Staff was so nice!! Barely any pictures of food so we didn’t think they sold food but their menu is amazing. I had the steak sandwich which was very tender and my boyfriend had the burger. It was super delicious!! And once again the staff is so friendly!

While I was hesitant to go into this bar, I am glad I did. The food is really reasonable for the quality. The larger pours of wine are a little spendy for the area. But it's a hotel bar. Bradley is an amazing bartender. He really engages with his customers and has great interpersonal skills. He knows how to read his customers well.

Google
It's a beautiful bar and the bartender is amazing at what he does! The drinks were amazing. I definitely want to come back and try the food.

The ambiance? The feeling of being inside a white-hot LED chandelier grows weary quickly. The lighting is terrible. The service? Be prepared for the edgy bartender to be on edge. Be kind, he does have yo work in the midst of an eye-piercing supernova. The drinks? I've had better wine out of a box than the $20 glass of Pinot Noir.

RJ is amazing -a really talented bartender very skilled and kind. We had a group of four and he really took care of us at the bar. We felt very welcomed. The cocktails are very experiential and This place closes early and he kindly gave us a place to go after they close. The selection of alcohol was also amazing. My partner ordered some very specific stuff that we were impressed that they had. I got the cocktails on the menu which were yummy. One of the best drinks was excessive bacchanalia … gosh I’m spelling that wrong but it was Smokey and cinnamon and so good .

Google
The BEST Jell-O shots in town, $4/piece, but the espresso one comes with a homemade whipped cream, and the old fashioned one is strong and comes with an orange twist

Google
I was intrigued by the picture I saw online of a drink lit up inside of a coconut. Come to find out they do not have that drink, as it must have been a drink by the previous owners. Too bad, but the drinks were still tasty. The bar is literally in the lobby, across from the hotel counter to check in. But once we were seated it did t feel like we were in the lobby of a hotel.

Google
The weekend bartender is a very skilled mixologist. He shared his knowledge about the items on the bar freely and makes some amazing cocktails. Prices are not inexpensive but you are getting quality. I would come back here for the bar.

Yelp
was good. Drinks were amazing. We had the excessive hedoism. A spiced whiskey with amaretto smoked cedar wood and cinnamon stick. Bartender grandpa and Afro aka jona were amazing host. Nice lobby bar with a upstair game lounge. Beautiful art. Comfortable seating. Very comfortable stay and visit

Yelp
We went to the Miracle Pop Up Bar that took over the Bacchus Bar. The website described it as... "Miracle is a Christmas-themed pop-up cocktail bar that serves holiday cocktails in a festive setting. With kitschy holiday décor, professionally-developed cocktails and the nostalgic energy of the best office party you've ever been to, Miracle is sure to get even the grouchiest grinch in the holiday spirit." I'm a big fan of Kimpton Hotels and Hotel Vintage, but was very underwhelmed when I saw how half assed the Christmas decor that lacked any type of charm or immersion. Hell there wasn't even any Christmas music that was playing. The decor honestly consisted of cheap felt decorations that I've seen in Dollar Tree and a very lazy panel of various wrapping paper and some cool ornament displays The cocktails however were good and no one in our party disliked their drinks. We were however disappointed that most drinks were in the $13-14 range despite being served in a setting with cheap thrift store decorations and the venue being understaffed despite not seeming overly busy. Our server was nice but was hardly around to take our order which caused me to miss happy hour pricing despite being there for 12 mins or so before the cutoff. She mentioned not being able to override the system. Our food took a long time to arrive and everyone got their food at wildly different times. Most of our party were ready to leave 20 mins before the last 2 people even got their food out. Had the server been around more frequently this could have been addressed early on but it wasn't so it caused our party to be late for a performance they were planning to attend. Overall the drinks were good but for a place charging a premium for food and drink and for an event that was marketed pretty heavily...I just expected a lot more.

Yelp
Nick is an amazing bartender. He walked me thru the selection and made the night one to remember. I will be back.

Yelp
This little spot shares the lobby with the Vintage Hotel. The front desk for the hotel is actually inside the bar. But it isn't weird- it's a casual come and go atmosphere. Our bartenders took the time to introduce themselves, and we learned where they were from, what they were doing here. They had a guy playing guitar, I think he performed most of his album while we were there. It was good music, this guy was a true artist, but slow and somber. Please remember to tip your musicians. There is actually a hallway to Il Solito, a restaurant I highly recommend. They share their food menu with Il Solito. Cocktails ran about $14 for exotic cocktails, but they have a wine hour on Thursdays with local wine. There are also Pool tables upstairs if you fancy that! I ordered coffee too... local strong stuff of legends.

Yelp
We were in the area and needed a quick drink and decided to come in here. I've been in hete a couple of times but never really sat in the lounge area, but up at the bar. The vibe and atmosphere is welcoming. The hostess was friendly and patient while I decided on what to drink. I opted for the Snowball Old Fashioned as it was a seasonal drink made with a snowball of ice. The drink was refreshing and not very sweet, which I enjoyed. We didn't eat as we were planning on getting towards our next destination. Overall, cool spot and comfortable. Just a note - cell reception is bad in that area.

Yelp
This bar has an amazing atmosphere with fantastic drinks to match. The mixologist Colette is top-notch at their craft. They know how to quickly make delicious drinks that create a lovely experience. They use the highest quality ingredients and press their own juices creating the best drinks you could imagine. Thank you so much for taking pride in what you provide, we need more people like you. I will be recommending not just the venue but you specifically.

Yelp
Cute little spot, we came because we saw others reviews for happy hour that was later but it's actually 4-6pm. Everyone liked their drink and the bartender was very friendly!

Yelp
I came in here with a friend on a Wednesday night for cocktails at the Miracle Bar pop up. The lobby bar vibe and overall set up of it is really cute and SO festive, everywhere you look is Christmas. This is a really inviting bar as well, many comfy seats for bigger groups and quiet nooks for dates or meetings. We had the Koala-La-La-La drink and whatever the coffee, chocolatey tequila drink is. As someone who does not drink much tequila other than a margarita, I actually really liked the chilly tequila beverage, however, my tequila loving friend did not. The Koala drink is great if you love gin and any herbaly cocktails. Our waitress was GREAT personality wise and with her drink recommendations but pretty slow as far as checking in on us went. Overall, I will 100% be back during the holidays because hey it only comes once a year.

Yelp
Located inside the Hotel Vintage, Bacchus Bar is the perfect place to grab a drink. Looks and feels upscale but lat the same time it's very laid back and chill! I stayed a couple times inside Hotel Vintage, and they host a daily wine hour from 5-6pm with local wineries. It's so convenient that Bacchus Bar does their happy hour 7 NIGHTS A WEEK from 6-8pm. Half off local wines and brews, beers ended up being only $3-$4. Such a steal! They have live music on the weekend and there's plenty of seating within the lounge. Bartenders and Hotel Vintage staff are friendly. Whether you are a hotel guest or not, definitely worth popping in and having a couple drinks if you're around in the early evening!

Yelp
Let's just be real: hotel bars are rad and don't get the respect they deserve. Bacchus Bar is the perfect example. Located inside the Kimpton Hotel Vintage, Bacchus Bar is tucked into the back of the lobby, and feels like a secret corner of cool. There's plenty of places to sit with friends or a date, and I've never once found it to be crowded. Plus, if you go upstairs you can play free pool or shuffleboard! They have an impressive (if maybe a little spendy by a couple of bucks) cocktail list that is super creative. It's all very aromatic, and if you sit at the bar, you're going to get some good smells, free of charge. My favorite is the Herbfashioned, which marries rye with saffron and bitters. A close second is the Broadway Boulevardier. Now, Boulevardiers are my favorite cocktail in general, and they make a great one here: Trails End bourbon, Cocchi Torino, Campari. The fact that I still call the Herbfashioned my favorite is really saying something. With a name like Bacchus Bar, you'd expect a good wine list. I can't say much about it, because I drink the cocktails. There's good food options, the menu is Italian-inspired. The chicken parm sandwich is on point. So is the Caesar salad. Go here for a sexy hotel date.

Yelp
Located in the lobby of Portland's Vintage Hotel on Broadway. The Bacchus Bar is a hip outpost of subdued elegance. My wife and I were staying at the Benson, and stopped in for a drink. The Bacchus's bartender delights in crafting delicious cocktails. He uses carefully selected ingredients and has a great selection of quality liquors. The cocktails are interesting and delicious. They also serve a good selection of wines by the glass, and an even better selection of wines by the bottle. There is a small but very nice selection of small plates, appetizers and pizzas for late night joshing.

Yelp
One of the BEST (and underrated) bars in downtown Portland! Inside the beautiful Hotel Vintage, this bar delivers high quality cocktails in a modern, chic fashion. I had the Herb Fashion one night and WOW! I had to order one more. Both Andrew and Brian (Goose) are masters at their trade. Go check this place out!

Yelp
We didn't realize this bar was in the lobby of a hotel! It was a bit hard to find because of this but that isn't that big of a deal. The bar itself is very small and they have plenty of seating around. They occasionally have live music which is great and there are many signature cocktails and beer on tap. The bartender working that night was awesome and it was a very quiet and classy vibe. not a lot of people there on a weekend night so I would think this location would be good for a date night or quick casual drink with some girlfriends!

Yelp
My favorite hotel bar in town. This is honestly my secret hideout, but they just hit their 3rd birthday and they deserve the recognition. Are you looking for a place to chill and have great cocktails? This is that place. The wine selection is great, the draught beers are solid. The pool is free, and the xbox can be played. What more can you ask for? Oh yeah, it's also gorgeous and home to some of the most awesome bartenders of all time. Need I say more?

Yelp
Was in Portland for a few days for work and wanted to stay close to my hotel for dinner. Wanted something casual and easy on the limited work budget. Located in the Hotel Vintage, it is a really nice place to hang out and share a bunch of plates. They were also slow so let us order some of the entrees off of the main hotel restaurant menu. Nice decor, really great bartenders and good food options.

Yelp
A lovely and traditional day at the Nutcracker and shopping with my daughter ended on a LOW note at Bacchus Bar. Arriving in the middle of happy hour with several open tables, our server was not able to keep up with her work load. What should have been a simple order of two HH appetizers, a cup of soda, and one cocktail was apparently, a very tall order. She was perpetually frazzled, and apologetic for being non-attentive. It took 20 minutes to get a replacement for a dropped spoon. I ordered a second cocktail that never arrived. When she remembered, I was about to tell her to cancel it, when she told me it was on the house. Incidentally, it was Not on the house. It was part of my $48 bill. Note, do not get the $4 cup of soda. The bread knots were delicious, the cup of broccoli soup was Fantastic, and the calamari was terrible. Sadly, the breading is way too thick and floury and the aioli itasteless. I will say, the holiday decor was odd. Not well done and I was disappointed in the lack of holiday feel. Holiday music would have helped. I've been to Pazzo, Bacchus, and Il Solito many times. This was a complete miss and I will think twice before returning. Update: We have kissed and made up. The service staff is friendly and prompt. They work very hard to attend to everyone promptly, even when they are slammed. The refreshed menu is elevated and Very delicious. Chris makes a mean margarita. Love the nightly live music.

Yelp
A very unique and festive bar in the lobby of the Hotel Vintage. I had a couple beers for Happy Hour at the iL Solito one day - and the barkeep encouraged me to pop my head into the Lobby bar. It is decorated to the max for Christmas. It operates for one month as Miracle Bar - with festive drinks and servers decked out in fun outfits. I made a point to return to Bacchus lobby bar called Miracle for some Happy Hour. It was quite busy straightaway - they open at 4 and the bar seating was completely full. There are options to sit at random tables throughout, some with little tables and chairs, others with low couches and coffee type tables. My friend snagged a seat near winding staircase. We had really exceptional service considering it was getting busier and busier. Our server had a cute little apron on, she looked like an elf. Amanda. We each got a specialty drink - Egg Nog for Me and Carol Barrel for my friend. Both quality, a wee bit expensive, but cocktails are anyway. My egg nog came in this adorable tea cup. I savored every sip. We each shared some bites - The Warmed Olives. So many olives the portion was pretty generous. The potato skins with Artichoke Dip. Funky unique pairing, but very savory. I said Hi to an old acquaintance that worked there and even though he wasn't our server, he offered us more bevs. Harvey. This bar is limited, so get in while you can - fun for groups, datey, or just pal'ing around with an old friend. It's quite fun and cheery. Lucky we got in when we did, as later on in the eve. patrons were eye our spot like vultures.

Yelp
Went here during a Saturday afternoon and I would have to give this bar 5 stars for the customer service, live music and relaxed vibe. I hate that I forgot the name of the guy who was singing and playing guitar but he sure knew how to play! The selection of food is pretty limited, it's more of a quick bite type of place. They do have a good number of pizzas to munch on. I was feeling simple that day so I got the pepperoni pizza but their flare with garlic pieces really made a difference. If you are looking for a bar, and just want to look for a good place to relax and listen to music, this is the place for you. They also have a pool table upstairs for you pool sharks. Bathrooms are clean (they are located upstairs).

Yelp
The Bacchus Bar is a hidden gem in downtown Portland in the lobby of the Kimpton Vintage. If your looking for a bartender to create an original cocktail just for you, based on your choice of liquor, then Bacchus is the place. Geoffrey never ceased to amaze me with the creative cocktails he prepared based on my current mood & taste. One of the nights my husband and I were able to listen to one of the best live music performances of a local band, The Junebugs! We purchased 2 of their CD's and love to listen to them back in Florida! Reminds us of our wonderful trip to the Northwest! Thank You Geoffrey for helping make our 4 day trip to Portland memorable!

Yelp
Horrible overrated. Hostess was never there when you needed/wanted her, and oh by the way, was there *any* alcohol in my drink? mmmm... dubious....

Yelp
We did pre drinks and appetizers on an early Friday night, before the wine hour started in the lobby, at the Bacchus Bar. The bar is directly connected to the lobby, but it feels well separated from the front desk/check in area. I am terrible with names, but our server at the Bacchus Bar was very sweet and informative on any menu questions we had. Since we came in during happy hour, the appetizers were half off. I think there may have been a drink special as well, but the cocktail menu was not on special. They had interesting drinks that I would have loved to try, but my wife and I decided to split a bottle of champagne. Our server brought out and bottle and playfully displayed it for us. This place feels upscale, but it also has the laid back, fun, Portland vibe. Our server, (I wish I remembered her name) also had a bottle stand to keep our champagne near us, and in ice.We never had to reach for the bottle anyway, since our server was quick to refill our glasses for us. For the appetizer, we shared the crab appetizer, which was two decent slices of toast covered in a good amount of crab, avocado slices, and lemon. This was the perfect amount of food for a little something for our tummies while we drank our champagne. It was light and delicious, and went well with our champagne.

Yelp
Bacchus Bar has the most amazing old fashioned and the atmosphere is relaxed and comfortable! Definitely coming back!

Yelp
Fantastic lobby bar at the Hotel Vintage Portland. Karrie got a delicious spritzer (yay spring weather!) and the bartender, Geoffrey, made me the best mezcal drink I've ever had. Amazing! Swing in for a cocktail, you'll be glad you did.

Terri V.

Yelp
Goose is an amazing bartender. He made a drink called Black Bird Singing in the Middle of the Nightmare Before Christmas. He LOVES his job and it shows. Even if you do not stay at the Hotel Vintage go inside to the bar and have a great one of a kind drink by Goose.
google avatar

Michael L.

Yelp
Perhaps unfair given it has been designated as the restaurant for the hotel. Still, they serve eggs. A simple request for hard boiled eggs was met with "no". No maybe. No nothing. For a hotel of this stature to have such limited food available, one would think it'd be happy to serve a guest 2 hard boiled eggs. Seriously, it takes a pot, a fire, water and 2 eggs. When one has ill-trained staff to man the bar, this is what you get. Training is obviously lacking.
google avatar

Omar F.

Yelp
Great drinks, great service. 5 Star atmosphere for half the cost. We had drinks and watched a mariner game. Thanks!

martha l.

Yelp
I wish I would have read a review from last years Miracle Bar event. All the points brought up in 2018 remain problematic in 2019. Decorations were ok, but definitely not the over-the-top kitsch I had in mind. No music at all, very strange! Took 30 minutes to get cocktail. We had already munched on chex mix and an appetizer and had to ask for water and inquire about our drinks. Love the idea, but they need to have more staff to keep things rolling and put more effort into decor and atmosphere.
google avatar

Yelp
Stopped by as the 'first round' on a barhopping night; definitely better decor than the other 'dive' spots we frequented later. A fancy, but unpretentious spot, that serves very good drinks (and our bartender that night was friendly & funny) in a relaxing atmosphere. Only downside was the wait for pizza--coming from next door, seemingly--and the slightly above average taste of it (was expecting something a bit better, maybe more fitting of the fancy surroundings possibly). Worth a return visit, for sure.

Matt K.

Yelp
What an incredible find. Top 3 cocktail bar for me IMO. The drinks were incredible, reasonably priced, and nice overall atmosphere. What made the last couple visits extra great was the bartender Jeffrey. On the spot he whipped up some awesome drinks with fresh ingredients. We never even ordered off menu, he just asked us what we liked and made something we would enjoy. Which we did! This will definitely be our new go to spot before doing something downtown or ending the night there.

Yelp
This is a great place if you want to hang out with 2 or 3 friends for a snack and a drink. The bar is relatively quiet with a lot of open seating, and the drinks are not too expensive.
google avatar

Yelp
I don't usually frequent hotel bars. But Bacchus Bar is a cut above - the service was fantastic and the drinks even more so. From a wide variety of housemade syrups to the attention to detail with the garnish, it made "going out for a drink" seem infinitely more special. It's a great spot to head to for a simultaneous upscale and relaxed atmosphere. You won't leave here dissatisfied!

Cory F.

Yelp
Super cozy bar with great drinks! The hotel rooms are also pretty nice and reasonable. I've gone to this place few times and were satisfied each time. Good place to chill and relax. Make sure to order their Dirty Martini!

Belis I.

Yelp
Nice chill place to have a drink and some snacks. The pizza is amaze balls for sure but the service is ok. You have to order at the bar. That's sort of annoying
