Awabi

"Owner and self-taught chef, Stephen, takes inspiration from his travels and discoveries across Asia when compiling the immensely appealing menu at this cute neighbourhood spot, which resembles something between a little bistro and an izakaya. There are lots of local ingredients, the bao buns are delicious, and be sure to end with the Japanese French toast." - Michelin Inspector

Very tasty food. I came for the vegan options and they are clearly marked on the menu, which I like. The edamame was a generous portion, as was the main meal. The small bottle of water was overpriced, otherwise, all good.

Absolutely amazing! The food was delicious and would love to eat there every single day. The drink selection was good, the food selection was good. The menu isn't massive but it was amazing. Next time I go back I will go with more people so we can share more dishes! The service was good even though they were busy. Make sure you book a table/seat online before you go to avoid any disappointment. Highly recommend the kimchi pancakes, the steamed dumplings and the mochi balls. The staff were lovely and if you're sat at the bar then you get to watch the cocktails being made by a lovely barman who is nice and chatty.

Awabi is brilliant, the type of place I immediately want to go back to to eat my way through the other half of the menu. On this occasion we tried quite a lot of the small plates, which were all delicious - I'd highlight the Sichuan chicken wings and the golden sand prawns if need be, but they were all equally delicious, really. Thought we'd seen the best of it then, but the desserts almost stole the show: HK French toast oozing in condensed milk and salty custard, and 'late night cereal eaten by the fridge' (delicious crumbs with milk ice cream, and if that sounds simple, just try it and see), both outstanding. And I'm not even a dessert person. Extra shout-out to the drinks too, and generally the atmosphere - just so much love for this place! Thank you!

Tasty food left me wanting more. Hopefully I would get to return and try other dishes. The lamb noodle soup I had was packed full of flavour and the lamb was roasted to perfection. The decor of the place also gets my thumbs up.

Great food. Waitresses were not attentive we had to flag them down to come give us water and more food. Good restaurant

Best restaurant on the island. You honestly can’t have a bad meal here. Some of my favourites include the smacked cucumber salad, green beans with pork and Szechuan spice, Sichuanese chicken wing, honey beef with black pepper and potatoes, pork dumplings, pork bao and the Hong Kong French toast. These are just a few highlights, with plenty more I haven’t even mentioned. Everything is packed with flavour and always spot on.

One of my favorite places to eat in Jersey. The food is very delicious and so flavorsome. The menu is always changing, great for when you’re returning. The ambiance is lovely and all the staff is friendly. I would suggest booking, especially if you’re coming in the evening. They have a great booking system on their website. I’d recommend trying the rice cakes (from the snacks menu). I also quite enjoy having the small plates over one large one as you really get to sample all the different flavors.

Quaint restaurant with attentive staff. Food was tasty and fresh. Love the concept of small and large plates. A great mix and match. I will certainly visit again!
