Bacchanalia Mayfair

Bacchanalia continues to set the standard for hospitality in Mayfair. From arrival to the end of the evening, the entire team delivered a truly polished experience. A particular thank you to Daniel on the door, whose professionalism and warm welcome immediately set the tone for the night. He manages the entrance with real poise and makes guests feel looked after before they’ve even stepped inside. The reception team handled our arrival smoothly and efficiently, the waiting staff were attentive and knowledgeable throughout the evening, and the bar team delivered excellent drinks with real consistency and care. The tiramisu is to DIE FOR. What stands out most is how well the whole operation runs. It’s clear the management team have built a strong culture of service, because every part of the experience feels coordinated, confident and genuinely high-end. Bacchanalia remains one of the most impressive dining experiences in London. A fantastic evening and credit to everyone involved.

Came here thinking we were going to do the set menu, but because it was the festive period there was no prix fixe, so we thought f it and went all in instead. Ordered mains, two sides to share, split a cheesecake, and had an incredible espresso martini plus a Disaronno and coke. No regrets. Definitely make a reservation, it gets busy. They take your coat at the door which is such a nice touch, the service is genuinely lovely, and the restaurant itself is beautiful, even the bathrooms are incredible. We thought we’d spent a lot… until we saw the table next to us pay double. Everything was delicious and the whole experience felt really special.

Food was great: the ragu was very good i would come back for that; the mushroom risotto was properly cooked and delicious. At deserts we had the tiramisu which was very good and the basque cheesecake which was ok, more of a reinterpretation of a basque cheesecake. The service was stellar, Andrew was very helpful and overall nice person!

Everything was absolutely lovely! The food was delicious, the staff were so warm and attentive, and the atmosphere was just beautiful — especially with the live opera, which made the whole experience feel so special. I also really appreciated the little birthday surprise, such a thoughtful touch that made my day even more memorable. It was my first visit, and I’ve already booked my second… that says it all! Can’t wait to come back again. xx

Amazing atmosphere and unique restaurant. Opera was exhilarating too, and added to the atmosphere. I would certaintly give it more stars for atmosphere. Also visually stunning with interesting architecture like Ancient Rome/Greece. Food was delicious too although the fried squid was too oily and portion small. Seafood pasta and steak were decent too. However expected slightly higher quality if food given location and price, service was OK, but felt some of the staff lacked knowledge and attention sadly. Definitely worth a visit and it is facinating experience for all the senses.

Had a truly exceptional experience here! The food was the highlight, specifically the ribeye steak—it was seasoned and cooked absolutely perfectly. We happened to visit on a night with live music (which I believe only happens twice a week), and it made the atmosphere so much more special. To top it off, the service was top-notch. The staff was incredibly polite and paid attention to every little detail. Highly recommend!

Bacchanalia is without a doubt one of the most beautifully decorated restaurants I have ever seen. The interior is absolutely stunning and makes the experience feel very special from the moment you walk in. The food was good overall solid quality, but I’d say around 3 out of 5, not exceptional enough to fully match the grandeur of the place. Service was generally fine, however one downside was the attitude of the lady who wanted to take a chair from our table, which felt unnecessary and slightly uncomfortable in an otherwise upscale setting. Overall, a great experience for the atmosphere and design, with good food, but there’s still room for improvement on the service side to make it truly outstanding.
