The 13 Best Restaurants In Bermondsey

"You know that feeling you get when you watch Chocolat and decide you’re going to quit your job and just do deeply charming things for the rest of eternity? B Street Deli is that feeling with the additional benefit of cheesy quiche, huge doorstop sandwiches, and bouquets for sale by the door. Even if you’re just stopping by for a coffee, it’s impossible to look at the deli counter and not order a pistachio canelé and a sausage roll for the road. Open from 8am to 11pm (10:30pm on Sundays), stop by with a friend for a quaint coffee catch-up and dog-watching by day or hit it up for a great little red wine and charcuterie date night come evening." - heidi lauth beasley, daisy meager

One simply does not visit White Cube and just walk away—oh no, that would be a travesty. The atmosphere? Impeccable. The people? As curated as the art. And the refreshments? Nothing short of a masterpiece in their own right—fresh, flavourful, and utterly delightful. Whether you’re here for the art, the ambience, or just an excuse to indulge in some top-tier nibbles and drinks, B Street Deli delivers on all fronts. Highly recommend—though be warned, you may leave feeling far too sophisticated for your own good.

Stopped in on a trip to London and was amazed at all the incredible food on offer. We had a prosciutto sandwich on focaccia and it was absolutely delicious. The lighting creates a lovely atmosphere and staff were very friendly and attentive. Very reasonably priced too for central London. Absolutely loved it.

Google
Really loved this place, the atmosphere felt very cosy and inviting. The service was a little on the slow side as the restaurant was really busy, meaning we had to wait 40 minutes for our cheeseboard. But apart from that we had a lovely experience and would return!

Lovely deli in Bermondsey, that serves rolls/ pastries/sandwiches/ salads and platters! I enjoyed my coffee and sandwich but would love to return for cheese platter and wine!

Absolutely loved this place! The cozy atmosphere makes it feel warm and inviting, yet even when full, it never feels overcrowded. The selection of beverages is fantastic, with something for everyone. A perfect spot to relax and unwind—I’ll definitely be coming back!

We had a fantastic evening at B Street Deli! Emily, Ivan, and Jean Claude were absolutely wonderful. The wine selection was outstanding, the cheese platter was delicious, and the warm smiles and kindness of the team truly made our night. Thank you again for the unforgettable experience! :) We will definitely come back soon! Marie, Giovanni & Pauline

We were in London for the first time in our lives. This beautiful and quiet neighborhood with a large number of cafes and wine bars stands out completely outside the hustle and bustle of the big city. We really liked this bar here. The staff was very helpful and nice. The place on the corner lured us with its open doors and a large selection of fresh salads, pastries, baguettes and fragrant coffee. I can recommend it a thousand times. Keep it up gentlemen!

If you want the golden ratio of quality and atmosphere then this is the place for you. Staff will treat you with the needed seriousness and smile. Everything is top quality and the atmosphere will make you think “ok this was a good night out” when you go back home. Music is light and with the right volume so you can have a conversation. I will absolutely visit again!

Yelp
The staff is very friendly and helpful. There is a large amount of delicious looking pastries and sandwiches on display. The prices are reasonable. Worth a look if you are in the area and want a quick bite to eat.

Yelp
If you are looking for a sandwich, salad, pastry or dessert this is the go to place near London Bridge, it's quaint, the vibe is incredible and the staff are absolutely delightful. This has now become must stop for us when in London, honestly a hidden

Yelp
Came here on a Saturday morning circa 10:30am and was still able to get seats. This wasn't the case when I left at 12pm. Ordered a bacon and egg bruschetta which was lined with smashed avocado as well. Absolutely delicious. The pic may look the egg is over done but I did ask for it this way. Folks next to me ordered the crispy bacon and egg bap which also looked equally awesome. Will get this next time.

Yelp
We stopped in after arriving in town, and while walking to our hotel spotted the cute little B Street Deli. We doubled back after dropping our bags off for a quick lunch, and I really fell in love with the place. Hanging around the place is a bunch of hunks of cured meats, and all around are fresh cheeses and meats that look (and taste) delicious! My girlfriend got a cheddar and chutney sandwich that was pressed and warmed perfectly. It had such a nice balance of sharpness from the cheese, and a perfect sweetness of the chutney. Very tasty on a baguette. For myself I went with the Chorizo sandwich, which I think was paired with manchego. This was possibly the best sandwich of this kind that I've ever had. I think I died a few times, and was revived by the delicious pairing of the meat and cheese. The staff is super friendly and fun, and seems to have a fun time while working - making it a very light hearted and cute place to grab a quick meal. The coffee was pretty standard, but maybe that's not why you would come to this delicious deli! Check it out!

Yelp
I can not express how lovely this tiny cafe/cured meat/cheese place is. It has a very tempting selection of goodies. The staff are lovely and friendly. Just a walk away from London Bridge Station and near the more popular F**Koffee. This is a little hidden gem of delight. I highly recommend you go and sample the food, drinks and snacks.

Yelp
As a single, older woman travelling abroad alone, I custom-pick where I want to eat dinner. Places with couples are out. Warmth and an inviting ambiance are what I'm looking for. The staff at B Street Deli knew how to make me feel like part of the community. I was led not to a table in the corner, but to one right smack in the middle of the bustling, amicable action. Before I knew it, I had a charcuterie plate custom-made by the chef (forgive me for not remembering your name, either) who learned his magic in Nigeria as well as Italy. The San Giovese that accompanied this mini-sculpoture was divine -- I had two glasses of it, and I never go beyond 1. Before I knew it, I was embraced by a family from Pretoria, South Africa, and I knew I had arrived. I would recommend this bistro, charcuterie, and coffee haus (the baked goods should be a controlled substance) in every way, shape, and form. Thank you for making this one of the best nights of my vacation time in London. Bravo!!!

Yelp
Really enjoyed our visit to B Street Deli. Service was great, the menu was simple but had everything you need. We got a bottle of Malbec and a mixed charcuterie board which was awesome. They slice everything fresh in front of you and and the roasted pickled vegetables. The environment is relaxing and you can have a conversation without trying to talk over any noise. We are glad we found this place walking around the London Bridge area. Great Place!!

Yelp
B street Deli is a tiny, cosy cured meats and cheese mecca who do amazing coffees and wines. The meat board is particularly amazing. I'm still thinking about it weeks later. Addictive. If you go there for breaky the cured ham with a boiled egg and some av on toast is bound to start you day off on the right foot. Or see if they will do you a meat board for breaky. Protein breakfast. Perfect. There's sandwiches as well so it's good for a quick lunch takeaway. At night you can choose from a couple of different tapas like bresaola and chutney on croutons. Yes please. They are a wine bar too but with limited options. I would love to see a more dynamic wines by the glass list or at least a Chardonnay or Riesling or something a bit orange by the glass. So skip the by the glass options and go a bottle.

Yelp
Cosy little hideaway along Bermondsey Street. The unit used to be occupied by a florist (and her shaggy golden retriever) who's since moved into the London Bridge station. In terms of dessert choice B Street ranks after Del Aziz just further down the street. But they do carry one mean German cheesecake: the tougher, non creamy one. That's a rarity in London, it seems.

Yelp
Bermondsey Street is different almost every time I visit the area. Gone are the days when this was an area of workshops and just the odd local pub, with tumble weed blowing down the road at weekends. The street and surrounding area have changed dramatically and now offer a great choice of bars and cafes open throughout the week. I hadn't spotted B Street Deli before, a cosy delicatessen on a street corner, and was drawn in by the tempting food counter. Settled for a coffee only, perfect for a quick catch up with a friend before moving on to taking in the latest exhibition at the White Cube just a few doors along.

Yelp
I was feeling a bit peckish in the mid afternoon and by chance found the B Street Deli on Bermondsey Street. The fist good thing that happened was they asked us (with my son) what we wanted: "bread, cheese, meats, and wine." They knew exactly what fit the bill. The charcuterie platter they presented was spectacular, well chosen, and tasty. We had a selection of three cheeses (my favourite were the Rachel goat cheese and the Brie de meaux), a selection of Serrano ham and others, two breads, olives, grapes, eggplant, and salad. Hidden in the goodies were two pickled onions that were brilliant. We had a Cabrials Pinot noir (2015). All in all, this is a delightful place to stop by, slow down, and have an afternoon interlude.

Yelp
Exactly what a deli should be. On one side, a long counter displaying all manner of cheeses, meats, breads and other goodies. On the other a row of bar room seats for sampling some of the goods in store. Coffee is available in both espresso and V60 forms from a choice of 4 freshly ground beans. I opted for a V60 brew made from beans displaying lovely fruity notes. For more substantial fare, freshly made soups and sandwiches are on offer. Nothing fancy, but all made with good quality base ingredients. Some tasty looking sweet things are available too! Although it was only my first visit, I was made to feel very welcome. The owner had just taken delivery from a new supplier of salad leaves and offered me some samples and asked for my views. Amazing!

Yelp
Such a cute deli, but sadly not a great experience here. Really slow and bad service, hot chocolate did not have any chocolate in, coffee was bitter and we actually waited 30 mins to receive them anyway. However - the breakfasts looked great if you have time to wait for them!

Yelp
Bloody love this place. Had a trying day in London and found this place. Started drinking wine. It was great. Service was superb. Sat outside in the street, it was the start of summer. We got a cheeseboard, it was heavy loaded with so much amazing and different cheeses, big basket of fresh baked bread, olive oil and balsamic, fruit, chutney. Drank more wine. I could have stayed there all night, sat outside on the street, still warm. But I had to get a train. Manager was supernice. One of the best.

Yelp
Simple. Delightful. Excellent food and friendly staff. Only disappointment is it is not in Southend but it means I will have to come to London again. Oh what a tragedy

Aaron S.

Yelp
Poor quality customer service, poor quality of food. I would expect the cafe to offer cooked food for the price and not merely deli plates. I generally enjoy the restaurants and bars in this street, but this place really isnt for me.

Yelp
Either for a light brunch, afternoon wine and apps, and late night wine, this deli is amazing for everything :). Reasonable bottles and great people. And very smooth coffee!

Yelp
Was in town visiting a friend who lives down the street from this cozy, friendly and fabulous establishment. Great cheeses and cured meats. Didn't try the deserts, but they looked delicious. What a wonderful place. So wonderful that we came here three times in one week. Thank you to the welcoming staff.
