Azul on the Rooftop

Cute rooftop spot, great ambiance. Service was pretty poor. Food was decent. Drinks were okay, mine was disappointing (they do not know how to make a Hugo spritz here). Not pleased about pricing - we came for happy hour drinks but they charged full price. When asked about it they came back with a discount - I thought happy hour cocktails were $10 but we were charged $14 (usual price $20). FYI. Btw note that there's hardly any shelter if it drizzles or rains.

I’m leaving this because this place is dominated by bad reviews and I do not think it should be. We went for drinks, and we ordered our drinks from the bar, so no I cannot comment on the food or the server attentiveness. But the bar service was fast, friendly, and the drinks were fantastic. The views and the vibes were great. If you want rooftop drinks with a great vibe, 1000% come. If you want 5 star dinner service (which seems like what most of these reviewers wanted) I don’t think I’d recommend, since this literally isn’t meant to be that.

The best. Beautiful views, good food, great drinks. Service is always accommodating. I go here a couple times a summer, just a blast.

Two stars because our server barb was fantastic. Even though we didn’t see her for 30 minutes at a time she was still friendly and honest. Don’t go here for the food. It’s overpriced and minimal and not worth it at all. Drinks are ok. Everything is in plastic and they still think they can charge almost $20 for a little plastic cup. The view is ok… but the rooftop isn’t that big. The bouncer is incredibly rude. I don’t get where people get off treating customers like that. Plenty of other rooftops that are better. Won’t be going back

Went here after brunch for drinks. Beautiful city views and indoor decor. Prepare for pricey drinks, but not going to lie they were very tasty. Views, unique drink menu, and tastey cocktails are enough to give this venue 5 stairs. Plus you get great Manhattan views without crazy traffic. Artwork was beautiful as well. Very chic place

Sitting atop the Hotel Hugo, Azul (one floor above Bar Hugo) may be a little out of the way, but it's a great atmosphere for a summer drink in the sun, and boasts some pretty great views of Hudson River, Freedom Tower, and even the Statue of Liberty. And on the east side, some of the more iconic skyscrapers. The music is just loud enough to feel without making conversation hard, and the menu is a little pricey but good - great cocktails, some good snacks, and a pretty solid Cuban sandwich.

This is a nice rooftop, food a bit expensive but our server was amazing (a guy with glasses) we were a big group and he absolutely killed it ! Nice atmosphere.

Fun rooftop bar with amazing margs, great views, and even better music. The perfect spot in the summer time. Definitely a younger crowd - think Gen Z and millennials. Lots of seating areas including small private tables as well as well as first-come first-serve larger shared tables. I didn't get to try the food, but the drinks were good. Fun spot! Would definitely recommend.

Good place for meeting friends. My favorites: tacos and lavender fields. On weekdays went there without reservations.

We originally wanted to go to Bar Hugo on a Monday afternoon, but it was apparently not open. Something about the weather? But this is also in the same hotel and NOT Bar Hugo, which is so confusing since nothing is labeled. No happy hour despite it being labeled on the menu. Views are pretty good, you can see the Freedom tower and towards Jersey depending on what side you're on. We got seated pretty fast. Food here is pretty expensive, but the portions are decently large. Service is a little hard to come by since there seems to be only one waitress. Sunkiss pitcher ($70)- it was definitely enough for 3 of us to get tipsy. They were surprisingly strong despite not having a strong alcohol flavor! Truffle fries ($10) - absolutely massive basket so it was quite worth it. Light truffle flavor. Lots to share between 3 people.

On Azul I keep vacillating between three and four stars. If you're really proactive and good at reconaissance, you might be able to tailor a great experience for yourself. If you're looking to just show up and have the venue pull themselves together, you might be disappointed. So, what do I mean by all of that? Well, let's begin with the fact that you can't make reservations online or via telephone and the email I sent, to the email address that they specified, went unanswered. I had this place on my list before as I had visited Bar Hugo (one level down from Azul) several years back. I took a chance and decided to visit on a Saturday afternoon. We got there pretty much right at opening. I was surprised to find that a small area was already reserved since they didn't answer my requests for a reservation. Despite the anxious start, I was immediately calmed by the assistance of our Hostess/Waitress Kirsten. She gave us a chance to look at available tables from either side of the Rooftop (There's a fantastic view of the Hudson River on one side but the sunlight is direct and might be uncomfortable for some). We elected to sit on the eastern (shaded) side of the rooftop which had a great view of the Freedom Tower. Their drinks were great! The frozen ones were perfect for a hot summer day. I enjoyed the small bites (guacamole, hummus, veggies etc.) but my companion felt they lacked a little bit in flavor. I'll let you be the judge on that. Meanwhile, the music was BUMPIN' (that's a good thing)! It was mostly musica urbana which I really liked. We held our table for a few hours and left satisfied to get dinner elsewhere. We noticed that the rooftop was closed to newcomers (i.e. security said to new people that they were at capacity). While I observed that I waited for a good 15 minutes for one of two bathrooms on the lower level (There are no restrooms on the top (Azul) level. So that was a little annoying to deal with on the way out. Bottom Line: Get there early. Scope the place out. Get comfortable with their drink menu and you should have a good time with a great view. Don't wait to use the restroom and good luck with getting an answer to your reservation request. P.S. The Rooftop seemed to only be accessible by stair. So I guess that means it's not ADA accessible?

Arrived here a little after 5 pm on a Monday evening with a few friends. Was a little confused by where it was at first because the Hugo hotel entrance and Felix coffee shops entrance is connected. Luckily we arrived early and for seated right away. First impression, cute little enclosed rooftop. There also seems to be an outdoors area where they were having a private event so didn't get the chance to check it out. It was also one of the hottest days of the year, so my friends and I wanted to sit in the enclosed portion with AC. We sat right by the bar which was a nice private area from from the crowded side on the other side. What my friends and I loved about this place was how low key and chill it was. They also have happy hour until 9 pm which is hard to find. Our server was prompt and attentive which also made our experience great. Drinks were also delicious and not bad at $12 happy hour prices. Definitely worth a visit!

I'm a big fan of the variety of views at this rooftop bar. The upper patio which is pretty spacious has a beautiful view of lower Manhattan. The indoor level below has a lot of cozy, upscale furniture with a nice view of FiDi and jersey city- def recommend going during sunset hours. The drinks were great and came out way faster than I expected. The servers and bartenders were super friendly as well. Will definitely be a regular here.

Just no. There are plenty of other rooftop bars in the city that will treat you with respect and dignity. Came here with some friends on a Friday night. I no longer drink alcohol, so I asked the bartender if they could make me a mocktail. With the most disgusted sneer I've ever seen, he said no and turned around. My male friend finally got his attention again and ordered drinks for the rest of the group, plus a water for me. Shocker: the rest of the drinks get made but no water. I get it -- you're not making any money off water. But then why not indulge my request for a mocktail (which could literally just be club soda and cranberry juice?!) and charge us $7 or $10 or whatever this place wants to justify? There was a water dispenser on the other side of the bar but no glasses. So my other friend asked the bartender for a glass and was promptly ignored. It was almost comical how poorly we were being treated for no reason... but unfortunately as a minority woman it felt almost hostile and there was nothing funny about it. Go down two floors to the indoor bar where the bartenders are kind, empathetic, and make a mean mocktail!

This is a great rooftop bar to grab a drink at, mostly because of the views and, to some extent, the vibe. The views include New Jersey, the Statute of Liberty, the lower side of Manhattan including the financial district and some ways to the north. The music was sort of Latin and Spanish upbeat, almost dance tunes, and the cocktails were creative and boozy. Single drinks can be expensive but you can buy them by the pitcher which brings the per drink price down a little. The bottom line: If you're looking for a cool rooftop happy-hour place with great views, then this is a great place. The prices are a little on the high side but not unlike similar places.

They were super for our friends' private party. Our server, Barbara, was amaze Loved the watermelon spritz on the summer menu but margs were solid etc. Typical rooftop prices but for great drinks and beautiful view. Chill atmosphere, not too sceney, kinda hotelly, but come with friends and make it your own :)

An intimate/boujee Rooftop with an interesting view of mostly Jersey City but fun cocktails to choose from. $15 a drink. 3.75/5 stars as a rooftop.

I love rooftop bars and this one has been on my list for a while. I'm not crazy about the location. It's in a pretty desolate area with little to no other bars and restaurants around. The views are nice, you can see Jersey on one side but better, lower Manhattan with the Freedlm Tower on the other side. As for the drink, the frozen Passion Fruit Mojito is pretty tasty but it's at the upsetting NYC prices and size. The tiniest cup was $18. The food menu is extremely limited. They only offer 3 different types of tacos, 3 different "Bocaditos" (snacks)- guac/salsa, cheeseburgers sliders, a d fries. I orders the Brasied Flank Steak tacos. The price is again high- $16 for two tacos but surprisingly they are a decently filling. The tacos were had a good amount of meat that I was able to create 4 tacos from the double torillas tacos. The meat was a bit dry though and seemed to be lacking some of the toppings it was supposed to come with- roasted tomato and Jalepneo salsa, red onion, cilantro, cotija cheese. There was plenty cheese and I got a kick from the jalepeño, but I couldn't taste anything else. The seating is lounge style, low seats and low tables which isn't convenient for eating, you either have to bend over to each on the table or put the dish on your lap or hold it. The food was delivered in to-go boxes, which I'm not sure if that's how they always serve it or if they're taking precautions because of covid. In any case, it is windy on the rooftop and the flimsy boxes had potential to fly away many times. When I first got there, the bouncer told me there wasn't a spot for 2 and I needed to wait. He didnt know how long, I just had to come back, oh and also you can't stand in front of the hotel... Annoying but with limited options nearby I wasnt going to make a big deal about it. Good thing though is when the other member of my party came, he looked outside for me and told us a table just opened. I'm not sure if the process of no waitlist and come back later is how they usually do it but since not many people are flocking to the rooftop in herds at this time, it was fine for this time. The bouncer also told us the strict rules- keep mask on at your table until the first drink comes and then you can remove it but if you walk around, masks goes back on. Not a problem for us. The issue when we got upstairs was that the server had her nose out the entire time. It is a face mask to cover your mouth AND nose. Going around serving everyone with half of what should be covered sticking out made no sense. I understand that it's a lot to wear your mask all shift but that wouldn't help stop the spread if she had it (I'm not saying she did though. Idk her story). Overall the space is small, the drinks are good but expensive, the food menu is limited, the views are nice, but the staff doesn't stick to the mask fully on policy. There are better rooftops uptown which I'll stick to.

Usually I lend a bit of leniency to rooftop bars when it comes to the quality of the food and drink because everyone knows you're really paying for the view, but I could not recommend this place to anyone. I did come in October so I understand that the pandemic is making things difficult but save yourself the trip and go somewhere else. The drinks were overpriced ($18) for a tiny portion served in a plastic cup, but where the real problem lies was the food. Every member of our party was forced to order one item, the waiter admitted that all the food was made in the morning and then reheated upon ordering. Then somehow it took them an hour to reheat our food and it came in takeout boxes. And the quality was absolutely awful for ~$15. I got the poutine and it was so dry and flavorless. I could've gotten a better experience ordering myself takeout and climbing to the roof of our own apartment building. Please save yourself the trip!

This place is so much fun and off the beaten rooftop path. Just one piece of advice - get here as soon as it opens cause seating is limited and there are no reservations.

Azul Rooftop was poppin! such a chill beautiful view. the food and drinks were delicious. hospitality was phenomenal. Earl(security), Ariel(Supervisor), Lenys, Elvin, & Jimmy(bartenders/runners) made our night. GREAT SERVICE. thank you. im from long island and i'm so glad i took this trip to experience the city view with my two friends on a friday night. i have already recommended this spot to all my friends. La Vida Loca Drink & passion fruit mojito was my fav, we ended up getting a pitcher of something i forgot but it was worth it !! Guac &chips- the bomb.com, so good! chicken quesadillas-brings 3 and it was delicious the hot chicken sliders - amazingggg French fries- i'm a french fry lover and these were good ass fries lol THANK YOU AZUL ON THE ROOFTOP. Keep on being popping.

I came here with some friends on the 4th of July hoping to see some fireworks from the rooftop and we had a FANTASTIC night. We didn't have a reservation or a table but ended up finding a seat and making friends with a few people which led us to one of the couch booths. The bartender and waitstaff were SUPER friendly, the drinks were AMAZING, and the small bites were DELICIOUS. I forget what the drink was called, but the tequila drink with cucumber and mint - was SO good. We went through a couple pitchers (yikes). The hummus and the fries were my top picks from the small bites menu. The seasoning on the fries is to die for and the crispy pita served with the hummus was scrumptious. & I can't forget about the views - as it's a rooftop this was one of the biggest selling points. We made some unforgettable memories up on this rooftop and I would highly recommend you check it out!

If you are going in between this place and almost any over rooftop then pick another place. I gave it too stars for the review of the Hudson River. I ordered the red carpet and it was horrible. It was very weak and too bitter. The place is really small with split sides. Order wine if you are going.

We are travel nurses here on assignment; we tried to get a reservation via email as they requested early in the week for Friday evening, since it was the only day we had off together. We never got a response, so we showed up early on Friday evening (6pm) and were very rudely turned away without a reservation (that, again, we tried to secure early in the week). We were looking forward to it but obviously we were let down.

Phenomenal views, trendy vibes and delicious drinks! I had two margaritas and guac & chips before it started raining. My friends and I received incredible service- I wish I could remember our waitress' name! Will most definitely return!!

It has really nice view from roof top and indoor is neat and clean. Some people commented that they could smell vomit everywhere but I would say it smelled at specific area, not entire rooftop. My favorite drink was Saoca (Bacardi, coconut water, passion fruit puree)!!

(Visit was during Covid-19 social distancing July 9th) This establishment is on the roof of an hotel so there was a strict doorman once you reach the entrance. We were told we could not enter unless our entire party was there yet two of the 6 had already gone upstairs about 15 minutes prior and were already seated. The drinks are just ok. 2 ounce shots an lots of non-potent flavoring. We ordered tacos which were served in disposable containers . The tacos themselves were less then appetizing. The flavor was off and just not what one would expect for such an establishment. We figured we would order a round of shots (Tito's) but they were to "chilled" and water down. The atmosphere scenic however was obstructed due to construction. When asked if we could move over to the other side we were told a reservation was coming however no one showed through the duration of our 2hr stay. The server was friendly however not attentive.

Stayed at Hotel Hugo based on a prior experience we had and enjoyed at the roof top bar. However this weekend when we returned the bar experience was sub par . Sitting with my boyfriend enjoying the view and conversation . A gentleman came over and harassed me about having my foot resting against the lounge "coffee table" I was completely take. Back because we were minding my own business and he threatened to throw us out. Not only was I sitting like that specifically because I have a knee I injury and there was no need but also because this is hospitality industry and guests should be catered to. We certainly will not be coming back to the hotel or that bar and they most definitely list future business.

On Friday after work my friends and I decided to meet up at this Rooftop Bar Azul. First off the pictures posted for this place are exaggerated it is very small. Secondly it took the waiter over 45 minutes to take our orders then when the drinks did arrive they looked good tasted horrible. I don't mind paying top dollar for drinks however it needs to at least taste good. Then we ordered food and after waiting for over an hour we went to cancel our order and the waiter was just like OK. The worst server ever I will never ever go back to Azul again. Do not waste your time and money here it's not worth it.

I absolutely loved my visit here. I went with 2 of my bestfriends on a Wednesday night and it was so cozy and cute. The view of the city was beautiful, the Adams Family movie was playing on the TV outside and the drinks were good. The ambience was great all around. My only complaint is there was only one single bathroom available and there was always someone in there for 20 mins or so. Just open another bathroom and we're good!

Researched some amazing rooftop bars in Manhattan and decided to check this one out. I was not disappointed. There are two floors to the rooftop bar, both of which have amazing views. We came for happy hour, so I got a great drink for a great price. Seems like an amazing place for a meal, so I'll definitely be back again to try it out!

Love the vibe of this place! The crowd is very diverse and the age ranges from 20s to 50s. Very classy and the music is a great mix of everything from jazz to old school hip hop to pop. The upper level plays mostly EDM. Definitely be prepared for a bit of a wait if you come for happy hour as this place is pretty popular but you won't wait longer than 30 min and it's definitely worth it!

Honestly, Barbara carried this restaurant. She's a true gem and the most sweetest /patient person EVER!!! The drinks were good, great view. Pls ask for Barbara!!!

The bouncers here are absolutely disgustingly rude. I have no words at all. There are ways to tell people that there is a wait, but this man had no respect for speaking to us like this. As someone who has previously worked in the hospitality business, that was disgusting.

Cute place with amazing views, the food is good but nothing to rave about. This place is more for the drinks and the atmosphere. Would come here again.

Great views and cozy feel - tucked away on the west side. The drinks are tasty (got the El Sabor and Havana Whiskey), but the price point is really for the view (which I think is worth it). Came here midweek and it was not very crowded though was a little confused about how the service worked (we sat in one of the lounge areas thinking there is waiter service, but it seemed you had to come up to the bar to order). Will come back again soon.

Do not visit this establishment. Came here on a Friday evening to enjoy a cocktail and was treated terribly. The hostess was a very rude person. She spoke to me and my friend like we had to leave. We felt rushed. During these times i try to support establishments because i know how difficult things are right now and they're struggling. Save yourself the trip!

So excited when I found out there was a rooftop by my job! I couldn't wait to try it. However, I was a little disappointed compared to other rooftops in NYC. It was pretty crowded around 5pm on a Wednesday and I felt like I couldn't look at the views without awkwardly towering over people that were sitting at tables. (Unless there was another spot we missed.) We were able to get a seat at the bar. I ordered the mojito, which was great, but I'm not sure if it was worth the price.

Tribeca has been on my radar lately, and for good reason. Hotel Hugo's Azul takes the cake for one of the swankiest yet less pretentious options in the rooftop scene downtown. Your best bet is for the early weekday happy hour rush. Order a few rounds of tequila and guac for the table, the New York breeze makes everything taste a little better

When we went to Azul thankfully, it didn't smell like vomit whatsoever. In fact, it was a pleasant experience. The view was nice from both sides, the whole rooftop was cozy and trendy. They have small sample menu from where we ordered quacamole and couldn't eat it because it was TOO spicy. The drinks are pricey but that is what you pay in any rooftop in NYC. The DJ could have been better. Some songs were old and not the best selection. Live music was pretty amazing though. Overall, nice, chilled atmosphere.

The view is good enough however the building itself gets in the way on the east side. West side views of JC are fantastic. The prices are outrageous so bring $100 a person for a night. $22 for two - 12 oz beers. The cushions on the sofas all smell like barf so better to sit on a metal chair.

Very poor customer service. Wouldn't allow you to make a reservation unless you had a party of 6 or more. When my friend and I got there, we were asked if we had a reservation. How does thIs make sense? We were then told it would be an hour wait, we waited for 2 hours and never got to go in. No one had the decency to let us know that nothing would be available. Waste of time, don't go, spend your money elsewhere.

Great place, nice view on the city. It was a little chilly but they can provide blankets for a small additional charge. Our waiter was extremely nice and provided an amazing service!

My friends and I went here for July 4 celebration. Nice rooftop bar, with lots of space between tables and patio couches. There's really only 5 spots for small groups. All servers and bartenders wore masks. Bartenders also wore gloves. Relief to see they took necessary precautions. Didn't see many fireworks because we're facing the wrong direction (away from Empire State Building). Beautiful clear night sky. Good music!

Visited Hotel Hugo's Azul on the Rooftop earlier this week, as they opened up the space for the first time this summer. What a beautiful and lovely space. How do you get there? Take the elevator up to 'R', and you will arrive at Bar Hugo, a nice classy and modern bar with fantastic views. Then head for one of the stairways and enter your first taste of Azul (Spanish for blue), a florescent blue-lit stairwell donned with Cuban art portraits. After the seemingly one and a half to two flights of steps you have left the sophisticated Bar Hugo to the lovely opened air Azul on the Rooftop, a relaxing tropical Latin oasis in the city. Like I said, I was there for a special opening event, called Planchao, presented by Blackwell Rum. There was live Cuban music by David Oquendo and plenty of delicious cocktails. Currently there isn't any food on the rooftop, which is available at the hotel's restaurant at street level. However, the restaurant is looking into bringing some grills and food to the space just above Azul. Nearly 365 degree views, patrons of Azul on the Rooftop can go back and forth for a view that spans from Lower Manhattan to the Upper West Side with Jersey on the middle on the Western area of the roof, or Lower Manhattan views up to Midtown on the East Side. Azul on the Rooftop at Hotel Hugo is a great addition to not only the hotel, but the neighborhood and Lower Manhattan itself. We arrived right when they opened, and there were only two unreserved tables in the entire bar. We went to sit at one and the cushions were so wet, you couldn't sit on them. I asked a girl that worked there if we could trade the cushions from one of the other seats, and she said "they're all going to be damp." they definitely weren't all damp, but even if they were, why didn't they put them in the sun before the bar opened or covered them the day before when it rained? we ended up sitting at the high top that faced the water, and were told by the same girl that had "helped" before that we would have to go to the bar to order, which isn't a problem but she had such an attitude when saying it. We had one of our friends go to the bar and order our drinks so we didn't lose our seats, and she was gone for at least 15 minutes. when i went to look for her, she had just gotten to the front of the line and when she told the bartender what i wanted (the frozen mojito that's on the menu) he said they didn't have any frozen drinks today. so i asked him if they had anything similar to that that wasn't frozen and he just said "no." what type of a bartender can't come up with a drink that's similar to one that's on the menu? he didn't say he didn't have the ingredients, he just said they didn't have anything frozen, so he definitely could have made an on the rocks version. i ended up just asking for water, and when our friend brought the drinks back, there was no water, so i had to go back up there and get the water myself from the pitcher. they also had no food, which they didn't tell anyone beforehand, so people that had reservations and were expecting to get food, got absolutely nothing. the service here was awful, and the drinks my friends got were mediocre. there are so many rooftop bars in the city, don't bother wasting your time at this one.

Rooftop with fun vibes, string lights, and lounge beach couches. Very cozy and comfy. Some of the best drinks I've ever had! Absolutely loved the pineapple ciprihana but the the frozen blood orange martini was unreal!! Our server was very nice and went out of her way to accommodate us and brought our drinks in a timely manner. The tacos were very good also as well as the chips & guac!!

Beautiful rooftop- the bar is two levels, an indoor/outdoor one where there's less outdoor space but the drinks are a little cheaper, and the totally outdoor roof which has beautiful views. Music is a little too loud to really chill out but still a great spot

I've been here twice and I love it! The service, drinks and view are amazing. I came here with my boyfriend the first time and we had a great time. And the second was with my friends and it's a great place for a quick meet up for drinks and a nice restaurant after.

Had a great time here this weekend. They were very accommodating with our group. Drinks were delicious. Mostly small bites like chips/guac, sliders etc for food. Excellent views. Good music. Friendly staff.

Everything about this rooftop is perfect minus one detail: the entire place smells like vomit. We came Weds night for casual drinks and couldn't believe the stench. We first noticed it near the bar, and literally moved to every end of the roof and still smelled it. We heard 2 other people talk about it and someone actually came up to us and asked if we smelled it. Out of curiosity I asked the manager about it and this was his response word for word "We've done 3 deep cleans and are still trying to find the source, it's not a dead rodent though bc we checked. People spill food and drinks all the time." #Casual. Such a shame bc the place is so great! Awesome views, comfy couches and great cocktails (Queens Knees is phenomenal). I hope they can "find the source of the smell" quickly so I can make this my summer hang out.

Horrible place. Maybe good for drunk millennials after 11 pm. What a shame that out of towners are gouged for a $21. martini. Really. No decent champagnes by the glass....only Veuve, ugh. Bartenders were the 3 Amigos, only speaking to themselves in Spanish....and my biggest pet peeve......NO HOOKS UNDER THE BAR FOR HANDBAGS! It's 2016......and the bar stools were round, so you can't hang them over the chair. Bad start to a waste of an evening and a big waste of 50 bucks for 2 drinks. Go to the Boom Boom room instead....the drinks are the same price, the view is gorgeous, the people are nicer and prettier too ;) Won't be coming back to Hotel Hugo or the Azul Rooftop Bar. Adios Amigos.

LET ME TELL U ABOUT THIS SHITTY ASS UNPROFESSIONAL ESTABLISHMENT. So I call days in advance because I live in New Jersey to make a reservation and I'm told they do not take reservations for parties of 2 people it's walk in only for 2 people. I asked is there usually a long wait I was told about a hour. So no problem I go on a. Saturday night around 6:20pm there's a line of about 8-9 other parties all of 2-3 people per party. So as soon as I get there I call azul and I'm told the wait is 1-1.5 hours so I say no problem I'll wait it's nice out. Ok a hour passes people drop off the line and people exit the building but no one from azul comes out to get anyone else to replace those who left. Finally I go to the door I'm met by some INEPT hostess who tells me the line has nothing to do w azul and they're at full capacity and the wait is a hour and she's just filling in for the bouncer who's on break. I tell her I was told that a hour ago! And she just shrugs!!! I ask what is the table limit for guests?! The heiffa replies for reservations they get THREE hours and for walk ins get this she said they just "go with the flow"! Excuse me?! How can u run a business during a time like this w no table limits then lie to folks about the wait time?! The bouncer comes back and he's rude and just says idk why anyone is waiting on line we never tell ppl to wait on line we just tell them go and come back! I said how would that work?! Everyone would lose their spot and you should come out and inform these people of your capacity and how u don't honor spots in line he said to me verbatim "I'm not coming out to tell them anything it's not my problem" I will never visit this place ever again terrible customer service ! If I could give zero stars I would !

Friend of mine suggested this venue tonight. Said there were good views. I normally frequent private social clubs and private events and a few select venues around the city so I was excited to try something new after the whole lockdown craziness. I was sorely disappointed. Lobby doorman threw an attitude right off the bat and then when I finally get up to the practically empty rooftop, the service was atrocious and the food/drinks mediocre at best. This place is best left to uncultured neophytes who tolerate sheer mediocrity. I actually feel embarrassed for this venue and its subpar management and staff.

Great place to grab drinks after work, outdoor area is small, but if you get there early can probably grab a good seat especially for sunset. Service was ok - waiter could've been more attentive and was hard to converse with. Most of the drinks on the cocktails list are pretty good, they ran out of the rose sangria - will have to go back and try that. Def recommend to order a side of the truffle fries!

Came here on a date so I didn't pay for the drinks, but I think the bill for 2 people at 2 drinks each was upwards of $50. Without tip....so beware. This is of course a hotel rooftop so you can count on it being full of our-of-towners and the prices being high. Overall the place earned its stars because of the view and the incredible me sunsets you get to behold up there. While the outdoor space is quite limited, the space is open enough so you can get a good view in almost any spot.
