I think some of my dreams must be coming true. Back five Bacari's ago, five of their now seven spectacular restaurants, I wished these brothers to take over more restaurants in Los Angeles, and, abracadabra! The newest one just opened last week in Beverly Hills and it is just as exceptional as the others.
Each Bacari is unique. Many of them are nestled amid thick foliage but this one has been planted right in the middle of the prettiest shopping street in Southern California, at the corner of Brighton Way and Camden. A bonus I had not expected is the presence of numerous perfume shops up and down Brighton -- perfumes being one of the latest crazes to take hold and I am so here for it!
The menu is the same as all the others, such a welcome feature when dining at Bacari. You know exactly what to expect and the quality and flavors are identical among the seven. Joy! The afternoon was sunny, cool, and breezy so the doors to this Normandy cottage style space were thrown open to let fresh air flow through the dining room and delicious aromas waft out onto Brighton, drawing in passersby. When we got there, with a reservation of course, the place was packed. It didn't take long for BH to discover the magic of Bacari.
You can see what we ordered in my pictures. Everything came out fresh, flawless, sparkling with perfection. Our servers, Yara and Lawrence, were the very symbol of professionalism and cheer. They took better care of us than we would do for ourselves. Thank you both.
And best of all -- and I really have to emphasize this -- there was two-dollar (yep, $2!!) parking steps away on Camden in a completely automated garage. We zipped in and out, so nothing could detract from an overall luxurious, delightful lunch. Oh, and by the way, the tab was beyond reasonable.
I don't know how they do it. Now I cannot decide which Bacari is my favorite. When I want to be immersed in retail therapy, I will head to this one and thank my lucky stars that I apparently wished it into existence, LOL. Goddess power!
