since there are no prices on the online menus plan on spending $30-$50 for appetizers, $40-70 for entrees, $18 for cocktails and about three times retail for wine from their 17 page old world focused wine list. There are about 16 wine choices by the glass rating from $14-45, but nothing very inspiring for oenophiles. This is a place to come for fresh seafood. Non seafood eaters can find some great lamb chops, steak, vegetables and salads, but this is really about the freshest fish flown in from around the world and on display for you. There is an extensive choice of tartares, sashimi and ceviche, outstanding grilled octopus, crab cake, lobster cocktail, caviar. You can select a whole fish from the attractive display and have it prepared grilled, sautéed or even made into sashimi for an extra $25. Make sure to try the lemon sauce. How does it compare to Milos? Avra is more elegant with the views that Milos does not have. Milos is slightly better on the food. The Avra zucchini and eggplant chips are ok, but don't compare to the ultra thin ephemeral chips of Milos. Wine collectors can bring a wine here for $75 per bottle, Milos bans outside wine. Desserts are nothing special, try the luxurious Greek yoghurt.

Yelp
A true Meditterrean spot in the heart of Sunny Isles. An incredible backdrop of Miami Beach for a beautiful night out. Had the Miami Spice and went all out with their appetizers, entrees, and delictable desserts. Starting off with a giant portion of octopus. It was very filling and flavorful. The Saganaki eas top notch. Soft and warm, tastes so good, I wanted more. For the main course, i went woth the organic chicken with soft, garlicy potatoes. My girlfriend went their famous lobster pasta amd it did not disappoint. Amazingggg. Lastly, we had the orange cake and the rare olive oil cake. Both very moist and sweet. A perfect ending to a great Sunday night.

Yelp
Avra is inside Aqualina Estates, so we went around once. Parking is valet only. We went on a Tuesday evening. My friend had spoken to the manager previously to accommodate 8 people for the Miami Spice menu since usually is up to 6 people , so we were seated in a nice rectangular table. The service was excellent and the food was amazing. My branzino was cooked perfectly. My friends especially liked the grilled octopus and lobster pasta .

Yelp
On a date with my bestie, this is without an ounce of doubt, the best choice for a Miami Spice date, and we mutually agreed on this. She trusts me with restaurant choices but I might've outdone myself with this one because it's one for the books. Gorgeous lobby and bar area when you walk in, this is located at the Acqualina Resort and Residences in Sunny Isles area. It screams luxury and opulence and the crowd will show this even more because dress code here is "put on your best dress or suit" if you will. We had to wait a few minutes for our table so bestie and I waited at the stunning bar area and ordered the Avra Old Fashioned and Mykonos Greece. She did enjoy her cocktail for it was, according to her, very sweet and refreshing but definitely packing a punch because she's a lightweight when it comes to drinking and this cocktail had her feeling "woozy" and whatnot. My old fashioned, unfortunately, was not as good as most I've had although it was pretty strong. Maybe something was missing on the recipe but for $24 I'd have expected a perfectly mixed cocktail. After waiting a short 15 minutes for the table we were called to be seated and we were so fortunate to have Stella as our waitress because talk about the most cordial, warm and welcoming waitress I've interacted with this year. She was a breath of fresh air and made us feel like more than just patrons. Now let's break down what we had for Miami Spice options, shall we? Actually before I get into that, they brought us bread and the option was this "to die for" hummus like no other hummus I've ever tasted, anywhere. I usually skip the bread and butter part but this hummus was forget licking good so please do indulge on this complimentary treat. Anyways, back to regular critiquing... GRILLED OCTOPUS: for a $12 extra charge you get to taste one of the best octopus dishes in town. Sitting on onions, capers and bell peppers, this is one tender, flavorsome, perfectly cooked piece of jumbo octopus and that red wine vinaigrette sauce is the ideal side kick. My bestie was craving octopus and I told her this would most likely be, one of the best we'd both get to taste and after minutes of awe and mmms enjoying this delicacy, we both agreed with just a nod. GRILLED FAROE ISLAND SALMON: this was her main entree option, her being a salmon girl and all, cooked well done but just right. Imagine crispy on the outside but juicy and tender on the inside, again perfectly cooked just like the octopus. A few tasty veggies in the side, this dish also had her quiet for a while which is good testimony to the flawless cooking that's happening back there in the kitchen. LOBSTER PASTA: this is not by any means, your ordinary pasta dish, this was "heavenly" to say the least. For a $23 add'l charge you get wallow in this decadent and uniquely executed dish. Presentation wise 10/10. Head of lobsta on one end and tail on the other, with superbly cooked "Al dente" linguini on a rich tomato sauce sitting in the center of the dish. Now the portion for this dish is unlike most restaurants where "skimping" is the usual. I almost didn't finish the whole thing because of how much pasta was served. Maine lobster was fresh, tender and I didn't have to dig deep to find pieces of meat, they were very generous with the protein as well. This is one of those dishes that will bring you back many times over. STRAWBERRY CHEESECAKE: yes one of the most decadent cheesecakes I've tried, the strawberry gelatin on the side made it perfect. Beautiful presentation, the dish looked like a tiny piece of art exhibit. OLIVE OIL CAKE: like no other cake I've tried here or overseas, it is uniquely delicious and moist. I'd have to say the flavor that stands out more so than the olive oil is the lemon chantilly but together it translates into the absolute best duo. This is the one dessert I'd be craving on next visit although Stella did mention a one of a kind orange cake so we shall try and then compare the two. Ambiance and vibes at this fine dining establishment are what you would expect and nothing less. Again, service both at the bar, host and waitstaff is top notch. There's a valet when you arrive so there's no street parking because condo is on the east/ocean side of Collins but it's only $17 plus tip so isn't too bad and very convenient. My bestie and I left with full tummies and raving about our dining experience so needless to say, we are coming back....until next time folks.

Yelp
64th birthday - we drove down from Boca Raton today for an overnight & dinner. Sunday evening. 8:15 reservations What a treat for our first time here! Stunning vibrant space. Consider yourself fortunate if Simone is your server. Extremely knowledgeable, kind & made great recommendations- we went with the "Miami spice" menu with a couple upgrades. So kind- I received the olive oil cake as a birthday treat complete with a single candle & singing. We loved our experience & highly recommend!

Yelp
My friend and I went to Avra on Friday evening without a reservation and had no problem with seating. Everything we ordered was delicious! We got the grilled calamari, salmon tartare, Greek salad & the Chilean seabass. It was more than enough food for the two of us portion wise. We also each had a skinny margarita and a glass of Sancerre. The service was very attentive and hospitable and the restaurant itself is beautiful! Highly recommend avra.

Yelp
Beautiful restaurant at the Acqualina Estates. Also a great crowd. We ordered the: 1) Greek Salad - simple but delicious for a starter. 2) AVRA Eggplant and Zucchini Chips - comes with tzaziki. Nice portion, great for sharing. 3) Branzino for 3 - mild, flaky, cooked very well. 4) Lamb chops - delicious, large but pricey. 5) The spanakorizo & grilled vegetables side. 7) Baklava - comes with vanilla ice cream and pistachios. So good! The service was good, can't complain! Nice waiter, bussers were attentive and food came quickly.

Yelp
There's so much to say. Amazing is an understatement! You really have to try here for yourself! Strongly suggest patio seating, nothing like hearing the ocean. Calamari, Salmon and the Lobster pasta are by far my favorites. I went twice in one week, back to back. The service is very to the T! Ask to get a intro to the selection of fish and seafood the restaurant offers! My favorite restaurant at the moment! The views inside and outside are breathtaking! This restaurant is located in one of the top resorts and residence in the nation, so you can only imagine!
google avatar

Lisa M.

Yelp
My friend and I arrived and had drinks at the bar prior to being seated. Beautiful establishment. We ordered several appetizers as they were more appealing compared to entrees. The hummus selections were fresh and delicious. We also ordered the cauliflower steak and calamari. The service was excellent. Drinks were subpar with entire glass full of ice. I would like to try their brunch or would prefer to sit at the bar at my next visit.

Yelp
A perfect dining experience from valet to valet. The menu is not too small and not too large, offering many nice dishes with a Mediterranean twist. We shared the sea bass, mango salad, house Cabernet (perfectly good for our palates) and another appetizer. Our server was attentive, friendly and highly professional. This is a perfect spot for a date-night or a nice group dinner. With its soaring ceilings and Al fresco atmosphere, it made for an interesting backdrop to good conversation and my lovely dining companion.

Yelp
We truly had an unbelievable experience, and food at Avra never disappoints! So far I have been to Beverly Hill and Miami locations, and cannot wait for them to open more. The newly open Miami restaurant is absolutely stunning, with great and delicious menu and cocktail items. The service was great as well, and we're excited to go back very soon. Thank you for an amazing experience!!!

Yelp
Unbelievable experience, not just a delicious meal, but an evening to remember. This beautiful place straight out of a fairytale takes to a different place. Aside from traditional Greek fair and all kinds of fresh fish you will find other more exotic items on the menu like hamachi, salmon tartar and ceviche! The wine list has great options mostly available by the glass. The service is outstanding! Our waiter Bruno and his colleagues were wonderful. Bruno was very knowledgeable about the menu and passionate about the place:) We will certainly return

Yelp
I'll be honest, if you're going to Avra, you probably aren't relying on a Yelp review. But just in case, let me assure you that the food is fantastic, the service impeccable, and the atmosphere is incredible.

Yelp
Avra is a wonderful restaurant, great vibe, music, decor. Food was on point, the only thing is that they bring main entrees and we were still eating the appetizer. We will be back for sure.

Yelp
What a breathtaking restaurant. As soon as you walk in the ambiance is top tier. I was greeted immediately by the hostesses and since my friend was running late I sat at the bar for a about 15 minutes. The bar was great and the bartender got me going with a tasty Lemon Drop. Originally me and my friend wanted to sit outside to look at the view while we eat but unfortunately it was a rainy night so we ended up sitting inside. The restaurant was filled with couples, families and people of all ages and I loved that. They had some music playing but it wasn't too loud so it set the right tone. I really like that the kitchen was open concept and you could see everything. Our waiter David was the best, he was so friendly and made great suggestions for me and my friend. The house salad was good and I really loved the hummus it was paired with. We decided to get the Greek salad and Zucchini chips (a fan favorite) and omg this was the best Greek salad I ever had, the cheese was so fresh and the dressing was amazing!! The Zucchini chips were nothing short of amazing and I love that even though they were crispy they still had a good texture. David told us that we could share most of the entrees so I ordered the Lobster pasta and my friend ordered the Branzino. The Lobster pasta was so so so good, I got a bite of lobster in each bite and I loved the sauce. The Branzino was tasty and cooked to perfection. Such a great selection of food and everything exceeded my expectation. Overall we had a great girls night. The staff was so nice and the food and drinks were so good. Highly recommended.

Yelp
Good food and cocktails, but pushy and super rushed service. Beautiful place, too bad the service ruined my birthday dinner. Not up to Acqualina brand standards. Most likely won't be back.

Yelp

Yelp
Went there with my girls for a quick dinner. Was not disappointed place is very nice ambiance is very nice excellent service and great food

Yelp
Avra was one of the best restaurants I've ever been to in my life. The management and staff are top notch, and the food is right along with them. Do not miss your chance to go here. Just make sure you bring money

Dakota C.

Yelp
Quite possibly the best customer service I've ever had in any business in my entire life. Both the servers and the managers here know how to treat their customers! The food is great but the service is even better! Can't wait to go back!

Yelp
Way overpriced. To give you an example one potato cut into four wedges cost $15. Takes all the fun out of the nice ambience and service that the restaurant offers.

Yelp
First and foremost, AVRA Miami is a NEWLY opened Greek & Mediterranean restaurant in Sunny Isles Beach, FL at the Beautiful Acqualina Estates! If driving, valet parking is provided and for Acqualina Mansions and Acqualina Resort & Residences guests and residences there are walkways between the properties for ease getting to AVRA Miami. As we entered AVRA Miami, we were greeted immediately by the hostess who asked if we had a reservation and we confirmed. We were offered the option of having drinks at the wonderful bar area or being seated at our pace. We were seated at a nice table for four that we selected near the open kitchen area that including a "customer walk-up fresh fish and seafood" viewing area! A server approached almost immediately to offer sparkling or still water and complimentary fresh hot bread, their house premium select AVRA olive oil and olive tray. We did not feel pressured to order and server was very pleasant and we liked that he communicated early on that AVRA Miami had just opened up and that the kitchen and staff was still learning and that some items in the menu were not available yet. Example, the fresh fish selections could only be offered charcoal grilled for now but in the future would expand to pan seared and salt-crusted as the kitchen expanded its offerings. He asked how we wanted our meal paced and said he would not rush us and that we didn't have a specific time limit on our table like some other restaurants that limit your table to 90-120 minutes. We ordered several appetizers to share and all were awesome. The best app was the Greek Salad with the best fresh veggies and tomatoes and large enough to share. For our main course, our party of four shared a 3.5 pound Mediterranean fish (forgot name) but it was not branzino. The whole fish was charcoal grilled and very good. The server de-boned this fish table-side and plated for the four of us! Since we had ordered four appetizers, we only ordered the Oregano Fries and they were enough to share and prepared thicker "steak-fry" style. After our main course, we wanted coffee and expresso but were told they didn't have certain items available yet and no espresso! We shared a nice dessert and our server brought some complimentary cookies since he could not provide espressos! The location inside the Acqualina Estates, atmosphere, elegance, ambiance and fun meter get 5 Stars! The cuisine - food was fresh, well prepared and served well! I gave AVRA MAIMI 4 stars only because they just opened and could not offer the full menu or experience. Yes, AVRA is considered $$$ to $$$$ expense wise when compared to Sea Grill or other similar "Greek" establishments, but the location and experience dictate the pricing! We are somewhat foodies and dine all over the world and the Miami area and AVRA Miami was a great experience for our group! We will definitely be back AFTER the AVRA chef and kitchen staff get the "kinks" worked out a little more and after the AVRA mgt are able to offer the full menu and full AVRA Miami experience. AVRA Miami is definitely a nice edition and new offering to the North Miami and Sunny Isles Beach area!

Yelp
Chicken was dry. Salads were mediocre. Steaks were good. Ahi Tuna dish barely had fish. Service was horrible.

Yelp
All around terrific Greek cuisine and lovely ambiance! I would definitely return to this restaurant if I could only get a reservation lol

Yelp
Pricey but tasty food, attentive service, great wine list and a fantastic, beach-front view. Salt crusted fish was yummy, delicious appetizers but disappointing desserts.

Yelp
One of the most gorgeous restaurants I've ever been to, people and ambiance. Unfortunately I thought the drinks were better than the food. I would go back for drinks, def not the food.

Yelp
Beautiful space with a great people watching scene. Food is very good but it's definitely overpriced. Avra chips are delicious, fish is well-prepared. But wait, $21 for a scoop of ice cream? I guess we were paying for the people watching!

Yelp
Incredible restaurant! The location is beautiful, the service was impeccable. They truly took care of me and my family through out the whole dinning experience. The food was super good. The fish market allows you to see and select the fish and how to have it prepared. I cannot recommend this place enough. The avrà chips, roasted beets, halloumi were great appetizers. We chose the whole scorpion fish, sardine like fish, and seared tuna for our main courses. Everything was super fresh and delicious!

Yelp
For a new restaurant contending for the South Florida Greek Food championship they did a pretty good job but Greek Island Tavern is still the champ in an overtime win. I will also say for fine dinning Greek food Avra blows Mylos away!! Some of the things that cost them some points. The Greek salad was underwhelming and coming from someone who makes the best Greek salad dressing in the world I know what I'm talking about. It needed more cucumber a little more Greek oregano and mor red wine vinegar and a little dried mint wouldn't hurt either. For 31.00 they could toss in a few.more olives also. Next the octopus was also underwhelming. No char and not enough olive oil and no lemon. Octopus has to have lemon. Wouldn't order again. It's a shame cause Greeks make some the best octopus anywhere. Sophia's in Margate NJ comes to mind with their grilled baby octopus to die for. Music was cool at first but the repetitive loud beat after a while got annoying. Now for the good. It's an absolutely stunning restaurant!! Beautiful bar area with spacious dinning areas that are breathtaking. 7 stars on decor. Good portions served for our drinks with no arthritis in bartender's wrist when they were pouring our scotches. That's very important! A recommendation here. The servers should give a better description of the fishes since many of the fish in the market area are unfamiliar to most people. Our server did a fair at best description of each fish. Better descriptions such as the taste compared to more families fish would be helpful. Is it delicate/ flaky is it dense is it a strong fish or mild, darkish or white flesh etc. Telling us the names and prices wasn't sufficient or this one is a little stronger than this one or that one. Having said that the Chilean sea bass was great and the big eye tuna steak was off the charts good. The one Greek fish ordered wasn't a big hit. Too strong. One other little item. I asked for wasabi, ginger and soy sauce for my tuna steak. No wasabi. My friends all said why would they have wasabi in a Greek restaurant. To which I replied why would a Greek restaurant have sashimi on the menu.? So if you're gonna have sashimi on the menu which I love the idea you should have wasabi. Haloumi appetizer is superb! Lamb chops are amazing again should be served with lemon!! Sides were fantastic! Horta, broccoli rabe and another green I can't recall all got devoured. Bread was delicious with Avra olive oil was a treat. A superior oil like this needs to have salt on the table to enhance the flavor. Deserts were fantastic with Backlava Orange cake and yogurt stealing the show. Overall had great time will definitely be going back even though a little pricey which is to be expected being located in the Aqualina Estates. I'm glad there in the neighborhood and have no doubt they'll be at 5 stars in the near future. PS: Did I mention the outdoor seating area? It overlooks the pool with ocean view! Stunning!! The people watching view was pretty good too!

Yelp
Just left this beautiful establishment. Yes, it is beautiful and the food is also great. Why the 2 stars ? Beware of the ribeye on their menu We asked the server if we should get the filet or the ribeye. As they do mention that it is eye of the rib-eye a tiny filet came to our table. We assumed they made an error and didn't complain and ate it. Upon the bill coming I informed the server that we were brought the filet instead of ribeye and the server proceeded to explain that it WAS the ribeye. When asking which option is better it would have been an appropriate time to mention they were just about the same size. Upon bringing this to the servers attention she said she can have the manager come and explain and stated she was also surprised when she saw it herself. I said it's fine She came back saying the manager also said many people complain and are confused as well. Excuse me ?????? At this point, being a new establishment something as small as a dessert would have rectified the situation Unhappy and won't return

Yelp
By far the best thing about Avra is the absolutely spectacularly gorgeous room that is just perfectly put together in every respect. Once you get past that you are dining in a poor man's Milos with mediocre food and service. Granted tonight was only official night two so while the service will certainly tighten up, the quality of the food most likely will not. The beautiful part of eating at Milos is the freshness of the vegetables and the quality of the meat and fish. I know this is supposed to be a review of Avra but certainly it is constantly going to be compared to Milos and you cannot even put the two of them in the same sentence. While Avra will certainly be a great time, it will never be more than a passable meal much like it's brothers in NYC. If you're looking for the best Greek salad and Branzino in town, head to South Beach, but if you're looking for a decent meal and to see a bunch of scantily clad young women then Avra will suffice just fine.

Yelp
This place sure is beautiful. I wish the food was good besides the chips and the Greek salad. Lamb came out raw (we ordered medium), grilled cheese was served cold, mojitos came out tasting like pure alcohol and lime juice.... The server was mad at us when...we felt guilty telling her about the issues. The manager never checked in on us given all the issues. Heard great things about the place our experience was very disheartening.

Yelp
@avramiami at the new @estatesatacqualina serving us delicious Greek Seafood Oceanside where the vistas and the decor are spectacular. The food was on par with some of the Best in the Country and being in Sunny Isles gives residents another option to enjoy. Kudos to @atsavos who personally took care of us and Thank you to the entire team who served us flawlessly
