Had been here for Valentine’s Day. Reservations are recommended as they can get crowded. The ground level area was nice and warm with live music. However the host seated us upstairs which was not great. It was cold upstairs with terribly loud tables which made the experience unpleasant. We started with pita bread and hummus and a fried cauliflower appetizer called zahir. Some of the best hummus I have ever eaten. Zahir was good as well, I wish they were more generous with the sauce drizzled on top. For the mains we got lamb kebab and fattat jaj- a 6 layer chicken dish. Food tasted good. Lamb kebabs were rubbery and chewy and the portion size was very small. 6 layer dish was good, would have loved more sauce as it became dry after a point. We followed with kunafa and mint tea. Kunafa was good but there is room for improvement. Also tried their pistachio dream cake which was delicious. I wish they had taken efforts to Atleast decorate the place for Valentine’s Day. Upstairs area had nothing except plastic tables and chairs.

Absolutely beautiful space, decor and atmosphere. I dined on a Sunday where it was very quiet minus a few others so it felt nice to have the place to myself. I got to sit right under the heat which was absolutely amazing on a cold day like that one, and sometimes NY restaurants have bad heating systems. I had the lamb kebab dish. It was pretty tasty. I assumed it to be a bigger portion than it was (I did order the small but still was surprised) and I did give feedback that the sound of the fork scraping on the plates made for an uncomfortable audio experience lol. However, I’d go back and recommend people to check it out. There needs to be more Palestinian restaurants on the map

We started with the cold mezze appetizer and all the dips were so fresh and flavorful, the roasted pepper dip was my favorite. next I had the mixed grill platter and oh man that food was good Finally, the service was excellent, Shondel was our server and she was so friendly and attentive. I will definitely be returning with friends and family. Please give this restaurant a try

Poppi and Shondelle were great hosts! They made my Grams birthday celebration so special. Yes! To the cake and birthday song playing on the speakers and the surprise of it all! They did it because they wanted my Grams to feel great, and she did. The food was amazing. We had lentil soup, labneh, pizza, lamb skewers, chocolate cake, pistachio cheesecake, and even the presentation was robust. We had a problem with the hibiscus mocktail being too tart, and the lady who made it came out and asked to made it sweeter for us. There was a slender gentleman who warmly greeted us at the door when we came in. So glad I brought my Grams here. She had never had Palestinian food, and she was not disappointed. Poppi made my Grams feel like she was his own relative and that was above and beyond what we could have asked for. I know I'm am misspelling names but I had to shout out the team. The only thing was it was cold in there but it's been really cold lately. We just kept our coats on.

This place is SO. GOOD. Everything on the menu is amazing but having been here a few times, my standouts are the mezze platter and the fattat lahma! The mint tea is also the perfect hot lil drink to sip on. The staff is super attentive and nice!

Here's My Favorite. "I'm still reeling from the incredible dining experience I had at Ayat Palestinian Food in Brooklyn! As a huge fan of Middle Eastern cuisine, I can confidently say that Ayat serves up some of the best dishes I've ever had the pleasure of trying. From the moment we walked in, the warm and inviting atmosphere immediately drew us in. The decor is beautifully designed, with vibrant colors and traditional Palestinian accents that transport you straight to the Middle East. But the real star of the show is, of course, the food. We ordered a variety of dishes to share, including the musakhan, shawarma, and maqluba, and every single bite was absolute perfection. The flavors are bold and rich, with a clear passion for traditional Palestinian cuisine shining through in every dish. The service was also top-notch, with friendly and attentive staff who were happy to answer all our questions about the menu and offer recommendations. Overall, I would highly recommend Ayat Palestinian Food to anyone looking for an authentic and delicious Middle Eastern dining experience in Brooklyn. We can't wait to come back and try more of the menu!"

Had always wanted to try this restaurant in the neighborhood and finally got the chance. I got the chicken kebab and my bf got the beef shawarma platter with served side vegetables and rice. They also gave complimentary pita bread. My chicken kebab was juicy and would rate it 4.3/5. The only thing I can add is a bit more seasoning maybe on the chicken but i loved the texture and was easy to chew I tried my bf’s order of beef shawarma and it was also good however it has a strong after taste to it. Has a crunchy texture which I like. I would rate it 3.6/5 for me since there was maybe a cheesy flavor and a lamby taste afterwards Also had the pistachio dream cake which was cherry on top for our meal. (Gotta love the “not too sweet” combination) I definitely recommend this place since they have an extensive menu of different kinds that we want to come back and try!
