The 20 Best Bakeries In Paris 2024

"It’s rare to find babka in traditional French boulangeries, which is what makes both of Babka Zana’s two locations so special. Not only do they offer individual babkas rolls (rather than slices of loaves), but they also come in a variety of flavors beyond traditional chocolate, such as halvah, cinnamon, pistachio, and more. At lunchtime, they also sell readymade challah sandwiches with fillings like pastrami, tuna, or sabich. " - sara lieberman, emily monaco

While many tourists regimentally line up at another bakery down the road, I just wish they would be a little more exploratory as I was when I chanced upon Babka Zana. Not only was I surprised by the find, but overwhelmed by the choice. Fabulous babka and other patisserie. Utterly delicious! No queues, simple service, simple benches outside to sit on.

Came right at open. Shop was quiet and the woman who was working was very sweet to me as the first customer. Got a classic babka and it truly was one of my favorite pastries in Paris. This location is nestled away on a quiet street, highly recommend coming here in the morning at open! Hope to visit again in the near future.

Loved the Reuben Sandwich with Challah bread that added the Levantine touch. Sourdough brioche with pistachios & orange blossom is a must try as well.

I’ve always wanted to try them so when I found them in Galeries Lafayette, I got 3 different kind: Pumpkin, Pistachio, and The classic cinnamon one. They were all underwhelming to say the least. I couldn’t taste pumpkin at all and it was just brioche. The same as the pistachio one. Even with the cinnamon one, I could barely taste the cinnamon. 4,50€ for this is too expensive.

I love this place and keep coming back: babkas are always fresh (cinnamon one is the best!), there is a nice variety of flavours and the staff is friendly. I would love it if they expanded a bit the savoury offering but I understand that it is not what they focus on. Please don’t change!

I am OBSESSED with babka zana. I always come for their freshly hot chocolate hazelnut babkas but never tried lunch until today. Their sandwiches are pretty expensive but the bread is so fresh and both the chicken and tuna sandwiches are so tasty!

Yelp
I stumbled upon Babka Zana while looking for a pastry to munch on in the late morning on Bastille Day. While many establishments were closed due to the holiday, this one was not, and goodness am I so thankful it wasn't. I had the babka roll chocolat noisette, and it was one of the most delectable pastries I've ever had. Like any good Boulangerie, the woman behind the counter was warm and inviting. I'm excited to recommend this place to fellow pastry lovers, and I am just itching to come back!

Yelp
Was sent here by a friend who insisted we visit. They were right. DELICIOUS! At least 6 or 8 different babka type rolls, sandwiches and salads. Wonderful cappuccino and great atmosphere with personal service. It was great, different and not to be missed.

Yelp
Not a traditional Parisian bakery, but it's everything I wanted in a pastry & more!! TLDR: Warm & sweet babkas - perfect for a quick breakfast before exploring the city of Paris! Randomly stumbled upon this place on Instagram and decided to try it out on my last morning in Paris. I really wish I discovered this earlier! As soon as we walked into the bakery, the smells of all of the babkas and pastries invited us in. There were so many different babka flavors!! I HIGHLY recommend trying out the pistachio babka!! It was soo soft and had the right amount of pistachios. The babka was warm in the center and they were so satisfying! I really wish I tried the other bakery items! Their other breads looked amazing! Def worth checking out if you're in the area :)

Yelp
We just happened to walk in to try the pastries. Best sausage roll and babka. Excellent. My husband still talks about how good it was. Absolute a must try when in Paris!

Yelp
Great food--delicious pastries and savory sandwiches, great coffee, excellent service, clean/attractive ambiance. Only a few steps from Place des Voges.
