The Best Restaurants At LAX - Los Angeles - The Infatuation

"This LAX spinoff of BOA Steakhouse is one of the few places at the airport where the breakfast sandwiches don’t taste like they were thawed in a microwave. The brioche is lightly toasted, and you can order your egg sandwich with avocado, which feels luxurious next to a food court. The buttermilk pancakes are also solid, and everyone at the bar is exploring the “Retox” menu with Tito’s-heavy bloody marys and 8am espresso martinis." - brant cox, sylvio martins

I'm truly sorry for all the people who didn't have a good experience here, but this was definitely not my case. Service was fast and cordial, food was pretty good for an airport burger joint. Actually it's a good burger joint period. My cheeseburger came fast, hot and properly cooked to order, with a side of fresh, crunchy fries. Some people may say it's overpriced, but I think it's the "airport tax". No different than other similar places at LAX. I hope more people can have as good an experience as I had coming here. It's 5 out of 5 -- great!

Google
First of all, it is an adequate bar/restaurant. The food (3rd photo) looked very appealing when it was delivered. The server (1st photo) was great. HOWEVER...the actual quality of the food was less than adequate. Food was lukewarm at best and dry. The greeter (2nd photo) at the door went around repositioning and cleaning tables as I and the customer behind me stood there waiting. This person never produced a smile or a warm welcome to anyone. I hope it was just a tired day for them. The 2 stars were because of the greeter. The server gets 5 stars! Overall, for the price, it was not worth it.

PLEASE READ 🚨 This is by far was the worst breakfast dining experience I’ve had. I understand it’s an airport restauraunt, so the bar is already low, but this was an extremely dissapointing experience. The breakfast food was unappetizing and frankly, misleading! For example, the “Avocado Toast”did not have actual avocado on it. In its place was store bought guacamole and pico de gallo. The scrambled eggs I added were very overcooked and tasteless. The omelette in the “Healthy Breakfast” was also extremely bland, and overall neither dish was worth the 20+ USD. What really pissed us off were the sneaky additional expenses. Although our waitress was nice, she failed to inform us that an additional scrambled eggs would be 5 USD, and that substituting whole for oat milk in two lattes would be 3 USD. The pricing is not the issue. It is the fact that our waitress CONTINUED to ask us if we wanted to include add-ons without informing us of the charges. Not to mention the automatic 20% tip applied. This left us having to pay over 100 USD in total for 2 breakfast dishes and 3 lattes. Outrageous. This restauraunt felt like a huge scam, and I hope anyone fortunate/smart enough to check reviews first sees this before choosing to come here.

Wanted to have some basic omelette and toast breakfast. It was $25 for ‘healthy breakfast’ - bit on the expensive side. I gave it a try anyway thinking that for $25 they should have decent portion size, right? Or atleast the food must taste good? It did not include anything else just an omelette and a side salad. So I was asked if I would like to have toast, cheese, avocado. I said yes to them all. The food arrived 15-20 mins after placing the order. The omelette was small and tasteless, there was one slice of bread, quarter avocado, and a pathetic excuse of an ‘salad’. There was no quality or quantity. The bill came out to be $41. Crazy… Feeling so disappointed. The food was not fulfilling, didn’t taste good, service wasn’t great, plus I got charged so much. Also did I mention that by default they have bottled water, and want you just take a sip of it so that they can charge you. Just baits everywhere. So greedy……… No wonder this place has such low ratings across every single rating sites. Should have checked before entering.

I had a meal here last week after walking the whole of LAX (11k steps total) I waited at the podium for a short time and was asked by a staff member behind the bar to seat myself where I wanted. (That was pretty cool) I took a seat near the window and got to enjoy the OUTSTANDING VIEW of an aircraft literally pulling in to the jetway right below me. The staff member (I wanna say her name was Yuliana, she had close cropped hair and very artistic tattoos on her arm) took my drink order and was friendly but not plastic or overbearing. The bloody Mary I ordered was on target! I also ordered the Caesar salad and had no complaints. As I enjoyed my order I heard staff right behind me laughing and cheering from the kitchen area. This was REALLY ENERGIZING and made my experience even better to feel the energy from the staff on duty. I was unsure on what I wanted to have for the main event so the very artistically endowed staff helped me choose the steak entree and also asked if I wanted another bloody Mary (of course) The steak hit the spot and I felt happily obese after all that food. The Artistically endowed staff member bought my check and threw me a GENUINE SMILE as she continued on in her work day. My overall experience was SINCERELY POSITIVE. I hope when people read this review they understand that if you eat at an airport you will PAY. THATS REALITY. There is nothing worse than a customer who wants to be treated like royalty while spending 25 cents and playing victim or acting the sob story 👎 You want QUALITY? PAY UP. You want economy? Pack your own snacks. Welcome to REAL LIFE. I will be back in LA for a short trip in December. You can COUNT ON ME to stop by B Grill in T7 once again. REAL TALK. very respectfully, scott

Terrible!! Never have I been treated so poorly. You need to Fire these two amateurs. I asked for a seat facing the tv so I could watch the NBA final. I was told no by the young guy. There was 7 empty two tops. I found the manager Evelyn and she handled it like a professional and told him to give me a table. After I sat the older guy, with a mustache waited on me. You could tell that the two boys had spoken because he was rude. He brought me an appetizer and never came back for the next 15 minutes. He didn’t ask if I wanted to order a main dish or refill my drink. I am not sure why they think it is OK to discriminate. Because he never came to check on me I had to get up and go cash out myself with Evelyn. I shared my experience with her and explain that this is very unprofessional behavior and it’s disgusting. There is zero excuse to treat anyone the way these two boys treated me. You need to hire more people like Evelyn. She is amazing. I have the photos and video that shows my server walking right past me for the fourth time and not saying a word.

The sunset was behind the broading plane lane. My first time saw how baggages been delivered on broad the airplane. Waiters are looks mexican or Arabic. They were polite and quick enough for brought me my order meals, and also the bill. IF THE TUURKEY WRAP WITHOUT ADDED BEACON I RATE 5 STARS.

Google
Jamie was an absolute delight behind the bar, especially so early in the morning. She not only offered thoughtful breakfast recommendations to every guest who sat down, but also checked in on me consistently with genuine warmth. Laura, who I believe is a manager, was also actively on the floor, making sure everyone was well taken care of around me. A special shout-out to Jamie for noticing my reusable water bottle and kindly offering to fill it up before my flight. A small gesture, but such a thoughtful one. My healthy omelette was fresh and flavorful, and the extra, extra crispy bacon? Perfectly executed. Looking forward to returning soon, well done!

Yelp
We had a flight delay so stopped by for breakfast. Donna was fabulous! She is energetic and on top of everything we needed. (She even brought extra napkins when she saw we dropped one on the floor. ) we split a burrito which was just enough for my husband and me. This was definitely worth the stop.

Yelp
Blueberry Pancakes were meh. The service was ok The place seemed fairly clean but the lights were so dusty the dust was falling off them onto my head.

Yelp
Airport restaurant with prison standards and service. Nobody enjoys a layover at LAX. With 3 hours in hand and an empty stomach, my partner and I decided to give B Grill a chance. Getting sat immediately was nice as the space wasn't too full. I saw a QR code at the end but didn't think to scan since we received paper menus. Wrong answer. Upon getting seated you have to scan the QR code to tell them you wanted to order--I'll chalk that up as bad communication but partially on my fault. The waitress came by and we placed our order (receipt attached). Now our waitress was actually SO SO kind and helpful. However, the others were overtly loud and rude. After we got our food, I noticed the extra avocado missing and had to flag the staff down to notify them (because we hadn't been checked on in 10 minutes). A couple of waitresses proceed to MOCK ME for how I said excuse me and tried to get their attention. This issue was exacerbated when on the receipt you can see they CHARGED US FOR TAP WATER. If you want truly mediocre food, rude service, and high prices then stop by B Grill. If not, go literally anywhere else.

Yelp
I would not recommend B Grill. While the server was super nice and working very hard, the food was just sad. I stopped here because I was in the mood for a kale caesar. Instead, I received something completely different. The caesar salad was partially wilted romaine, overdressed, and gave two hunks of bread instead of croutons as advertised for $18 with no protein. I would have honestly sent it back if I had more time. Overall I recommend eating somewhere else!

Yelp
I always stop at B Grill whenever I fly United from LA to NJ. The service and food are consistently amazing. This is the second time I've had the cod fish tacos, and they were just as impressive as before--generous portions and perfectly seasoned. The cocktails at the bar are always well done and enjoyable!

Yelp
Steak and eggs once again excellent!! The lights, however, still remain full of dust and filthy. What a shame no one cares enough to clean this up. That aside, the food and service are great.
google avatar

Ron A.

Yelp
Service is probably the slowest that I have leave before I can even order. They should not be inside the airport for this type of service when people are catching a flight in 2hrs! And its still probably not enough for this type of service
google avatar

Shelby S.

Yelp
Stopped here for some wine before taking a red eye flight. They have great ambiance and windows overlooking the tarmac, which made for entertainment while having a drink! My review is only based on their wine and service, as I didn't order food. The wine selection was great for an airport and honestly, prices were not that bad. Our server was super friendly and well attentive. The whole vibe inside was nice- cute decor and lighting. We enjoyed ourselves!
google avatar

Dynae S.

Yelp
Came here for a quick before flight meal. Drinks were fantastic (both had tropical margaritas), the fish was superb, perfectly cooked and not too oily. Got Parmesan and truffle oil on my fries and had zero regrets. The food was fantastic. Service was great! Our waiter Orlando was everything I needed him to be and then some! My best friend said her burger was great too and it was so big she took half with her on the flight. Prices are steep but that should be expected inside an airport.

Yelp
If you're looking for a crash course in what NOT to do when it comes to accommodating gluten allergies, look no further than B Grill. Not only do they lack basic gluten-free options like a simple GF bun, but their understanding of celiac needs could use some serious schooling. I felt like I was playing a gluten-filled game of 20 Questions just to figure out if the onions had batter on them. And don't even get me started on the dressing - trying to get a straight answer on whether it contained gluten was like pulling teeth. Apparently, asking about allergens is a major inconvenience around here. So, if you're in the mood for a side of frustration with your meal, B Grill is the place to be. Just make sure to bring your own gluten-detecting kit and a thick skin because educating the staff on celiac needs might just be your main course. Bon appétit... or not. ‍ #GlutenFreeFail #CeliacNightmare

Yelp
located at terminal 7 of LAX airport. there's a bar area + individual tables. many of the other reviews mentioned slow service and this was true for my experience as well. when i got to the restaurant, there was a sign requesting that we wait to be seated. as i was waiting, i noticed a few servers huddled together behind the bar chatting and even made direct eye contact with them. no one made an attempt to come let me or the small crowd of waiting customers know how long the wait time would be or anything like that (there were definitely empty tables scattered all throughout the restaurant). once i actually got seated, my server was really nice and responsive. i ordered the chicken tenders with fries and it was exactly how you would expect tenders to taste. overall, this was an ok airport experience. i would recommend you check it out IF you have enough time before your next flight.
google avatar

Ben P.

Yelp
Wasn't waiting for a flight or anything and it wasn't busy but service was extremely slow and the QR ordering system just said "see your server". Walked out.

Cameron J.

Yelp
I have never eaten at one of the BOA steak houses...BUTI will never eat here again. Good Lord, it was truly terrible! The " filet medallions" were stringy, overcooked, cold and certainly couldn't have graded any higher than Select. During a long, beef-eating life, I've had some subpar steaks, but never something nasty for $45! BOOOOO BOA!

abbie G.

Yelp
Got these chicken tenders to go. The lady at the counter was nice and told me to would take 10-15mins, and took 10. I was expecting a little more than this. These are sad chicken tenders and for $24. Lame!
google avatar

Nooshi B.

Yelp
Above average airport food for sure! I had the huevos rancheros and a mimosa and both were perfect! Husband had the American breakfast and enjoyed it, although the bacon wasn't as well done as he had asked for. Service was spot on and grabbing seats at the bar was the way to go as we got served super quick!
google avatar

Cheryl J.

Yelp
The food was great. The vibe was was and our waiter Orlando was attentive and had great recommendations. I had the burger medium rare cooked to perfection with a great classic martini. I even met ba professional baseball player while dining here.
google avatar

Gabrielle R.

Yelp
Feel that I went to a different restaurant than other reviewers. We had dinner tonight. While expensive, everything was fresh, prepared well, and service attentive. I had fish and chips. They were hand cut, crunchy fried outside and perfectly flaky on inside. My son ordered his burger medium rare. It had great grilled flavor and was cooked perfectly medium rare. We're foodies and by far best airpor food we've had in a while!
google avatar

Randy M.

Yelp
The service is horrendous here... After signaling the waitress three times, she kept ignoring me, so I just had to go after 20 minutes. Do the people here realize that we are in an airport?
google avatar

Christy C.

Yelp
No Vegan options. Pleasant server, though (he gets 5 stars). Really limited breakfast options. If you have dietary restrictions, look elsewhere.

Rob K.

Yelp
Had the worst cheeseburger ever at the B Grill on Friday. How can anyone screw up a cheeseburger? It seemed to me that the burger was pre-cooked and tasted like leather. People were complaining that the food wasn't coming out on time, but my burger came pretty quickly and that made sense to me after I took the first bite. The burger was priced at $26 - yipes.

Vinh N.

Yelp
Food wasnt even that good, brough out missing utensils for a 3 person dine in with our trip going on. Service is B- with other staff that have to take care for our table as well. Mind you we all paying for ourselves yet the black lady who is our waiter decided to run a lil hidden fee aka service fee on top of it for our bills all paying together. I confronted her on it but all we get is ohhhh it the bill from the machine, biggest lie ever

Mark Q.

Yelp
I waited 30 minutes for a takeout order when the restaurant is not that busy. Food is way overpriced, even for an airport. Food quality is around average. Walk in further into the terminal for better places. Do not order the egg and steaks. They give you two small slabs of meat (half the size of my palm) and gave me well-done when I asked for rare. Sausage tastes like dried up cookie, and the blueberry in the pancake dish was dried and not fresh at all.
google avatar

Bradford G.

Yelp
TLDR: For an airport establishment... not horrible. Is it going to impress you? No. Did it get the job done without disappointment? Yes. Visit: Weekend (dinner) Rating: Pimento Cheese Bacon-cado Burger- 6.6/10 The better of the two burgers we had. It wasn't particularly great, or hot... but it did taste pretty good. It was a standard bacon cheeseburger with bacon and avocado. However, in my humble opinion, it had an offensively small amount pimento cheese (so I'd suggest asking for extra). The fries were actually freshly fried, crispy, and salted well. BOA Burger- 6.1/10 Slightly above average. Despite the additions of a unique cheese and crispy toppings, it was still lacking in flavor. All in all, it was adequate.
google avatar

Sasha N.

Yelp
Sergio was great. He understood that I had a flight to catch really soon and he worked really hard to get my order in quickly and make sure I was on my way as quickly as possible. He was friendly, funny, and professional, and the bar area was great as well. I just got a drink and a side order of fries and the food and drinks were great. Good spot super close to gates 70-75.
google avatar

Alyssa A.

Yelp
Nice place to stop while you're waiting for your flight in the United Terminal. Has a super lively vibe, and the staff are pleasant. We only ordered drinks and appetizers while we were here, but the truffle tots were delicious. A little pricey for how many you get, but it's to be expected in an airport. Drinks were delicious, and we were surprised by how good they were. Great Bloody Mary and Blackberry Smash was a nice, refreshing adult beverage. There were plenty of tables open when we got here, they sat us right away, and we had no issue ordering. Prices are higher, but nothing I wouldn't expect for an airport restaurant. What we ordered was good and of good quality. A good choice for a drink and some starters while waiting for your flight in terminal 7.

Aigerim E.

Yelp
"They overcharge customers, be careful. The restaurant has cocktails, but no prices listed."

Logan M.

Yelp
i know airport food is always expensive. but it should be fully illegal to charge $22 for 3 soggy mediocre chicken fingers that are smaller than a dollar bill. i almost flipped my table out of anger when they brought this out. mind you DISNEYLAND charges $13 for a chicken tender plate bigger than this. i hate this place
google avatar

Danielle H.

Yelp
Quick coffee good food. Had a very early morning flight. Needed a coffee and some food. The restaurant doesn't open until 6 but the coffee bar was open. The coffee is made super fast! Ordered a sandwich which did take a while however it was quick tasty. Starting my morning and flight off right. 4/5
google avatar

Ashley S.

Yelp
Horrible food!!!! Terrible service! Restaurant was not busy but our server Charlisa acted like it was max capacity, no time for us. I didn't want a full meal, just a side of protein and she said they can't do that. Even though, I've been here before and they did it- no problem! I don't expect the airport restaurant to be 5 stars but at least 3?! Smiles and warm welcome? Decent service? Nope! Felt like- "here's your shit!" Perhaps the worst service I've ever experienced...
google avatar

Mr P.

Yelp
BOA should take their name off the sign and the dirty menu ! This place needs a scrub down - desperately . I don't think I've ever eaten in a place that has the balls to charge 40$ for a steak and fries that feels they don't need to do a basic cleaning of their establishment or throw out an old paper menu after it has been scribbled on or collected food stains. Yuk. If you must sit at the bar and order a drink. I had to wait 20 min to get a scotch and water delivered to a table. These new LAX terminals are supposed to be an upgrade - Not with food service. I have been to so many other airports that have done their home work to make the travelers have a great experience from the minute they get thru check in. Not this terminal. Maybe others are better ? Maybe it's time to stop flying United. To much time at LAX.
google avatar

Kevin L.

Yelp
Yikes. I should have scanned the reviews before lunching here. Perhaps it's just the terminal I transited... for a major international airport, LAX sure has shitty dining options. The restaurant was only a quarter full when I stopped by. It still took several minutes to be acknowledged by someone to get seated. Several more minutes went by before I was presented with a menu. And yet again, several more before I was able to submit an order. No draft beers were available. I just ordered a Sam Adams and a burger. All I can recall is thinking that the In-N-Out I had for dinner later the same day was far superior. Oh... and I get it's in an airport... but a $40 tab for a beer and burger feels extreme, even to this Manhattanite. I'm the first person to admit that I would gladly pay $40 for a beer and burger... but it's gotta be worth it. This was not it.
google avatar

Jenna J.

Yelp
Tried the chicken caprese sandwich to go while waiting for a flight. Terrible customer service. The cashiers were not polite. It took a solid 15 minutes to get my food. Terribly pricey. Bread was soggy. Sandwich needed flavor or salt or something. Wouldn't recommend.
google avatar

Zen G.

Yelp
The quality of Airport food varies but generally expectations are low. My experience at the grill was in line with low expectations. The BOA burger sounded promising with Camembert and onions. However the patty was flavorless. Salt and pepper improved it somewhat but nothing would make it a good burger. The aperol spritz tasted alright but I think the Prosecco was flat - no spritzing detected.
google avatar

Ruriko S.

Yelp
I stopped at B Grill because I saw that they serve Peet's coffee which I love. They did not have Mocha coffee on their list of prices. When I asked the cashier she told me that they do make Mocha coffee. She forgot to tell me that they charge $1.19 extra for that. I paid almost $10.00 for a cup of coffee. This is ridiculous.
google avatar

Amira C.

Yelp
I'm on my flight waiting to take off, googling if boa steakhouse in weho has brunch or sells pancakes because these pancakes are delicious! So so good. I didn't have high expectations, and I'm a pancake girly, 10/10.
google avatar

Ruth D.

Yelp
Was it a good Impossible Burger? Yeah, it was good. Was it worth $20? Only if that $20 represents inflation. The fries were ho-hum and it took some minutes for my to-go order. Still, for a place open past 10pm in an airport, I was relatively happy with my dinner choice. Note that the burger does not come with any sauces on it. The cashier asked if I wanted ketchup. I assumed that was for the fries. I said no, walked away, made myself cozy at a charging station, then returned to B to ask for some mayonnaise. Good enough for a bite while traveling, but pricey. I would not recommend ordering the Impossible Burger if you are running to your gate.
google avatar

Max N.

Yelp
Veggie Wrap Ginger Beer Cool place to eat while you are waiting to catch your next flight ...service was great and excellent I have my boys with me and when they enjoyed their meal, I know we are ready to enjoy the quality time...Music and the environment give you more vibes
google avatar

Shawn F.

Yelp
Food is decent, though a bit overpriced. Server was very attentive and service was good. Got the roasted turkey wrap which comes with fries or salad as a side.
google avatar

Darren O.

Yelp
Solid airport burger. I got the pimento bacon avocado burger. High quality meat, good pimento mix with just enough heat, really good bacon. Friendly service and the food came out quickly. Good job!
google avatar

Jonah P.

Yelp
Abysmal omelette that was some egg whites with tomato's thrown in, with a side salad that was just a couple pieces of spinach. Worst spent $26 of my life.
google avatar

Belle S.

Yelp
The person at the host station got this post downgraded. I walked up and the lady with hair up in bun on top of head and fierce bangs said ' it's lunch now and it will take at least 30 minutes to get your food'. Well isn't that a welcome! Lucky for this establishment I travel quite a bit and this is a normal stop. My waitress was totally awesome and took great care of me. Food is usually good and this visit was no exception. Also, got my soup in 5 minutes and my turkey wrap in an additional 10. No where near the 30 minutes the host quoted.
google avatar

Natalia J.

Yelp
considering this is an airport restaurant, I would say that this is a pretty good spot. It's really expensive but one of the nicer ones in the united terminal. I enjoyed a delicious espresso martini and some pretty OK huevos rancheros. I devoured it in like two seconds and our server was super friendly and it was empty because it was 6:30 in the morning.

Kay H.

Yelp
I agree with some of the reviews, the hostess sucked. But I won't even get into it because everything else was great and perfect for my layover hunger. Once I did get seated, my server (Richard) was on top of it! Grabbed my drink right away. Took my order right away. Checked up on me. It was busy by the way, so he just flat out gets an A+. The chicken strips were awesome! I wasn't expecting much for airport food but they were actually piping hot and tasted pretty good. Fries were served just as hot. I can't stand cold food. This was a pleasant experience. Tables seemed pretty clean too. Overall I say this was one of the better dining experiences I've had in the several airports I've been in.
google avatar

Iva C.

Yelp
Food was actually decent. I got there at 10:25am right as they were changing over from the breakfast to lunch menu so I ordered the grilled salmon with Chimichurri sauce off the lunch menu. It came with mashed potatos and broccoli that seemed to be cooked in butter and garlic that was delicious. I would get this dish again. Service was slow however. They have a sign that says "please wait to be seated" but after standing there for a few minutes the bartender waived me to seat myself. Once I found a table it took about 5 minutes for me to flag a server to come to the table. The server told me the kitchen was backed up and my food would take about 15 minutes, which I was fine with since I had time to kill.

N G.

Yelp
Food is tasty, and good hostess is not ok , Waiter Angel is good, Working as professional. Recommend this place for chill
google avatar

Landon L.

Yelp
It's tough to find good clean food especially at the airport. The reviews on just about everything in this terminal were pretty bleak so we just picked this place and it turns out it was great. They sat us right away asking us when our flight was boarding so they could ensure we got a meal and still made our flight. The food was very nice, clean and quick, and our server was very attentive and upbeat. Thank you!
google avatar

Cynthia B.

Yelp
Enjoyed a tasty caesar with salmon. Lucky to get a window seat during sunset and lots of activity to watch below... Thank you Yuliana B for too-notch service!

John H.

Yelp
Food is terrible. I had the chicken strips and skirt steak, both flavorless. I don't understand why Boa would put their name on this restaurant. It ruins their credibility. Service is terrible too. I asked for water and didn't get water.

Jason L.

Yelp
This is what I got for $35 here at B Grill. The menu also mentions a steak sauce and they brought at spicy tomato sauce.... I asked the waiter where is the rest of the steak? As shown in the photo I got 2 scraps of meat that have been boiled. She have informed me that this is it.... I understand it is in a airport but just go grab a chip or sandwich somewhere else. There is nothing worth eating here.
