Bacari Sherman Oaks

This is the first time I have ever been to one of the Bacari locations. This one, in Sherman Oaks, is excellent. My daughter, Lauren, picked this restaurant. I was surprised, because Lauren usually picks out more expensive restaurants. Bacari is a tapas type restaurant. The prices are reasonable because the portions, and the plates, are small. They recommended ordering three plates per person. We ordered one plate for each of us and a Margarita pizza to share. The pizza was excellent. I had the Bacari burger. It was amazing. My wife had sea bass, and our daughter had a filet. We all enjoyed our meals. Service was prompt, friendly, and efficient. In this restaurant, they bring out each plate as it's ready. That encourages people to share and socialize. The restaurant was quite noisy inside. They have a nice little courtyard with outdoor seating. It was slightly less noisy in the outdoor courtyard. For people who want to lose weight and still have delicious meals, I recommend Bacari Sherman Oaks.

After multiple recommendations from friends, my husband and I celebrated our wedding anniversary here, and it lived up to every glowing review we'd been given. Plate sizes were ideal for sharing, but we quickly staked out our favorites (the burrata, pesto, and tomatoes for me, the pork belly for my husband!), imaginative and innovative cocktails (oh, the Love Letter.... So good!). And the desserts.... Double chocolate cake and "The Best Cake" (sticky toffee pudding as the Brits would know it), heavenly. Very attentive service, with plates cleared promptly but not invasively, and friendly wait staff all working together. We will definitely be back, because there's so many things on the menu we want to try, and I'm going to be dreaming of that pesto!

Zoza was the best! Don’t know how she could hear us but she did it!! Food was great! They did custom menus for my husbands 30th and there was even a live jazz band 10/10 experience will definitely come back!!!

If I could give Bacari more than 5 stars, I would. From the moment we walked in, it felt like we had been transported to a different country something about the warm lighting, the rustic yet elegant decor, and the energy of the space made it feel like an escape. But as incredible as the atmosphere was, the real magic came from the staff, and more specifically, Manuel. The food? Absolutely packed with flavor. Every single dish we tried was a masterpiece with care, but what really elevated our experience was the service. Manuel was hands down one of the best servers we’ve ever had. He wasn’t just attentive he made us feel like family. He had this genuine warmth that made us feel so welcome and taken care of, like we were dining in his own home. It’s rare to find someone who not only does their job well but also brings so much heart into it. He anticipated everything we needed before we even had to ask, and his kindness and energy truly made our night. Bacari is already a 10/10 in terms of food and ambiance, but having someone like Manuel there? That’s what makes it unforgettable. Can’t wait to come back!

Very good food and friendly staff. Everything is perfect, except they give more reservations than what they can handle. We showed up about 15 minutes early, but we were seated 30 minutes after our reservation time.

Bacari does a great job transporting you somewhere between Nice, Barcelona and Greece. The atmosphere and service are top notch and the food isn’t far behind. I’ll start with this, it’s worth a visit. We were greeted and seated early. We had to managers check in on us and bring us out drinks. Great latte by the way with proper foam 👌🏾. The two recommendations, lamb & hummus and chilaquiles and they did not disappoint. The lamb was packed with flavor and sitting atop delicious hummus served with warm pita. The chilaquiles had some of the best tortilla chips I’ve ever had. They were bathed in a pablano cream sauce that I’d kindly ask you to bury me in (and pro tip; ask for the smoked chipotle hot sauce, crazy delicious). I’d give these two dishes 5 ⭐️. The gem salad s was also perfection. Crab cake Benedict was good but the poached egg had a solid yolk. The French toast had a great vanilla custard but it didn’t penetrate the center of the toast which left it a little dry in the middle. I’ve said too much. The secret is out. Bacari is a winner with an awesome staff and a special atmosphere.

Guyssss if I could give them 6 stars I would. I went today for happy hour. The outside area is so cute but also a little cold during winter even with the heaters. I arrived to a mostly empty space at 5:30 but by 6:30 it was super packed. There is a middle outside patio area and two inside areas surrounding. I've been to almost all the Bacari locations but this might be my new favorite. I parked on the street but there is valet also. Not sure if it costs money. Now to the food, I always get the pork belly. It's my fav and never misses. Tried some new items this time: petite filet, beef cheek, street corn, and the grilled pita. The petite filet is my new go to. It was perfectly cooked and the bernaise sauce was flawless. Soooo delicious. 11/10. The grilled pita and street corn were both good with some spice, probably 8.5/10 for both. The pita fell apart a little and left some oil on the plate though. The beef cheek was very tender and also delicious probably a 8/10. As for drinks, we got mocktails. I got the visual soundscape and my boyfriend got the shadowboxer. Both were delicioussssss. Our server was Maya. She was super nice even though she had a LOTTTT of tables to take care of. Always checked and made sure we were taken care of. Christian the manager was also helping and was super nice.

If you’ve spent any time in Los Angeles, you’ve likely heard of Bacari—and for good reason. It continues to set the standard with its incredible food, inviting atmosphere, and above all, an exceptional team. Every visit promises a memorable experience. Casey was an absolute standout—attentive, funny, warm, and knowledgeable—and Lester has clearly mastered the art of hospitality at the Sherman Oaks location. Thank you, Bacari, for consistently delivering excellence.

We had an amazing first time, celebrating our 6 year anniversary all the food we order was delicious and the cocktails were great. Romona suggested a few plates and they were all a hit, Great service from her! Definitely going back!

Anthony was our waiter and this man went above and beyond for the dinner I had with my parents. Anthony was extremely attentive and friendly with a great upbeat attitude, we were lucky to be in his section. Make a reservation, don't expect to walk in. It's worth planning for. Every dish was unique and original. Pork belly was unlike anything I've ever had. Come here for a romantic date or special dinner.

Came here last night to treat my boyfriend for his birthday. Upon check-in, the host wished my boyfriend happy birthday which was sweet (I had made a note in the reservation that we were there for a birthday). We were seated outdoors per my reservation request and we loved the ambiance! The outdoor courtyard area was super romantic, with candles and string lights and hedges to separate us from Ventura Boulevard. It felt like a secret garden since it was tucked away and not visible from the street. Krystal was our main server, but she explained that the entire staff work as a team so anyone else could help us out. Krystal was wonderful! A few other staff members including Stephanie, one of the managers, asked how we were doing throughout our dinner and to check to see if we needed anything in an unobtrusive way. Krystal and the staff paced our dishes very well, and made sure to remove plates as they were done quickly since our table was so tiny. My BF got a couple of beers and I got the Waste Not, Want Not, which had a fun presentation with a slice of pineapple on the rim. I will definitely go back to drink that again, and to try one of their cocktails. For food we got the lamb hummus, pork belly, brussels sprouts, petite filet, and the Asian pear and brie pizza with bacon added. Everything was delicious and would eat again! The lamb hummus was my favorite, although I wish it came with a couple more pieces of pita to dip with. The petite filet was well-executed, though a touch more salty for my liking, but my BF was a fan. Since we were celebrating a birthday, Krystal offered us our choice of dessert on the house which was a very nice touch. We went with the Best Cake with ice cream. My BF, who loves sweets, said it tasted better than he expected. Overall, would definitely come back for date night or when loved ones come to visit. I read other reviews on Yelp that said the inside was loud (which is why I requested outdoor seating) but the courtyard was lovely and not loud at all which was perfect for us. Parking is valet only but you might get lucky with street parking on Ventura Boulevard, or park on Moorpark. Definitely make a reservation, since it was full even though it was a weeknight. Wanted to try Bacari for brunch and it did not disappoint! Super easy to get a reservation on a Saturday morning only a couple days ahead. Parking was relatively easy as well on a Saturday around 10am. Service was pretty quick & food was great. Only wish the portions were larger, but it's fun to try more dishes. Plenty of outdoor, shaded seating.

We had a lovely time at Bacari! The room in which we were sitting was beautiful (though it was too dark to see the menu and the table was a bit small for three) and Dullah was a friendly and helpful server. The live music later in the evening was a nice touch, too! The thing I like the most about Bacari is that the prices are reasonable enough for you to order many things for tasting; most of the drinks cost more than a plate of food (so maybe the drinks could come down a bit?). We tried and enjoyed the Lamb Hummus ($15.50), Scallop Medallions ($17.50), Petit Filet ($14.50), Stuffed Mushrooms ($14.50), the Bacon and Brie Pizza, which was surprisingly spicy ($15), and for dessert the Malabi, which was too rose-flavored for our tastes ($9) and the Bread Pudding (I'm not a huge bread pudding fan, but everyone else liked it ($9). I enjoyed the Olena Heat cocktail with mezcal instead of tequila ($16) but I felt the Espresso Yourself espresso martini was both too sweet and too pricey at $19. Decent selection of wine by the glass and Dullah was very helpful in allowing me to taste a couple before choosing. Valet parking makes it easy, but I would suggest a reservation, as it was pretty packed on Friday night.

Love the building and enjoyed the live music but most of all the great food, at a reasonable prices, and smaller portions so you could try a lot of things. My favorite was the stuffed mushrooms. Great flavor and the mushroom was prepared perfectly, not too firm or too mushy. The bacon and brie pizza was also amazing. Way more spicy than I thought it would be. The filet was tender and a perfect size for a reasonable price at only $14.50. Only thing I would skip is the Malabi dessert. I little too much rose flavor for my liking.

I recently moved to Sherman Oaks from Venice Beach after my condo purchase so continuing to explore the neighborhood is an adventure. Friday date night rolled around, and my date suggested Bacari. It's 4 mins driving from my condo and it's a GEM! What an amazing dining experience. The tapas style sharing is awesome, esp bc I'm onset non-stop and don't need massive size food plates in the submarine. We have fries, with the egg on top, kale salad, iced matcha lattes, and tacos! All super yummy! The ambiance is perfection. It's this elegant, art-filled, bucolic, musical masterpiece of a restaurant. The band was playing, the lights were low, and the ocean art is where my heart always is. The service, was excellent. Parking is valet, and the lot can get full. But the adjacent neighborhood of 2 million dollar homes, has a bevy of street parking. But advised the handful of elegant gates that adorn the front exterior are closed as the evening progresses, entrance only on the right-hand side. Thankful for a rustic, elegant, and yummy evening. Now that I have been properly introduced to Bacari, I'll be back!

Food was SO delicious !!! Ambiance is a VIBE, dimly lit, dried upside hanging flowers everywhere, candles all over and hanging plants vibes, super sexy. Sat at the bar, all the bar tenders were so attentive and friendly and helpful. Service was on point and didn't wait too long for anything. Had the burger, the fries, and sangria. Will absolutely be back, worth all the hype i heard about this place. Undoubtedly a Special spot !

First time trying Bacari, and it definitely didn't disappoint! We came for a birthday dinner with a party of six. The restaurant has both indoor and outdoor seating, and we were seated inside. It was a bit crowded, and since the space is tight, servers occasionally bumped into our chairs. The food overall was good, though a little on the salty side for my taste. We ordered the lamb hummus, grilled pita, octopus pizza, mac n' cheese, chipotle chicken wings, grilled chicken breast, and Bacari fries. For me, the dishes that stood out were the octopus pizza and Bacari fries. The pizza had a unique flavor -- slightly salty but delicious and something I hadn't tried before. And the Bacari fries? The sauce on them was out of this world! I need the recipe ASAP! The ambiance was lively, and despite the crowded space, the service was friendly and attentive. Bacari has a fun, vibrant atmosphere that would make it a great spot for casual gatherings or special occasions. I'll definitely be back to try more dishes -- though next time, I might ask for a little less salt!

Yummmmmm! KC like KC and the sunshine band was a great server! Attended to all of our needs. The food was so so good. I forget about this place and need to come back! My favorite go tos: Pork belly Mac n cheese Bread Pudding The table loved: The hummus trio Shrimp slaw Double chocolate cake Ice cream Pear pizza This place is one of my favorites. I have only been to the Silverlake location before. We came here post movie screening of a friends new movie "Between the temples" go see it! And get food at bacari after!

This place is an absolute vibe. I have been to their other locations and while the Silverlake location is gorgeous, this Sherman Oaks one is right on par. They have both indoor and outdoor seating and you can't go wrong with either. I made reservations prior and had no issues getting seated on time. The only downside is the terrible parking situation, you have to valet or find street parking. I shared three dishes with my friend and it was plenty. Noa's Cauliflower (5/5): Perfectly cooked cauliflower tossed in a delectable chipotle sauce. I was a fan of this. Ricotta and Beet Gnocchi (4/5): Itty bitty pieces of gnocchi coated in chimichurri and chevre. I enjoyed the flavors of this dish but I'd likely order another pasta next time. Asian Pear and Brie Pizza (5/5): Phenomenal. This was very much a dessert type of pizza. It had a guava fromage blanc which was sooo good. All of the sweet flavors worked together and was perfection. Bacari is one of those spots that you can never go wrong with. The menu has so many options to choose from and the prices are great especially if you are sharing everything with your table. Love love love.

Casey, Jose and the women that was shadowing Jose made the experience top notch! Casey started with a short personal conversation, took out order quick and then clocked out so he passed the table to Jose. Jose was on top it! He got the busy shift and was a rockstar! I honestly don't know how they did it in 95-degree weather. I was sweating just seated and they were running around. Had a rough start as we had a reservation at 4:30pm, got there at 4:35 and there was no hostess for over 10 minutes. I was worried we wouldn't get seated at they have a 15-minute policy. Then a random waiter came by and helped us get seated. The tables are very close together, but it didn't bother me much as it was fairly empty at the beginning and the filled up with people and sound making it still feel private. You can come here dress up or more on the casual side. Doesn't matter to much but if you do come early just know it will be toasty sitting outside! Drinks are always amazing! Food is so delicious. We typically start with two items as an appetizer to share (corn and burrata), then order an additional 3 items for the main. (petite filet, pizza, and mac and cheese. We didn't finish it all, but it was perfect for two people. And of course we finished with The Best Cake. I did take off one star as the wait for the table was very long since the hostess wasn't at the stand and the parking is horrendous. They do have a valet option but if you choose not to valet you only have street parking on a very busy street. Overall, 4/5 stars!

This location used to be home to Rive Gauche, Sherman Oaks' favorite French Cafe. For 28 years, RG was the local spot for upscale causal dining. There was no better patio in the valley, and no better place to enjoy oysters and mimosas. The owners retired in 2018 and the lot sat empty for five years. In 2023, Bacari has taken control of the location, and I must say, it appears as if they have breathed new life into this charming property. I have been here twice now and we have tried most of the menu. To start, they have excellent cocktail options: Royal Blood, Hot Dose, Bacarita and Olena Heat. All of these drinks are excellent. They also make a good gin martini and the wine list is not bad. As for the food , we've had, Rainbow Beet Salad - good Lamb hummus -good Shawarma Tacos - OK Fried Chicken Sliders - Very good Scallop Medallions - Very good Bacon & Double Cream Brie Pizza - Very good Overall everything is tasty and worth trying. For the most part, the service is friendly and helpful and they don't add any ridiculous fees to the bill. Bacari is doing a nice job in this location and I look forward to my next visit.

Loved this Bacari just as much as I love all their locations throughout LA. If you've never been, it's tapas-style Mediterranean & Italian food. You almost feel like you're walking into a cute Italian cottage at this location. Perfect place to bring a group and great for people who don't just want to settle on a single dish for dinner and are open to sharing. You're meant to order about 2-3 plates per person. They have everything from pizza to ceviche and sea bass. All of their menu items are delicious and well balanced. There's certainly something for everyone and they have vegan and vegetarian options. A few of my menu favorites: Noah's cauliflower (roasted caramelized cauliflower), shawarma tacos, Brussels sprouts (made with pomegranate molasses), fried chicken sliders, the Mediterranean street corn (trust me on this one). Their "bacarita" drink is delicious it's made with watermelon and just the right amount of jalapeño for an added kick. The service was good, wait staff was very friendly and the food came out pretty quick. Can't wait to come back again. Always a good dinner.

I don't know which location I love the most but I so far GDL, Silverlake & now Sherman Oaks are my favorites. Very cute location, the lights & dim setting outdoors makes it intimate. This restaurant never fails. Service is amazing. Food recs: stuffed mushrooms, cauliflower, pasta, filet, beet salad, mac n cheese, ceviche, chicken sliders, street corn, fries. Basically you can't go wrong with ordering everything is delicious! Go to drink is the strawberry frizz

I've been wanting to try this place for forever and it did not disappoint! Parking is either on the street which isn't easy or via valet (which I would suggest). Ambiance [5/5]: *The restaurant is massive! There is tons of outdoor seating and there are actually 2 indoor seating areas. While we waited to get seated, we sat at the bar that you see straight ahead after you check in. The acoustics inside where we sat was a little loud, therefore it was best to sit outdoors since my MIL is hard of hearing. Staff [5/5]: They were attentive, super friendly and overall wonderful! Food/Drinks [5/5]: *Drinks are not cheap! I ended up getting an 8 oz. of Rose (4 oz. was $15) and it was around $25 give or take. My husband ordered a whiskey neat and the pour was decent, but it cost the same as my wine. *The food was amazing, cheap and tapas style! I think in order to offset the cost of the food, that's why the drinks are a little pricey. *Lettuce cups with poached shrimp & calamari, carrot slaw, yuzu aioli, breakfast radish, scallion, urfa pepper (GFP) $13.5: The cups weren't bad, however not my favorite of the dishes I tried. *Lamb hummus braised ground lamb, spiced lebanese stew, crudites, pita (GFP) $15.5: Love this dish! The lamb was perfectly seasoned! I never liked Hummus so much! *Shrimp ceviche fennel aguachile, heirloom cherry tomato, cucumber, za'atar, sumac, lime chili chips** (GFP) $14.5: This was a very light and summery dish! *Crab cake benedict breaded claw meat, grapefruit hollandaise, sous vide egg $12.5: Loved the crab cake, it was cooked perfectly. The cake was easily shared among 4 of us, each having the perfect couple of bites. However, I do wish the egg was cooked a little less for my liking. *Double chocolate cake chocolate pudding, hazelnut brittle** (GFP)(VP) $10: Our waiter was very kind to give us the dessert for free as it was my husband's Uncle's birthday. The cake was delicious and not overly sweet! Overall, I am a fan and will be back! However, I think I might try one of the other locations just for change of scenery.

We love this place! We have gone frequently since it first opened and even introduced our loved ones to this amazing experience! When we go, we usually make reservations and park nearby. Since our first time, we have tried just about all the drinks on the menu and had almost all of the various food selections as well. It is a must to try out every dish and drink eventually! We have had so many that it would take awhile to describe each one, but on the first visit, we really enjoyed the Bacarita, a drink consisting of tequila, watermelon, jalapeño, basil, and lime, and the Espress Yourself, which had vodka, coffee liqueur, condensed milk, cold brew, and nutmeg! The ricotta and beet gnocchi was fantastic along with the Asian pear and brie pizza! We would recommend getting the shawarma tacos, brussels sprouts, and scallop medallions also! There are two areas that we have been in so far. One is where there is comfortable seating, a bar, and a place where musicians come in to jam. Each performance we have seen has been magical and it has been so cool to see the other guests vibing to these sets. The other area gives you a view of what is outside and is more spacious with additional light. Each table we have been at has been wonderful and the service has truly been incredible. We have enjoyed every visit! To everyone at Bacari, keep it up!

Great place to catch up with friends or even a date night. This place gets packed at night and I can see why. The ambiance and food was good. The portions here are small as it is tapas style but it was all delicious. Their bread pudding was amazing. I also really enjoyed the burrata caprese! There is parking but it is valet only so I parked on the street. There was lots of spaces on the street so that was a good thing..

After dining here a couple more times, I think I ordered alllllll wrong the first time and had to circle back with an updated review. I'd recommend making a reservation before coming. Even with a reservation, expect to wait a bit before being able to snag a table. It gets quite busy here, good for them! Drinks are good, not too strong but delicious and reasonably priced... ish. The watermelon cocktail is the must-get here, clearly. I was a fan of the underpaid and overworked drink, though I'd need to double check it's not actually titled the overpaid and underworked drink! After sitting inside and outside, I much prefer the inside option... and preferably the area by the bar. Expect lots of couples and big groups. As far as parking goes, you'll find a valet on-site and street metered parking on Ventura Blvd. Parking can be a bit of a pain during peak hours.

I was visiting LA for the weeeknd, and had brunch on Saturday morning with an old friend at Bacari Sherman Oaks. I entered a narrow corridor up some stairs into a bright dining space with a lot of windows facing Ventura Blvd. The first dish was a Lamb Hummus, which was oily in a good way. Lots of flavor in the oil from the lamb which was balanced with the cucumber, celery and carrot sticks hanging off the side of the bowl. The waiter took my drink order and recommended the Permanent Vacation, a cocktail topped with a bruleed slice of pineapple. We also also ordered the Little Gem Salad and Chickpea Hash. The salad was full of flavor from the shredded cheese, ground pistachio dust and olives. Chickpea Hash didn't have the crispy edges you normally get with a hash, which my culinary friend told me wasn't what he experienced the last time he had it. But the flavor was a nice creamy and tangy sensation. We got there at 10:45am for our reservation, so it was fairly quiet and about half full. By the time we left, it was getting difficult to hear what my friend was saying, and he also couldn't quite hear me. If you want to have a nice conversation, I'd advise you to arrive close to opening as this place gets packed.

I had only been to the Silverlake location and enjoyed it. When I saw there was opening on my side of town, I was very excited. It has like a small cafe vibe especially since it is sucked away in a center that also has that same vibe. My friend and I shared a few things: -Tripoline Pasta (handmade, pasilla pepper cream, romesco, toasted almond, cilantro) -Bacari Burger (open faced, grass-fed beef, fresh tomato, caramelized onion, worcestershire aioli, telera roll, fried egg) -Brussels Sprouts (caramelized, pomegranate molasses, creme fraiche, red beet) -Stuffed Mushroom (five cheese blend, toasted pecan, basil walnut pesto, parmesan, parsley) -Double Chocolate Cake (chocolate pudding, hazelnut brittle) -Jim's Cup (cucumber, strawberry, mint, ginger ale) -Golden Pressed Juice (golden orange, pineapple, ginger, mint) Everything was very tasty but just like the other location, for the size of the portions, way too expensive. It cost over $100 between the two of us and that is quite a bit out of my price range. I did it, but only again if someone is paying for it all. *Parking is a pain as they only have valet on the side but if you find parking in the residential or at Ralphs, you are good.

Been to the location in Glendale. Tried some new items here and they did not disappoint. The server angel was great! Super polite and on top of everything. Food was good and she even sung happy birthday to a friend who was celebrating his birthday. Parking can be tough in the area but there is plenty of side street parking (read signs) and they have valet as well.

1st time here and I made it most in time for happy hour! Bacari is a tapas style restaurant which is perfect because I wanted to try so many dishes. It's so much fun to try the different Mediterranean style dishes. My favorite by far was the stuffed mushrooms! 4 on a plate and perfect to share but I could have eaten them all on my own. The ambiance and decor here were so pretty. They have a patio with heaters which was beautiful. It Is recommended to make reservations here and we did it on Open Table. The process was super easy! They have cocktails, beer, wine, and mock tails.

Went here on a busy Friday night with a reservation. I was warmly greeted by the server, who helped give me some recommendations. Their menu is huge and based around small plates. So it's good to bring a friend or special someone to try a bunch of stuff. Ambiance and decor were amazing, it didn't feel like I was on Ventura boulevard. Almost felt like I was transported into a cozy estate in the mountains. I ordered two glasses of red wines, both from Italy (can't remember their names), but were both solid! I ordered grilled chicken breast, bacari fries, and triploine pasta. They were all great, but the pasta was the highlight. The savory sauce and almonds really made it delicious. I also saved just enough room for bread pudding, which really hit the spot. They have several locations and this was the first one I went to. I would definitely go back here or try out any of the other locations! Only issue is the parking, but that's expected in this area. Valet is an option in their tiny parking lot, but you likely will have to park on the street or a bit further down. Pay attention to the parking signs!

Finally got to a Bacari--this one in Sherman Oaks. Kudos to the restaurant for its inclusive menu that will please the pickiest eaters. In addition to a hefty gluten-friendly selection, there are dairy-free, nut-free, vegan, egg-free--even garlic-free--options. If you don't have dietary restrictions, the challah French toast (soaked in batter overnight) is a must. The thick slice features a crispy exterior and custardy interior that's reminiscent of the crave-worthy French toast at the long shuttered Royal Canadian Pancake House (a popular SoHo, NYC breakfast spot in the 90s). Anyone remember that? Royal Canadian soaked an entire challah in cinnamon batter and delivered the whole toasted loaf to the table on a platter. Back to Bacari, it's an LA institution with 6 locations scattered around the city, many with glorious leafy green outdoor spaces that are perfect for brunch or a romantic dinner. Highly recommended. .

Even though I live in the valley, I hadn't yet visited Bacari, and I'm so glad I finally did. The dinner I had with my friend was nothing short of exceptional. The restaurant is stunning, and I love how they preserved the charm of the previous establishment, which holds fond memories for me. The ambiance is warm and inviting, with a delightful European flair that instantly transports you. While we chose to sit in the dining room away from the live music, it was lovely to hear its soft hum in the background, making me feel as though I was in Paris or Barcelona. The food was simply divine--every dish impressed me with its flavors and presentation. The service was impeccable, striking the perfect balance between attentiveness and giving us the space to enjoy our conversation. The staff had a remarkable ability to read the room, knowing when to offer attention and when to let the evening flow naturally. The whole experience was a seamless dance of delicious food and wonderful energy. The wine list was diverse and intriguing, adding an extra layer of enjoyment to the meal. From the gracious hostesses to the cheerful valet attendants, every member of the team was courteous, friendly, and welcoming. Their hospitality stood out, making the experience feel special even without a Michelin star. The fact that they all took the time to say goodbye with a smile was the perfect finishing touch. Bravo, Bacari! I'll definitely be back soon.

They have indoor and outdoor seating- we sat outside with their heaters and cute outdoor lights and flowers. The burrata caprese and stuffed mushrooms are small shareable starters. Love the pizzas, they have thin crispy crusts. The Asian pear & Brie was my favorite, I could have ordered two! Waitress was attentive and service was quick. Parking- they have valet or street parking.

Date night at Bacari - Our first time there. The atmosphere was fantastic with a great outdoor seating area protected from the elements of Ventura Blvd...and the inside seating areas were intimate and comfortable. It was crowded when we were there on a Thursday night with people waiting for seats and we were lucky enough to have a reservation so we didn't have to wait. Overall the service was super friendly and we loved the atmosphere. But the food and drinks we got weren't bad but didn't quite live up to the ambiance and crowd. My wife started with a Cabernet and they were nice enough to bring her a sampling of three wines so she could pick the one she wanted. I had the "Overpaid & Underworked" cocktail...this was really beautiful with an eggwhite foam on top, topped with dried blueberries. It was mixed well as by the end of it I was really feeling it, but with bourbon listed as the first ingredient, it didn't taste like a bourbon drink. I don't mind a sweet drink, but if bourbon is up first in the list...make sure I know it's there when I'm drinking it. There was LOTS to choose from for vegetarians. We weren't blown away by any of the three choices we made, but we'd try it again and get completely different things. Our server was nice enough, upon discovering we were vegetarian, to tell us they could do their shawarma tacos with mushrooms instead of shawarma. So we got that. It was okay. The prominent flavor was the cabbage and beet slaw without the mushrooms or tahini being much of a presence. (It comes with 3 but they have "4" as an option in case there are an even number of you dining and you like things to be fair.) We also had the grilled asparagus...this dish kind of looked like a mess...the asparagus felt overcooked, but tasted okay with the romesco sauce and parmesan. Our third dish was the rainbow beets. This looked lovely but the beets didn't have that much flavor and the whipped chevre it sat on (and overall flavor) was definitely overpowered by the grey salt...for the most part in this dish we just tasted the salt. So foodwise it was serviceable...we weren't hungry when we left, but we were left wanting more in terms of taste and presentation. As I mentioned there is a lot to choose from on the menu for vegetarians and we'd happily come back to experience the atmosphere and maybe try other dishes including some of their pizzas.

Big fan of Bacari. Love that they moved to my neighborhood! Delicious food and the service is always friendly and welcoming. Major shout out to Shani who made delicious drinks that also looked gorgeous! Looking forward to becoming a regular at this location.

Sat in their outdoor patio, which had a very cozy, backyard feeling. The restaurant was very busy but it didn't feel overcrowded or loud. The service was great. Everyone was very friendly and nice. Our table was a small 2-seater table and it was tucked in a corner with little space so getting in and out was really difficult and we had to keep combining dishes every time food came out because we couldn't fit all the plates on our table. I wished they gave us a proper size table for three (we did have a reservation). Drinks: I'm not a cocktail drinker but I really liked the Royal Blood, which was super fruity and refreshing. I would definitely order this again next time. All the cocktails were instaworthy. Bacari beer was alright. Foods: My favorite was the shrimp ceviche, which came with thick, crispy tortilla chips. Salatim was very interesting, in a good way. Bacari fries were just like poutine and went well with the fried egg. Pork belly was very flavorful but it was mostly fat and the portion size was too small. The Best Cake that's made of mejool date was a good finish to the meal. Mac & cheese, stuffed mushrooms and the smoked mushroom pizza were just okay.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Bacari Sherman Oaks, and my experience was nothing short of exceptional, truly a delightful experience from start to finish. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with genuine warmth and hospitality that instantly made us feel welcomed, and set the tone for a fantastic dining experience. The ambiance of the restaurant is cozy and inviting, perfect for a casual meal with friends or a romantic dinner. The was food delicious! Every dish we tried was bursting with flavor and expertly prepared. All of the staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, making sure our needs were met throughout the entire evening, but the staff that stood out to us the most was the manager who initially took our orders (sorry, I don't recall her name), followed by our server, Casey who went above and beyond to ensure that we had a memorable dining experience. Despite being busy, he managed to attend to our needs promptly without ever making us feel rushed. His professionalism and ability to multitask while maintaining a high level of service were truly commendable. Overall, Bacari Sherman Oaks exceeded my expectations in every way. I will definitely be returning soon to enjoy more of their delectable offerings. If you're looking for a memorable dining experience in Sherman Oaks, this is the place to go!

Bacari has many locations for a reason... high food quality, the atmosphere is chic, and the service is good. The Sherman Oaks location is a blessing for us, Valley people. This restaurant has a tapas-style situation. So expect to order many small plates (each entree/tapa costs between ~$12 to~$17.5 bucks). The portion you receive will be small, but it will be enough to make a whole meal if you order several plates. Below I attached some photos of what we ate, but I forgot to take pictures of each plate that was ordered (we had pizza too). If you're looking for a restaurant with food presentation, you will find that here. See attached. The cons of this Barcari location are that you will likely need to pay for parking and/or circle around for parking if you come on a busy night. Additionally, some may be put off by the fact that you may spend about $30-$50 per person for dinner (it depends if you order drinks). For me, the meal and experience was worth the cons (just plan ahead for the parking and be ready to pay just a little more than your average dinner meal in Los Angeles). All in all, I will return!

Second time here at this location! Been to the one in Silverlake since we live closer to Sherman Oaks. Service is fantastic! Second time getting Anthony and he's so nice & personable! Food was delicious! Had the gluten-free margherita pizza, Asian pear & Brie pizza, little gem salad, Mediterranean street corn, Sea bass, Noa's cauliflower, and the gluten-free double chocolate cake for dessert!! Our friends we went with tonight our gluten-free and it was nice to see so many great options for them! Everything was so fresh & flavorful! Can't wait to go back and try different things on the menu.

This place is one of my favorite places. Usually I go to the one in Silver lake but I just find this one less crowded, not too noisy and food arrive quicker The drink made by Rayder was PERFECT!!!

TLDR: 4/5 - Nice ambiance, decent service and tasty small plates if you're looking to make your pockets hurt a little. We came here to celebrate an engagement. As a party of 8 we reserved a few days in advance on Saturday night outside. Upon arrival, they had an option for us inside which was very nice of them to offer. Along with that, we were offered champagne while we waited for our new table! Food: - 90-minute open bar option ($30): This included all their house wine. Their $35 open bar included two liquor drinks. I think either is a good option even if you just wanted to drink any maybe share a single plate or so. You can easily drink two within an hour and a 3rd to top you off. Recommend. **The food IS small plates so expect...well small plates (2 servings per plate). If you truly wanna share proper meals this might not be the place for you but with that being said I felt like all the food could have been a bit better. Brussel Sprouts: 5/5 - Its hard to mess up brussel sprouts but they are delightful when done well. This was one of those moments Stuffed mushrooms: 5/5 - (4 included) - One of the better things ordered off the menu. Mushroom was a good size and had some great flavors all around. Bread: 5/5 - Sometimes something as simple as bread and oil can be the best. The EVOO was incredible, I wish I knew where it was from Lamb Hummus: 3/5 - I don't think anything about it made it stand out from just regular hummus. The lamb did not have much flavor to me either. - Service: 4/5 I'd first like to say thank you Colin and the rest of the team being super accommodating during a slight allergy scare (totally on me for not paying attention to what I was eating)! I might've scared Colin quite badly my apologies. However, with that being said I think the service started to wain just a tad towards the end of our meal. Once Colin left there were an array of people taking our orders and the flow wasn't there as much but overall still a good experience. Other: Ventura Parking; you know how it is and it is a nightmare. I believe they have valet but street parking and neighboring parking lots might be your best option. The price was quite heavy but it could well be worth it for a good time!

Bacari has quickly become one of my favorite places; the food, the bar, the cocktail menu... Parking - it can be difficult to find street parking in this popular area but they have valet, and the valet team is super quick, and friendly. The vibe inside can't be beat. It's tight quarters, sure, it's almost communal. But each time I've been, everyone has been so jovial and friendly, yet somehow not too loud, and not too crowded. The food - I haven't had a bad dish yet. The ceviche is my favorite, followed closely by the pork belly! I'm usually very against tapas style restaurants because the servings tend to be so small - but that is not the case here. I happily can share these dishes because they give you enough to share. You know what else, after my first visit, perhaps because I made a reservation through OpenTable, I received a sincere and thoughtful thank-you email from one of the owners. That's top class.

I remember my first time eating at a tapas restaurant years ago at this quaint Spanish place off 3rd St. where the food was amazing and sharing dishes with my friends was the best time. I've always longed to find another place like this, and even though there are many great tapas places in LA, I just haven't been able to replicate that memorable experience until I walked into Bacari Sherman Oaks! Every single menu item is beyond delicious and just the right shareable size where you can treat your palate to so many amazing dishes. I'll share some of my favorites that we usually order each time, with the first being their tripoline pasta. This dish has a cream sauce so rich and tasty with an added spicy kick that makes this pasta-perfection for me! Another go-to I'll always order is their burrata caprese. Bacari's curation of this appetizer with burrata di gioia, fresh basil, heirloom cherry tomatoes and basil walnut pesto is one that I seriously could scoop up all night long with each of those portions on top of their delicious fresh baguette! Their hand-made ricotta & beet gnocchi with chèvre fondue and chimichurri is so impressive and yummy- we loved it! Bacari really knows how to curate a menu that's unique and bold while giving us patrons some of the best food in LA! I cannot help but mention their asian pear & brie pizza...Is it an entrée, is it a dessert? We still haven't decided, but we do ask for this to come out after our other choices just incase we're too full for an added dessert and it really works well that way! As far as the cocktails go, Bacari does not disappoint! Their carefully crafted menu, with housemade infused syrups and seasonal choices, make this one of my favorite places in LA to get a delicious cocktail. The chill pill and the confidant are two of my favorites, but each one on their menu I've loved! One of my favorite things about this Bacari is how they've resurrected one of the most enchanting locations in LA, a location that's been sitting vacant for years. Bacari's renovation of the former Rive Gauche location is beyond stunning. They've given you choices where you can have a unique dining experience with each visit and I LOVE that! An enchanting patio garden area weaves throughout the space while beautiful French windows line the walls letting in natural light by day and views of the twinkle lights on the patio by night...And with two bar areas incorporated in their dining spaces, you get to experience a different amazing vibe with each visit! With Bacari's friendly and knowledgeable staff and management, who all work together as a team, they ensure each table receives attention showing how much they value their patrons. I haven't been to all Bacari locations throughout LA yet, but this Sherman Oaks location has made me excited to get the Bacari experience at each and every one. If you haven't tried it yet, you are missing out! Thank you Bacari for making LA more amazing!

This Mediterranean and Italian inspired restaurant offers a creative take on some traditional dishes we know and love. The latest location in Sherman Oaks includes new menu items. I visited the 1st Bacari in West Adams in 2009 and became a customer ever since. This space represents elements of the neighborhood with patio dining, full adjacent bar and an inviting seating area with a fireplace. I met a group of friends here for dinner. We ordered several appetizers and entrees pictured here in my review. Some of my favorites were the Shrimp Cerviche, Mussels, Shawarma Taco and Tripoline Pasta. The cocktail of the night was the Bacarita, a watermelon infused margarita. We visited on a week day early evening during happy hour and the place was packed. Parking is tight in the area and the restaurant lot. I'd opt for valet if you can. Excellent establishment

Amazing... That's alway a good start to nice evening. We had an early dinner reservation which is never bad. Even though we arrived early, they were working on the earlier seating time. Instead, bar it was for a starter. Cocktail menu was impressive. The bartender was all amazing. Very friendly, attentive and knowledgeable in their craft. Drinks were great as well. Once seated, we sat inside. Rooms were all pretty neat both the inside where there's 2 bar as well as all the outdoor seating. I believe the menu is all the same at the other location. Atmosphere and the whole vibe was amazing. No pretentious attitude. Plates are tapas style so it's meant for sharing and a couple is recommended per person. We had the burrata, very creamy with pesto sauce tomatoes and bread, the mussels in the tomatoes sauce, the mushrooms pizza, the steak, the sea bass and the chicken sliders. Everything was outstanding and full of flavors. Everything that we ordered, no crumbs were left. Food was outstanding and full of flavors. Service was amazing, friendly staff and beautiful experience. Will have to come back for bunch with the little pooch as we found out it's pet friendly. Highly recommend.

I recently dined at Bacari and had a wonderful experience. The restaurant is small and kind of a tight fit, but it exudes cute and homey vibes. The atmosphere is dark and loud, adding to its unique charm. The service was exceptional, with staff always checking on our table, ensuring everything was perfect, and keeping our water glasses filled. The food was fantastic, offering light yet filling options. The drinks tasted amazing, though they were on the lighter side. Overall, Bacari is a great spot for a cozy and enjoyable meal!

Had an amazing experience, hostess was super nice and friendly she even complemented my dress :) This was my first time on this location i love how romantic it was perfect lighting so cozy with so many windows, i was there for dinner but i cannot wait to go back during the day or a rainy day with all those windows. our server was super nice and attentive. We had the octopus pizza which was delicious, the pork belly cooked to perfection, and of course my favorite warm bread pudding with ice cream my drink I believe it was called love letter, was delicious. Cant wait to go back!!

If you're into large portions, then this is not your spot. The food quality is above average with unique tastes. You might be surprised with a single bun for a hamburger, but it's all about being healthy and experience a different restaurant atmosphere!

Okay, the photos I have do NOT give this place justice but this is my second review so deal with it. This will forever be our bougie haunt and I'm still so excited this place is thriving on a friggin Wednesday. Yes, even on a Wednesday this place is utterly packed with people, and for good reason. HOLY FLAVOR OF THE BEAUTIFUL DIONYSIUS THEMSELVES! From excellent service to unreal food, Bacari always delivers and I can't be more grateful for the Sherman Oaks pride! My husband has an onion allergy and legit everyone was on it to make sure he didn't have onions ruining his night. I mean consequently I won by getting a lot of the carb heavy dishes, but his genetic loss, jk, I'm so sad he can't try all of this but this menu is enough that everyone will have fun and the staff knows how to BRING IT! Everything from their house draft rose to their specialty dishes are excellent. We couldn't be happier for a fun Wednesday outing, thank you to everyone working tonight and especially at the bar for helping us have an incredible night. The Hamptons

My husband and I celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary on Saturday August 31st. We had a fabulous time from start to finish... When we checked in with the hostess she wished us a happy anniversary, offered us two champagne glasses and sat us at a beautiful table near the window. The food and service was excellent! We definitely plan on coming back and telling all our family and friends.

Last minute dinner plans and thank goodness a friend knew about this hidden gem. Yes, it's hidden literally behind a fence/gate covered in vines providing much privacy and a more intimate setting right on Ventura Blvd!!! Who knew??? Not me, until this visit! Luckily we arrived for an early dinner with out a reservation and were seated right away an the beautiful, yet tightly packed patio. Fantastic service and they all work as a team, so just flag down any staff ya need. Love that concept. Everything is tapas style, small plates. Not normally sharable as they recommend 2-3 per guest, however, my friend and ai shared everything we ordered so we could try more things. I loved the scallops and beet salad. Everything else was 5 star but those 2 items where highlights for me. An extensive, extremely varied menu with so much more yo try. 5 star all the way! I will definitely be back!!

Relatives from out of town and wanted a nice dinner where we could talk and catch up while enjoying a first rate meal. Bacari is the perfect spot. A warm night was perfect for an outdoor table in the courtyard area. Beautiful location. Sarah, our server, was at our table soon after sitting down to get our drink orders and explain items on the menu. Service was excellent throughout the meal. Bacari features shareable small plates. We went with 5 dishes for the 4 of us (plus dessert, of course). More than enough for a dinner. My favorite was the mushroom pizza ($15). Wow was that good. My cousin was partial to the Mac and Cheese as her favorite ($12.50). The Salatim is 3 spreads (cashew pate, chickpea hummus, and hazelnut beet muhammara) served with 3 house made pitas ($16.50). Excellent shareable starter. We also shared the stuffed mushrooms ($14.50) and the street corn ($12). Outstanding service, beautiful ambiance, and interesting tasty food. Excellent dining choice.

Came here for my reunion and we had a fixed menu, it was incredible! Everything from the ambience to the food was a 10/10. The waiter and staff were great to work with, however my only concern was the portions. We had to share a lot of the dishes off the fixed menu and I was left a little hungry afterwards, so that's my only concern. But overall it was a great experience!

Went for a casual business dinner. The main building looks small from first glance but I soon realized it was much larger with a huge patio. The ambience is special. A really cool vibe with attentive and friendly staff. I'm not much of a Tapas fan, but the choices are unique and eclectic here. Was easy to find choices to satisfy the carnivores and vegans alike in our group. It was a nice place to spend a couple of hours enjoying good food and drink. Their spin on a margarita is tasty, albeit a bit spicy.
