The high quality, American fast food style, Thai food fusions are inspired and phenomenal. The three sisters (owners) and staff are superb. The atmosphere is elevated to a five by adding some personalized color and flare (vintage toy bots bring cheer to an already delicious meal) to their central location in Dekalb Market Hall. Mmmmm to the Fried Chicken Bun (shown in pic) and Fried Fish Bun. I'm excited about their other offerings for when I go next time.

I did take out and ordered the chicken bucket! The portions are super generous and well worth the money:) The chicken was incredibly crispy, delicious and the rice was also very flavorful! I highly recommend and the employees were also super sweet!!

The most AMAZING mushroom burger I’ve ever had. And this is really saying something because I am OBSESSED with the shroom burger from Shake Shack (still amazing tbh). But the flavor here is unmatched. And the shroom is HUGE and crunchy. Definitely recommend opting to pay the extra $1 for the larger bun size. Also the service was great - the cashier Ting went out of her way to help!! Will be back again and again.

Wow!!!! Saw a video on TikTok of how they came to be. AMAZING!!!! I got the baby bucket, 18$ is steep but totally worth it. Pork was tender and sweet, melt in your mouth. Good size, filling! Fries with the spice on top were very fresh, reminded me of five guys. We also got the pork bun and fish bun. Both were very tasty but the best thing is the bucket. Everyone this is a must see spot!!!!

This place is excellent! One of the best fish sliders I’ve ever had honestly. The garlic mayo and sweet chili sauce was great! I added them to both my slider and dipped the fries in them. I wish I had skipped over the other booths and came straight here. The only one of 3 others I tried in the hall that did not disappoint.

Perfectly Fried Fish! I had their chicken and their fish bowl. The Fish one is the best, I ate it without sauces although it does have a sauce on the side. In this dining hall, their seating area easily has some of the cutest spots and most personality. The woman at the counter was nice and I got my food fresh and quickly. I recommend it!

Came here before catching a show at the Brooklyn Paramount, and was blown away by how delicious and filling the fried chicken and friend fish buns were. The first thing we noticed were how fresh they were - service was helpful and we watched our orders being made after we ordered (vs just reheating already made sandos). Then once we got the sandos - it made us laugh how small the buns were compared to the giant slabs of fish and chicken! Both were cooked perfectly and perfectly paired with the accompanyaments (the spicy papaya slaw on the chicken was divine). It is also conveniently located in DeKalb Market, so there is bound to be something that could satisfy each of your companions tastes if they mistakenly choose to pass this up. While they do have some reserved seating, it also means you can find somewhere to sit within the food hall. Will be back again!

Delicious food, large portions, friendly service. It's located in the Dekalb Market hall so table service is not the setting but the staff at the counter is helpful in explaining the different dishes and offering suggestions based on your taste. There are a few seats next to the shop with reservation signs specifically for Baby's Buns customers. As for the food here- it's well orchestrated and you can tell made with love. Flavors abound and quality is fresh. Chicken Sandwiches, Chicken with Rice and veggies bucket , pork and vegetarian (mushroom) options available. I had the honey pork with sticky rice ,so flavorful. The pork was slightly sweet and was more of a leaner pork belly - so damn good. We also tried the fried chicken with fatty rice. Seasoned and fried to perfection. Definitely get the Papaya SlawailI bought extra to go and ate all of before I even left. The food here is like home cooked Thai food that my friends grangrandparents used to make when I had playdates at their house. Comforting. The chicken is also Halal if you're seeking that. The food hall is quite noisy ,as it is in a basement but the atmosphere is cheerful . Depending on the time of day it can get quite crowded. Ordering ahead is available. When I checked in on Yelp I got an offer for a free drink.

First of all, I want to say how surprised I was seeing how this place is Halal, which I think is the one place in Dekalb market that provides such option. I had the 6 pieces chicken nuggets with spicy fries, and the outcome was amazing. The nuggets were big in shape, very filling and juicy; every bite was tasty. The fries had a great spice kick to it and were soft. However, ONE thing that need IMRPOVEMENT is the serving style. Being served with 2 brown bags like this, isnt a good representation of the place. At least have a box style like other competitors or something else.

I took a trip to the Dekalb Market Hall strictly for Baby's Buns & Buckets after seeing a few videos circling social media & I was pleasantly surprised that it lived up to the rave reviews! Specializing in bao buns and yes, food that comes in buckets, I knew I had to get a bucket for the fatty garlic rice. The rice was immensely flavorful, and for someone who doesn't *love* white rice, I finished every grain of this garlicky, salty goodness. It perfectly complimented the fish & salad that came with the bowl, providing a nice contrast to the plain leafy greens. The fish was crispy and perfectly seasoned, reminding me of dishes my family has made in the past. What I love about this stall is that it isn't your typical Thai cuisine that most people know and love, there's a lot of aspects of it that are very similar to home cooked meals that restaurants don't typically serve (with an Americanized spin). You won't find your traditional pad thai here, and I love that every layer of the bucket has flavor. Combine great food with a great atmosphere (hello, the neon lights are beautiful!!) and you have Baby's Buns & Buckets. I cannot wait to try the rest of the menu, and can't wait for others to discover this hidden gem amongst the chaos of downtown Brooklyn!

Baby's Buns serves tasty, Thai inspired street food. The sliders are filled with juicy meat and served with fluffy buns. The coleslaw on the chicken slider was seasoned perfectly, neither too sweet nor to tart. The fried mushrooms are a great alternative as side to traditional fries, though they were a little too juicy inside for my taste. Service was on time for my online order, and the takeout box was perfect for transporting the buns and limiting mess in the busy dining area of the food court.

Dekalb Market Hall is a bit of a labyrinth, with so many great options packed into a few aisles. When they first opened I really fell in love with the place and wondered why I would bother with traditional restaurant set ups in the first place. While I'm a bit over food halls these days, Baby's Buns and Buckets does punch above their weight class, serving up buckets of joy in a city where a meal like this often comes with a heftier price tag. The menu is quite straightforward. The food actually does come in buckets, offered with different proteins. Anything from honey pork to fried chicken thigh, fried fish, and fried mushrooms. I love the fried fish option, which is better than any fish and chips I can get. Each bucket comes with sides like shredded cabbage, crispy or pickled onions, and mixed greens, but the real highlight for me is the fatty chicken broth rice. It's just the perfect foundation for the tower of deliciousness piled on top. You can get a complete meal for about $18, which is not bad for lunch in Downtown Brooklyn in 2024. This is just a stand in a food hall, so there isn't much in the way of seating except for a little perch with some stools at the stall, but you can find picnic benches elsewhere in the food hall area. It's pretty easy to find seating for a small group if you're with a couple of friends. This place is proof that some of the best meals come in buckets, and not necessarily on white tablecloths.

I really enjoyed how cute and kitschy this stall is. I ordered the chicken nugget bucket. It came with steamed rice, cabbage carrots and greens. It was enough for two servicing Quite tasty and sauce wasn't very needed I actually really liked the flavor of the rice more than the chicken. I want to come back for the fried fish sandwich. Service is pretty great but not over the top. The cashier takes your order and patrons just wait until it's ready There is seating for up to three people at the stall.

Wowowow Baby's Buns has to take the top spot for best food stall in Dekalb Market. The food and service are equally excellent and I just love their story. Another viral business that deserves all the hype! My husband and I visited for dinner a couple of weeks ago and shared: - Baby's Bucket ($18) - probably my favorite dish of the night and a generous portion size for sure - Small chicken nuggets ($6) - Small fish nuggets ($6) - Fried chicken bun ($8) - Large papaya slaw ($12) - loved this fusion of papaya salad and cole slaw. Such a tasty and refreshing side Now I'm not sure if we were getting full or what, but the "small" sized nuggets felt like they had way more than 6 pcs in each order! (We didn't keep count as we were eating - if they threw some extras for us wow thank you we love you) The portions just felt huge and everything was so good. Loved both the chicken and fish - can't even choose one over the other. And of course the grilled honey pork in Baby's Bucket was mouth wateringly delicious. One of the owners took our order and she was so helpful and friendly. We can't wait to return.

BABY'S GOT BUNS!!! And they are tasty. Went to the Dekalb Market Hall and out of all the options there, Baby's was the only one offering free samples WITH sauce. So we grabbed a bite and it had us hooked. The chicken was tender and flavorful, the fries with their spicy seasoning were perfection. The chicken rice bowl sealed the deal. Thank you to our cashier who kindly took our order and prepared our samples. I'm so glad we gave Baby's a try. It was worth it.

My latest food obsessions include their fish nuggets and garlic chili sauce & their spicy Thai fries with garlic mayo. Chef's kiss. The fatty rice was ok but the Thai fries are really THE MOVE.

Food was good and service was okay, we ordered and checked-in on yelp and saw they had a free soda when checking in. Inquired about it and was informed we had to do it at the time of the order? It's a can of soda, costs the business less than a dollar lol. We ordered the fried chicken bun and grilled honey pork bun, both were good. The thai spicy fries had no flavor but crispy. The fish bucket was very good, flavorful rice and loved the pickled onions to cut through the richness from the deep fried fish. Didn't like the sweet & spicy? sauce that came with the order.

Last week eating my Doner platter (which was delicious btw) I saw a lady eating a fried chicken bucket from Baby's Buns & Buckets and was immediately envious. It just looked so good... Fast forward to this weekend we got the chicken nugget and fries bucket and the grilled honey pork bucket. The chicken nuggets are out of this world. They're THIGH meat which is an immediate win being dark meat. They are also huge, I would consider each one about 1/3 of a thigh, or 3-4x the size/weight of a mcnugget. So juicy and flavorful. The breading was top notch, so crispy and crunchy and not heavy. You know when you get fried food and halfway through you're kind of over it but just pushing to finish? Not this one - the 10th nugget was as good as the first. The thai chili dipping sauce is a perfect complement to the nuggets. I asked for the fries extra crispy and they delivered. Scorching hot and very crispy. Wife's grilled pork bucket was also very flavorful and huge. She didn't finish it (but she was also eating some of my nuggets) I would put this fried chicken in the top 5 fried chickens I have eaten this year. And I eat a lot of fried food just ask my doctor.

I found myself wandering dekalb market looking for the best option for a quick dinner (there are soo many good choices!!) & after checking the reviews for this place I gave it a try. And boy am I happy I did! I started with the fried shroom bun which was the perfect size for an appetizer. The mushroom was perfectly crispy and it packed a great flavor. My only criticism is that the sauce was suuuper salty which sort of overpowered the taste of the mushroom. I then got the fish bucket which is really big and could probably feed two but i ate it all myself lol I was happy to be able to change the "fatty garlic rice" which is cooked in chicken broth to regular white rice at no extra cost. The fish was fried crispy and moist. The sides all complimented each other really well & the SAUCE was a game changer!! So so good!! Everything took about 15 min to be ready on a busy Friday evening & the staff working were all super nice. Will definitely be back!!

One of the more unique options in Dekalb Market Hall, Baby's Buns & Buckets has a creative selection of snack-sized sandwiches that'll fill you up without slowing you down for the rest of the market. The simple fried fish bun was ultra crispy with a nice amount of sweet-spicy kick. The grilled honey pork bun comes loaded with fantastically tender strips of pork; their rice bowls looks awesome, too. Will definitely be picking up the shroom bun next time.

Came here on a Thursday around 5:30 and it wasn't too busy yet. I've been wanting to check this out since I got an email from Dekalb Market Hall for new openings and it didn't disappoint! I ordered the Grilled Honey Pork bun on a dinner roll (for an extra dollar) and some spicy fries which came out to about $16. Food arrived pretty quickly - was quoted 10-15 minutes and came out closer to 10 minutes. Food was delicious. The bun was huge for such a small bun and messy to eat but was packed with flavors. The grilled honey pork was pieces of sweet and savory thin pork (think jerky) with the fixins. Honestly I can just eat a whole bucket of the pork. The fries were delicious as well, light and crispy on the outside and potato-ey on the inside. The "spicy" powder was interesting because I had bites where it just tasted sweet and some bites that were just spicy. All in all, I'd come back and order this same thing again!

I am in love with the sticky rice. The portions are enormous (like double dinner) and the pork is so smoky and flavorful--it tastes exactly like LA galbi. It is, however, a little expensive ($18) and since it's located in DeKalb Market, it doesn't have its own seating arrangements.

Prior to this restaurant, the only time I've seen the word baby in front of food was for Baby Back Ribs, and for a meal like that, it is finger licking good. Now you have Baby's Buns and Buckets or triple B, that's also finger licking good! A great addition to the Dekalb market place and the food is Rich in flavour. I just wish I don't get a heart attack. We had: 1) Baby's Bucket: the Pork original with salad greens on the side 2) the classic chicken bucket: crispy and on point! What makes Baby's great and interesting is their usage of rice. Their rice is looked in fatty oils (most likely chicken fat) which enhances the richness and flavour profile of their meal. It is a similar technique to the Hainanese Chicken Rice. This method plus the perfect execution of the proteins on plate is unmatched. It is clever and it is a soul sucking happy meal. A must try if you are feeling up for it! (As of Sept '22, currently accepting 20% off for the Apple Pay day at dekalb, the day changes every month)

slays for a quick n easy meal... also cute -- the orange colors and bubble font have me in a chokehold. the chicken was the best. the flavor was unique with dimension and also just plain fun to eat. pork was pretty good too. the veg one with the mushroom I couldn't eat though #rip but all in all would dine at the lil dive booth in the basement food court market again.

We got the classic chicken bucket and the fish bucket; both came with flavorful "fatty" rice (reminded me of chicken rice), mixed greens, and pickled greens. The portions are generous (~10ish pieces of protein per bucket) and everything was so tasty. The sauces that came on the side (sweet chili sauce for the chicken and garlic chili sauce for the fish) were a perfect pairing. Will definitely be repeat customers!

Amazing. I got the honey pork baby bun and there was so much delicious pork I now know why there's an option for a bigger bun. But honestly didn't need it because it's exactly what I wanted. Also got a side of the chicken nuggets, pretty good portion but I think the bun is better. They're almost like these chicken strip style nuggets but eh the sauce was good and they were crispy. Pretty fast to get the order, like under ten minutes.

I ordered the classic bucket, the fried chicken was freshly fried and it was crispy and moist. It got good flavored. I also had their fried mushroom sandwich & the fried fish sandwich before. They both are good, I love how the mushroom was fried and the taste of it. You can't go wrong with what you order there. Everything is fresh and taste good. I am a big fan of the place. Before coming here I saw the 5 star rating and definitely experienced 5 star food and service. Baby's buns and bucket left me speechless the cashier and cook were very friendly and informative on what to get and how things tasted. I went with the fried fish, fried chicken and honey grilled pork sliders. Don't be fooled by the size cause these baby's are packed with excellence on a cute baby bun. I loved every bite. The food was so fresh, flavorful and mouth watering. I'm drooling just writing about it. Are I was done I had to go back and give my compliments to the chef and business... great job and thank you I'll be back.

Amazingly crispy fried chicken on a bun or as a rice bowl. The rice tastes like Hainan chicken rice. Served in a bucket with pickled veggies. Very fresh and clearly a great addition to Dekalb Market.

I think this place might be new because I don't remember seeing it around before! At first I thought the portions were pretty small but they actually packed a surprising amount of meat in there lol. I tried the honey pork and the fried chicken buns. The chicken one was good but I especially recommend the honey pork one! Definitely one of my favorite places at Dekalb Market right now!

Baby's Buns and Bucket might be my new favorite at Dekalb Market Hall food court. They specialize in modest sandwiches and larger buckets of fried treats, with an Asian twist and plenty of veggies to balance out the crunch. Today I had the fish bucket, which is 2 cups of fried fish bites at the top of the bucket, with garlic sticky rice, cabbage slaw, mixed greens, sweet pickled onions at the bottom of the bucket. It also came with a sweet onion relish. It's a large portion, for a large lunch or split in half with a friend. The fish was flaky and fresh, the sticky rice was amaaaaaaaaazing. Service was friendly, helpful, and fast. Order was made fresh in 10 minutes. Plenty of seating in the hall, but remember to clean up after yourself. Can't wait to try the rest of the menu!

No doubt about a baby bun, the bun is smaller than a slider. It would have been nice if it was a chubby baby. I got a mushroom bun, and the mushroom was great, fried, crispy and full of flavor. The cashier was very friendly and was a happy soul. Great tasting sandwich!

This place is legit! The fish bucket is sooo large and tasty. The fried fish is simultaneously light, airy, and crispy. So fresh and not fishy at all. The rice and pickled onions and veggies are literally perfection. A perfect bowl in a bucket! The sliders are also delicious. I love how they don't skimp on the meat and lettuce. The pork and fried chicken were soo delicious. Pork was perfectly charred and fried chicken was super moist. FYI, Tuesdays are 20% dekalb market if you use apple pay! Service was great and their stall is really cute! I will be back!

It's good. I prefer their chicken and fish buns just because the pork is too sweet for me. The Thai spice fries has a good kick and there's a decent portion. The downsides was the garlic aioli didn't have much garlic flavor to it. Also the box that the buns are packed in are a bit of a pain in the butt to deal with. The food takes awhile but since they're made to order, the fish and chicken tasted fresh and juicy.

My favorite place in dekalb! I've tried their pork bucket, chicken bucket, and fish bucket - love them all! Price is a little high but totally worth it. This is silly but I wish their buckets (like the bowl itself the food comes in) was a bit shorter - the food only fills the bucket like half way so I'm not sure why they make the bucket so big but it's hard to dig down there with a fork

I was on the fence if I wanted to eat there but people around were raving about the food and it convinced me. I'm glad it did because it was the best sweet and savory pork I've ever had! We ordered the Grilled Honey Pork bun and it was soooo delicious!! The pork was so tender and sweet and the garlic mayo just elevated the pork to another level. The staff was so nice making sure everything was right for us! The customer service, just like the food, was on another level. If you're ever in the area, head to Baby's Buns and Buckets!

Let me begin with OMG!!!! I had the Baby Pork Bucket. The pork is outstanding, marinated to perfection. It is truly a large meal. Lots of pork, salad and rice. I am so full, but I'm only here for one more day. I'm ordering another bucket. Don't think I will be able to move, but it will be worth it. What a great addition to Dekalb Market Hall! I've tried a few things here already and have loved everything! Both the Fish Bucket and Fried Fish Bun are delicious as the fish is perfectly fried. I wish the garlic chili sauce was spicier but it is still very tasty. The buns are slider size but have a good amount of meat, especially the Grilled Honey Pork. The pork is flavorful and very well marinated. The Fried Chicken bun is also really good - the chicken thigh is moist and the papaya salad adds a nice brightness to the sandwich. The portions could be bigger here though, particularly the bucket. The sliders aren't too small considering the filling is quite generous for the size of the bun (they should just get bigger buns). The decor is very cute and fun. It definitely stands out and they even have their own cute seating booth on the side.

Amazing customer service, delicious food, and a cute little spot. We got the honey pork bun and the chicken bun. Both were fresh, tasty, and filling for a snack.

Baby's Buns & Buckets is beautifully delicious. I randomly went to their opening and I was able to try the pork and chicken. and fish buns. Each one has its own unique boost of flavor. They also have buckets, which basically bowls for a meal. I had the baby bucket, which taste great. Hopefully, they last a while in the market.

The food was delicious. I ordered the chicken and pork bucket. Does not disappoint. Just the right flavor and makes you crave for more. The staff is super friendly.

Totally delicious and fast Thai street food in Dekalb Market. I'll often split the Baby's Bucket, which is good-sized portion of grilled honey pork over sticky rice with a salad and garlic mayo dressing. The slight char on the grilled pork is incredibly satisfying when in the mood for that fresh bbq flavor.

This restaurant is by far the nastiest food I've had. I have food poisoning from their food. Bad quality food the food is not fresh at all . I ordered the pork bucket & the pork is smoked & it taste burnt & hard i do not recommend this place !! I've had constant diarrhea for 2 days now wouldn't want to wish this on nobody they need a better chef !!!!!
