Love these tacos!!! 1.99 Tuesdays can't beat it! The horchata is hands down the BEST I have ever had as they make all their drinks fresh daily! The staff was so friendly and the atmosphere was very nice and clean! Definitely going back next Tuesday :)

Google
This was my second visit. Last time I had the relleno enchilada plate with green sauce. This time I had the tostada enchilada plate. The plates come with rice and beans. I prefer the green sauce but I prefer green over red everyday. Their salsa was very good, but the guacamole isn't my favorite. They have various drinks and both times I was there they had a daily special that was cheaper. The drinks are fountain Coke, Mexican coke, horchata and limeade. It's one of my new favorite places.

Google
split chimichanga by 2 ppl and it was a decent portion size and 5.50 per person

I have lived in AZ for 50 years and Have had Mexican food for the duration. It could have been a bad day at this place, This is by far the most non-descript, tasteless, sub-mediocre mexican food that I have ever had.Service was good. Since the food quality was sub-meciocre, the price was too high.

Luis Macias

Google
I have had everything on their menu, but what I’ve had has been great. The soups/caldos are tasty, the menudo is delicious and their tacos are great. The attention from the employees is outstanding.

Christina “Chrissy1NO” McCoy

Google
This place is an AZ GEM!!! Shrimp tacos were delicious and the fresh salsa was packed with flavor. Ari the gentlemen that took care of me gave me many options and was patient with me with it being my first time coming but it won’t be my last!!!

Google
Gracefully prepared protien bowl as they offered. But it really was a Delicious Taco Salad; a bed of beans, stripped lettuce, dice onions n tomatoes, cilantro with shreded grill chicken on top with red home salsa on the side. Yuuummy!! Oooh they have Flan too!! Clean, homey n very attenatives overall with their service. The soccer games on Sunday afternoon gave it the perfect Mexican Flair to top off the experience. Definetly going back ;).

Google
Amazing spot to get tacos. I had two carne asada tacos and one al pastor and it was amazing. The blend of fresh meat, cilantro, yellow and green onions had a nice savory taste. I asked for green sauce which kicked up the flavor a notch. The al pastor was closer to a pork longaniza. Hot and spicy but more meaty than chorizo. As for the service we got our tacos in around five minutes. Of course it wasn't really all that busy but I always appreciate my food being fast and fresh. Overall this is a great hole in the wall spot if you're looking for tacos. They also have menudo and other specialty Mexican foods. Next time I'd give some menudo a try.

Yelp
The tacos were average. Good, not bad or great. If I lived closer and didn't know a better place I'd definitely go here. The service was great, the price was fair and the quality was good. The restaurant was clean and had adequate seating and very comfortable. There is nothing bad about this restaurant but also nothing that stands out where I'd say you have to go here because it's got the best "something ". That's why it gets 3 stars if you follow my reviews.

Yelp
I lived in Chandler for a few years and always ordered the same beef burrito from here. It was the best burrito I ever ate. Now I live all the way in San Tan Valley and find myself craving the burrito all of the time. Can't wait till I'm in the vicinity of this place again.

Yelp
Went for lunch with my husband and we enjoyed all our food! I had three tacos: cabeza, al pastor, and carne asada. My husband had a burrito. Everything was flavorful and delicious. Reasonably priced and quick service. Come support this small local business!

Yelp
The food is always consistent. Just a few things you should know ahead of time. Chips and Salsa are extra. The large 20 ounce Aguas Frescas are about $5 each which is unheard of. The breakfast burrito has a $1 extra charge for your choice of protein like sausage which we thought was part of the menu choice. There's also a debit/card fee. Overall, portions are great and this is a good menudo spot. We just thought for 2 adults and 1 child it was pricey.

Yelp
Really great family restaurant, small quaint and clean. The restrooms were squeaky clean. I ordered the Camarones de ajo (picture a Mexican version of the "Hawaiian Garlic Shrimp Plate", which was sooo good. We also ordered some soft tacos. Definitely surprised us how good the food was.

Yelp
Great food. Also, this review needs to be at least 85 characters for me to post it according to Yelps rules!

Yelp
Very large and tasty carne asada burrito... The green salsa is drinkable it is SO good. The carne asada bowl is also nice and comes in a fried tortilla bowl. Friendly service and nice ambiance for a taqueria.

Yelp
Amazing, definitely going to come back. Reminds me of Mexican food I'd get in Texas, I missed that.

Adriana H.

Yelp
I ordered menu. $13.00 worth of 80% broth. 20% harmony and tripe. It was bland. No taste Poor packaging. Saturating the bottom of the bag with the broth. Paper bag in which the bread was in was also wet. I called to complain with no results. He told to have Uber eats refund me. I asked, why are they responsible for a refund? The carrier left my order with care. Never again will I waste my money on this restaurant. Terrible experience with the customer service. I don't recommend this restaurant. Very dissatisfied.

Yelp
I randomly was craving Asada fries and came here since it's right by my place. The price is $10. The fries, while hot, were soggy. I actually, picked out a lot of the fries and put them in my air fryer to cook a little longer and get a crunch. That did the trick. Visited: 10/25/21

Yelp
Best Menudo ever! I've also had tacos, burritos and enchiladas here and they are all delicious... I've lived in Chandler now for 20+ years and this place is my Saturday/Sunday go to for those pesky hangovers lol
google avatar

Yelp
Update 08/10/19: The post you see below was 3 years ago. My statement still stands, and my affinity for the menudo has only intensified. ********************************************** Typically I wait to try a few things in the menu before I review a restaurant. This is just for the readers looking for something on Saturday or Sunday. That something, is the menudo. It's perfect. Buy it.

Yelp
Great authentic mexican food. I am always happy with the food and service every time I go!

Lawrence Q.

Yelp
Ordered a carnita burrito when I say small I mean wow don't waste 10 bucks go anywhere else ridiculous I would recommend del taco at this point there burrito are bigger than what I got
google avatar

Yelp
Mucho Taco falls closer to 2.5 stars-average. The prices are very good and the staff was very friendly. Let me start with some positives: the salsa was fresh and tasty as in these were whole tomatoes 5 minutes ago. veggies on the tacos were also fresh and crisp. I had a fish taco & a carnitas taco-total about $4.50. The fish was decent but the carnitas was pretty gristly. I overheard the kitchen staff talking to a customer and found out that they make liberal use of the "L" word here. That's right, old school cookin' for better or worse; Lard.
google avatar

Michelle D.

Yelp
Tried carne asada tacos from here as a rush order because my previous Postmates order (from another taco shop) was backed up over an hour so I was HUNGRY. I was super disappointed, and basically had to throw away four whole tacos because the flavor in the carne asada is beyond bland and unseasoned. It tasted funky and it didn't matter how much salt, onion and cilantro was on there, it didn't help. What a waste.

Nelson R.

Yelp
Amazing traditional Mexican dishes. Best beans anywhere, green and red chili are a favorite too.
google avatar

Veronica H.

Yelp
My husband and I love his place. Great food, quick service and consistent! Our only complaint is the portions, not enough to fill us up for dinner.
google avatar

Emma C.

Yelp
Mucho de nada. My fish taco consisted of three nuggets of very deep fried "fish" laying into mini tortillas covered with shredded iceberg. I skipped the entire fish taco and had the soupy refried beans and overcooked rice that came with it. The highlight was our our waiter, great guy, on top of his incoming orders and tables. Ron had an enchilada combo, cheese and chicken. Those two minuscule items bathed in a bloody tomato soup.
google avatar

Avery P.

Yelp
Ate here for the first time today. We had carne asada tacos, Al pastor tacos, and a carne asada burrito. Everything was great!
google avatar

Joby S.

Yelp
I went here about a month ago, and it was great. I got a mix of tacos and the quality was fantastic. I was especially impressed with the tripa. It was crispy and very flavorful. The salsa was so so, but the flavor of the tacos and meat made up for it. If I had to find one flaw, it would be the thickness of their tortillas. They were corn, but they felt a little thick and mealy. But it was basically negligible since the tacos were so good. I will be back to try their other dishes.
google avatar

Ron R.

Yelp
My wife and I were in the area and decided to give them a try. We were not impressed. The gentleman at the counter who took our order was very nice and professional however that was the highlight of our lunch. I ordered one cheese and one chicken enchilada and Emma ordered fish tacos with beans and rice. The enchiladas were extremely small, not very tasty and they were floating in the enchilada sauce. Emmas fish tacos were so deep fried all she tasted was the deep fried breading. She wasn't quite sure if there was fish under all that breading. Fortunately she had beans and rice to eat. I realize the cost of our lunch wasn't that much but we really expected better. No need for us to go back there.

Yelp
This Mexican place AMAZING, I've been going here for years and the quality is still great to this day. The carne asada burrito is outstanding and the flavors are amazing. The three tacos are excellent as well especially because you can choose your meats for each taco. Overall I would recommend this place to anyone and will continue to go here
google avatar

Priscila A.

Yelp
It was ok, place was kinda empty. We ordered tacos and the pastor was fair but the carne asada had no flavor. Oh and gotta buy the guac separate (muy triste porque sin guacamole no son tacos lol) The one thing i really liked though was the salsa with the chips, i approve of that salsa!

Luis R.

Yelp
A very Good beef & vegetable soup. There other dishes good as well. Like there tacos, & flautas.
google avatar

Amiee A.

Yelp
Was in the area looking for a taco Tuesday special and the deal 5 for $11 plus medium beverage was too good to pass up. Delicious carne asada soft tacos! 3 kinds of salsa and plenty of limes. Very flavorful. We will be back.
google avatar

Iliana M.

Yelp
Looove Mucho Taco. Carnitas, carne asada, and pollo are all so good. I've tried the burritos, quesadillas, rolled tacos, soft tacos, and breakfast plates - have not been disappointed. We order from here at least once every two weeks, it's definitely a favorite!
google avatar

Kelly S.

Yelp
2.5 stars. I'm not sure what happened but this place wasn't nearly as great as our 1st few times here. Younger girl at register...not very nice, didn't know specifics about ingredients or menu items. Her mom ended up taking our order, just as unfriendly...not mean, just not customer service friendly. Food= they use lard, which is pork and gross af. The shredded beef tacos were ick because they add some sauce to the meat. Carne asada tacos are still amazing. They didn't have flan but they had it on the menu Very disappointing visit.
google avatar

Gabriela M.

Yelp
Menudo is really good here, but had the caldo de rez that taste like water no flavor I let the owner know and instead of apologizing she got offended..
google avatar

Robert R.

Yelp
Never been a bad time to come here, food is always on point, friendly and they always seem happy. Wish I could eat here more often
google avatar

Andrew S.

Yelp
Ironically, I did not order the tacos, even though that is my staple choice at a new Mexican restaurant. Instead, I opted for a chicken, bean and rice burrito. It wasn't half bad! I added lots of the hot sauce and thought the overall consistency was great. The chicken was tender and flavors tasted fresh. My gf was not overjoyed with her Chimichanga meal, which was rather sloppy and wet. It had some crispy parts, but just wasn't up to her standards. She agreed the burrito was much better. Our carry out order included several chips (6-7) and sauces. We ate some of the spicy carrots while we waited, which were ok. For being a hole in the wall Mexican place with a funny name, I liked it.
google avatar

Mercy M.

Yelp
We were too lazy to drive out to our usual place so we tried this place it was good. We give it more like 3.5 because they put red sauce instead of green on my tamales & although my rice had good flavor it was brown & slightly crunchy like I got the scrapes from the bottom of the pan. Red & green salsas were good & customer service was on point.
google avatar

Kyle H.

Yelp
To be honest... I have no idea what these low reviewers got when they came here because I received 5-star all around. After I left I actually felt bad for not leaving more of a tip - it was that good. I didn't expect much but the food came out lightning fast and it was very good. The service was amazing with the fella working came out to see how we were doing and even offered to put the unfinished ice-cream (that the kid didn't eat) back in the freezer while we ate.
google avatar

Sarah O.

Yelp
I come here for one thing... The grilled chicken chimichangas with the red sauce on the side so i can use it for dipping. I cannot tell you what is all in it but the grilled chicken alone is fantastic. Do i love the price for all of this...I guess. Its not a stellar deal or anything but its like a once a month or every other month thing for me. I love that the place gives you chips and salsa before your meal but i usually like to wait for my actual meal so i am not absurdly full from stuffing my face before hand. Believe me Chimichangas are not good later on so you have to have an appetite on you for sure. Horchata is okay. Not my favorite either seems too watery in my opinion, I love it when horchata is more on the creamy slightly sweeter side rather than watery and kind of sweet. One guy that works here knows my friend who is hooked to this place and got me started so when we walk through he already knows. The girl who cannot do her makeup for the life of her on the other hand is a different story.

Jay P.

Yelp
Ordered via Uber eats for the first time. Most bland carne Asada tacos ever. The meat literally taste like rubber and some of it was burnt!

Erika L.

Yelp
L A D I E S in the kitchen, oof the burrito I order was so amazing thank you so so much. I drive for Uber eats so I saw your spot right next to one of my pick ups and was super hungry but looking for something fast and tasty and so happy I found this spot

Yelp
I had driven by this place for a long time due only to it's choice of name and location - I thought "Mucho Taco in a strip mall, how good could that really be?" A friend of mine recommended, so I suggested to my Pops and we checked it out on a weekend menudo outing. I was very pleasantly surprised. That was some time ago - it is now our normal Mexican food choice. We have not gotten too adventurous (as have some other reviewers) but I can attest to the deliciousness of the menudo (red), carnitas, carne asada, caldo de res and caldo de pollo. The churro's are always fresh and piping hot! I love the Limonada too. As others have mentioned - great staff - you will likely see the owner working here. They are always friendly and attentive. The atmosphere - it's a real small place with no frills.
google avatar

Macey S.

Yelp
My burrito was cooked fresh and tasted delicious. I ordered the Carne Asada burrito with rice. Green sauce on the side. Carne Asada was not too spicy, a bit dry, but service was prompt, friendly and the place was clean. Not sure if the sauce is homemade or not but it is certainly delicious. It did smell a bit like cigarettes and the smell wasn't coming from outside. I was the only one there.

Chris E.

Yelp
Ordered two Carne Asada burritos While 90% of the time they are awesome. These last two that I had were difficult to eat. The amount of gristle in the steak made it impossible to even chew. I had to throw out a majority of the meat. Other than that, the food there is very good, and the service is fast. Just need to work on food quality or at least the quality of the steak.
google avatar

Yelp
Really good tacos, not a bad price, Mexican Coke and free chips and salsa if u eat in? I'm ok with that. Will for sure be coming back

Yelp
Hoping for an indigenous Mexican food experience ( having read so on Yelp) I trundled to this place (which is next to iMart, A thai restaurant and a newly opened "Deshi snack food store". Service: Good and very friendly. I got the salsa/chips and the verde /roja spicy sauce for my taco served t me. I also got the medium Jamaica (even though I paid for the small). I also helped myself to their pickled Carrot and Serrano peppers (mmmm Spicy.. though I prefer the grilled peppers from Senor taco) Food: I chose to order the more adventurous Tripe, head and Shrimp tacos. Tripe: Rather gamey and had a smell like the cow was having a bad day when it got chosen to be eaten Head: Interesting taste and smell (tasted a lot like a slightly off Carne asada). I was expecting portions of brain as well (but maybe after Bovine Spongi..what not, its probably safer that I didn't) Shrimp: Bit overdone (hence rubbery) but with a good griil aroma and flavor. Authenticity: Definitely Net Impression: Will go here again and order the more traditional fare. I'm leaning towards the mole to make my final decision. As always Mom and Pop authentic stores always has a soft corner for me.

Melyssa P.

Yelp
The food and salsa is sooo bland. I recently moved from California and have been trying out different Mexican restaurants and I ordered a carne Asada torta and a al pastor taco and it had absolutely no flavor I poured two different types of salsa on it and it gave it no flavor and I ended up throwing it in the trash!!!
google avatar

Hilly C.

Yelp
Loving this place, I came across by chance a few months ago , very small place hidden in a shopping center , great carnitas , tripas and tortas ! Good service , I usually order for pick up and they get my order just right ! Lots of flavor and great prices
google avatar

Kayla D.

Yelp
I was introduced to this place from a good coworker and am so grateful for the recommendation. I am not gonna lie--this restaurant is in an older shopping center but don't allow to the outdated decor to deter you. Plus, there's always takeout. I seriously eat at this place weekly and love their enchilada sauce. I am addicted to their beans and rice, which is full of such flavor that I never expected to be in beans and rice. Their tostadas are out of this world and I haven't tried anything that I didn't find delicious. Their horchata is also a must. I always order my food to go from Mucho Taco and the staff is always friendly and courteous. I have dealt with some restaurants that can have their share of rude employees when it comes to the phone but Mucho Taco is not one of those places. As many times as I've called, they are always polite and my food is always ready to go when I arrive. I can't recommend them enough to anyone passing by, or for someone who wants a delicious Mexican dinner without having to think about it (or do dishes!!).
google avatar

Jane C.

Yelp
Authentic flavor for a good price :) Grabbed a carne asada burrito here for $6.50 last weekend, the perfect amount of spicy! Employees are really friendly and offer great service. Will definitely be back.
google avatar

J.A. H.

Yelp
We eat here a lot and enjoy the made-to-order food. It's authentic Mexican, and a family-run small business. The owner does most of the cooking. When he recognizes a regular, he always peeks thru the kitchen window to wave. They substitute without fuss or charges. They also have bottled Mexican Coke, Fanta, and others, in addition to Capri Sun, Gatorade, and fountain drinks. Free chips and salsa if you dine in. Not for carryout, which is a bummer if you are in a hurry. 2 bad things - it's so popular, often it's hard to find a place to sit...and the tables are picnic table-esque, so one size fits all. Also, if you pay with a card, they charge a fee.
google avatar

Cali F.

Yelp
I am really disappointed. I ordered the green chile pork plant. Was extremely bland and skimpy. It didn't even taste or look like pork to be honest. I think they used chicken. I had to used a bunch of salt, lime and salsa to even make it take remotely good. I asked for two side beans but only looked like one. There was barely even me on my plate the whole thing was just covered in sauce. This used to be one of my favorite places to go but lately they have just been slacking on their quality of food. I don't think I will be coming back anymore.
google avatar

Gabrielle R.

Yelp
I have eaten here before and it was excellent. Previously I had the bean and cheese chimichanga and it was excellent. Tonight I had the chicken fajita plate and it was not good. The chicken was the worst part - every piece I was eating had no flavor, and it was super "gummy" as if I was eating only tendon each time I got a new bite. Additionally, the salad that was a part of the plate was a handful of lettuce and a slice of tomato. Maybe I've been spoiled, but with any other fajita plates I've gotten, I usually got a side of sour cream and guacamole with my salad. I also only got one tortilla with my plate. I'm pretty bummed out since my first experience was so good.
google avatar

Dana B.

Yelp
For street tacos, these were pretty good. My husband liked the carne asada. I took part of the cashiers suggestion and had a carnitas taco, plus a chicken (my choice). I should've listened to her fully. The carnitas was off the hook! Chicken was fine. Just...fine. Only real downfall was the iced tea was old, which tastes nasty. The cashier gladly gave me a Bottle of water instead.
