I really, really, really enjoy going to Away Days. The ownership are such a gracious couple who clearly appreciate doing what they do. I was there this weekend for some of the Euro futball games and it sent me back to back in the day when they still had the Toffee Club up & running and we went for the world cup. Their beers are solid and they always have a cider on tap. It's such a chill atmosphere every time we've been in. It really does have a nice European vibe inside. Normally they don't have food other than some funly flavored British crisps that are a delight, but for the Euros they've had available a couple of sandwich options that are heated in the little oven. I had the chicken, bacon, & cheddar ciabatta during the game yesterday and for a quick sandwich, it was really delicious. The Hawthorne asylum carts are a block away and you can bring in outside food also. But man, oh man, that sandwich hit the spot. Given all the inflation we've been seeing, I thought that $10 was a very fair price, especially since it was a heated sandwich and not just straight out of the fridge. I love this place; it is a gem. I'm looking forward to seeing more of the Euros there and I'm looking forward to visiting their new space once they upgrade!
Thank you, Away Days, for making the world a better place with the wonderful community that you've built.
