I came to visit my family and in-laws for the holidays, and my father-in-law suggested that we come here for dim sum. I grew up in Tallahassee and had never been aware of a place that served dim sum here. Being somewhat of a food snob and having lived in NYC, I had low expectations for the dim sum in Tally.
We came on a Saturday morning, around 12:30 pm and were able to get immediately seated for a table of 6. We ordered the soup dumplings, wontons, red bean pancake, shrimp rice rolls, pork belly buns, the shao mai, and the spare rib in bean sauce.
I honestly was pleasantly surprised by how everything tasted. The shrimp rice rolls were uniquely chewy (something I didn't expect and tasted really good), and the wontons, pork belly buns, shoo mai, black bean pork were all flavorful. The only critique I have is that the soup dumplings were really hard to eat intact (i.e. the dumpling kept falling apart and was stuck to the outside paper) so you ended up losing soup before being able to eat it.
The service was exceptional, we had a great waitress who was knowledgable about what to order and extremely accommodating to my high maintenance parents.
If you're craving dim sum, I would recommend coming here on Saturday for lunch! They also serve other lunch items such as sushi.
