Ba Mien Bistro

Decided to check out this little place near my house for lunch and was really surprised. Very clean and bright interior. The bread was freshly toasted and the coffee was super sweet but still had a distinct flavor. 11 bucks for a great lunch. Thanks!

Food was okay. Catered for Americans. Front desk Service was very nice, helpful, and fast. But there is no table service, so if you need something you need to go ask. We got a combination vermicelli bowl, meat was tough but the flavor was there. Small outdated dining area. They also mentioned they updated their menu. Parking situation outside is a bit confusing. The building from outside looks abandoned or out of business

I’ve been coming here for the past few years and they NEVER disappoint. Their vermicelli bowls are delicious. I’ve tried to go to other restaurants to get the same thing when Ba Mien is closed but none of them compare. They are the best!!

I work nearby and have been coming here for the last 5 years or so. They have NEVER disappointed. I have yet to have a banh mi that beats the one I get from here. I would also highly recommend their pad thai. Not many places make this dish anymore and they do it to perfection. They even give you peanuts to go along with it. That's how authentic it is. I usually always get pork as my protein but all the other meats are just as good. Service is always friendly and efficient.

I have been visiting this place since my early college years in 2012. I LOVE this place, and even though I don't live in Spring anymore, I will drive across town to eat their food. Please stop by, they deserve your patronage and will fill you up for a good price! Don't forget to grab homemade macarons on your way out.

Real basic vietnamese food. Ordered combo pho and bun salad, the portion size were small and expensive yet its not loaded with the normal stuff it normally comes with like tripe for the pho and shrimp and eggroll for the salad. Not worth the price

Charming, little restaurant with great taste. This is a fresh and clean version of Vietnamese food. While there are several that are cheaper in the area, Ba Mien Bistro beats them all because of the quality. Plus, the have a little of everything, and it's all good.

We always order the grilled beef sandwich with extra meat through Uber eats. Always tastes great and good size. Would recommend!

Let's talk about Ba Mien Bistro. When I first moved here in June I ordered from them and it was amazing! The bahn mi, the spring rolls and also the egg roll salad. Those are my go tos. I also used to order the pineapple tea and it was soooo good. The issue now is not the quality of the food but them making mistakes with the orders. I ordered the egg roll salad which is essentially a Vietnamese salad with cut up egg rolls on top. They sent only the egg rolls and only 2 of them instead of 4. No salad. So I paid $16 for two egg rolls. I thought maybe they were busy and it was a simple mistake. Uber was able to fix the issue and we were good. After a week out of town for work I wanted so good ole Vietnamese food and ordered Ba Mien again. Same issue happened again. Charged $16 for my salad but only got two egg rolls. Had to fight Uber to fix it. I am not okay with someone repeatedly messing up orders and simply not reading. I hope it is a mistake and not being done on purpose. Charging people for one thing and not giving them that item isn't a good look. Going to have to go on a new search for another local Vietnamese spot. Sad because they were really good but this behavior just isn't ethical.

The chicken rice plate was ridiculously tasty, and the shrimp fried rice my wife had was on another level. Huge props for the flavorful goodness and generous helpings. The service was speedy and kind and the restaurant is small but charming and inviting. Super stoked about our meal, and we'll be back for sure!

Their banh mi's are so good! The actual dining area is quite small so I usually take it to go. It's nestled in an unsuspecting shopping center so you really have to look for it. The baguette bread is usually pretty fresh and crisp. Although banh mi's are traditionally come with pate, they don't serve that here (I order it ots anyways). Fried eggs cost a dollar extra and you can ask for more/less veggies.

Very disappointed coming here. We had the chili wings, and they weren't as crispy as they normally are when we used to come here Additionally, their fried rice was bland, even with the addition of soy sauce to it. I got the pho combo and even though the broth itself was good, the meat didn't taste fresh at all. The customer service itself is very good, alongside with how adorable the interior of the restaurant itself is. It is nice you can self serve your own utensils and water. I would definitely come back and give it another shot but I was disappointed with my visit

I visited this sweet little gem of a restaurant and had virmacelli bowl with grilled pork and it was delicious. My daughter had grilled chicken bahn mi sandwich and it also was fresh and delicious. I highly recommend and will be back in the near future.

Cute little hidden shack selling some of the absolute best Vietnamese food I've ever had. I'm an absolute sucker for any sort of bun dac biet, and Ba Mien Bistro gets the job done every single time! The restaurant may look a bit rough on the outside, but the moment you walk in the interior is absolutely polished to perfection. It is a bit on the smaller side with only a few tables being able to sit maybe 4 people max, so maybe this place isn't the best option if you're with a large group! You order at the counter then take a seat wherever you'd like. They're always speedy with the food and there's pretty good tunes playing on the speaker while you eat! Definitely check this place out if you're in the 1960 area!

Delicious absolutely loved this so much ! We got two beef rice plate orders and we added the cup of bone broth to each order . The beef was sooo well flavored it was a little tough but it was still very good . The fish sauce was a bit on the sweeter side which was different but I loved the bone broth soooo much it was delicious . We will definitely order from here again !

I've had a hard time finding good pho while visiting Texas and so this place was such a welcome surprise! I'll start by saying due to the location and empty parking lot, my partner did not want to go in. The location was in close proximity to our hotel though so I assured him that the reviews were excellent and convinced him to at least go inside. When you enter, You order and pay at the counter and then take a seat in the quaint bistro seating area. I loved the old French-quarter cafe vibes. There is also a few patio seats available. The water and silverware are self-serve before you seat yourself. We got the grilled shrimp vermicelli bowl, shrimp spring rolls and rare beef flank steak pho. The food came out really fast, portion sizes were large and food was delicious! Highly recommend Ba Mien Pho if you're in the area!

Ba Mien is my husband and I's number one pho place. Every where we go to try pho we compare to Ba Mien. Their food is so comforting after a long day. I would honestly eat a hot bowl of pho on a hot Houston summer day any time. Their shrimp spring rolls are my all time favorite. My husband loves their fried rice. Their pad Thai is AWESOME. The right amount of spice and tamarind ratio. I can keep going on and on but you HAVE to come here. The ambiance is so cute and would make a great place for a first date or a lunch to catch up with friends. The service is always sweet and I'm pretty sure at this point they know what we usually go for when we come in. I've been meaning to leave a review for years but kept forgetting! Please give them a try!

Their food selection is really varied and delicious My favorite are their pork spring rolls and their beef soup!

I love this place. I can say so much. Try everything you wont be let down. From the appetizers to the rice plates to pho. It's all great portions and authentic in flavor. The 2 women at the front are sweet and cool to chat with. I never have a chance to take a photo of the food, it's so good I cant wait to eat.

Time for an update. STILL FANTASTIC! We've never had a bad dish here, not even a bad bite. Service is counter-order then they bring it out. Best dish by far is their chicken wings - still. You don't have to travel to Bellaire to get your Vietnamese fix. This place gives you all you'll ever need!

I have been looking for a place that had some good fried rice. I think I found it. I passed by this place many times, but I didn't know it was here until my wife asked me to meet her last week for dinner. She ordered the beef . Both items were very good. I like the ambience of the restaurant. The service was good. I will be coming back very soon.

The food USED to be good here. It's now DISGUSTING the rice is mushy sowy. Overall. It's just now horrible they no longer cook food like they use too. Try Tasty Pho they will not disappoint. I regret giving this business another try

Incredible. Just as exceptional as the montrose/midtown location and I'm thrilled that it's here in my new neighborhood! Woo HOO! The spring rolls are fantastic and fresh. It has a cute interior for dining in. And the staff is knowledgeable of the menu and helpful. Win win! We love it. Also great for take out. The pho is a serious and legit winner here. You won't be dissatisfied with it. What a relief to have such a divine viet option here in my hood!

Houston server review !! 3 stars based off customer service and wait time for two Banh Mi sandwiches was about 18 mins close to 20. It was pretty slow so I'm not sure why it took that long . Drinks came 10-11 mins. I clearly ask for a Raspberry smoothie and got raspberry tea. Still after the sandwiches came Out I still Didn't have my raspberry smoothie till the end of my meal. The lady at the front had a little bit of an attitude, same one who brought out our food and kept saying she's making my smoothie. Still after being there for 30 mins still no smoothie . She finally came out with the smoothie and guess what . She gave me a strawberry smoothie.., lol kinda over priced but food was decent .

The best Vietnamese restaurant I've tried in the area so far! I've had the pork banh mi and the vermicelli and both were so fresh and delicious. The inside is clean and well decorated. The cashier is polite and I always receive my food in timely manner. 10/10!

Let me be the first to tell you that their strawberry smoothies...... ARE SO BOMB! Idk what it is about it but it's so creamy, taste like real strawberries and not syrup & perfectly blended. Their fried rice is so good too! It's full of flavor and has protein in every bite and they give you a generous serving size! I love to come here ! It's worth checking out!

The pho beef stew was DELICIOUS. It was my first time trying pho and I was extremely impressed. The beef was so tender. I also tried the fried dumplings, I've had better nonetheless still pretty tasty! I'm sure if I had eaten them fresh rather than to-go they would've hit the spot.

Food is really good. The spring rolls are the best spring rolls I've had in my opinion. The steak spring rolls with that sauce so yummy. Honestly do not judge a book by it's cover.

I go here often and order the Tofu stir fry rice plate and the tofu spring rolls, both are delicious. The spring rolls will fall apart on you though. I occasionally order the veggie fried rice but there aren't enough veggies for me.

Found this restaurant on Yelp while looking for a good Vietnamese restaurant. Easy to order online. Ordered 3 grilled pork bahn mi sandwiches with extra meat, a bowl of wonton noodle soup, and grilled pork vermicelli noodles. Arrived within 20 minutes to pick up my food and the hostess at the register was very pleasant. She packed up my order and everything made it home with no spills. Everything was very tasty and fresh. My father hadn't had the vermicelli bowls before and he enjoyed it. Nice to have a great option so close by. Didn't have a chance to take pictures bc we were ready to eat it up! Very yummy.

This is a fun and good place for Vietnamese and my favorite, shrimp pad Thai. We enjoy the macarons after dinner, too, and the boba and flavored teas.

Came by for lunch and really enjoyed the food an atmosphere. It's a very cute little hole in the wall and we enjoyed our ba meins. I will say that the food did take a while and it was a little weird that a large group of men who ordered after us got their food before we did. I'd definitely go back to try more food but I may order to-go to see if it's a little more timely.

This spot had great neighborhood reviews and is very local to me. Was excited to finally for lunch today. Very easy to drive by the plaza, if you could call it that. Parking situation isn't the greatest, half of the building is boarded up, pavement is chewed up. You order at a counter and sit cafeteria style. Inside of the restaurant looks a lot better than the exterior. We ordered Pork and Shrimp Spring Rolls which were fair. I ordered a Pork Banh Mi and my husband ordered a Beef one. My Banh Mi is the one pictured. First few bites were all bread. The amount of bread is crazy, although it is soft and crispy on the outside, too much for my liking. The meat was good I guess. It was hard for me to taste anything other than bread so it's hard to say. My husband's sandwich seemed like it barely had any meat. They provide a lot of vegetables, if you can taste it. It's cheap and will fill you up for the rest of the day which I suppose is the silver lining. Probably won't return.

I got the spicy beef. Very disgusting! I've never had my spicy beef taste like so much cinnamon! I absolutely hated it!! The pork egg rolls were great! But they're spring roll size not egg rolls!

I found this quaint little bistro 8 years ago when I use to work across the street. The original owners sold the bistro and is under new management now but still serve great tasting food. When I'm in the area to get my lashes done, I like to stop by and have a meal. My favorite menu items are the wonton soup and their chili basil wings. But everything else like their pho is delicious. Don't forget their Vietnamese coffee (Cafe Sua Da) so smooth and ice cold!

The food is Excellent, and the service is fantastic. The staff knows you when you enter. I love the ambiance and it's very clean.

This place was great. The ambience was nice and chill. My food was hot and fresh. I got the spring rolls, Grilled Beef Sandwich and Chicken Pho. I also ordered a Peach and melon tea. I didn't really care for the spring rolls. But it was my first time having them so they're probably not my thing. Everything else was absolutely amazing. I shared the sandwich with my boyfriend who has never had Vietnamese food and he loved it. I hate that I wanted so long to try this place. I wanted to treat myself and this hit the spot. Will be back soon.

Best vietnamese food I've had by me. The spicy beef pho is my favorite and yes it is actually spicy. The sandwiches are also really good and another favorite. I get takeout at least once every 2 weeks.

Pleasantly surprised, this establishment was very tasty and authentic. The flavors of each dish I had was on point. I had the bun thit nuong and spring rolls. The service was amazing, super friendly restaurant owner. Highly recommend if you're in the area and have a taste for Vietnamese food
