I had dinner here for my birthday on July 19, and it was such a special experience. It was my first time visiting, and I’m already looking forward to coming back. The food was amazing! it came out quickly, was beautifully presented, and you could taste how fresh everything was. Victor, he was super tall around 6’5 💞and truly one of the best I’ve ever had. He let me sample four different wines to help me choose, and his energy made the evening feel extra thoughtful and fun. The managers and every staff member were also so helpful and friendly, you can genuinely feel the warmth and hospitality here. My only wish is that the restaurant was a little bigger. Thank you all for making my birthday so memorable 💙 Update (August 2025): Went back again for the second time with my aunt and we had Victor as our server again! Just as great as the first time🥰🥰 he’s super sweet and attentive. I definitely recommend asking for him if you’re planning to eat here!

Absolutely great restaurant! My family and I dined here for my birthday and everything was delicious and our server was awesome. We had calamari/- which was on point! I had the black squid ravioli and added scallops—- one of the best dishes I’ve ever had! Everyone was so satisfied with their meals. I also had the most wonderful cocktail with orange, limoncello flavors—— definitely will be doing that again!! Loved loved loved this restaurant… it’s a must, and I can’t wait to go back for another meal.

It was our 8th year wedding anniversary! My husband chose Azzurro for dinner. The restaurant is located in a great area with great views! We had our vehicle valet parked which was very convenient. As we entered the restaurant, we were asked if we had reservations. We did not but we were seated fairly quickly. I decided to eat outside. As the host sat us, she mentioned how earlier kids had drawn on the table. She brought out the spray and and wiped that side of the table only. It was very unfavorable to hear this as the table should have been wiped whether in use or not. Then, my husband asked for the spray and wipe to wipe the table himself as the other side of the table was not wiped at all. Obviously the host felt bad for not doing that in the first place and wiped the other half of the table. We waited for our server for at least 15 minutes. We ordered waters first and then my husband asked for a Michelob Ultra. We were told due to tariffs, the Ultra was not in inventory. As business owners ourselves, there should not be a reason such as tariffs given to patrons as to why a product is not available. We just thought that was odd. My husband ordered the East Coast oysters and I ordered the Lobster Bisque and the White Wine Mussels. I later added the Polenta as an enhancement. The food took fairly long to come out. Our server was good and we had a great conversation with him. The food was good and price was reasonable. There were just some points where we felt this restaurant fell short. We would still give Azzurro another try!

Google
The staff is amazing! We had the calamari for appetizer. I had the capesante e risotto was really looking forward to our reservation considering we are celebrating our wedding anniversary. Azzurro made top 10 for the season on the show Goodtaste with Tanji. Too bad the risotto was extremely salty. The friendliness of the staff makes up for for it. The torta nocciolata is a must have!

Food was good along with nice view of the lake and location. Would have liked to sit near the lake rather than corner booth. I would turn the music up a lot louder, was nice when I could hear it rather than the table talking next to us. It was my birthday and the hostess stand knew it; as I made the reservation and wanted a special table when on the phone. Specifically saying while making the reservation that it was my birthday and please put us at a good table. Maybe 10 minutes in they brought another table right next to us in the booth area when the restaurant wasn’t busy. We could hear every word of their conversation as if we were at the same table. Do not sit in the booth area. It was the worse possible type of table to sit next to us on my birthday. It was young kids on a first date probably in their 20s. My mother thought the guy was on a job interview..haha. I told her no, that was just a horrible first date. It got to the point where I would have just left but it was my birthday with family so I had to finish out. (Booths too close or turn up the music) The food was good. Nice to see something unique/authentic in this area as there is a lot of restaurant competition. The mussels were excellent. The clams were very small as seen in the photo. It was a disappointing entree, as it was mostly pasta with tiny clams, with some missing. The flavor profile was good but expected more/bigger clams. The server didn’t explain anything. Had no speech or greeting about who they are and what they do. We drank multiple glasses of wine, would have been better if he recommended some bottles rather than paying by the glass. Also I would have liked some question like “is this your first time?” Or any question or comment for that matter. For a previous birthday we went to Via Emila and they gave us the private room, that was memorable. Was expecting same level of service, since it has the same owner. Management should be aware of special occasion reservations. Put them with their best servers at their best tables. I’d probably go back for the white wine mussels at the bar and a glass of wine

Google
My "Chitarra alle Vongole" tasted and looked more like a Ramen without any broth. Dry, barely no parsley and lacked of flavor. Same for my wife's Rigatoni with Sausage and mushrooms. Food is average and bland. It's a good looking Restaurant and food needs improvement

Google
Great food, great drinks and a fantastic waitstaff. The seafood tower was amazing and definitely a highlight. Expensive but worth it. My main was the charcuterie board because the seafood tower filled me up. I loved the assorted meats and cheeses. Big hit with me. My colleagues each enjoyed their meals. Only knock was that the table is a little small. Great for an intimate setting but when it’s a business dinner, well, it’s a little too close for me. Will be back for date night!!

Our food was incredible and our service by Valentin was even better! He is such a great server. Our only advice would be to put lunch on the weekend menu.

Yelp
Excellent service and food. We were there to celebrate our friends anniversary and Victor made them feel special. Seafood and pasta are definitely their strong game - everyone loved what they ordered.

Yelp
Amazing service and taste of food was extremely good. We were greeted right away when we walked in. It was a slow lunch hour and there was barely anyone there. It's a quaint restaurant tucked by the waterway and they have a balcony where you can see views of the waterway. We really enjoyed eating the pasta dishes (braised beef cheeks with mafaldine pasta & shrimp with rigatoni) we ordered. Especially loved my dessert which was the affogato. Will come here again and try other dishes.

Yelp
First time at Azzurro and we loved it! It was a little quiet but exceptional service nonetheless. Darren was our waiter and he gave great recommendations and even better service. The drink & wine list was impressive and everything was really good. I loved peering out to the lake at sundown. Definitely go if you haven't.
google avatar

Yelp
We came here for when we're in town for Ironman TX and had the best dinner. We sat outside and really enjoyed the view of the lake. The service was great and the food was excellent. We will definitely go back the next time we are in the woodlands.

Yelp
Everything was fantastic! The staff and service was great, very friendly and accommodating. The ambiance was very nice, it wasn't packed on a Friday night and the staff was very attentive. The food was delicious l, there wasn't a single thing we didn't like. The flavors complimented everything so well and it went amazingly.
google avatar

Yelp
It was good but not great esp considering the price. Had the redfish. It was a lil dry. Sauce was very watery and soupy. Potatoes tasted fryed instead of roasted and lacked flavor. Service and ambiance outside were nice .

Yelp
First time callers, solid coast Italian food, great atmosphere. Two branzino plates, two shrimp and pasta plates, and an oso buco...all thoughtfully prepared and flavorful. Our waiter, Tom, was superb. Great job, Team Azurro,

Yelp
If you're looking for authentic Italian cuisine, this restaurant is a true gem. Every dish bursts with flavor, and you can tell that the ingredients are fresh and carefully sourced(Best Seafood ever ). The tuna tartar and the mussels our favorites ( we always start with these appetizers). The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming , the Italian music its a vibe and since I'm Italian there is nothing better for me for a relaxed meal. The staff is friendly and attentive, always ready to recommend something special from the menu. The manager she's very professional and very attentive to the customers. It's no wonder that we try to go there every weekend if we can--each visit feels like a little escape to Italy! Highly recommend it to anyone who loves Italian food! Good job guys

Yelp
Why 5 stars? Because this was one of the better special occasion restaurants we've been to in the area. --- --- --- Three times a year (birthdays and anniversary), we splurge a bit on a high end meal. Unfortunately, our recent experiences have resulted in shockingly high bills with little payoff in terms of value. Because I recently lost my job, we nearly skipped an anniversary meal this year, but we wanted to get out of the house and were so glad we did. On one of the first beautiful weather weekend's of the year, we opted to sit outside and it was perfect. It reminded both of us of being in California. Slightly warm in the sun, slightly cool in the shade and no clouds in the sky. The scene around us was that of diners from other nearby restaurants also enjoying their beautiful Sunday evening as they were coming or going from one of the many eateries in Hughes Landing. The bread was the first thing to arrive and it was gluten heaven. 5-stars. We were tempted to order the burrata and speck appetizer, but our server (Morgan) talked us into the Octopus Carpaccio. We both had the same reaction to it: it was delicious and it was unique... but would we *have* to order it again? Not necessarily. 4-stars. We also ordered the creamy lobster soup and I have to say that this might have been the best lobster bisque I've ever had. Maybe it helped that it was the ideal temperature outside for it, but I don't think the flavor could have been better. And the lobster meat itself was perfection. 5-stars. I ordered the squid ink spagehtti and loved it. I was warned that it was very heavy on the seafood flavor, but I didn't think it was at all. It was just a great dish from start to finish that I would happily order again. 5-stars. My wife went with the half roasted chicken. It was definitely an unconventional order, but she loved it. The pasta it came with was the highlight. For me, the only thing I did not love about it was the lemon flavor associated with the pasta, but the wife was a huge fan so that's what matters. For me, I would have given it 4-stars, but she says 5. We were not going to order dessert, but because it was our anniversary, they brought us a trio of cannolis. I am not a big cannoli person and didn't love the flavors, but it was free and a super nice gesture! Thank you Azzurro for a wonderful meal and excellent service from Morgan!

Yelp
The best oysters in all of Houston. Period. The drinks are amazing and the truffle pastas they've had over the years is amazing as well!

Yelp
The ambiance was lovely and inviting. The server (Garrett) was attentive and amiable as was the management. The food.....fabulous! I started with the beet salad with farro, goat cheese, toasted almonds and champagne vinaigrette. I had Branzino......again! I couldn't ask for anything more delicious for dinner. The crispy skin....the sweet, glazed pearl onions....Piedmont black rice....baby shiitake mushrooms....just phenomenal! Enjoyed a cappuccino to finish the meal. We will return again and again!

Yelp
Great food, service, and views. Inside and outside seating available on the water. Happy hour specials Monday - Friday.

Frank M.

Yelp
We ate here a few weeks ago and have mixed feelings about this place. The food was good we had no issue there however the ambiance especially the outdoor seating was terrible. The cushions were all stained and very uncomfortable, the service was fair. Not very attentive, waiter looked disheveled a real turn off. All in all they need an outdoor renovation, come on stained furniture...get a grip owners....

Yelp
Ok foodies, mount up! Fresh Italian seafood = delizioso! Right on the water of Lake Woodlands with a nice patio if you want to sit outside. This is place is unlike any other restaurant in The Woodlands...in a good way. We had several things: Appetizer: Beef carpaccio (good) Drinks: Old fashioned (excellent presentation and flavor, so I hear) Affogato (dessert but also coffee...yum) Entrees: Branzino (excellent fish), pork chop milanese (devine) Side: Polenta (good texture and flavor) Dessert: Tiramisu (fresh and not overly sweet) The Chef (Phil) even came out to check on us. Excellent top tier service by G.G. and Chef. We will definitely be back. Kudos for a lovely dinner!

Yelp
Have been anxiously waiting for Azzurro to open! The Woodlands is in desperate need of more fresh seafood options and where it's just more fried whatever. Also big fan of Via Emilia and Avanti all owned by the same family. Azzurro delivers on a lot of fronts. Great location. Unique fresh seafood options. A menu that I wanted to try everything on it. Everyone loved everything we ordered. Fresh, tasty and presentation at in my opinion is a very reasonable price point. Only gave it 4 stars due to cramped seating. Tables too close, but I understand the need to maximize revenue per square footage particularly in this high rent district. Service was slow and a bit disjointed. Our server was inattentive and spent a lot of time chatting with other employees rather than roving his tables to check in. We had several drinks and wine, but had to constantly "seek and summon" anyone for more water. Finished staters and salad plates sat on table forever before being cleared. Great concept, great food! I'm sure they'll get their service act together. We plan to put Azzurro on our rotation.

Yelp
Azzurro was part of our progrsssive dine through Hugh's Landing. They were our last stop for a night cap. Drink menu was great at the bar. Banana infused Bulleit Bourbon, brandy, and crème de banana? Yes please! They say thanks with a sample of their house made Limoncello.

Mario C.

Yelp
This used to be one of your go-to places in the Woodlands. It no longer is. Went there for a pre-birthday dinner last Friday, group of 10. Restaurant was busy, not crazy. Wait service started extremely slow. My wife had to find one of the managers in order to be able to place a drink order. Original waiter was replaced. Wine was not to temperature (both red and white). We had to request bottles to be opened and chilled. PEI muscles were completely over salted and could not be eaten. Pasta Vongole was dry and 80% of the shells were empty. An Oyster order of 12 was delivered with 6. A main course order for one of the guests had been forgotten and was served way late, while the rest of the party was eating or had already finished their meal. The whole evening felt like service had to be asked for all the time. Good service should be forward looking, attentive. The restaurant recently expanded and took over the neighboring space. It seems management failed to bring kitchen, bar and wait staff in line with that increased capacity. Shame!

Yelp
Yes yes and yes!! There were no seats or reservations available besides outside. It was just for 2 and I ready wanted this to be a good birthday dinner. I informed the hostess at the door that I was looking for a table. The manager Lance, found us a table from a cancellation, gave top notch customer service, and went over and beyond to make sure we were comfortable. The seating, lighting, water view, ambiance, food and drinks were excellent. We didn't wait long for the food at all. I would go here again and again for every reason. Not 1 dish did we have to add salt and pepper, every meal was seasoned to perfection. 1000/10I recommend!

Yelp
Total surprise, great Italian place with unique dishes and a great patio by the water. Truffle dishes were fantastic. Real black truffle shaved in front of you. Impressive. Pasta pasta pasta. Fresh. Branzino also very good. We shared a few items and they were plentiful. Family style works well here. Will return

Yelp
Been here twice. Love the ciopino. Had sweet hard working waiters both times well deserving of good tips.

Yelp
We made our second trip to Azzurro just before New Years and really enjoyed this addition to the culinary scene in The Woodlands!! The local restaurant group who created Via Emilia and the Avanti locations has really hit it out of the park with its newest concept at Azzurro. Modern fine dining with a seafood centric Italian menu. Beautiful space and very friendly service. Our main server Omar was excellent. We started with the White Wine Steamed mussels and the Crudo Trio. The mussels were good, but not great. The broth was excellent and the mussels fine - but it felt like the two parts of the dish were separate. Maybe we should have tossed the mussels in the broth ourselves. Bottom line, good dish, but not one that is a must have. The Crudo Trio was definitely a keeper. Tuna, Salmon and Scallop sliced thin with a flavorful sauce of capers, basil and olive oil. Perfectly balanced and the fish was fresh and tender. For a mid course we shared the Heirloom Caprese which they split for us without asking. A very good Caprese rendition with Fresh tomatoes, burrata and dressing. Would certainly order again. For our mains we shared the Braised Beef Cheek Malfadine and the Seared Cod. Both dishes outstanding with the top vote going to the pasta. However they accomplished it with the fatty beef cheeks, the sauce and pasta came together and didn't feel too heavy. Just a really good dish. The cod was good, but I think I preferred the Pistachio Crusted Salmon from my previous visit. Like I said earlier, Azzurro is a great addition to the area. In my opinion, the best Italian food in the Woodlands.

Yelp
Wow.... the service, the food, the drinks.... where do I begin. Hats off to our excellent server Zek and the attentive Manager Rob. I came to dinner with a group so we could try a lot of things, so here we go. For appetizers we tried the Buratta & Speck and the Truffle Ravioli. Yes, the ravioli is on the pasta menu but it was an AMAZING appetizer to share. And the Buratta was fantastic. One of the few places in The Woodlands you can get Cioppino, it was absolutely amazing! After everyone had a few spoonfuls and some of the seafood, we dipped the bread into the bowl until it was completely gone. Fantastic, tasty, just get this! For main courses we tried the Short Rib- it absolutely melts in your mouth! Plus the seared scallops- so flavorful with the perfect sear. And those came with a creamy polenta that we adored. The Creamy Lobster Soup had such a great burst of flavor - we wished we had more! I'm pretty sure one person licked the bowl clean. Next we tried the filet mignon, perfectly cooked medium rare with a burst of flavor and a great mushroom sauce drizzled on top. Of course, we had to taste dessert: the Chocolate Martinis and Timo Fragola plus Cannoli Trio were perfect. The restaurant has only been open about a week so we were incredibly impressed with the level of service, attention to detail, and absolutely fantastic food. Our server, Zek, did such a great job answering all of our questions and taking the time to check with the bar and Chef to answer everything properly. And kudos to the Manager Rob who stopped by the table a few times to check on us and genuinely expressed interest in our feedback (all positive tho). Definitely a new gem in Hughes Landing. Can't wait to return and try more!

Rustom S.

Yelp
Everything from A to Z was perfect. Octopus Carpaccio should be a must have. Branzino was out of this world. Perfectly cooked. Will definitely be coming back during the day to enjoy the ambiance, food and the atmosphere.

Yelp
Minus one star for forgetting the birthday celebration despite reminders (on the reservation page and when I walked in prior to the birthday boy). The table next to us was also celebrating a bday and had their moment to shine. Minus another star for their over fried calamari that was likely not fresh or cooked way too long in the fryer. Loved their lobster bisque but you can't really go wrong with creamy soup. Is it the best one? Eh truluck (across the street) would win that competition. Free bread is always pleasant. Tiramisu was on point with moist layers of lady fingers and coffee flavor. Pasta texture was disappointing. I expected Al dente for my pasta and that was not appreciated. It was either overcooked or not fresh. Accommodations for vegan pastas sucked - was hoping they could just mix and match sauces with pasta for the vegan heads. This was extremely difficult to ask for. Some places are good about substituting a protein such as Tempe, tofu, mushroom? Something. Not here.
google avatar

Shauna B.

Yelp
Everything about this restaurant was lovely. Ambiance, service, and food!! We are Spaghetti Al Tartufo, Truffle Ravioli, and chocolate cake. All were on point. Looking forward to enjoying this place again soon.

Yelp
Food was fresh and perfectly seasoned. Service was prompt. Setting by a lakeside and seaside decorations gave the location a fitting ambiance.

Yelp
Was here as part of a corporate dinner, with a party of about 15. We had a single waitress and she did a phenomenal job of managing a big group. I had the shrimp pasta and it was pretty delicious. perfectly cooked and not too large of a portion. Also had the cheesecake for dessert. cheesecake was just ok. I really liked sitting outside near the water. It was a very nice evening all around.
google avatar

Marisa M.

Yelp
We came with a party of 8 and no reservations (our bad, make a reservation next time ) but regardless they were able to seat us in a timely manner. Looking at menu as we had never been here before I was worried bc it is very coastal vibe Italian meaning lots of seafood options and a few of the members in our party do not eat fish... the meals were absolutely amazing and delicious. I personally ordered the pesto spaghetti and caprese salad and I wish I had left overs. The flavor was delicious I couldn't stop eating. We also ordered the chicken parmigiana which again so amazing. Service was quick and the restaurant was great with a beautiful view of the lake. Definitely will be coming back

Willow W.

Yelp
Had a great meal at Azzurro's! The Chicken Parmesan was really good and the service was friendly. I'll definitely be back.
google avatar

Gerry E.

Yelp
our waiter Victor was very attentive and made our evening really pleasant. we were celebrating our anniversary and he even brought us a complimentary dessert. food, as always, was amazing. this is definitely our 'go to' place for special occasions.

Thomas F.

Yelp
Some of the best food since I was in Italy The heirloom tomatoes with buffalo mozzarella were delicious as was the octopus Capaci
google avatar

Kelly A.

Yelp
Finally tried this place and it was so good. We didn't realize reservations are highly recommended and they sat us with not problem or inconvenience. It is a little fancier than I anticipated but the food was delicious. Service was great. We will be back.
google avatar

Kalen P.

Yelp
Food and Service were amazing!!! I live in the city but detoured to the land of the Woods :) to take a girlfriend to dinner that lives in the area. Totally worth it!!!! We will definitely make this a regular spot for our friends that live in the Woodlands that want a nice Italian dinner!
google avatar

Carlos S.

Yelp
My experience here as a first time diner was amazing. Darrien our server made our engagement dinner super special. I have dined at tons of Italian restaurants and the food here was top of the line. 10/10 recommend.
google avatar

Jimmy K.

Yelp
Nice place. Quiet and relaxing. They open the door and welcome you. The waitress was very nice and informative. Started with the Calamari. Sauce was ok, but the calamari was good. Peppers gave it some sweetness to it. Small pieces, and a little too much breaded. But good overall Wines selection was good For dinner I went with the swordfish. Very good taste. Potatoes were already. Had some red sauce around it. Ordered a side of broccolini. Was good as well. A little cold though. Overall very good. Can lay off some of the oil. Finished up with some Tiramasu. Also solid choice.

Brenda T.

Yelp
Went for celebratory lunch during the week. The lobster bisque was delicious and my husband shrimp cocktail was well presented with large shrimp. My husband has the short ribs which he enjoyed but the mashed potatoes had just a bit too much truffle for his taste. I had the cioppino which was spicy, full of seafood and yummy. Drinks were delicious. Service was very professional.
google avatar

Nishu P.

Yelp
Went here twice already and this is our new favorite spot. Great for dates or even with the family. The location and view are amazing. Servers and hostess were courteous and friendly. They really give you plenty of time to look over the menu and even enjoy your meal. You don't feel rushed. I recommend the charcuterie board with some wine. It's perfect for sharing. The branzino over black rice was flavorful and the pistachio crusted salmon was amazing. My husband got the chicken parmesan the first time and the second time we went he got the filet mignon and enjoyed both dishes very much. Tiramisu was perfect with their cappuccino. My father enjoyed his rigatoni and ate the entire dish along with the ricotta cheesecake. The restaurant is across the street from del crisco's grille and next to a macaroon shop. There are parking garages nearby or valet in the front. I give this place 5 stars for service, food and ambiance.
google avatar

Am K.

Yelp
Food was great! The mussels and squid ink spaghetti were delicious! Five stars but the cioppino needed some more garlic and / or spice. Felt like the seafood was boiled in tomato paste . Since we've had cioppino in other places before, this wasn't exactly up to my taste. Service was great! The manager came to check in on us and our waitress and all staff around were friendly and hospitable. Bit crowded on a Saturday evening, so reservations may be mandatory.

Sabina K.

Yelp
Amazing food and great service! enjoyed every meal. Our waiter, Taylor, was very kind, professional and her recommendations were great. HIGHLY recommended place
google avatar

Anna S.

Yelp
Great food! The homemade pasta did not disappoint! There wasn't one we didn't like. Don't skip on the truffle polenta either! We sat outside and the view was great. They have lots of umbrellas for sun coverage and fans to help keep you cool in the summer months.

Joanna R.

Yelp
Excellent food. Seafood Italian style. Everything we've tried here we have enjoyed. The pistachio crusted salmon is delicious. The ciopponi is also very flavorful and has a good amount of seafood throughout. I've also tried the squid ink ravioli- if you enjoy truffles, and a cheesy garlic flavor do not skip this dish!! Recommend adding lobster or shrimp to the ravioli it's delicious! Great spot!

James K.

Yelp
Food and service was great the three times we have dined here. The pasta dishes are as good as the ones we had on our trip to Italy. The squid ink pasta is one of my favorites and I order it every time along with something that I have not tried before which was always great. So happy we found this place and will be back many more times as we have not found a place better yet.
google avatar

Zachary G.

Yelp
Exceptional food and service. Highly recommend this restaurant for an evening out. We ordered the prawns for appetizer, which were delicious but a little over priced for the two they give you. For main, we ordered the branzino white fish and jumbo sea scallops.
google avatar

Troy D.

Yelp
Gave Azzurro a try for date night and had an excellent night out. We started with drinks. Highly recommend the Smoked Old Fashion, smooth and delicious. The calamari was excellent as well as the Heirloom Tomato Caprese. The main course selection for the table were all great. Good portions and flavor on point. Braised Beef Cheeks, Truffle Ravioli, Jumbo Scallops and Rigatoni and Sausage. Ethan was excellent server and was helpful and on top of things.
google avatar

Kortney H.

Yelp
Service was incredible (thank you Liam!) food was amazing, and sitting outside on their patio made it all a little better. I would highly recommend visiting Azzurro and everything we tried, we loved!

Yelp
Love this place. Great food, views, staff, management. Ask for Victor. HE IS THE BEST

Yelp
Great food! Loved the sea bass! Service was super and I love the setting on the lake!
