Where to Find the Best Halal Food in Orlando, Florida | Eater Miami

"This sister resto to Bad As’s Sandwiches offers nothing but (halal) Australian wagyu burgers starting at a very reasonable $9. Specialty burgers are almost double the price ($16-$17) and double the pattied with such standouts as “The Marley,” cramming a mix of roasted pineapple, caramelized onions, jerk mayo, and gooey gouda in between brioche buns, and “The Apocalypto” with bacon, jalapeno poppers, smoked cheddar and guajillo barbecue sauce. Don’t overlook the French onion soup or the scrummy shakes." - Faiyaz Kara

Google
No ketchup served at this restaurant which was a deal breaker for me. Serving fries & tots with no ketchup is just bad business. Service was not very friendly. Very small dining area inside the restaurant so we had to eat outside on the patio in the heat. Prices were high in my opinion avg. price around $16 for a sandwich, fries & tots were extra.

Google
As upon arriving to the place, the music is blasting it made it hard to hear anything the guy behind register was saying.. As proceeded though a guy with a Afro who took my order (not profiling didn’t get his name) I told him it was my first time here & asked him what are the most popular items as I couldn’t decide on the details provided.. He ultimately just said look at the menu those are our options or details of anything… no recommendations, no favorites or suggestions.. he had a dull attitude as well.. I ordered “The eddy signature burger” close to 19$ with a side of beef tallow fries around 3$ came to find out it was a semi decent burger but the portions of fries was so small.. pictures included I could have just got a meal from McDonald’s for 10$ instead of 20$ lol. But it was a place to try for first time and a experience to not come back please adjust rates and make sure food is portioned to the price.. don’t know if it was just a bad time to come in or what but the place was empty only 1 person in there upon arrival. I expected a (bad ass burger) as advertised.

Google
The burger I had here was one of the BEST I have ever had! And the fries…delicious. We will definitely be back. Super friendly, knowledgeable staff and very casual, comfortable atmosphere. I ate my food so fast, you only get an “after” picture.

Google
Yeah. Go here to get a burger. Top tier place for burgers in Orlando. Excellent service. Order online is easy. Lots of parking. All the sauces are amazing. Fries are excellent.

Google
The BEST burger ever tasted!! 2nd year running we have came from the UK & it is does not disappoint! Highly recommend 👏🏼👏🏼 3 ingrediant bread, Australian Grass Fed Wagyu beef, & all chips & sweet potato cooked in beef tallow 🤝🏻

Google
My son and I like to try new places for our weekend lunches together and this past Sunday we tried Bad As’s Burgers- they did not disappoint! The burgers and fries were delicious! I had the Eddy and my son had a waffle burger (I can’t remember the name). Cooked perfectly, sauce was great, flavors all paired well- really pleased. The service was excellent- the lady who took our order at the counter was very nice and friendly. She even offered to take the photo for us! And the price was very reasonable especially for wagyu. I would definitely recommend and we’ll be back!

Google
Bad Ass Burger never misses! The burgers are absolutely amazing – every single time. The Eddy is my go-to – loaded with flavor and always cooked to perfection. The service is consistently friendly and welcoming, which makes every visit even better. Plus, the online ordering is super easy and always spot-on. Thanks for keeping it delicious and hassle-free!

Google
We were looking for a seed oil free dining option before going to airport. This place was amazing!! Quality burgers, beef tallow fries and they make their buns fresh every morning!!

Yelp
--when at Bad Ass Burgers (www.badassjoints.com) and you can't decide between a burger, wings or a Pizza Frita (yeah peeps the Pizza Frita is a game changer right here)... you order ALL THREE and get the owner to come out and shake your hand AND you get to take a bunch of food home! The Pizza Frita will not last the night!

Yelp
So good and quick. If you see the store front you'll probably think, I'm not eating there, that's a mistake. It's so good! There's nothing fancy about the place, tables, chairs, and amazing food. What more do you need? Clover took our order and greeted us when we walked in. I had the single BA original burger with fries, OMG it was so fresh, juicy and tasty. I wasn't really hungry, but I ate there entire thing. I know I'll be back.

Yelp
Great service! The guys were very helpful since it wax our first time. I highly recommend it.

Yelp
This cool little burger joint was spot ON with a top quality and super tasty lunch. I tried one of the specials and was impressed with the perfectly cooked double cheese burger and even more perfectly made fries. So good. Expecting this spot to blow up with the foodies with the cool owner Johnny leading the way. I'll definitely be back for more.

Yelp
Food Genuinely portion correctly . Customer Service on point . Very helpful . Food taste I give a 7 out 10 . Ambiance felt like I was definitely in environment where it is fun and friendly. Music on point . I definitely felt invited . Employees brought the food to us and checked in on us at table . If I had to change anything lower music just a bit so we can hear each other . That would be it . Awesome place

Yelp
My husband and I went there for a good burger. We were not disappointed. There were many interesting ingredients, all of quality and flavor. The burger was a little on the pricey side, but you get what you pay for. And we got EXACTLY what we wanted. The place could use a little TLC and finishing touches on the décor, but we weren't going to an art exhibit, we went there for burgers. This place was the spot! A+ There was a staff member sitting at a table, reading a book, quietly enjoying his meal while joyfully giggling at his readings. It was charming and sweet. The music was tasteful and relaxing. I found myself rocking softly while I positively STUFFED my face with an oversized burger bite. The chef smiled openly and was concerned for how we enjoyed our meal. Solid decision to dine there. We will return.
google avatar

Scott W.

Yelp
The burgers were okay, but not amazing. The seating area is small, which is okay, but it was dirty and not well cared for. The music was deafening and we had to ask for it to be turned down. Had two burgers and one order of fries. The bill was $44. For that amount I'll go to Flemings and enjoy the ambience.

Yelp
I have been to Bad As's Sandwiches a number of times and found it consistently excellent. So, when I heard about the burger joint the last time I was in, I had to give it a try. They started out on the right foot for me. I got stuck in traffic and arrived just 10 minutes before they were to close for their daily hour break between lunch (12-4) and dinner (5-10). I fully expected them to tell me to come back at 5, but the thought was never even mentioned. The guy at the counter helped this first timer make a selection and soon I was the only customer in the place. I was never rushed at any point. The food was fantastic! It lived up to the billing. Beef tallow fries were amazing, plain or dipped in the onion soup au jus or dipped in the house made ketchup. EVERYTHING is house made. The buns, the pickles, the sauces - you name it. And it shows. I got The Eddy burger - one patty was more than enough for me. Eddy - smoked cheddar, bacon, arugula, crispy onions, house made pickles, black garlic mayo. I generally never have mayo on a burger, but this complemnted the rest of the ingredients perfectly. As I was preparing to leave, I had a nice chat with the owner/chef. Nice guy. Told me all about the place and the place he had in the near future to add more menu items (no spoilers from me). Great food. Cool spot!

Yelp
The hamburgers here have a unique flavor. The sauce is well-prepared and delicious. The prices are reasonable for the quality. The restaurant is spacious and clean. I will definitely come back again.

James C.

Yelp
Fantastic burgers! Balanced combinations and strong taste characteristics. Everything was seasoned and cooked correctly. All you desire from a fantastic burger. Tallow fries are also rather good!
google avatar

Rafael R.

Yelp
Service was great. Burger was off for me. Too much ketchup n mayo to enjoy the burger. The blue cheese didn't taste like blue cheese. Soda was flat.
google avatar

Jeremy L.

Yelp
We love Bad As's Sandwiches, so we decided to try their burger place. We like the sandwiches better, but the burgers here are quite good. One of my favorite burgers in town. Best burger in Orlando: 1. Hangry Bison 2. Marlowe's Tavern 3. Bad As's Burgers
google avatar

David W.

Yelp
I came here to try it out because I had went to Bad As Sandwiches. It was good. There was no unique taste. Solid. I would recommend over McDonalds. The service was quick. I would like to try other menu items.
google avatar

Larry S.

Yelp
Ordered the burger medium rare. It was cooked to perfection. The fries were good but not freshly cut. They fry using beef tallow because they say it tastes better. The people working there were great. I will be returning to their restaurant again soon.

Yelp
So I have been meaning to try this place for a while. I'm a huge burger fan and I know they have their sandwich shop as well. The ambiance was ok. They had a good playlist of music going on. And the service was fairly quick. Then again for a Friday night I expected it to be a bit busier. The burger honestly was ok. It was very messy assembly as you can see from the pictures. I was expecting a whole lot more being that I paid $23 for this Wagyu burger and fries with a drink combo. It lacked some flavor. The fries didn't match the theme of burgers they are going for, meaning they were your average fries nothing special. Not sure I'd come back but that was my first try. I may give them another chance
google avatar

Mariana B.

Yelp
The restaurant is small but very comfy. Staff are very friendly. We went there twice so far. First time they have a special burger for Halloween, which was amazing. And everything else delicious. Second time was ok. But for sure we are going to return again.

Kimberly B.

Yelp
Saw this place on Instagram.... Ya'll this is THE BEST BURGER PLACE EVER!!! A hidden gem with mouthwatering menu choices, fresh buns, house made sauces, delicious milk shakes, wings and an INCREDIBLE CREW! You can tell by the taste and flavor profiles that EVERYTHING IS MADE WITH LOVE!! We will definitely be back!!
google avatar

Salman K.

Yelp
I tried the BA Original. The burgers are made with Australian wagyu halal beef. The quality and taste of the burger was excellent. It is a bit odd that the burgers are halal, but the fries are fried in non-halal beef tallow, so you can't order fries with your burger! Overall, if I was in the area again, I would definitely stop by!
google avatar

David D.

Yelp
Wanted to love this place but it was just good, not great. Would not likely repeat. First ding is no Dr Pepper or Mr Pibb. Second is the fries were just a lower end frozen fry. At this price point I would have expected either fresh cut or a higher end frozen fry like one of the coated options that some places offer. The burger seemed like it was good quality beef, but I didn't find the beef to be very flavorful. They don't cook to temperature so my double cheeseburger had zero pink, which could be why I didn't find it very flavorful.
google avatar

John M.

Yelp
Best burger I've had in Orlando hands down and their fries are so good way better than McDonald's using the same method
google avatar

Audrey N.

Yelp
Great spot with delicious burgers and a fun atmosphere. The staff was attentive, and the menu had creative options. Prices were reasonable too. Highly recommended!

Yelp
Went to go there to eat during the day around 4:30 and the guy had open sign on I saw him and he saw me and he just looked at me while he was eating. Lost my business
google avatar

Sarah C.

Yelp
This was the weirdest experience I've ever had eating a burger. I felt like I was in a simulation. Let's start with not judging books by its cover. The presentation was nice but there was no flavor. The pickles tasted like they had cinnamon on them?????? The guy went mute and was confused and distorted when I said no bun on my burger and had to come back after we ordered to ask again. There were creepy crawling spiders inside. Half way through eating they blasted music which made me jump. I could not hear my boyfriend we had to scream to talk. I love music but this was way too loud. Overall a 3/10

Yelp
We got a little lost trying to get here with GPS navagation. It's bit hard to find since it's a small location and sandwiched in a small plaza. The burgers are delicious, but boldly priced. I got The Eddy. I didn't notice until I looked at the menu for second time that they substituted one of the greens for another since they were out. I would've liked to have been informed about it ahead of time so that maybe I could've substituted with another topping. Adding a side makes this meal ever more pricey, but what's a burger without fries/tots? It was a hefty amount of food. Next time, I might opt for a build-your-own single patty and try one of their shakes. It's a cute little shop with delicious burgers, but be ready to spend a tad more than what you're used to.

Yelp
I stopped by the restaurant on Tuesday, November 8, 2022. After reviewing the menu and speaking to the owner of the establishment I decided on "The Marley" Signature Hamburger which consists of two Australian Wagyu patties (8 ounces), roasted pineapple, jerk mayo, caramelized onions, gouda cheese all on a house-made bun. I also opted for an additional $3.99 on a basket of fries and a fountain soda. The meal itself was wonderful. The burger was cooked perfectly with just the right amount of seasoning. The ingredients to this burger made for a perfect balance on the palate. The fries were also on point as they were presented with a crunchy exterior with a light, fluffy interior. But what brought it all together for me was the enthusiasm the owner had for his restaurant and the products he was serving. John would greet people as they came in, remembered individuals who've been at his other restaurants and go through through his menu with each and every customer. A business person with a passion for what he does and the product quality to back-up what he is saying...kudos and continued success.

Yelp
Tiny place with super uncomfortable chairs nestled between La Familia pawn shop and Amscot check cashing place. The burgers were pretty good though with an interesting selection of toppings. The buns were a little dry, maybe toasting them may have helped. The coke zero was out of syrup and the regular fries were nothing special so I suggest you skip them and order the sweet potato fries which were delicious. Walk up to the counter and order and they bring you your food when it's done. All in all an ok place for a burger but I will stick to their sandwich place which is fabulous.
google avatar

Yelp
I've heard a lot of great things about bad ass burgers and sandwiches so I had to give it a try. I love a simple burger, so I got the original BA burger. I was disappointed to find that it didn't have much flavor. I had to put on extra ketchup to make up for it. I ordered the combo that comes with fries and a drink. The portion of the fries was great, however they tasted old and cold. This place has been on my go to list and is very hyped up, but I was truly upset that my experience wasn't great. The service was great and they were very helpful and even offered free fries to my friend who didn't realize you had to order them separately. It's a very small dining area but it wasn't busy so we were able to find a table for four easily.

Yelp
I love Bad As's Sandwiches so when I found out they were opening up a burger spot right down the road from me I was super excited and have been patiently waiting for them to open. The wait is over and they are currently in their soft opening with their grand opening approaching. A group of us stopped in ready to satisfy a burger craving. They have a small seating area and you can order right at the counter. They have signature burger options with lots of yummy sounding combos and you can also build your own burger. They have fries, shakes, and French onion soup as well. My boyfriend and I both opted for a build your own burger and some of our other group members chose signature options. One friend got their Halloween special on a black charcoal activated bun; it had sweet potato fries on it and came out looking like a spider, so cute! I opted for a single patty burger with bacon, mushrooms, Gouda, lettuce, tomato, garlic Mayo ketchup, and a fried egg. The burger was delicious! The beef was perfectly cooked and juicy, I loved the seasonal mushrooms they were using, and the egg was runny like I love it. Perfect messy burger for sure! My only critique is that the bun was a bit on the dry side in my opinion, but I know it's their soft opening and they may still be perfecting things. Not a big deal and it held together to burger and toppings nicely. The burger was very filling; I was barely able to finish mine. We also had to try the fries which were delicious and I tasted my friend's cookies and cream milkshake which was also yummy. Everyone working there was friendly and towards the end of our meal we even saw the owner himself checking to see how everything was. Overall, this is definitely going to be a go to spot for me when I'm craving a burger and it's an awesome addition to the neighborhood! I'm excited to try more flavor combos next time!

Yelp
I am a big fan of Bad A's Sandwiches so this was a definite must try for me. We chose a Sunday afternoon and by luck just missed a rush. There is a lot to take in for the menu. They have specialty burgers with chef curated ingredients to choose or you can just build your own. Since they have 2 patties I chose to build my own so I could get the single patty option. I certainly knew I wanted to try fries as well as a milkshake so I needed to maximize stomach space. Be aware they use Wagyu beef which is very lean. A lean burger with less fat may be healthier but you will not experience the juicy drips that many associate with burgers. Nothing wrong with the burger but it was just OK to me. The fries were pretty good though. I understand the cook them in beef tallow and they were crispy on the outside and soft and warm on the inside with a good amount of saltiness to them. Two of the specialty shakes I wanted to try were already sold out. (Pumpkin and Apple Pie) so I went with a basic chocolate shake. That tasted fine as well. Not too thick and not too thin. The chocolate was not overpowering and felt more like a malt to me. The price was more than fair for the amount of food and it's quality! Service was excellent even though they were new and still training they were super. I will keep an eye on the specials and will go back and try some of the new creations they come up with. Definitely, you should stop in and check it out when you are in the area.

Yelp
Great service from Isiah. He walked us through the menu. I got a double build your own burger and added bacon of course. Restaurant was clean and inviting. Will definitely be back again..

Yelp
Taste: 10/10 These burgers are ! They taste great! It's not like fast food chain burgers. It tastes fresh and "real". Appearance: 10/10 (Refer to photo) Value: 10/10 They use 100% Australian Wagyu Beef in their burgers. You can taste the difference in their high-quality beef. General Comment: I've never tasted a burger like this at any burger establishment. It was highly recommended to me, so I already had high expectations. I'm glad to say that I was not disappointed! From their Wagyu Beef to in-house made brioche bun... it's worth every penny. Their blue cheese, which I love, is rich and creamy. The buns are soft and fluffy. This is my official burger joint, and I HIGHLY recommend that you try out their food! The employee at the register was easy to work with and correctly to my order. The logo is as well. It's a nice done-in spot with good lighting. I'm also looking forward to trying out their shakes!

Yelp
Great burgers and worth the I'm definitely getting some more! I'm willing to try their other restaurant Bad S's sandwiches on my next trip.

Yelp
IF I COULD GIVE 6 STARS I WOULDDD!! Seriously one of the best burgers I have ever had!! My husband and I came here specifically for the fact it is all made in beef tallow and ended up with some of the most helpful, friendly workers!! They had incredible service, super fast, clean place, amazing burger and fries, and good vibes!! If you want a great burger for a decent price you actually have to go here!!

Yelp
Stop scrolling! OMYGOODNESS sooooooo good. Gourmet burger! Mind blown! Great job guys!
google avatar

Kaizamar F.

Yelp
I got "The professional" burger with fries and added blue cheese to it. It was sooo goood! I also had the cookies and cream shake. This place makes great burgers and we keep coming back again and again but keep ordering the same thing because it's soo good. Great place to grab a bite with friends or order to go.
google avatar

Alex R.

Yelp
How can this be ok? Seriously...show you care so people go back. Every burger counts. Consistently delivering a solid burger creates a loyal following. Take out should not be a factor in lowering the quality. No way you offer this mess while dining in.
google avatar

Chan'tial V.

Yelp
The restaurant was clean but empty. Based on the description I was very excited; sounded like it was going to be a good burger. However, after my first bite I was disappointed. The burger itself did not have any flavor (seasoning) and was dry. You could only taste the toppings and sauce. The sweet potato fries was even worth taking a picture- they were burnt.
google avatar

Tony M.

Yelp
Melvin was an amazing front desk person who helped us order these two amazing burgers that blow away any place in town. Keep this place up it's the best.

Yelp
I've been a fan of Bad As's Sandwiches ever since they opened years ago. When I heard that they were expanding the brand to include a burger joint, they had my attention and interest. It took me a while to finally give them a shot, and I really wish I would have done so earlier because my first experience with Bad As's Burgers was excellent. Coming home from work today, I was tired, but I was also craving a good burger and fries. I found that Bad As's Burgers takes orders through UberEats, so I decided that tonight's the night to check them out. First of all, they don't use your standard, run-of-the-mill beef patty for their burgers. They use 100% wagyu beef from Australia, and that justifies their pricing. Also, they offer a "build-your-own-burger" option, but I prefer to try the menu's specialties before venturing out on my own. On UberEats, the double patty is kind of the default action, but usually a single patty is enough for me, so I went with the single Eddy burger, which consists of smoked cheddar, bacon, arugula, crispy onions, house pickles, and house garlic mayo along with a side order of fries because what is a burger without a side of fries? First of all, I can't even imagine the double patty version of this burger because the single patty version was enormous! The bun was huge itself, and the patty and toppings only add to it. I'm not saying this as a negative thing; you really get your money's worth here. The burger was delicious and all of the ingredients made a delicious pairing. Just like their sandwich shop, these guys know what they're doing. Their fries were pretty good, too! They included a side of their house made ketchup which is always a plus to me over throwing a couple of Heinz packets into a bag. And the fry portions are an almost Five Guys like situation where you get a huge amount of fries just for asking. I'm looking forward to trying some of their other signature burgers, and I'd like to give their "build-your-own-burger" a chance given the mass amount of options they give for toppings and dressing. I'd say that if you're into burgers, and you're sick of fast-food, give Bad As's Burgers a go. The prices are a bit high but the quality explains exactly why that is. The service was great as they prepared my order and had it delivered before my scheduled delivery time. And if you plan on ordering the standard double-patty burger, I hope you're hungry because this place brings it in terms of what you get and what you pay for.
google avatar

Adrianne L.

Yelp
EXCELLENT! The quality of everything is just out of this world... The service is elite.. you would think this was fine dining with how attentive and kind the service is (which shows me they are treated well as employees to be so happy and enthusiastic) and lastly the most important.. The taste!!! The best tasting burger I have had in a very long time... don't hesitate to come here .. everything is a guaranteed good time. I truly wish I would've gotten the names of everyone working tonight. They treatment we received was just what makes me want to keep going and supporting a business..this experience is hard to beat.
google avatar

Jazzy D.

Yelp
Don't let the size of this place fool ya! They've got some really good burgers. I came with my boyfriend and we ordered the Apocalypto and the Marley. Though they are a bit pricy, they were delicious! The vibes were nice with the friendly staff. I'd recommend calling ahead if you're with a large party as the dining area is very small.
google avatar

Jason R.

Yelp
I'll give it a 5 for the background music alone... Red Hot Chili Peppers and chemical brothers!! What? But you know we're here to have the burgers. They are f'ng bd azz. Omg just go now. Also they home bake there own rolls!! Jesus!!

Shaquita B.

Yelp
The food was delicious! The burger was juicy packed with flavor. The fries were crispy but maybe could use some seasoning. Their special sauce was really good. It came on the standard burger. The restaurant is a bit small. Luckily we went during a slower time so we could get a seat. It was also a bit expensive for a burger and fries.
google avatar

Aimee B.

Yelp
Small location that is selling some pretty awesome burgers. We were a larger party, but able to pull up a chair to one of the tables to make room for everyone. Most of our group selected the build your own burger with the toppings that everyone wanted specifically. It is a great option for those that have specific wants/needs for their burgers. Everyone said their burgers were cooked correctly and they enjoyed their food. I did one of the signature burgers - the professional. It was cooked perfectly and the gruyere cheese was melted perfectly. The french onion soup was great to dip in. I am not a fan of french onion soup, but this was like a perfectly matched au jus sauce to dip the burger in (even though it didn't need it). We all shared some fries (and we should have had 3 orders instead of 2 since they were so tasty). The staff was friendly, answered all of our questions, and even came to check on us. We will be back in to get some of the juicy, well seasoned burgers soon!!

Yelp
We are fans of the Bad As's sandwiches and heard that they had a burger place. Naturally, we decided we wanted it for lunch on a Saturday. They are a very new joint so they are working to get things right (and are receptive to requests like turning the air up if it's too cold). I think the wagyu patty idea is awesome, but I think the price and the product need a little tweaking to match better. For the price that you pay, you do imagine some delicious food, but it did blow me away as I expected. That's not to say it's bad though - the burger was flavorful and spot-on with how they explained it! It was a great experience and I would highly recommend trying it if you're in the area!

Yelp
I've been craving a burger for quite some time, I live in the curry ford area, so a quick Yelp search landed me at this new place. It is intimate there are 2 tables that seat 4 and the rest are little high tops. We lucked out that they weren't that busy when we arrived so we parked it and ate in. The girl taking our order was great, I was with 2 little ones and she was patient and explained everything in detail. They had some custom shakes so I got one of those and we grabbed the eddy, a custom burger and the BA... omg everything was so good. The burgers were juicy and flavorful. The black garlic Mayo was to die for. Literally got some on the side to dip my fries in. The milkshake was hand spun deliciousness. I can't wait to go back and bring my friends.

Yelp
My husband and I decided to give this place a try last night knowing how much we LOVE Bad As's Sandwiches, and WOW John has done it again!!! Juicy and flavorful burgers on probably the most amazing buns I've ever had. My husband kept saying "wow, what flavor!" with ever bite. We ordered the BA Original and The Eddy. Well done!! We can't wait to return and try some of the other signature burgers.

Yelp
I have attempted to come here before but with the selective schedule I have missed out. Finally made it. Burger was perfect, fries were ok. Def excited to try more of the menu. Loved Bad as's sandwich and hope this keeps up.
