BABA BUREKAS

Hey guys! Just checked out this new place. Unbelievable they are solely a burekas joint. You have a choice of 4 different kinds (I attached a picture of menu), some really interesting drinks and desserts. We got the spinach and cheese burekas. It comes with a bunch of side things, an egg, some sauces and olives. The burekas was cooked to perfection. Crunchy on the outside soft and flaky on the inside. The cheese mixture with spinach flavor was superb. The place is brand new. Very beautifully remodeled and clean. The owner Omri is there always with his bright smile, very friendly and warm. All in all excellent service and excellent food.

Best most delicious and fresh burekas in town! Handmade from scratch. Served with different small sides like pickles, shredded tomatoes, hard boiled egg, and spicy schug. The atmosphere is great and the owner is very nice and involved in the business. 5 stars 🌟 all the way, will definitely be coming back for more.

it was very tasty, I was driving and thinking where to eat, intuition led me to them. I am very glad that I found them, now I have a place in my memory where I can go and eat deliciously, thank you!

There are no words to describe how delicious it is, I took cheese and spinach inside, with egg and tomato paste, according to the seller's recommendation, the price is decent and very worth it, the service is kind and happy, I will definitely come back!

The menu is limited but the items pack a punch. The pastry is perfect. It's warm, flaky, soft, chewy, and perfectly filling for lunch. The extra fixings add even more dimension if you need a little heat and tang. I had the cheese and spinach one and it left me very full for lunch.

Compared to Borekas Sephardic Pastries in Sherman Oaks, these bourekas were inferior in comparison. They were partly raw, doughy, and very salty. I hope mine was just a one off, because it was inedible. I threw away the raw and uncooked parts. I'm not sure if they rushed through making mine. They made up for the bad experience by bringing me complimentary Israeli dessert. Go for their dessert. Try their malabi, a traditional, rose-scented milk pudding. This is was highlight for me at this restaurant and something they do well. I would come back for this. For bourekas, stick to Borekas Sephardic Pastries in Sherman Oaks because their bourekas are on another level (even when comparing to the more traditional bourekas I've been tasting at Bibi's Bakery & Cafe).

Disgusting! Was happy to hear of a borekas place opening close to my house. This guy should not be in food business The Burekas I got was pre made the day before and was reheated before it was served. The potato inside was cold .... I got my order 10 minutes before my friend did.... When I told the guy the potato was cold he took it back and put tones of oil on it so it would not burn. Needless to say the butekas tasted like burned oil but at least the potato was warm this time. I could not eat it I will not go back Save your money - get the real thing at the Sherman oaks borekas place !!!

Amazing burekas, and other foods. This is a new place, they do not yet have a sign! Everything they serve is amazing. The owner chef takes pride that all customers are happy. I have been there 4 times and everyone loves their pastries burekas.

Absolutely delicious! We ordered the potato and cheese Burekas with all the sides. Flaky, gooey, wonderful. I highly recommend. I just wish we had places like this in the Bay Area.

Borekas Sephardic blows this place away. Like comparing a croissant from Paris to one from Costco. Don't waste your money. Well, unless you like a hard, chewy bureka.

Never open. Website says they're open til 4pm. I go in at 3pm, the guy says they're closed. I go in at 12pm, doors are all locked. Terrible business model.

Food was flavorless. Too tiny for charging so much. I was so excited about trying it and I got very disappointed.

The Quest for the best Borekas in town continues indeed.. and in today's episode, we feature spinach and cheese flaky pastry, came along side with olives, grounded tomato, zchug, and some zaatar spice, nice touch.

These guys know what they're doing. Great food!! When we were there the selection was not so great but regardless the food they had was outstanding! Is it expensive? It's kosher - what do you think? Of course it's kind of expensive but well worth it. I look forward to returning someday when the full menu will be available. (P.S. The Baskin Robbins three doors down is also great. Also, owned by MsOT)

If I can give it 1000 stars I would. This is the best Burekas I have ever had. It was fresh, tasty, CRISPY AND FLAKEY. I can't wait to go back. I definitely would recommend everyone to eat here.

Talk about delicious burekas a Middle Eastern dish stuffed with delicious mouth watering cheese. Now of course they have other burekas stuffed with spinach and cheese, mashed potatoes, and the list goes on. The dish comes with hard boiled eggs and other salsas in the side. It is extremely delicious and I highly recommend this place.

Easily the best burekas in LA. I really feel like i'm back in Israel when I'm here-- The staff is incredibly friendly, it's always nice stopping by for a meal and a small chat. The sides included in the dish are phenomenal and really add to the already fantastic flavor of the bureka. Can't recommend this place enough

Cheese borekas was tooooo salty, and it didn't have enough cheese and seasonings! Good thing it didn't have enough cheese otherwise it would've been saltier. Sorry guys, we won't be back !

Excellent burekas. They have 4 types. For me I like the most the Cheese and Spinach and Cheese. The size of the burekas is big and the sides are hard boiled egg and pickles. Couldn't even eat it all and took some for later. Highly recommended.

Absolutely unreal!! Highly recommend this as a delicious and fresh meal. The kindest people and the most scrumpy Turkish inspired comfort meal you can find.

this place for someone like me who grew up on burekas is the holy grail !!! its exactly like the burekas i used to eat as a kid the size is very generous ! and the owner was so kind to give us dessert on the house i highly recommend this place for breakfast \ lunch you will not come out hungry p.s another bonus to this place that its kosher !
