This has less about the store but the service in general. I ordered a pair of climbing shoes online first then requested a replacement for bigger size. I had to remind them to ship out the replacement. Then the shoes are still not the right fit so I went to the local store to return the shoes and bought a new pair. It’s been two full weeks, I haven’t received my refund so I reached out to the CS chat. And basically I have to remind them to process my refund. I have never had any experience like this before. You return the products and having to remind them to process your refund….? Please kindly improve your system. But I have to say the employees at the store are extremely friendly and helpful. This staff showed me the differences in between brands and models and was very patient with me and helped me with the sizing. So maybe don’t shop online in the future.

I had a great experience at this store. I purchased a few items online that unfortunately didn’t workout for me. I was able to return the item at the store and they ordered the items I needed for me as they didn’t have it in store. I’m so happy with my new boots 🥰

I was informed today that backcountry does not handle warranty claims on Zipp products. It’s disgusting to find out the company you bought from does not honor to warranty (go somewhere else for support)….can you say DEAD BEAT!! Not cool Backcountry you should not be allowed to take the profit on the sale and ditch the customer support.

If there were more stars, I would give them a 9. Amazing customer service I called to inquire about NTN Telemark skis and bindings. Barret spoke with me on the phone for an above and beyond amount of time. Then I went into the store and Erica helped me for over an hour find what seemed to be the perfect match ski that would work for a 5 foot 4, 131 lbs 56 year old who had been on 15 year old gear. I ended up on Icelandic Mystics and 22 design Bandits. They mounted my skis in less than 2 days and Barret did an excellent job customizing the mount for me. I was super excited and nervous to try out the skis, not sure if I had made the right choice (couldn’t fall asleep til 1 am). But I was right on target to trust them because after 1 run I knew I was right on track. Steeps and deeps, through bumps and I even had too much confidence and hucked a small cliff. Thank you Erica and Barret, you are pro gearheads!!!!

Checked out this place for the first time. This place feels like a mix of REI & Moosejaw. They have a lot of camping equipment & a very nice bike area with a repair center. Overall decent price point and very friendly staff. Martin was informative on all the stores offerings & gave great customer assistance. If you’re in the market for any of these products make sure you check them out!!! 💯👍🏼👏🏼

I'm not sure about the other locations, but you can tell the second you walk in: Sales is the priority, careerism of the management 2nd, then customer service. If you exist to shop, cool, but if you love what the outdoors has to offer, leave as fast as you can. There is a manager at this store who has clearly had a lifetime of experience projecting insecurities onto customers. I don't know that I've ever seen a manager display such a vindictive mentality towards customers.

All the staff are friendly and helpful. The actual stock in the store is much smaller compared to what is listed on their website. Also, considering the complicated local traffic conditions and the cost of Uber or taxis, you should carefully think about the best time to visit. A plus is that it is located very close to rei co-op, a similar type of store.

Went in to buy a pair of hiking boots. They were super patient with me while I decided what would be the best pair for me and what my priorities were. They were super thorough in providing quick tips to make the breaking-in process as painless as possible!

Yelp
I'm so impressed with the staff here. Joe really went above and beyond to help me with my snowboard and help me put my bindings on. I really appreciated how quickly he did it and took the time to explain everything to me. Zach was also very helpful in helping me find my bindings. I was pleasantly surprised that they have an on-site tech to help with ski, snowboard and bike services. Thanks Backcountry for helping me this season!

Yelp
The bike shop was super helpful! I bought pedals at a different store, but they were understaffed and wouldn't help me get my old pedals off. I went to this bike shop and they helped right away, no wait, no charge, removed my pedals and put on the new ones. Great experience.

Yelp
shouts out to Clayton for the tune on my snowboard - he fixed up a huge gash i had and i can't even tell where it was anymore and shouts out to Tyler for making sure i walked out with the right bib - i was struggling between insulated and not, and he gave me the confidence i was looking for in my choice

Yelp
Really impressed with the service at this store! I have been buying online from Backcountry for years but after such a great experience, I am going to do more shopping here. I think that at least three different people helped me find things or gave me product advice. In a world of online shopping, this reminds me of the value of the in-person shopping experience.

Yelp
I received the best service from Clayon in the bike service department. He went above and beyond to set up a set of bike wheels. Seek him out for any bike service/repair and fit services you may need.
