Backstage Hotel Vernissage

Very central to train stations, grocery and liquor store, and many restaurants and shopping! The full breakfast included is very appreciated! Full access to many spa options and the unique "CUBE" rooms is something one needs to experience! The staff are all very welcoming and personable. We would definitely come back!

The staffs made our trip memorable. We all encounter this sudden snowstorm and blackout for 2 days. But the staffs were always there to help us. Provide us with breakfast in the morning timely even though we were in a blackout. And made sure we get to charge our mobiles through whatever electricity they have. They even cooked lunch for us through the fireplace as the kitchen was not functional. Thank you so much

Excellent, modern, cosy Boutique hotel👌 Staff is highly warm and cooperative specially Laura attends so warmly and helpful to make your visit comfortable. And breakfast is delectable served pleasingly by Marcha and others. Enjoyed our stay.

Location was amazing. Staff were kind, terrific, and helpful - everyone was lovely. They work very hard and it shows. Everything else could use improvement. The spa was disappointing. One of the rooms had a floating tub - but when I filled it up there was so much chlorine in it my skin started to burn and turned red and itchy. The hot tub outside was uncomfortably cold and the steps were extremely slippery. Overall not pleasant. The room didn’t have good ventilation and at night it was very stuffy. Sheets had stains. The lights in the bathroom and shower flickered anytime they were on. I’m sure they will fix but they should have before I came. I had stayed at a less expensive hotel right before that was much more luxurious in every way. Disappointed at this was supposed to be a splurge for me but all the little things added up. Best part were all the lovely staff and location. The art is unique. If price was less then I would understand.

We were originally booked for their serviced apartment which was a bit far, we requested Laura at the front desk of the hotel to move us to the hotel from the apartment, she was most understanding and helpful and she did that, she also booked some nice restaurant for us for dinner and gave us info on sight seeing spots, we are very thankful to her for making our stay most enjoyable, the breakfast at this hotel is very nice and we were served by Marcia who was also very helpful and served with a smile for the 3 days we stayed, in fact all the staff of the hotel is warm and friendly, the rooms are modern, we had the room with an attic where the beds are placed, quite nice, the location of the hotel is very central, all in all a wonderful experience

We had an amazing stay during our mini honey moon. The views are amazing. The location is perfect. Also the rooms are spacious and clean. Will stay there again in my next visit to Zermatt

First, the pictures of this hotel are deceiving. Especially the one of the back of the hotel that makes it look like there is a pool. Note that there is no pool, only a normal sized hot tub. ||Second, the hotel is built on top of a music club and you will hear the bands that play there until 4am. ||Third, as a guest you are not allowed in the lobby after 7pm as they prioritize their restaurant over paying guests of the hotel. This rule is outrageous. ||Lastly, staying in this hotel is like living in a piece of artwork. It is cool looking, but uncomfortable and many aspects in the rooms just don’t make sense. The bathtub, for example, takes an hour to fill because it is so large. Lights don’t work, beds in the loft suites almost touch the ceiling, etc.

The family cube room was fantastic! The room was huge and well maintained. The restaurant in the hotel was fantastic, so prepare yourself for a big brunch! Chris at the front desk was amazing.

Very friendly, welcoming hotel in the heart of the village. 3 minute walk to train station. Our suite was clean and had a beautiful view of the Matterhorn. The morning breakfast was very complete.

We found Backstage Hotel while browsing CN Traveler. Luckily for us - there was availability! The only room that was available was the "Family" Cube/ Room which exceeded our expectations - the room was one of the biggest hotel rooms we had stayed in Europe! In addition to the main room with seating area, there was also another small room with bunk beds and a second bathroom. Our favorite part of the room was the balcony that over looked the Jacuzzi and the spas that were complimentary to all guests. We enjoyed sitting out on the balcony enjoying the views and sipping on wine we brought from Italy. The complimentary breakfast was fantastic - the croissants were some of the best croissants that we've had - so fresh ! The staff was so friendly and made our stay that much more enjoyable. We would highly recommend staying at Backstage Hotel !!
