The 38 Best Restaurants in Mumbai, India | Eater

"A late night of drinking in Mumbai has to end with a customary roll at one of the city’s Mughlai or Punjabi restaurants. Ayub’s is an old-timer in the city, having served billionaires and students in equal measure. Get a plate of mutton baida roti (bread stuffed with eggs and minced lamb), paneer tikka roll (cottage cheese wrapped inside pillowy roomali roti), and a side plate of bhurji (hard-curd scrambled eggs tossed with masalas). Everything pairs well with a bottle of Coke." - Sumedh Natu

On the positive side, the sitting area was hygienic, and the sliced onions and chutney provided a nice touch. However, I felt that Ayub's is somewhat overhyped and offers limited quantity for the price point. I would recommend Ayub's if you're specifically in the mood for rolls, but keep in mind that there might be better options available in terms of taste and value for money.

🔥 Ayubs’ Paneer Roll – A Chilli Burn Chronicle 🔥 This isn’t just a roll. It’s a dare wrapped in rumali roti. The first bite lulls you in — soft paneer, smoky grill marks, a hint of mint. But don’t be fooled. By the second bite, the chilli kicks in like a flamethrower. It’s not a casual spice; it’s a full-body experience. Lips tingling, eyes watering, and a slow burn that climbs from your throat to your soul. The masala is unapologetically bold, clinging to the paneer like it’s got unfinished business. There’s no relief, just pickled onions that mock your suffering and a chutney that whispers “you asked for this.” You stand there, roll in hand, sweat on brow, surrounded by fellow masochists who came for the same punishment. And somehow, you love it. You crave it. You plan your next burn. Final word: Ayubs’ Paneer Roll isn’t food. It’s a rite of passage. If you’re not crying by the end, you didn’t do it right!

Place for excellent rolls in Mumbai Tried the sheekh roll, egg roll and chicken tikka roll. It was awesome and the spicy chutney had a nice kick. This place is no frill place which is open late in the night

This establishment in Fort offers in-car food service, and I have been a patron for several years. The quality of the food, however, has demonstrated inconsistency, ranging from exceptional to unsatisfactory. Ultimately, the dining experience is contingent upon the quality of the food on a given visit. Famous for non vegetarian Rolls.

We were recommended Ayub's by some of our friends. I was bit apprehensive as 2 of us were Non vegetarians and 1 was a vegetarian. Must mention all of us were happy when we walked out.... Absolutely fabulous food . Amazing service. Their spicy green chutney is to die for.. Vegetarians should ask for their paneer and Aloo platter Veg options are quite a few. Some items are pricey but taste is epic. To end the meal grab their caramel custard.. trust me that's the only way to kill the spice

They serve on of the best roll in the area and the resturant serves till 2 am. The place is always crowded with families, couples, friends and with great taste and service. The chutneis served with sliced onion is a must try and if one's taste buds can't take heat please keep mazaa handly. The combination tastes yum with roll. They have other options also to offer and each one has its own usp. If you are travelling with family and need to sit inside make sure to reach before 12 am. The food is also served in your car in the parking.

During my visit to Ayub's Restaurant, I tried their chicken tikka roll, which had a decent taste but lacked the juiciness that a tikka should have. Later, I ordered an omelette roll, which turned out to be bland and not worth the price.
